As spotted on Hype Beast the spirits brand aims to build on its legacy. Earlier this week they announced a new campaigned titled “Made For More” which is a lighter and brighter reintroduction to the Madison. To bring the narrative to life they tapped into model and musician Teyana Taylor and British Nigerian actor Damson Idris. The project features five off-beat mixing films which are accompanied by five signature cocktail recipes.

Teyana Taylor expressed her enthusiasm about the campaign saying “One time, for the love of all things anew, and we all love new things. With that being said, I’m super excited to embark upon this journey with my favorite Cognac, Hennessy. Destination: fresh, bright, and invigorating, like any good cocktail should be.” For Damson the partnership means more than just cocktails. “When I think of Hennessy I think of my three older brothers, I think of amazing memories. The visuals are stylish, the films are fun, it’s magic. It’s cinema” he said.
The Hennessy campaign will be brought to life via dedicated spaces at music festivals throughout the season. You can read more about “Made For More” and the cocktails here.

Teyana Taylor has had enough of TMZ being in her business.
The extremely talented multi-hyphenate took to Instagram to call out the celebrity gossip site following a recent report on her pending divorce from former NBA hooper Iman Shumpert, accusing them of dropping salacious headlines about the situation.
In a post on her IG Stories, Taylor wrote, “Yo @tmz, are you serious???? Y’all really be taking it too far with these d*mn misleading headlines and I’m tired of it! Every time I turn around it’s either half leaked and made up stories, or words being twisted up for clickbait!!!! I kindly ask you mothaf%ckas to mind ya damn business, and for y’all to respect me and my family’s privacy.”
Teyana Taylor’s clapback is seemingly in response to a report that her ex-husband was “playing dirty in their divorce war…slowly shutting down all the utilities in the home where she lives with their 2 children.”
The world found out the couple, whom many thought were “relationship goals,” were on the outs after Shumpert counter-filed using their real names. Taylor initially filed for divorce in 2023, just using their initials to keep the situation private.
Teyana Taylor Has Been Winning Despite The Alleged Divorce Shenanigans
This latest news comes on the heels of a great week of good news for Teyana Taylor. She was nominated for a NAACP Image Award for her performance in the film “A Thousand and One.”
She also announced that she and her The Aunties Production company have gotten the green light on the Dionne Warwick biopic that she will be starring in the lead role.
“Thank you for trusting me, @coco_gilbert And our production company @theauntiesinc with telling your iconic story! We are so excited to make you proud!” Taylor wrote in the post.

More dirty laundry is being aired out in the divorce proceedings between Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert. She claims he would forget to feed the kids and used to be high around them.
People Magazine is reporting that the legal battle between the ex celebrity couple continues to get more intense. This week lawyers representing the femme fatal responded to the former National Basketball League player’s original filing. In the filing she claims Iman was very messy; to the detriment of their two kids saying he “consistently fails to properly care for the minor children”. Additionally, she alleges him of “failing to feed them despite being in the [marital residence] with the minor children” and “smoking marijuana and being under the influence while caring for the minor children.”
Even more damning is an incident where Teyana says Iman placed the kids in a taxi that took them to the United Center in Chicago and left them in general population while he was being chauffeured by a private driver. “Respondent consistently demonstrates a clear disregard for the safety of the minor children,” the filing adds.
The couple originally decided to part ways back in January 2023 but chose to finally reveal their status that September. Rumors of cheating quickly arose but she clarified that the decision was mutual. “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Iman Shumpert has yet to publicly speak on the matter.

It seems Iman Shumpert did not stick to the script with regards to his divorce. Reports say Teyana Taylor is not happy he made it public.
According to TMZ the Harlem, New York native had intended to keep their legal separation as private as possible. But according to the celebrity gossip site the former National Basketball League star chose to declare their status which was the opposite of what Taylor had in mind. In January she aimed to keep their initial divorce proceedings secret; so much so she even signed the documents with just her initials to avoid the media picking up the story. While the K.T.S.E. performer has yet to comment on the matter her lawyer Tanya Mitchell makes it clear Shumpert exposed their situation.
“We were able to keep this divorce matter private as Ms. Taylor requested for eleven (11) months in this case prior to Mr. Shumpert’s MOTION revealing the parties’ legal names and making the private matter public” she wrote in a recent filing. “This matter would very likely still be private if Mr. Shumpert’s MOTION TO SUBSTITUTE TRUE LEGAL NAMES AS REAL PARTIES IN INTEREST was not filed …” she added.
Last week more details behind their split were uncovered with Teyana accusing Iman of some very toxic behavior including being jealous of her career. To the point she “began to intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage” as he “became more and more angry” about her celebrity. She also claims she stuck with him through all the ups and downs but he still “reacted with further cruel treatment and selfishness.”
The estranged couple were married in 2016 and have two children together. Teyana is seeking primary custody along with child support.

Taylor’s debut collaboration with Jordan Brand represents her “journey as a rose navigating through the concrete” and celebrates “anyone who’s overcome a struggle.” Taylor gifted stars such as Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and Erykah Badu with pairs of the sneakers last month.
The Harlem native stars in the photo campaign for her Jordan collab alongside her mother, grandmother and eldest daughter, Junie. “The evolution of a rose 🌹 From a Bud … to a Bouquet,” Taylor wrote on Instagram on Wednesday before explaining that her youngest daughter, Rue, was asleep during the shoot. “I present my Nana, My Mama, and My Seed. (Rue was knocked … but we can say she was planted).”
The Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem” sneaker sold out and fans are not happy with “bots” apparently flooding the app. “It sucks your actual fans had to compete against bots,” one follower wrote in Taylor’s Instagram comments. “I placed my order at exactly 9 am and still didn’t get them. I’m so hurt.”

A few months ago, Teyana Taylor debuted her first collaboration with Jordan Brand when she unveiled her vision of the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom, and now we’re getting a look at an entire collection that will accompany the aforementioned pair of sneakers.
Hypebeast is reporting that along with the standout pair of Air Jordan 1’s that Teyana Taylor remixed to her liking, a capsule collection will be releasing along with the 1’s that will consist of some tees, sweats, and even a spiffy varsity jacket that’s sure to standout amongst a crowd.

Taylor’s latest clothing capsule with the Jumpman is designed to accompany the launch of her Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 team-up. And like the kicks, the products lean into a “Rose In Harlem” motif to reference track 6 off of her sophomore album K.T.S.E. Highlights of the range include a cropped, red wool varsity jacket that’s adorned with rose patches on the left chest and “23” patches on the left sleeve as well as a black and brown coverall.
Other top include graphic tees that are also branded with Taylor’s rose logo as well as a mesh, long sleeved top. Rounding out the assemblage are cozy, gray sweatpants, a ribbed cropped tank and a beanie.

No word on an exact release date for the kicks and capsule collection, but word has it that they’ll be dropping sooner than later as they’re expected to hit the shelves sometime within the next few weeks.

Sure, the Met Gala offers a multi-course meal for its celebrity guests, but Teyana Taylor opted for a different dinner option.
The “Bare Wit Me” singer dined on some Chick-fil-A chicken tenders and waffle fries that she brought to the event on Monday (May 1), and the whole situation was hilariously documented by Pusha T on his Instagram Stories.
“@teyanataylor is embarrassing me. She brought @chicfilausa to the #MetGala. I want her away from me…#HARLEM,” the rapper captioned a photo of Taylor’s full plate, with the official Met Gala menu offering dishes like salmon and pea soup seen underneath.

Taylor served one of the top looks of the night at this year’s Met Gala, which was themed “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” She rocked a black-and-white Thom Browne tweed backless jacket with cutouts at the hips and built-in gloves. “We’re already working on it,” Taylor told Tamron Hall in a clip from their interview shared exclusively with Billboard. “We’re in the building process right now. I always wanted to make sure I could lock in with any person that I would be playing.”
Taylor went on to note that she was inspired by Angela Bassett’s portrayal of Tina Turner in 1993’s What’s Love Got to Do With It and Jamie Foxx’s capturing of Ray Charles in 2004’s Ray. “I miss when movies were like that, when you got to really get to know them and tap in,” she added.
Hall shared that given her passion to get to know Warwick, she’ll soon be eating at the “That’s What Friends Are For” star’s favorite Italian restaurant in New Jersey. “We talk almost every day,” Taylor replied excitedly. “That’s my girl.”
Taylor concluded, “I’ve always been a firm believer and stood on safety. She’s had a wonderful career, and I think right now is about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story because a lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent. That’s not really where we want to go.”
