Dee-1 sparked the ire of Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and Jim Jones after making comments about the musical output of his fellow Hip-Hop artists, and is now looking to smooth over their issues. Despite getting less than favorable replies from the aforementioned trio, Dee-1 says he hopes that the dustup could lead to an eventual conversation.
Dee-1 was a guest on Shade 45’s Sway In The Morning program around two weeks ago speaking on some of his recent moves both in music and in the activism space where he’s also put his energy toward. During that chat, the New Orleans rapper had harsh words for Ross, Mill, and Jones, urging them to use their massive fame and influence for positive change.

Dee-1’s words reached the ears of Ross, Mill, and Jones, with Rozay recording a series of videos addressing Dee-1 and explaining how he and Jones give back to their respective communities in ways that aren’t always highly publicized. Jones, in his eloquence, also shared his disdain for the criticism and essentially said that Dee should have reached out to him to discuss any particulars.

In a new interview via B High TV that aired over the weekend, Dee-1 realized he may have spoken from an uninformed space and hopes that a conversation can occur between the artists.
“Jim Jones, I love you; Meek Mill, I love you; Rick Ross, I love you,” Dee-1 says in the interview. “The world wants it to become something negative and unhealthy, but let’s make sure we use this as an opportunity to educate and to communicate.”
He continued, “And if that means we can be friends at the end of this, cool. If we can’t ever be friends, cool, all good. Just go be a better man of God and I’m a try to be the best man of God I can be, and it’s Gucci.”

Jeezy, who recently ended a nearly two-decade run with Def Jam, is moving into new roles after releasing a book and other massive life changes. Sitting down with Nia Long for a revealing chat in support of his new double album, the rapper born Jay Jenkins bares it all with the veteran actress, and the pair share jewels of their journey along the way.
On Tuesday (November 7), Jeezy released the highly-anticipated hour-long YouTube chat with Nia Long titled after his 13th studio album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget. Long, serving as the lead interviewer, gets Jeezy to open up about his childhood before getting into his rise as one of the most consistent rappers in the game. However, the questions weren’t one-sided as Sno also asked his series of questions of Long, with the pair sharing intimate details of their upbringing.
Of course, this discussion turned to the topic of Jeezy’s recent split with Jeannie Mai, and while he never says anything negative about Mai, he makes it clear that he tried to save their union. This, in turn, inspired Long to open up about her past relationship with current Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and the explosive scandal that occurred when he coached the Boston Celtics.
After remaining poised and professional, Long appeared to be emotional when speaking about her former relationship and raising the former couple’s son. However, whatever work that Nia Long and Jeezy have done in therapy is apparently paying dividends.
In our opinion, it’s one of the best things you’ll watch today if you’re into seeing a Black man and a Black woman get honest about their struggles with one another. There are still some online that aren’t buying some of the points raised in the conversation, but mostly many of the comments online have remained positive.

Jordan Poole is currently a member of the Washington Wizards and attempting to add his offensive firepower to the young NBA squad. Earlier this year while still a Golden State Warriors member, Poole was dogged by rumors he spent half a million on a date with Ice Spice but told a fan in Washington that the rumors were not true.
Last May, MediaTakeOut published an article alleging that Jordan Poole, 24, took Ice Spice on a whirlwind shopping spree that included him copping a Maybach truck for the popular rapper. The outlet claimed that sources close to Spice say that Poole dropped $500,000 on their first date which included stops at the Gucci and Louis Vuitton stores among other high-end establishments.

This past weekend, Poole was at a fan meet-and-greet event in Washington, D.C. when a fan inquired about the rumored date with the “Munch” star. According to Poole, he says that the rumor was “definitely not true” as he laughed at the young fan’s question while signing autographs next to the Wizards 2022 NBA Draft pick, Johnny Davis.

Joe Budden currently occupies one of the top positions in the entertainment podcast space, using his platform to express his typically strong viewpoints. The self-proclaimed “Podfather” says that folks are putting way too much sauce on persisting rumors that the media mogul was beaten inside a strip club and plans to address the issue this week.
Joe Budden, 43, is the host of the wildly popular The Joe Budden Podcast, which covers breaking news, music, and wider entertainment issues twice weekly via his eponymously named network along with an exclusive Patreon page. Recently, Budden addressed the recent woes of DJ Envy and Cesar Pina, both of whom are accused of running a real estate fraud scheme.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Budden’s name began trending and users of the platform connected the incident to Pina’s brother, Luchie Rentals, who confronted Budden recently while the broadcaster was out at dinner with another person. Not known for sharing his location publicly online, Budden often mentions his penchant for visiting strip clubs in the New York region.
While it isn’t known if the recently reported dustup is connected to Budden’s comments, he did confirm that he was sucker punched by an individual inside Dreams nightclub in New York during an Instagram Live session with QueenzFlip which can be viewed below via QueenzFlip’s Quiet Room network.

Budden says that he will address the altercation on a Monday (November 6) episode of The Joe Budden Podcast via Patreon. He went on to tell Flip that the individual got one punch in and they began to fight but said that a wet floor hindered his efforts. From the looks of the video, Budden looks unscathed and unbothered.

Ms. Lauryn Hill and the tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut solo album is one of the hottest tour tickets in the world. However, the rapper and vocalist is growing tired of complaints about her lateness when it comes to performing and addressed the crowd during a recent tour stop.
Ms. Lauryn Hill stopped in Los Angeles, Calif. this past weekend and arrived on the stage later than the scheduled time. While there, Hill, perhaps sensing the complaints that were possibly on some minds of the patrons in attendance, spoke to the issue directly. The speech can be seen in full as posted by VIBE R&B reporter Mya Abraham.

As it stands, Hill is aware of the complaints, something she once mentioned on the track “Nobody from” Nas’ King’s Disease II album in 2021.
Hill doesn’t dive too deeply into why she arrives on the stage at the staggered times that she does, but it appears that she isn’t exactly lacking understanding. What it does illustrate is that she hopes to gain some empathy from her fans instead of the constant complaints.
Joining Hill on the tour are her Fugees bandmates Wyclef Jean and Praz Michel, doing new renditions of their past hits from the two albums the trio recorded in the 1990s.
On X, formerly Twitter, fans are reacting to the footage that was released, along with their thoughts about the speech. Check out those replies below.

DJ Akademiks is back in another public beef, this time with Saucy Santana, and the back-and-forth between the two has gotten a little toxic. Saucy Santana said something that seemingly got to DJ Akademiks, who appeared to hold back tears explaining that he was bothered by the beef.
As we explained in a story yesterday, DJ Akademiks attracted the ire of Saucy Santana after he blasted the City Girls’ latest album RAW during a stream. Santana, who is close to the group, more specifically group member Yung Miami, used a slur to describe how Ak seems to only go after women.
Both men exchanged slurs and insults with Ak inviting Santana to his headquarters to discuss things. Santana, using X, formerly Twitter, shot down the invitation and reportedly posted a video saying he would physically violate Ak.
In a new Rumble (or Twitch?) stream, Ak can be seen discussing Santana’s threat of assault and begins to say how much the jabs bothered him. As he’s speaking, Ak’s voice cracks and he can be seen choking back tears.
Ak begins by saying he doesn’t want to respond to Santana in a way that will get his popular stream canceled. Some viewers online are noting that Ak appears to be emotional because he can’t be homophobic in retaliation, while others believe it’s a matter of insecurity.
Either way, folks on X are sharing their opinions and thoughts about this explosive beef. We’ve got reactions from all sides below. We’ve also got the video in question below. Do be warned that there is explicit language in the clip so mind your surroundings.

DJ Akademiks is embroiled in a war of words with Saucy Santana that took a turn after the pair began slinging homophobic slurs towards each other. The beef stems from DJ Akademiks throwing shots at City Girls, and group member Yung Miami is a close friend of Saucy Santana.
It appears that the issue was sparked over the weekend after DJ Akademiks took to his Twitch stream to review the new City Girls album, RAW (an acronym for Real Ass Whores). Ak was no fan of the album, despite it landing on the Billboard 200 charts, and delivered his critique in a brash fashion as he’s known to do.

Catching wind of Ak’s review, Saucy Santana called the streamer the “f-word” slur over him attacking Yung Miami, the City Girls, and GloRilla, harping on the fact that Ak had a lot of smoke for women rappers.
Akademiks went on a signature rant during a Twitch stream and flung a number of homophobic slurs, including using a term that comes from Jamaican patois among other choice terms. Ak then invited Santana to his streaming headquarters for the pair to have it out, which Santana took as an invitation to throw hands.
GloRilla also got into the mix via X, formerly known as Twitter, sharing a reply that Santana requoted that some took as a shot at Ak before actually addressing the media figure by name.

We’re almost certain that this won’t be the last of this back-and-forth between DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana.

Flavor Flav is known as the longstanding hype man as part of the legendary Hip-Hop collective Public Enemy, but he’s also an accomplished musician. Flavor Flav showed another side of his musical talents by singing the National Anthem ahead of an NBA game over the weekend that had X sharing thoughts.
Flavor Flav was invited to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks contest on Sunday (October 29), decked out in a Bucks jersey with the number 59 to note the year he was born.
How Flav did is a matter of personal opinion as some online found his performance to be emotional and spirited, while others compared the showing to the infamous Fergie and Carl Lewis National Anthem moments.
Flavor Flav, realizing that folks would have something to say, issued his own statement via X.
“The anthem was a long time bucket list item, that was fun!” Flav began in his reply on X.
He added, “I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”
Salute to that.
As it stands, the Bucks lost against the Hawks at a score of 127-110 with new Bucks superstar Dame Lillard not having his best showing. The season is still young so the team is still working out the kinks.

Joe Smith is a name some basketball fans should remember, considering he was the top overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft. The former University of Maryland star found himself trending on social media this morning after a video surfaced of him having an argument with his wife after discovering she has an OnlyFans page.
By way of TikTok user @kevinwesleygenie, a video featuring Joe Smith and his wife Kisha Chavis having a spirited discussion about her launching an OnlyFans page. Some might remember Chavis from the reality series Say Yes To The Dress where she went by the name Kisha “Kiss” Chavis.
Online sleuths also reminded the world that Ms. Chavis used to be a former adult film actress under the name Yasmine Pendavis. From what we were able to gather online, the OnlyFans account is under the name Kyss Major, a name she also used during her music career.
In a social media world where clout chasing seemingly is a goal for many, we’re not sure if this is another elaborate skit meant to drum up another war between the genders or a real concern. And let’s say it’s the latter, online onlookers having this much access to the Smiths’ marital woes and then commenting on it seems like a lot. Before you say it, we’re reporting on this matter because we have a job to inform the public and nothing more.
Back to the matter at hand, if this is a skit, Smith is a really great actor and has a career in entertainment if coaching basketball is no longer his passion because the brother appeared to be quite upset. Chavis was unapologetic, telling her husband at one point that, quote, “you know who I was” prior to their marriage.
As it stands, it seems like the hard times that Joe Smith fell on after losing his combined $61 million in NBA earnings sparked Kisha Chavis to take matters into her own hands and get some easy cash. To shoot her some bail, Chavis says she’s only shooting solo content and isn’t doing anything too outlandish. Good luck on that one.

Dwight Howard is in the middle of an ongoing lawsuit alleging that he sexually assaulted a man over the summer and orchestrated an unwelcomed threesome, and now he’s speaking out. After Mase discussed the matter on his podcast with co-host Cam’Ron, Dwight Howard has choice words in response.
Earlier this week on the It Is What It Is talk show with Cam’Ron and Mase, the Harlem rapper and broadcaster mentioned Howard’s situation involving a man named Stephen Harper bringing a lawsuit against him. In Harper’s lawsuit, he alleges that Howard invited him to his home for a physical encounter but was blindsided by a transperson by the name of Kitty which Harper didn’t initially agree with.

Mase, as it usually happens on It Is What It Is, had their unique take on the situation with the host noting that if the act was indeed consensual, nothing about bringing in another person without their knowledge would come off as consent.
Check out Mase’s side of things in the video below from It Is What It Is. Start at the 43:00-minute mark for the comments referenced above.
