Lizzo Admits She Has a Secret Instagram Account During Hilarious Lie Detector Test: Watch

Lizzo sat down for Vanity Fair‘s Lie Detector Test on Tuesday, and the results were as amusing as you’d expect.

In contrast to the famous lyric in her breakout single “Truth Hurts,” the singer admitted she’s actually never taken a DNA test to determine if she’s really “100 percent that bi—,” as the song goes. (Though if she did, she’d be crossing her fingers to be related to Beyoncé despite her Detroit roots and Queen Bey hailing from Texas.)

However, when it comes to what it takes to actually be “100 percent that bi—,” Lizzo said, “I think it’s owning your identity and having autonomy of your body, and owning that. And of who you are and owning that. Having no shame in your motherf—ing game.”

Later in the interview, Lizzo hesitated to answer a question about whether she’s aiming for EGOT status now that she’s taken home her first Emmy for Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls (not to mention her three Grammys), saying, “See, you can’t spell EGOT without ‘ego,’ and I try to keep my ego out of my career and my purpose.”

Knowing she was hooked up to a polygraph machine, the “About Damn Time” singer was blatantly honest about how much time she spends on TikTok (“It’s a lot, it’s embarrassing”) and copped to having a secret Instagram account where she posts pictures with boyfriend Myke Wright, however she got caught in a lie about whether fans would be surprised with what’s on her TikTok “For You Page.”

In the section about her life, Lizzo revealed that she has, in fact, gotten apologies from former classmates who bullied her in high school for being a band geek. However, the apologies didn’t stop her from refusing to give the unnamed bullies free tickets to her show when they asked (“I feel like I should’ve said ‘yeah,’ but that would’ve been a lie”).

Freddie Gibbs Downplays Jim Jones & Benny The Butcher Fights: ‘Ain’t No Rapper Ever Hit Me’

Freddie Gibbs has been in his fair share of altercations with other rappers and their crews this year, but he’s downplaying the alleged brawls.

Gangsta Gibbs was asked about the scuffles with Jim Jones and Benny The Butcher during his interview with The Breakfast Club and he claimed neither of them actually laid a finger on him.

“All the incidents you see, I was just eating with my girl. I don’t go out trying to start nothing with nobody… I like to fight… Either time could’ve been bad, but everybody naming these rappers and stuff but ain’t no rapper ever hit me,” he explained.

Freddie Gibbs and Benny’s crews were involved in an altercation in May while Gibbs was eating at a restaurant in Buffalo while on tour.

“I’ve been in way worse situations than that,” he continued of the Benny The Butcher altercation around the 17-minute mark. “I can’t control if you bring 30 people to a restaurant with a camera crew to humiliate me but you end up losing.”

Freddie Gibbs also touched on the Jim Jones beef, where he allegedly was involved in another scuffle with Jones’s entourage while out to eat at Miami hot-spot Prime 112 in December.

“I let street shit stay in the streets and I don’t got a problem with anyone doing better than me,” the Indiana native said around the 14-minute mark. “It was some furniture moving, but it was a food fight or something like that. It wasn’t nothing crazy like that. Nobody got fucked up to that point.”

Gibbs squashed at least one feud earlier this month when he extended an olive branch to Jeezy and reached a truce to end their longstanding beef.

Breonna Taylor’s Mother Shares That It Took Several Hours Before She Learned Of Her Passing & That Officers Failed To Inform Her That They Were The Ones That Killed Her 

In the latest episode of Red Table Talk, Jada Pinket-Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris were joined by Breonna Taylor‘s mother, sister, and boyfriend as they spoke about the night of her murder.

During the interview, Breonna’s mother, Tamika Palmer shared that the night of the fatal shooting, officers had been giving her the run-around and it took several hours before she actually learned that Breonna had unfortunately died. She shared that when she arrived at Breonna’s apartment complex, she was told that she needed to head to the hospital, only to learn there was no record of Breonna arriving at the hospital.

She then returned to the apartment complex looking for answers and it took somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour before a detective even spoke to her. When she asked about Breonna’s whereabouts, she learned that her body had still been in the apartment and that she had not been taken to the hospital to help save her life.

Tamika further explained that she didn’t learn that officers were responsible for killing Breonna until she heard it on the news.

She said, “They never told me that when I was there. To leave there and still not know what happened was insane.”

Breonna’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, who was there during the fatal shooting, also shared that he did not know that Breonna passed away until he heard it on the news while he was in jail.

 

 

As previously reported, back in August, former Louisville detective Kelly Hanna Goodlett pled guilty to one count of conspiring to violate the civil rights of Breonna Taylor. She was accused of helping to falsify an affidavit for the search of Breonna’s apartment that unfortunately led to officers murdering her in March 2020.

The Department of Justice said, “First, Goodlett admitted that she knew that the affidavit in support of the warrant to search Taylor’s home was false, misleading, and stale.”

Brandy Reportedly Hospitalized After Suffering A Seizure In Her Home

Not our Vocal Bible! Fans and loved ones of Brandy Norwood are sending messages of well wishes her way after it was reported that the singer was hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report from TMZ, health officials responded to a call to Brandy’s Los Angeles home after some sort of medical emergency. While details surrounding the ‘Put It Down’ singer’s condition are scarce, sources close to the situation allege she suffered a seizure.

TMZ reports that Brandy is still in the hospital “and it appears she will recover.”

Shortly after the news broke, Brandy thanked her fans for their concern, citing dehydration and malnutrition as the source of her hospitalization.

To my beloved fam, friends and starz thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”

News of Brandy’s hospitalization comes on the heels of her brother Ray J raising concerns about his mental health. Fans of Ray shared their concerns after the ‘Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood’ star alluded to taking his own life in a post on Instagram.

Ray posted one video, where he is seemingly standing on a ledge, with a full moon in the background captioned:

If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight.”

Another clip showed Ray sitting on a ledge captioned, “SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit [sic]. Now!!!????”

Kid Cudi Gets Skateboarding Lessons From Tony Hawk: ‘I Feel Like A Big Kid’

Kid Cudi has learned how to skateboard, thanks to a few lessons he got from the legendary Tony Hawk.

The skateboarding icon took to Instagram to share a video compilation of some of Cudi’s first lessons and said the Moon Man reached out to him to ask for help.

“Kid Cudi hit me up recently about wanting to learn how to skate,” Hawk wrote. “I have now given him two lessons in as many weeks and it has been gratifying to see his commitment to the process. Rarely do beginning skaters take direction so well, or progress as quickly.”

He continued: “By the second ‘lesson’ he is turning, doing fakies, kickturns, fakie 180’s and starting to snap ollies. And he’s taken a couple heavy slams in the process! But we skaters know that makes getting up and conquering the challenge even more satisfying.”

Hawk went on to say it had been a “pleasure” and an “honor” getting to know Kid Cudi, and that he was “inspired” by his “talents in music and film.”

“I am thankful he has chosen skateboarding as a new passion, helping to raise awareness and appreciation for our culture to a bigger audience,” Hawk wrote. “His ‘pursuit of happiness’ now includes a wooden plank and four wheels. And he’ll be fine once he gets it.”

Cudi replied to Hawk’s post on Twitter, writing: “my guy!! Got the best coach!! Blessed.”

“The homie and coach, @tonyhawk hooked me up w a ramp builder,” Cudi announced in a another tweet. “First day of installation tomorrow. This is unreal. Always wanted to skate ramps. I feel like a big kid.”

The “Cudi Zone” rapper then posted two videos that showed his basketball court being torn apart by construction workers as his ramp was installed.

“It beginss. So long basketball court,” Kid Cudi wrote. “#ragerville.”

Skateboarding is just the latest new venture Kid Cudi has undertaken this year. He recently dropped off his new project Entergalactic on September 30, which serves as the soundtrack to the new Netflix animated series he created. He told Zane Lowe it very well could be the last Cudi album for a while because of how many other outlets he’s involved in.

“The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that,” he said. “I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi.”

Fugees’ Pras Gets New Trial Date In Criminal Conspiracy & Campaign Finance Case

Fugees rapper Pras will finally be going to trial after receiving a court date for his criminal conspiracy and campaign finance charges case.

The trial, which is set for March 27, 2023, will see Pras defend himself in a case alleging he was funneling money to political campaigns.

In 2019, the Fugees member was charged alongside Low Taek Taek Jho (aka Jho Low), a Malaysian national who is still at large, and the man that Pras is accused of laundering the money for and making false statements in connection to the case.

The charges against Pras include one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States government and making foreign and conduit campaign contributions, one count of concealing material facts, and two counts of making a false entry in a record in connection with the conspiracy.

Prosecutors also allege the rapper received approximately $100 million from Jho Low to influence American politics. He allegedly handed political committees illegal political contributions supporting the re-election of former President Barack Obama in 2012.

Pras is also accused of attempting to influence former President Donald J. Trump and his administration to end a civil and criminal investigation into Jho Low by the Department of Justice.

If that wasn’t enough, Pras is alleged to have attempted to influence the Trump administration on behalf of the Chinese government to remove a Chinese dissident from the United States and send him back home to China.

According to a report from Politico, actor Leonardo DiCaprio is among the list of potential witnesses set to testify in the case. Jho Low, a Hollywood personality known for lavish parties and dating model Miranda Kerr, has said he helped supply the money for DiCaprio’s 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street.

Jho Low is also wanted internationally in connection with his role in the 1MDB scandal, where billions of dollars were embezzled from the state-owned sovereign investment fund Low co-founded with Malaysia’s then–prime minister, Najib Razak.

Pras and Jho Low’s trial was set to begin next month, but a motion to continue was granted due to an attorney on the case suffering an unrelated injury.

The charges put a dampener on the Fugees’ planned reunion tour for The Score’s 25th anniversary. According to Rolling Stone, a report suggested the Grammy Award-winning MC’s legal troubles made it impossible for the tour to continue.

The legendary Hip Hop trio performed just one date in New York City last year before pulling the plug. Fugees had initially announced they were canceling the remaining 11 dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen,” they said at the time. “The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of The Score, but we see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work.”

It turns out the Justice Department wouldn’t let Pras go on the international tour, which included stops in London and Paris. Pras reportedly rejected a plea deal that would’ve required him to plead guilty to an obstruction of justice charge along with a 16-month prison sentence and financial retribution to Malaysia.

Brandy Hospitalized After Suffering Possible Seizure

Brandy has reportedly been hospitalized after experiencing a seizure.

Per TMZ, Brandy is reportedly recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after an EMS call was made to her home on Tuesday afternoon (October 11). Sources told the outlet it appears she’ll recover and that her parents are currently with her. It’s unclear at this time what led to the seizure.

Shortly after the outlet broke the story, Brandy issued a statement to her social media accounts, informing her fans that she is ok.

“To my beloved fam, friends and stars thank you for sending love and light my way,” she wrote. “I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon.”

The “Have You Ever” singer was brought out as a special guest by Jack Harlow during his BET Awards performance in June, where the pair performed his chart-topping smash “First Class.” The performance was noteworthy because Brandy and Jack Harlow had connected over social media following a May interview with Hot 97 where Harlow revealed he had no idea Brandy was Ray J’s sister.

Inmate In Georgia’s Maximum Security Prison Allegedly Swindled $11 Million, Purchased $4 Million Mansion By Impersonating Billionaire Movie Mogul

An inmate in Georgia’s maximum security prison is being accused of swindling $11 million – and purchasing a $4 million mansion in Atlanta – after impersonating a California billionaire in a story ripped right out of a Hollywood storyline.

Federal agents have been sifting through evidence for over two years to determine how 31-year-old inmate Arthur Lee Cofield Jr. assumed the identity of billionaire movie mogul Sidney Kimmel and stole $11 million from Kimmel’s Charles Schwab account, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Kimmel is the chairman and CEO of Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based company that’s produced  such films as “Hell or High Water,” “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Moneyball.”

Now, authorities are investigating whether Cofield, a gang member who’s serving 14 years for armed robbery, may have gotten away with stealing millions of dollars more from other billionaires.

“Cofield was a shrewd, intelligent individual who could con you out of millions,” said Jose Morales, the warden at the Special Management Unit when Cofield was there.

Cofield’s plot – which amounts to one of the biggest heists ever pulled off from inside an American prison – involves everything from private planes, gold coins, duffel bags packed with cash and a $4 million mansion in Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead district.

And he did so all behind bars at Georgia Department of Corrections’ Special Management Unit, a maximum security facility that houses the state’s most dangerous criminals.

Inmate Used Contraband Cell Phones To Convince Bank Customer Service Agents That He Was Kimmel

Federal authorities claim Cofield used contraband cell phones to convince customer service agents at Charles Schwab that he was Kimmel, while wiring $11 million to a company in Idaho for the purchase of 6,106 American Eagle one-ounce gold coins, the outlet reports.

Cofield then managed to arrange for a private plane to fly the gold coins to Atlanta, where $4.4 million was used to purchase the home in Buckhead.

He has since pleaded not guilty to new charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and money laundering. His 27-year-old daughter Eliayah Bennett and a 65-year-old named Eldridge Bennett have also pleaded not guilty to charges that they helped Cofield further the scheme outside of the prison walls, according to the Journal-Constitution.

The case was first uncovered by federal authorities in 2020, however little has been reported on it until recently, after new court filings obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed several significant details, with the outlet being the first to report that Kimmel was the victim, and that there may be other victims as well.

Authorities Have Evidence That Cofield Accessed Another Billionaire’s Account And Stole $2.25 Million

Although Cofield has only been charged with scamming Kimmel, federal authorities believe he likely he stole millions in a similar fashion from other billionaires as well, according to the outlet.

“Mr. Cofield has figured out a way to access accounts belonging to high net worth individuals, frankly billionaires, located across the country,” a federal prosecutor, Scott McAfee, said at a bond hearing in December 2020.

McAfee added that the government also has evidence that Cofield illegally accessed an account belonging to Nicole Wertheim, the wife of Florida billionaire Herbert Wertheim, stealing $2.25 million before exchanging those funds for gold coins as well.

The incident is one of many examples of the Department of Corrections’ failure to stop illegal activities behind prison walls.

Department of Corrections Officials Knew Cofield Had Access To Phones Long Before Federal Investigation

Department officials had known long before the investigation began that Cofield had access to contraband cell phone and was using them for criminal activities.

He even bragged to prison guards that he had “hundreds of phones” after it was discovered that he had a cell phone and charger hidden on his person.

Cofield was actually transferred from Georgia State Prison to the Special Management Unit following a warrant being issued for his arrest in Fulton County after he ordered a shooting in Atlanta from behind bars which left the victim paralyzed from the waist down.

He still faces charges including attempted murder in that case.

Boosie Badazz has made fans laugh with his unhinged takes on the culture, and he recently had N.O.R.E. do the same with a recent conversation about social media.

The Lousiana native stopped by Drink Champs as the latest guest on the popular podcast and had N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN in stitches with his hilarious take on social media. According to Boosie, apps such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and more are a great tool to make money, but it ruins everything else for people.

“Social media fucked up everything,” Boosie said. “It made more avenues for money, but it fucked up everything. Marriages, everything. At first, your bitch just used to see the n-ggas at work, you and that’s it and then come home. That’s all she had to look at. Now she got about 30,000 n-ggas to look at for when you don’t act right.

“And she hypnotized by all the other bitches, bitches getting shit on Instagram that she not getting. So all that time you done put in but no money, it fucked up everything. It fucked up you too. All you had to look at was your side bitches, your bitches at work your bitch at home when you come back. That’s all we had.”

Boosie continued to explain that men are just as messed up off social media as women are. And while he was explaining his opinion, N.O.R.E. and EFN were cackling up a storm in the background.

“A couple side bitches on the other side of town now you hypnotized. You look at your bitch, and you see a thousand bitches look better. They looking way better than your bitch you look over and tell the bitch like…it made us hoes bro. It made your bitch a hoe and it made a n-gga a hoe.”

The Drink Champs clip is on brand for Boosie’s hilarious antics. Most of his social media videos have fans laughing at whatever it is he’s doing, whether it’s interacting with bears or dissing a billionaire.

When he’s not offering comedic relief to fans, Boosie is showing off the work he’s put in for other people. During a recent interview with VladTV, Boosie claimed he put on a lot of street guys and no one in the rap game could compare.

“Ain’t nobody ever in rap history never raised more street n-ggas than me,” Boosie declared. “I’m talking ’bout no rapper in history raised more street n-ggas than me. I done been around rappers. Everybody come around rappers like, ‘N-gga, I love your music.’

Remy Ma and Papoose have been busy enjoying their 14 years of marriage, and in August revealed how they keep their love alive after all this time.
