Jeezy and Jeannie Mai looked to be one of entertainment’s top power couples but the Atlanta rapper filed for divorce late last week which shocked many. A quick scan of Jeezy’s Instagram page shows the CTE boss clearly moving on by way of posting a cryptic message along with an old clip featuring his soon-to-be ex-wife that might raise eyebrows.
Jeezy, real name Jay Jenkins, and Jeannie Mai wed in 2021 after the pair met each other after Jeezy appeared on Mai’s former daytime talk show, The Real. Jenkins and Mai are the parents of a toddler girl and the rapper is asking for joint personal custody while also clearly stating that there is no saving the marriage.

On Instagram, the Snofall artist can be seen standing in front of a custom Mercedes-Benz and decked out in bright jewelry in a residential neighborhood with the caption for the image reading, “Too focused on who I’m becoming to focus on who’s not coming with me.”
In subsequent images from the post, Jeezy is still sporting a diamond-encrusted wedding band. Some online, especially in the comments section of the post, believe that this was a message for his estranged wife but that hasn’t been confirmed. The image was posted the same day news of the divorce filing went wide.
Jeannie Mai has not posted to her in five days, in which she shared images of her visit to New York for NYFW. She also shared a behind-the-scenes video of her preparation for the photo shoot on her TikTok page with Nick Minaj’s “Last Time I Saw You” as the backing music. As some noted, she too is still wearing her wedding ring.
Mai nor Jeezy have not made any full public statements regarding their split.

After four years of marriage, Joe Jonas has filed for divorce from Sophie Turner. The Jonas Brothers singer filed a petition for dissolution of marriage on Tuesday (Sept. 5) that stated “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” The news comes amid a firestorm of rumors alleging a breakup, but both Jonas’ and Turner’s […]

A day after filing for divorce from Britney Spears, Sam Asghari took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday (Aug. 17) to release a statement. “After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote in white text against a black screen. “We […]

Britney Spears‘ husband Sam Asghari has officially filed for divorce, according to documents obtained by Billboard. The divorce filing, which was submitted on Wednesday (Aug. 16) in Los Angeles Superior Court, notes that the couple separated on July 28, with Asghari citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for divorce. He also seeks spousal support from […]

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are separating after one year of marriage, according to People. TMZ was the first to share the news, but neither Spears nor Asghari have publicly confirmed the current status of their relationship. Billboard has reached out to Spears’ reps for more information, but did not receive a response at press […]

Imagine Dragons‘ Dan Reynolds and estranged wife Aja Volkman’s separation has moved to the next step, as she has officially filed for divorce, Billboard confirms. TMZ was the first to report the news.

The were documents filed Tuesday (April 18) at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles. As of press time, neither party has made a statement.

The petition arrives months after Reynolds’ announcement that he and Volkman — who is also a musician and is the lead singer of Nico Vega — were going their separate ways, and plan to co-parent. (The pair previously split in 2018, but by 2019 announced they were trying to repair the relationship.)

“I am saddened to say that after many beautiful years together Aja and I have separated,” the Grammy winner tweeted in September. “Being great parents to our children is our number one priority. Thank you for always supporting us with love and care for all these years.”

Reynolds and Volkman tied the knot in March 2011. Over their 12 years of marriage, the pair welcomed four children: Arrow, 10; twins Gia James and Coco Rae, 5; and Valentine, 2.

After announcing their separation in 2022, the Imagine Dragons frontman appeared on The Howard Stern Show and shared his feelings. “I love her. She is my best friend, and an incredible mother, and we are going to be great parents to our kids,” he said. “Relationships are so complex — here we are, at the close of a chapter and it feels hard, it feels like mourning for me. But it also feels like I’m just on the path I’m supposed to be on in life.”

Gloria Gaynor will survive. The 79-year-old disco superstar delved into her divorce from her manager, Linwood Simon, after 26 years of marriage with People this week, and even recalled the exact moment she knew it was time to call it quits.

She told the publication that she had an awful migraine headache for the second time in a few days, and Simon did not want to take her to the hospital. “I said, ‘OK, I’m done. You really, truly don’t care about me, and I’m done.’ I’d have to be freakin’ comatose not to get that,” she explained. “My friend nailed it when she said it was disregard. You don’t know how painful that can be until you experience it. [Leaving him] was extremely liberating.”

Though Gaynor says their marriage had “wonderful moments,” one problem was that it was never balanced. She wanted children and he didn’t, for example, but she “swallowed whatever he said and did whatever he said and just let him have his way.”

However, Gaynor says she’s now “very happy,” but is still open to the right person coming along. “I absolutely believe in love,” she says. “Whether it’s in the cards for me, I sincerely doubt it, ’cause I’m truly not interested anymore. If it happens, it happens. If not, I’m good. It’s a wonderful place to be.”

Her 1978 hit “I Will Survive” also feels true to her now more than ever. “I have not only survived, I have thrived,” Gaynor shared. “I really think a lot of it has to do with the fact that whenever I’m going through something, I have used that song.”
