Ma$e Seemingly Accuses Diddy Of Canceling His Tour Dates With Cam’ron & Jadakiss

Ma$e has seemingly accused Diddy of being behind the cancelation of his upcoming tour dates with Cam’ron and Jadakiss.

The Harlem rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 11) to react to a number of dates on the trio’s 3 Headed Monster Tour being axed.

Ticketmaster’s website reveals concerts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Long Island, New York; and Sunrise, Florida that were scheduled to take place this month are no longer going ahead.

In his Instagram caption, Ma$e appeared to point the finger at Diddy by claiming he has a “#1 hater [behind the scenes]” trying to sabotage his career.

“It’s Time To Show People What Fearless Looks Like,” he wrote. “‘No Matter What Happens, I’m Not Stopping Nothing That I’m Doing!’ So Y’all Can Cancel All of The Dates I will not apologize for what’s right! EITHER WAY I WILL BE PERFORMING SOMEWHERE!!!

“Also, to my #1 hater BTS make sure you pull up since your trying to stop everything I do BTS. We know what’s going on… but it’s not gonna work. Just setting me up for a bigger break! – Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.”

Ma$e’s post was accompanied by a TikTok video soundtracked by his and Biggie’s “Mo Money Mo Problems” in which he said: “You know me by now — you can’t move me with money. I quit at the height of my career. I don’t care about money, n-gga, it’s the principle.”

Ma$e’s Instagram post comes just days after Diddy labeled him a “fake pastor” and claimed he owes him $3 million during an interview on The Breakfast Club.

Ma$e responded by bringing up Puff’s mother, claiming the “receipts” that supposedly prove the Bad Boy boss never stole money from his artists are in her possession.

The Harlem World hitmaker later doubled down on his comments, claiming he’s repeatedly tried to mend fences with Diddy, but each time his efforts have been rebuffed.

“These guys have organized a mass effort to slander my name behind the scenes,” he said in a YouTube video. “But I want you to know I’m up for it. I’m anointed to dethrone evil … I’m up for all the smoke he has to bring. Puff can’t beat me at anything. Anything. And he knows that.”

During his appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast in July, Ma$e explained his “disdain” for Diddy stems from feeling underpaid and underappreciated for his contribution to Bad Boy’s success, as well as having his career held back.

“I never got paid what I was worth and I never got the respect I was worth,” he said. “So the disdain is like, ‘You’re tryna keep me here, n-gga? I’m not here. All my peers is up here. All my peers are bosses.’”

He added: “When it’s time, just like somebody raise somebody up, they did work with you, they go from your lawman to maybe A&R to something else – he just kept tryna keep me right here, like he didn’t want me to grow at anything.”

Kanye West’s Appearance On LeBron James’ ‘The Shop’ Pulled Due To ‘More Hate Speech’

Kanye West‘s appearance on LeBron James’ The Shop has been scrapped due to him spouting “more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes” while recording the episode.

Maverick Carter, who runs LeBron’s SpringHill Entertainment production company, issued a statement about the decision to Andscape on Tuesday (October 11), revealing the episode was taped on Monday (October 10) after being booked weeks in advance.

“Yesterday we taped an episode of The Shop with Kanye West,” he said. “Kanye was booked weeks ago and, after talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.

“We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks. While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate.”

Carter added: “I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.”

Sources close to the production said Kanye West made anti-Semitic remarks during the episode. Other guests included Jeezy and shoe designer Salehe Bembury, but LeBron James wasn’t present.

Shay Johnson Labels Bambi A “Groupie Turned Wife” After Bambi Calls Her Lil Scrappy’s Former Side Chick

Shay Johnson and Bambi exchanged heated words on social media on Tuesday (October 11) after a new episode of Love & Hip Hop ATL aired.

During the episode, Bambi is seen talking to Sierra Gates about the strained relationship with her mother-in-law Momma Dee. She tells Sierra that Lil Scrappy wants her to make peace with his mother.

However, after years of insults and disagreements, Bambi isn’t jumping at the proposal. Instead, Bambi mentions that Momma Dee’s foul behavior includes publicly supporting Scrappy’s former flames.

“But [Momma Dee’s] never going to stop. Even right now, you see her posting b****es [Lil Scrappy] use to f**k with,” Bambi told Sierra. In a confessional video, Bambi added “Momma Dee just posted a video of Scrap’s old side chick Shay, congratulating this lady on her baby and she’s talking ’bout she’s going to be the god-grandmother or some sh*t. And now, you got people on the internet assuming that the baby is gonna be Scrap’s.”

Shay Claps Back At Bambi, Says She’s NEVER Been A Side Chick 

Well, it’s obvious Shay caught the reality show’s latest episode! She took to Instagram with a throwback clip and a clarification of her former association with Scrappy and current relationship with his mama. The clip shows Erica Dixon, the mother of Scrappy’s eldest daughter, confronting Bambi for sleeping with him during their engagement.

“I wouldn’t have anything to say if the petty sh*t about me wasn’t aired LAST NIGHT on national television. I mind my business and stay out of family sh*t that’s not my place,” Shay wrote in the caption. “I’ve made this clear to @tharealmommadee as well but to go on tv to call me a side chick was petty so just to be clear Lol I was NEVER a side chick for no man.”

Bambi Accuses Shay Of Using Scrappy For A Storyline; Shay Calls Her A “Groupie Turned Wife”

Not long after Shay posted her clap back, Bambi got things popping in the comment section. She blasted Shay with accusations of using her husband as a storyline for the show.

“You were quick to defend yourself for being a “side chick,” but crickets when y’all were insinuating my husband was your baby daddy for ya storyline,” Bambi wrote. “Honestly. all this is cap–including this clip. We both know that engagement ended right after that reunion. If you gonna use Erica for a fact bible post the clip where she called you the family pet, is that one fact also?”

 

Once again, Shay caught Bambi’s shade and launched it right back with a comment section clapback. Shay tagged Bambi, saying Bam allowed the public’s comments to piss her off, even though she never explicitly said Scrappy was her child’s father.

The reality star added that the identity of her daughter’s father is nobody’s business but that she will choose when and how to reveal him to the world.

“As far as a storyline, you were talking about me last night I never mentioned you at all on the show. So please stop with the bullsh*t,” Shay wrote. “Last but not least we both know the engagement ended because he was f**king you and Erica can clear that up. Family pet, girl stop #GroupieTurnWife.”

She added that Bambi can’t get mad at her given that she “started the sh*t talking.”

(Update) Former San Antonio Officer Turns Himself In As He Faces Assault Charges For Shooting Teen In A McDonald’s Parking Lot 

Tuesday night, former San Antonio officer James Brennand turned himself in to officials after it was announced he is facing two counts of aggravated assault by a public servant for the October 2nd shooting of 17-year-old Erik Cantu, who is now on life support.

According to CNN, Police Chief William McManus announced that there was an aggravated assault charge filed for each person who was in the car. As previously reported, Cantu was in the driver’s seat the night of the incident, and there was also a passenger as well, but that person was not injured.

McManus said the shooting was “unjustified both administratively and criminally.” He continued to say,

“We worked on this for several days to get to this point where we could submit a warrant to a judge for signature, and that’s where we are right now.”

McManus previously stated that the aggravated assault charges could increase to homicide if Cantu does not survive.

Brennand, who was on the police force for seven months, was terminated after body camera footage showed him approaching the vehicle and opening up the door as he ordered Cantu to get out of the car. As Cantu placed the car in reverse, Brennand opened fire five times on the car and fired an additional five times as the car drove away.

McManus spoke about arriving at the scene and seeing the location of the bullet holes. He said,

“When I saw it, the location of the bullet holes, I had an issue with it right away. You can tell by looking at the vehicles, which way the vehicle is moving when the shots are fired, and this vehicle, it was very telling to me, that this vehicle was moving away from the officer, and moving parallel with the officer, so it was pretty clear to me at that point that we were going to have an issue.”

As previously mentioned, Brennand reportedly believed the car Cantu had been driving was stolen and he called for backup. However, he approached the vehicle before his backup arrived. It was mentioned that Brennand noticed the vehicle that had evaded him the day prior as he attempted to stop the car because the registered license plate did not match the actual vehicle.

At the time of the incident he was responding to a unrelated disturbance call that did not involve the car Cantu had been driving in that night.

How Super Bowl Halftime Shows Lead to Super Sales, From Michael Jackson to Dr. Dre

Ever since Michael Jackson ushered in the blockbuster era of the Super Bowl halftime show when he headlined in 1993, nearly every performer who has graced the stage on sports’ (and TV’s) biggest night has enjoyed sizable boosts in sales and streams. Looking to continue this tradition is Rihanna, who is set to hit the midfield stage early next year when she headlines Super Bowl LVII. 

With few exceptions, Super Bowl halftime headliners have seen a sizable commercial uptick over the last 30 years. In 2002,  U2 saw sales for three of the band’s key albums (All That You Can’t Leave Behind, The Joshua Tree and Best of 1980-1990) more than double in the week following the performance. In 2004, Janet Jackson — in spite of, or perhaps because of, the singer’s infamous “Nipplegate” controversy — saw a similar jump. Particularly large sales gains were also seen for Paul McCartney in 2005, Prince in 2007, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in 2008, Madonna in 2012, Katy Perry and Missy Elliott in 2015, Coldplay and Bruno Mars in 2016 and, in 2017, Lady Gaga, who saw a whopping 1,000%  gain in digital album and song sales on Super Bowl Sunday alone.

In 2022, the halftime show — headlined by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige — averaged 103.4 million viewers across television and streaming in the U.S., according to NBCUniversal, which aired the event. The game itself garnered 112.3 million viewers – its best showing in five years.

Angela Lansbury’s Best Music Moments

Angela Lansbury, who died Tuesday (Oct. 11) at the age of 96, never had a Billboard Hot 100 hit and never personally received a Grammy nomination. But, in a long string of Broadway and movie hits, she introduced many songs that are widely known and loved. Among them: “Beauty and the Beast,” the title song from the 1991 Disney film of the same name, which won an Oscar for best original song and a Grammy for song of the year.

Impressively, Lansbury received career-capping honorary awards from three of the four EGOT awards shows. She was inducted into the TV Academy Hall of Fame in 1996, received an honorary award from the Motion Picture Academy in 2013 and received a special Tony Award for lifetime achievement just this year. (Nothing like cutting it close, Tonys!)

Lansbury won four Tony Awards for best actress in a musical – which is still the record in that category – putting her ahead of fellow Broadway legends Mary Martin and Gwen Verdon, with three wins each. Lansbury won for Mame, Dear World, a revival of Gypsy and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. What’s more, Lansbury received a 1985 Emmy nomination (outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program) for a performance of Sweeney Todd on PBS’ Great Performances.

The original cast albums from Mame and Sweeney Todd won Grammys for what is now called best musical theater album. The award for Mame went to its composer/lyricist, Jerry Herman. The award for Sweeney Todd went to its composer/lyricist, Stephen Sondheim, as well as album producer Thomas Z. Shepard. Two of Lansbury’s other cast albums – for revivals of The King and I (1978) and A Little Night Music (2010) – were also nominated in that Grammy category.

Several of Lansbury’s cast albums and soundtracks registered on the Billboard 200. Among them: Beauty and the Beast, which reached No. 19 in 1992; Mame, which hit No. 23 in 1966; Sweeney Todd, which reached No. 78 in 1979; and Dear World, which reached No. 128 in 1969.

Lansbury was also an always-welcome host of awards shows. She hosted or co-hosted the Tony Awards five times, more often than anyone else, and hosted the Emmy Awards once (in 1993). Lansbury received an Emmy nomination for the first time she solo-hosted the Tonys (in 1987). The nod was for outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program.

Here Are the 2022 MLB Playoffs’ Most Popular Walk-Up Song Artists, From Bad Bunny to Drake

It’s a shame Cleveland Guardians’ rookie outfielder Oscar Gonzalez doesn’t get to pick the walk-up music for every Major League Baseball player — his delightful choice is the theme song from SpongeBob SquarePants. Far more widespread in stadiums throughout the four Division Series, which begin Tuesday (Oct. 11), is superstar rapper Bad Bunny, who, according to data the MLB provided for the remaining eight playoff teams, soundtracks eight players’ trips to the plate (including the Atlanta Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. and Eddie Rosario, who each use two different Bad Bunny tracks).

Billboard crunched the numbers to highlight the most popular walk-up music stars for the eight remaining playoff teams. Given the number of Latino players in baseball, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Elvis Crespo, Anuel AA and Los Hermanos Rosario are especially popular, and just about everybody gets a rise out of hip-hop.

Outside the below list, there are plenty of SpongeBob-type outliers: Houston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers’ use of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight”; not one but two uses of Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold”; Braves third baseman Austin Riley’s adaptation of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s classic wrestling intro; Garrett Stubbs of the Philadelphia Phillies going way back to Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life”; and Sean Manaea of the Padres going way soft with Grover Washington Jr.’s “Just the Two of Us.” Reliever Edwin Diaz’s team, the New York Mets, may be out, but Timmy Trumpet’s “Narco” carries on, for the Braves’ William Contreras and others.

Exclusive to Billboard, the MLB shared walk-up songs for nearly all 26 players on each team’s playoff roster, or about 200 overall (some of whom walk out to multiple songs).

Colombian Singer Andres Cuervo Dies

Andrés Cuervo, the Colombian artist behind the hit single “La Receta,” died last week in Paris, according to a statement that his publicity agency JAQUE shared with Billboard on Tuesday (Oct. 11).

According to the agency, headquartered in Colombia, the 40-year-old singer died of a heart attack Wednesday (Oct. 5) in his apartment in Paris, where he had been residing. A few weeks ago, the singer and model had participated in New York Fashion Week, where he walked the runway for fashion designer H.cubel. “Closing the runway and representing Colombia with great pride ,” he captioned a carousel of photos he posted on Instagram.

Born in Barranquilla in 1982, Cuervo began to sing at a very young age, influenced by pop and rock music, and had a knack for songwriting. At 20 years old, he released his first studio album, Tras De Ti (2008), which put him on the map not only in his native Colombia, but across Latin America. With Este Soy Yo, released five years later, he had a breakthrough in Mexico and other countries. His latest production, Historias de Amor (2015), was packed with pop-rock ballads.

His first No. 1 on Billboard was thanks to “La Receta,” which topped the Tropical Airplay chart in 2015. His second entry on the Tropical Airplay tally was “Vivirla Bien” with Osmani García, which peaked at No. 15 in 2018. He also collaborated with Colombian pop star Fanny Lú on his single “No Pidamos Perdón.” Most recently, he had released songs such as “Creo En Ti” and “My Sexy Girl.”

(Video Update) Gulfport Shooting: Police Chief Alleges Jaheim McMillan Had A Weapon & Ignored Command To Put It Down

In the wake of 15-year-old Jaheim McMillan being killed by a Gulfport, MS, police officer, Police Chief Adam Cooper held a press conference and gave a more detailed account of what happened on Thursday, October 6th.

Cooper says that McMillan was “armed” and ignored an order to drop his weapon.

“One of the officers observed McMillan, who was armed. The officer gave orders for him to stop and drop his weapon–McMillan did not comply.

Cooper continued:

McMillan turned both his body and his towards the officer. The officer fired at McMillan. McMillan was struck by the bullet and fell.

The police chief also stated that the case is now in the hands of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and footage will be released once it is complete.

Eye Witness Says Teen Allegedly Had Hands Up

H[is] hands were all the way up. He was scared out of his mind.

The anonymous witness, who was inside of the store during the incident, continued to say:

From where I was standing, I looked up, and Jaheim was moving in a slow motion by the door of the store; then boom, I saw at least five shots go towards this boy’s direction.

Continuing to detail what happened inside of the store, the witness said:

The bullets were hitting all of the store windows and door, and it caught everybody’s attention. I just saw his body drop, and my heart just broke.

The witness also says they didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting, which supports another eye witness’s account who also said she didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting.

He was unarmed from every spot that I saw on him. They continued saying, It was traumatizing knowing that was a child.

Events That Led Up To The Shooting

According to court documents obtained by WLOX, Jaheim McMillan and four other teens were approached by a police officer on Thursday, October 6th, after a call came in and stated a Kia Soul was driving recklessly, rolled down their window, and was “flipping them off.”

The documents also state that “the caller and his passenger said they saw the right rear passenger in the Kia Soul brandished a firearm” at a red light and also put on a “camouflage ski mask” and pointed a gun at them. Eventually, the caller was able to lose the Kia Soul.

Shortly after, police spotted a Kia Soul that matched the description made by the caller in the parking lot of a Family Dollar.

According to police, an officer approached an “armed” suspect, McMillan, which led to shots fired by the officer. McMillan was shot in the head and rushed to Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

It’s also reported that no first aid was rendered to McMillan as he lay on the ground bleeding.

Christina Aguilera Announces New ‘Beautiful’ Music Video: ‘Put Your Mind, Body & Soul First’

Christina Aguilera is celebrating 20 years of her studio album Stripped, and to honor one of career’s biggest singles, the pop superstar revealed on Tuesday (Oct. 11) that she will be unveiling a brand new music video for “Beautiful.”

“In celebration of the 20 year anniversary of Stripped and World Mental Health Day, I’m honored to share a new music video for Beautiful,” she wrote on Twitter, noting that the clip will be arriving on Oct. 19. “Tune out and turn in. Take your space, log off, put your mind, body, and soul first.”

In the accompanying teaser clip, a group of young girls are seen at desks, applying heavy makeup in front of a phone attached to a ring light.

“Beautiful,” released in 2002, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated February 1, 2003 and spent 27 total weeks on the chart. Stripped — which, in addition to “Beautiful,” includes songs like “Fighter,” “Dirrty” and “Can’t Hold Us Down” — also peaked at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart, and it spent an impressive 79 total weeks on the chart.

The pop star famously received backlash when she introduced fans to “Xtina” for Stripped, dying her hair black, posing nude on magazine covers and overall flaunting a more sexually explicit persona for her 2002 album. “I hope I paved the way and helped set the ground rules that women can be any version of themselves they wanna be…and proud of it,” Aguilera told Cosmopolitan in 2018.
