The PS5 Pro has finally arrived, so the question on your mind is, should I swipe the card and get one? Before you make that decision, see what some folks who had the opportunity to give it a spin had to say before you hit the purchase button.
The base PS5 model still has plenty of life, but that’s not stopping Sony from launching a mid-generation console refresh with the PS5 Pro.
When word of the console first hit, the immediate question was, do we need this $700 machine? Who is this for? We all know it’s definitely for a niche group of gamers who prioritize performance and graphics and want the best of both worlds without building an expensive gaming rig.
Based on the specs, the PS5 Pro is an impressive piece of hardware. Under the hood is an AMD Ryzen Zen 2 8-core/16-thread processor with an RDNA-based graphics engine, producing 16.7TF of GPU compute performance compared to the base PS5’s 10.23TF.
There is also 16GB of GDDR6 memory and 2GB of slower DDR5 memory that handles other console tasks not related to gaming, plus a 2TB custom SSD.
Ahead of the console launch, PlayStation confirmed there will be 55 games with PS5 Pro Enhancements, so it’s not entering the chat without titles to show off its power.
So, with all that said, what are the critics saying about the PS5 Pro? Reviews, for the most part, seem mixed, with many saying it’s too early to tell if this console is a flop.
2025 Will Be The Real Test For The PS5 Pro
In his review for Polygon, Cameron Faulkner touched on his experience with the PS5 Pro’s enhanced titles, writing, “I didn’t try each of the 50 games that have gotten a PS5 Pro patch. But what I did try delivered a mixed bag of improvements that I’m not sure I’d be totally happy with if I spent $699.99 on launch day.”
He continued, “That said, there will be many games in 2025 that put the PS5 Pro’s more powerful specs to the test.”
It’s Impressive, But The Price Point Is Eyewatering
IGN gave the PS5 Pro a 7 (Good), and in his review, Michael Higham wrote, “The PlayStation 5 Pro is an impressive console with noticeable boosts in performance and graphics for games that take advantage of its powerful hardware. But for $700, you’ll need to think twice about whether or not the upgrade is worth the price tag.”
Powerful, But Not Essential
Rory Mellon for Tom’s Guide wrote, “The PS5 Pro is set to be where I play the vast majority of new releases for the rest of this console generation thanks to its unrivaled play experience. If you’re also the type of player who wants the best visuals and performance regardless of the cost, then I’d have no qualms about recommending the PS5 Pro. But more budget-conscious console players shouldn’t feel despondent about being stuck with a technically inferior machine. The PS5 Pro is a powerful upgrade to an already excellent console, but it’s not an essential buy at this price.”
The PS5 Pro Is A Niche Product For Now
Tim Gettys from Kinda Funny said about his experience with the PS5 Pro, “The PS5 Pro is the perfect example of a console that fits right at home with an LG OLED, and a home theater receiver, and all of the things on the box. If you care about those things this is for you. $700 is a lot, but it’s not a lot compared to other things in that realm.”
Gettys continued, “I think it’s a niche product for now, but I think it will become a mainstream product very soon.”
So, the consensus is that if you have a base PS5, you are good and don’t need to rush to get a PS5 Pro. While it is a significant boost in performance, waiting until games fully take advantage of the new hardware is a safe bet.

He did it. Orange Mussolini, aka Donald Trump, is going back to the White House, and MSNBC Joy Reid thinks he should be thanking white women for his comeback.
In the early morning of MSNBC’s 2024 election coverage, Joy Reid pointed out the obvious, “white women voters did not” show up for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Reid’s comments came as the state of North Carolina was projected to vote for Donald Trump. She told her colleagues, “We have to be blunt about why.”
“Black voters came through for Kamala Harris,” Reid said. “White women voters did not.”
She continued, “It’s a state where women lost their reproductive rights, where there was a very heavy push to get women to focus on not … putting back into the White House the person who was responsible for taking those rights away. And restoring them. But that message obviously was not enough to get enough white women to vote for Vice President Harris, a fellow woman.”
The longtime MSNBC anchor was referring to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 defeat at the hands of Donald Trump. She made sure to remind folks white women have been consistent in their failure to be on the right side of history, saying, “this will be the second opportunity that white women in this country have to change the way that they interact with the patriarchy.”
Where’s the lie?
“But if people aren’t receptive to it and if people vote more, you know, party line or more on race than on gender, and on protecting their gender, there’s really not much more that you can do but tell people what the risks are and leave it to them to do the right thing,” she ended her statement.
Social Media Agrees With Joy Reid
Once Donald Trump secured the 270 electoral college votes he needed and the breakdown of how the voting went, social media also felt the same way as Reid as the numbers show that white women and men and Latinos helped the twice impeached politician return to the Oval Office.
“As per usual white women vote for Trump while Black women remain the backbone of ethics and justice for this country,” one user on X, formally Twitter, wrote.
Another user wrote, “white women for Harris” the whole time they took their Stanley cups to vote for Trump.”
Deep negro spiritual sigh.
Well, we applaud Kamala Harris for putting herself out there and wanting to fight to keep Trump from winning a second term and enacting his evil Project 2025 agenda.

The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined” is one of the more popular silhouettes of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker is coming back to Fortnite.
As part of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, Epic Games is introducing Fortnite Kicks, allowing players to lace the characters they choose to play with the freshest footwear.
KICKS, a new cosmetic feature, will offer players a virtual footwear collection and kick things off with the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined” and a pair of shark slippers.

Fortnite also says players can expect kicks from other brands, not just Nike and Jordan, and the virtual footwear is compatible with over 500 of the most popular Fortnite drip and over 95% of the in-game outfits by the spring.
Beginning November 12, players can unlock a pair of the “Black Toe Reimagined” through the game’s Remix Pass.
In the real world, the “Black Toes” were released in 1985 and became instant hits when they were retroed. They were supposed to return on October 18, 2024, but the release was delayed until February 1, 2025, according to Sneaker News.
The Remix Pass is the new way to unlock collectibles and more via Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix. We reported yesterday that the game is rewinding the clock and bringing back fan favorites from Chapter 2. It will feature Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, Eminem, and Juice WRLD as playable skins.
Chapter 2 Remix is live in Fortnite and will run until November 30. Epic also teases that things will close with a “finale.”

If you thought Elon Musk couldn’t make X, formerly Twitter, any worse than it is, think again. A new take on the block feature has rolled out, and yes, it’s dumb.
Elon Musk first announced the change to the block feature back in September, and now it’s here. The Verge reports that X started launching the controversial change to how blocking trolls work over the weekend.
According to Techcrunch, the change will allow people who were once blocked on X to see your posts, followers, and who you are following.
According to Donald Trump’s newest glazer, Elon Musk, blocking people from seeing your public posts “makes no sense,” and now that all changes under Musk’s leadership will possibly allow people to harass you on the platform continually.
In October, the engineering account for X claimed in its argument for the change that users who blocked individuals could say hurtful or harmful things about the user they blocked without them knowing, and the change allows for “greater transparency.”
Rigggghhhttt.
Still, despite seeing what users can post, blocked users still can’t reply, like, follow, or send direct messages to the user who blocked them.
Some are pointing out how problematic this change to the block feature is and how it may not align with both Google and Apple’s app store policies.
Per The Verge:
But as Tracy Chou, who launched the anti-harassment tool Block Party, said in a post on X, “…the point is that friction matters!! making it easy for a creeper to creep is not a good thing!!”
Another issue is whether the updated block function aligns with the rules in app stores. Apple’s guidelines say that apps with user-generated content must have “The ability to block abusive users from the service.”

Megan Thee Stallion is not playing with you bloggers who have been dragging her name through the mud. On Wednesday, the rapper sued blogger Milagro Gramz to let her know she had time.
The Hip-Hop superstar is accusing Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, aka Milagro Gramz, of alleged cyberstalking and promoting deepfake pornography as well as pushing “false statements” about the criminal case involving Canadian Yosemite Sam, aka Tory Lanez, who is currently doing and saying anything to get out of jail after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
Per The HuffPost:
Megan’s legal team alleges that Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, aka Milagro Gramz, has engaged in a yearslong “campaign of harassment and cyberbullying” against the rapper, spreading “falsehoods” about the high-profile shooting case to Cooper’s “tens of thousands of social media followers.”
The law firm representing Megan accuses Cooper of being a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Lanez by promoting “the debunked theory that Mr. Peterson did not shoot” the Houston rapper, also known as Megan Pete.
“Defendant Cooper performed Mr. Peterson’s public bidding to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms, for no other reason than to bully, harass and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress,” Wednesday’s lawsuit states, according to a copy obtained by HuffPost.
The suit points to several instances in which Cooper allegedly made false claims about the shooting case in public.
One of the examples the suit points out is that Gramz made a “false and outlandish claim” on social media that the gun Lanez used to shoot Megan Thee Stallion was “missing” and was not presented as evidence during the high-profile trial.
“The firearm remains in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department,” the complaint said. “It is standard procedure in California criminal cases to show an image of the firearm in question rather than present the firearm in court.”
Megan Thee Stallion Claims Milagro Gramz Shared A Deepfake Porn Video
The “HISS” rapper also accused Cooper of sharing a deepfake pornographic video featuring seemingly realistic footage utilizing artificial intelligence allegedly showing Thee Stallion engaging in sexual acts.
The 29-year-old musician is also accusing Cooper of intentionally inflicting emotional distress and invasion of privacy and is requesting a trial by jury.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Cooper acknowledged that the rapper has officially come for writing in a post, “I’ve been informed that I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion.”
In a statement, Thee Stallion addressed the lawsuit, saying, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life.”
Clearly, Megan Thee Stallion was fed up. The lawsuit comes on the heels of people like DJ Akademiks sharing false information claiming the California appeals court had found Lanez innocent. Now, clips of her documentary are being shared, and she is leaving no crumbs and snatching wigs.

The writing was on the wall, and PlayStation finally did what everyone knew was coming and closed Firewalk Studios.
Firewalk Studios was on borrowed time following the disastrous launch of its hero shooter, Concord. The time has ended after Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) shuttered the studio, after just acquiring them over a year and a half ago. The PlayStation owner also closed the mobile studio Neon Koi.
“I know none of this is easy news to hear, particularly with colleagues and friends departing SIE,” PlayStation CEO of the studio business group Hermen Hulst said in a memo to staff shared on Tuesday. “Both decisions were given serious thought, and ultimately, we feel they are the right ones to strengthen the organization. Neon Koi and Firewalk were home to many talented individuals, and we will work to find placement for some of those impacted within our global community of studios where possible.”
When PlayStation made the shocking decision to take Concord offline on September 6, the company did leave a sliver of hope that the game could return.
Hermen Hulst Touches On Concord’s Failure
In his memo, Hurst discussed Concord’s failure to meet expectations, writing, “Certain aspects of Concord were exceptional, but others did not attract enough players, and as a result, we took the game offline.”
“We have spent considerable time these past few months exploring all our options,” Hurst continued. “After much thought, we have determined the best path forward is to permanently sunset the game and close the studio. I want to thank all of Firewalk for their craftsmanship, creative spirit, and dedication. The PvP first-person shooter genre is a competitive space that’s continuously evolving, and unfortunately, we did not hit our targets with this title. We will take the lessons learned from ‘Concord’ and continue to advance our live service capabilities to deliver future growth in this area.”
Damn.
The decision to close both studios comes five months after Hulst and Hideaki Nishino took over as PlayStation’s CEOs. This is the latest blow to the video game company after Destiny creator Bungie, which Sony now owns, laid off more than 200 employees in August.

The internet came together to roast the Miami Heat after the team unveiled a new statue honoring Dwyane Wade that looked nothing like the legendary shooting guard.
Sunday was supposed to be a monumental day for the Basketball Hall of Famer. Instead, it turned out to be a day full of hilarious jokes.
The Heat unveiled Wade’s statue in front of the Kaseya Center in Miami during a ceremony, and immediately, social media had the same reaction: They asked, “Who is this man?” because the statue looked nothing like the 42-year-old retired NBA superstar.
The statue was supposed to depict Wade doing his iconic “this is my house” moment during his playing days. Instead, we got someone impersonating Wade, pulling off the moment.
Social media wasted no time taking the statue and using it in hilarious memes. One of those memes took the head of the statue and put it on Wade’s body during the iconic LeBron James alley-oop from Wade moment.
“Dwayne Wade’s statue is some NASTY WORK,’ the satirical sports X account, The Hater Report, wrote in the caption alongside a photo of the statue.
Another post read, “that ain’t D WADE, that’s homie from I Am Legend!!!”
“The Dwyane Wade statue will haunt me until my dying day,’ another user said on X.
During his speech, Wade even asked, “who is that guy?” Apparently he was just trolling, because he later shared a video of himself overseeing the statue being made.
Welp.
We can’t be mad if Dwyane Wade isn’t made about his statue, but he’s still gonna get these jokes.

Amber Rose continues with her political heada** behavior. To follow up her stumping for Trump, she is now accusing Beyoncé on Beyoncé’s internet of “stealing” her god-awful RNC speech.
Yes, you read that correctly. Amber Rose believes thee Beyoncé swagger jacked her moronic Republican National Convention speech and, this is the best part, “wants to be her badly.”
Rose hopped in the Instagram cesspool, aka The Shade Room’s comment section, and left a comment under a post of Beyoncé’s speech during a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Houston on Friday.
“She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech,” Rose said with no shame.
Did Beyoncé Really Copy Amber Rose’s Speech?
To her credit, there are some similarities, as both Rose and Beyoncé spoke about motherhood and how that weighed on their choice for president, but that’s where the similarities end.
“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyoncé, 43, said at the beginning of her speech.
“A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided.”
“Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations,” she continued. “We must vote, and we need you.”

In her pointless speech, where she is caping for everything she once proudly slut walked against, Rose said, “My whole world revolves around providing for my children, keeping them safe, and giving them an opportunity for a better life.”
“That’s something that unites all American parents, whether we’re Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, or Liberals — we all want a better country for our children.”
“But I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump, President of the United States,” she continued.
A Well-Deserved Dragging Commenced
Of course, the Beyhive and anyone with a lick of common sense wasted no time dragging Amber Rose on X, formerly Twitter.
“Beyoncé is an international superstar & global icon, you were Kanye’s mattress. SIDDOWN!,” one user on X wrote.
Another user added, “Sometimes I wish Beyoncé would bring out Sasha Fierce IRL and cuss y’all tf out. Amber girl, plz.”
No lies were told.
Now, remember, the only person who ever really had their speeches stolen was Michelle Obama when Melania Trump just basically copied and pasted her entire DNC speech.

Along with her new album, Megan Act II, Megan Thee Stallion released the visual for her latest single, “Bigger In Texas,” an ode to her home state and city of Houston.
The visual directed by Megan and Julian Klincewicz is H-Town to the max opening with title graphics in the 1990s Pen & Pixel font.
In the second verse of the song, co-produced by Bankroll Got It, Shawn Jarrett, Truckee Street and Han Yang Kingsley Wang, Megan raps, “E’rrythang bigger in Texas, ain’t no injections, we at the pole, no elections/ B–ch, don’t come around me tryna pass out drugs, ho, I ain’t poppin’ no Teslas/ I don’t wanna take no pictures, I don’t get along with these out here b–ches/ I don’t even know this hoe, but the b–ch keep beggin’ me for attention.”

GloRilla hit the gram to show off more than her moose knuckle; she had a whole baby bump, throwing social media into a tizzy.
Late last night, arguably one of Hip-Hop’s hottest acts, GloRilla, had all of her fans saying wait a damn minute when she posted a photo with a big ole baby bump.
Without any context, she shared two photos of herself standing in front of a full-length mirror, rocking a creme-colored bodysuit and holding her baby bump.
She wasn’t done “trolling” because she followed that up with more photos of her alleged “baby bump,” but this time, she was posted up, looking real happy couple-ish with BMF star Davinchi.
In the photos, the “Wanna Be” rapper is rocking the same creme-colored body suit, but this time, Davinchi is hugging her from behind with his hands on her “baby bump,” looking like a happy dad.
The timing of these photos is interesting as the Memphis, Tennessee native is currently promoting her latest project, Glorius. The photos also came after her appearance on Charlamagne Tha God’s podcast, Out of Context.
During the episode, she touched on wanting kids but not wanting to give birth herself, but through a surrogate.
“I do want to have kids but not my own kids,” Glo told The Breakfasts Club cohost. “I want to do a surrogate. I want somebody else to have my baby. I want [the baby] to have my DNA, but I want them to have it.”
She continued, “I just don’t want to actually have a baby. All my friends got kids, and they restricted a lot when they pregnant. I’m like, nah, I don’t want to go through that.”
