DJ Akademiks is one of the most notable figures in the streaming space and his popularity has pushed him to an audience of younger viewers who engage with his content. However, DJ Akademiks is facing serious allegations of attempting to groom a teenage boy after asking him an inappropriate sexual question while later offering up an apology some feel came up short.
DJ Akademiks, 35, was in a livestream event with PlaqueBoyMax and the streamer’s moderator, NourGxd, who is 15. Ak, real name Livingston Allen, can be heard asking NourGxd if he would engage in sexual activities with Max. NourGxd shot down the advance by citing his age, causing Ak to double down and ask the teen if he would have sex with Max’s sister, who reportedly is over the age of 18.
Max seemed to join in on the fun and threatened to cut the teen from the streaming feed before Ak kept dreaming up odd scenarios including asking, quote, “You don’t know another 15-year-old you can bust down?” among other quips. NourGxd, seemingly uncomfortable at this point, expressed repeatedly that he’s not gay nor interested in doing what was suggested. Another streamer then asks NourGxd for his address to send strippers to his home.
The stream, which took place last Thursday (Jan. 23), went viral and has ignited a strong rallying cry accusing DJ Akademiks of grooming the teen and highlighting his defense of Drake, who has previously been slapped with similar allegations involving minors although those claims remain unfounded.
Ak has acknowledged his comments to NourGxd but most have taken note that the acknowledgment and the misplaced bravado attached to it nullifies any good intentions DJ Akademiks may have had. Reactions, including comments from rival Freddie Gibbs, Nitty Scott MC, and Meek Mill to the livestream going viral and Ak’s weak walk back can be viewed below.
We will share the video featuring Ak’s comments but do warn that the content might be triggering for some so proceed cautiously.

A Georgia high school basketball player is the target of an investigation after the teen was seen on video socking out two rival players with violent punches. The teen alleges that one of his opponents called him a racial slur, resulting in the hand of god haymakers.
As seen on TMZ, the incident took place on Jan. 3 in the city of Calhoun, Ga., some 70 miles northwest of Atlanta’s city center. A Rockmart High basketball player was viewed unleashing heavy blows on two Sonoraville High players during the evening contest.
A player for Rockmart High is seen via smartphone video footage shoving a Sonoraville High to the ground. As the player rose from the floor, the teen landed a straight right that floored his opponent. A Sonoraville High teammate is seen rushing into the shot and catches a straight right hand as he rushes in with his hands down.
Bystanders then cleared the stands and other players along with coaches intervened before separating the boys just as an all-out melee nearly sparked off. The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating the matter. The teen who doled out the punches claimed that one of the opponents kept using the “n-word” slur.
The Rockmart High player, who is 16, faces two charges of simple battery but neither schools nor the students involved have made any public statements. The use of the slur has yet to be confirmed as well.
The video, which we must warn is violent and might be triggering to some, can be viewed below. We urge caution before viewing the footage.

Sexyy Red is having a rather interesting 2025 so far, after clashing with the family of Martin Luther King Jr. over a poorly advised image use that she’s since apologized for. Sexyy Red is back to pushing the music once more and enlisted Bruno Mars for “Fat, Juicy & Wet” which has some fans wondering if the singer is in debt.
Sexyy Red’s brand of music is, in a word, southern-tinged “p*ssy rap” delivered in a raw, unapologetic fashion. So it begs the question of why a pop star of Bruno Mars’ magnitude would sign up to croon the words we’re sharing below.
The track opens with Mars singing the words, “Fat, juicy, and wet (Ah-ah)/I don’t even gangbang, p*ssy so good/Make me throw up a set (Ah-ah), uh/That good kitty-kitty, good kitty-kitty/Make it my pet (Ah-ah, ah-ah)/Pretty p*ssy type of pussy/You ain’t ever gon’ forget (Ah-ah)/Fat, juicy, and wet (Wet), wet (Wet), wet (Wet), wet (Wet).”
We’re not stating Mars is a saint or hasn’t cursed on a record before but to hear those words sung with such passion is almost comical. Then there is the business of the St. Louis rapper’s lyrics.
From Sexyy Red’s “Fat, Juicy & Wet”:
P*ssy like weed, p*ssy like dope
P*ssy like cocaine, put it up your nose
Ayy, slob on my cl*t, suck on my toes
Twenty-four karat, p*ssy drip like gold (Ooh)
Throw my legs back, eat my booty from the front (Mm)
Milk mustache on your face when I c*m (Yeah)
Hit it from the bottom, hit it from the top (Yeah)
Pop go the p*ssy ’cause the p*ssy say, “Pop”
Okay, then.
Produced by Bruno Mars and The Stereotypes, the track should get some requisite burn inside your classic shaky buns establishments but we’re not sure if this is going to chart beyond the strip club.
On X, folks are wondering why Bruno Mars joined Sexyy Red on “Fat, Juicy & Wet” in hilarious fashion. We’ve got those reactions below.

Mike Jenkins, a real estate developer who reformed his life after spending time in federal prison, was racially profiled in an affluent Ohio neighborhood by Michelle Bishop, a white mother of two. After Michelle Bishop received backlash, she tearfully apologized to Mike Jenkins, claiming she was more worried about the safety of her children and didn’t recognize that Jenkins was Black.
As seen on Yahoo! News, DaMichael “Mike” Jenkins was attempting to return home last November when he encountered Michelle Bishop walking with her two small children. The situation was caught on Jenkins’ Ring camera where Bishop can be heard talking to Jenkins as he pulled up in his driveway. Believing she was being followed, Bishop went up to Jenkins’ doorstep and said she didn’t believe the developer lived at the home.
After Jenkins asked if she was looking for someone in particular, she can be heard running off and screaming despite it appearing Jenkins made no aggressive moves toward her. Jenkins’ wife came out of the home and tried to make sense of it. Jenkins’ wife seemingly diffused the situation and said she was afraid because Jenkins never said he owned the home whose driveway he parked in and he claimed that he did when she was trying to knock on his door.
Bishop has since taken to social media to apologize for assuming the worst of Jenkins and claims she isn’t racist. She also said that her apologies haven’t been accepted among other talking points. With the Ring video making viral rounds, Jenkins was recently a guest on Shannon Sharpe and Chand Ochocinco’s Nightcap podcast along with his wife to discuss the harrowing incident.
To his credit, Mike Jenkins remained calm throughout the entire fracas and wants to use this moment to help inspire others and not cower in the face of judgment. He also mentioned that his long climb to success after serving prison time and his unyielding faith got him past this hurdle.

Wendy Williams is a pioneer in the world of terrestrial radio and daytime talk shows and became infamous for her no-holds-barred approach to reporting on celebrity happenings and the like. Having stepped away from broadcasting due to reported health issues, Wendy Williams broke her silence and joined the cast of The Breakfast Club morning show to discuss her health issues, the widely reported conservatorship, Diddy’s legal woes, and more.
Wendy Williams joined The Breakfast Club by phone accompanied by her niece, journalist Alex Finnie. Williams’ former mentee, Charlamagne, opened up the chat by explaining to an audience what a conservatorship and some readers might recall singer Britney Spears was once under a similar guardianship.
Williams, sounding just as vibrant as her radio days, shared with the hosts that she is not cognitively impaired as many outlets have reported and likened the conservatorship to being in prison. Speaking from an undisclosed facility, Williams was quick-witted and humorous, highlighting that she shouldn’t be housed with individuals who are suffering from deeper mental and physical disabilities than she is.
Finnie jumped in for Williams and explained that where her aunt is being held was, “essentially a luxury prison” and confined to a small space where she isn’t allowed to interact with the outside world. That said, for all the reports of Williams’ cognitive decline, she sounded very much like the host of old and denies that she’s in as dire a place as has been widely shared in the media.
Naturally, Williams kept up with what was going on outside of the facility and had some choice words about Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“Diddy will go to prison for life, people. You don’t know the things that I know about Diddy back in the day. You know what? It’s about time, people. It is about time. Diddy done,” Williams said.
There is a GoFundMe effort for Wendy Williams aimed at her having the conservatorship lifted and retiring to Florida to be next to her family. Click here for more information.

Lord Jamar achieved worldwide fame as a member of the legendary Hip-Hop group Brand Nubian and made a star turn as an actor on HBO’s Oz series. However, these days Lord Jamar is more known for his polarizing views about Black Americans, Vice President Kamala Harris, and his love of the flat earth theory, causing some online to ridicule the veteran rapper.
Last October, Lord Jamar was a guest on comedian Godfrey Danchimah’s In Godfrey We Trust podcast and discussed the election at the time along with other national happenings over the course of the episode. Alongside comedian Dante Nero, the show bumped up against the flat earth discussion, and a now-viral moment of Jamar challenging decades of science and proven facts is making new rounds thanks to a YouTuber giving his own take.
Jump to the 4:00-minute mark for the earlier video for context.
We’re not too keen on platforming a white content creator dunking on a Black Hip-Hop legend, but facts are facts and Professor Dave took a few months to debate Lord Jamar in a video he posted over the weekend with Godfrey, Nero, and Jamar. As you can see below. the debate got intense with Professor Dave using this as a moment to get a little virality going for himself. Godfrey removed the episode but Professor Dave, who admits he had him a banger, recorded the Zoom call and shared it with his audience.
Sharing a video from Dave Farina of Professor Dave Explains for context.
Others online, such as broadcaster Rakeem Shabazz, have blasted Jamar for his unfounded statements and desire to debate others far more knowledgeable than he is on the subject. Further, some are wondering why Jamar is embracing the talking points of the so-called Foundational Black American (FBA) movement spearheaded by Tariq Nasheed and others.
We’ve got reactions to the thoughts of flat earth truther Lord Jamar from X listed below.

Ferg, formerly known as A$AP Ferg, emerged and rose to stardom as a member of the sprawling A$AP Mob collective that boasted well over a dozen members at its heights. Largely inactive for a few years, Ferg shared an update about A$AP Mob in a new interview with veteran journalist, Touré.
Ferg sat down for an interview with the Touré Show and shared his views of where the A$AP Mob exists today, his hand in creating the collective, and where his career is heading now that he’s largely on his own.
“I don’t think there is A$AP [Mob] anymore,” Ferg began, answering Touré’s inquiry on the status of the collective. “It’s not a Cozy Tape out, not a new one, there’s not a office, it’s not a record label, A$AP Worldwide is not a record label. I think it’s a thing of the past.”
He continued, “I think people hold on to the legacy that we created and those things but when you think about A$AP, I think, from the music point, you think about me and Rocky who did the music and all of that. Of course, it was built on the back of Bari and Yams and all of that but we’re the faces. So I feel like if we not making no music, and not putting out no new timestamps, then there’s no A$AP.”
Ferg continued by saying that he’s solely focused on his own movement but doesn’t have any issues with A$AP Rocky or any past members of the crew, and instead is focusing on his musical direction and his latest album, Darold.
The A$AP Mob’s last release, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy, was released in 2017 on Polo Grounds/RCA and later was certified Gold by the RIAA.

Aldis Hodge is emerging as one of entertainment’s top leading men and many are pointing to the success of his new show Cross as adding a big boost to his standing. At a recent Consumer Electronics Show event, Aldis Hodge and Lauren Anderson, head of content and brand innovation at Amazon MGM Studios, discussed the finer points of Cross, getting the authentic Washington, D.C. slang right, and more.
As reported by Deadline, Aldis Hodge and Lauren Anderson sat down and discussed how a producer for Cross “stamped” the show for sticking to the DMV area’s proper use of casual honorifics and how it gave weight to the show not only with area residents but the wider audience as well.
From Deadline:
When scripts for the Washington-set show underwent a “D.C. pass,” Hodge recalled, a producer hailing from the city insisted on a character calling another one “Slim,” as opposed to “son” or “dog,” as they might in other cities. “That one word generated, I would say, millions of viewership value,” Hodge said. “So many people commented and said, ‘The moment I heard “Slim” I was in.’”
Anderson said specific details can give a production “universality,” enabling it to be enjoyed by wider audiences. Hodge said Washington in particular gets reduced on screen to simple cutaways of the U.S. Capitol building or politcos walking down hallways. “We only see a political idea. Not a political truth, but just an idea. … That’s just one sector of what Washington, D.C. is.”
Fans of Cross have probably noted that the show has cut scenes of the Nation’s Capital and features an eatery that has played host to many celebrities, including President Barack Obama, over the years in Ben’s Chili Bowl.
Cross debuted last November and has been renewed for a second season.
