We know you care. The Jeezy and Jeannie Mai saga continues.
*Trigger warning: this story contains incidents of domestic violence.*
Just a week ago, word on the street was that Jeezy was no longer seeking primary care for his daughter Monaco; instead, he wanted to ensure that his ex, former host of The Real, Jeannie Mai, had equal parenting time.
Then, a bomb was dropped on Thursday, April 25, by Mai in the form of domestic abuse allegations, along with some photo evidence per TMZ’s reporting.
Per TMZ:

In her filing, Jeannie outlines a few different instances of alleged abuse — including claims that Jeezy is prone to explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and domestic violence.

Jeannie cites one alleged incident from April 2022, when she says they were at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, and claims Jeezy choked her from behind while she was going up some stairs, and alleges he even pushed her down those same stairs.

Jeezy Denies Jeannie Mai’s Claims, Provides Receipts
It didn’t take long, but Jeezy immediately shot down those claims and had receipts in the form of text messages and photos provided to the blog, The Jasmine Brand.
In one of her claims, Mai points to an incident involving a golf cart in April 2022. In the photos provided by the “Put On” crafter, he alleges the golf cart incident was nothing but a mere accident, no one was to blame, and they both suffered injuries, adding it took place in June 2022.

Instead of being civil, this situation continues to get ugly. Social media, of course, has thoughts on the matter.
“Jeezy a black man in America and thought he was getting joint custody of an Asian lady baby. They must’ve never sold common sense at his trap house,” one user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote.
Another X user wrote, “seeing straight black men pretend to care about being fetishized by women to help protect jeezy from abuse allegations is so funny. they’re so see-thru.”
We sincerely hope these two can be civil for the sake of their daughter.

Jeezy and Common take part in a new documentary examining Hip-Hop’s journey to being embraced on the American political landscape.
As the 2024 presidential election season is in full swing, a new documentary is set to debut with a focus on the relationship that Hip-Hop culture now has with politics. Hip-Hop And The White House is a new feature that examines the journey of the culture’s acceptance by the executive branch of the nation, with prominent artists such as Jeezy and Common appearing to share their perspectives. The film is produced by &360, an anthology franchise created by Andscape, the multimedia platform created by ESPN and Disney to focus on the major contributions of Black people to American society.

Hip-Hop And The White House will also feature notable figures such as  U.S. Representative Maxine Waters, KRS-One, Roxanne Shante, Bun B, YG, Bakari Kitwana, Farai Chideya, Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Curren$y, Dave “Davey D” Cook, Grandmaster Caz and more. Jesse Washington, who is also an executive producer of the documentary along with Jeezy, is directing. Other producers include Dwayne Bray, Jason Aidoo, Jordan Benston, Mary Almonte, Steve Reiss and Ernest Dukes.
Jeezy spoke at length about the documentary in a recent interview with MSNBC host and analyst Ari Melber. “This documentary was to educate people on how much our impact and our influence is needed in this country,” he began. “Because if you want to talk to Black and brown people, you got to talk through them. And we are the ones that are the translators, you can’t talk directly to them unless you come to one of us, whoever that may be.”
The Church In These Streets rapper continued: “I think that’s something that everybody should be able to understand, that this is not just violence when we talk about this…when you think about, you know, everything that comes along with Hip-Hop is always negative. We do positive stuff as well. We actually are able to speak to our people, mobilize our people. I think that’s important.”
Hip-Hop And The White House will make its premiere on Hulu on April 22. Check out the trailer above.

The Snowman is clearing up the ongoing situation between himself and his ex-wife Jeannie Mai regarding custody of their 2-year-old daughter Monaco.
TMZ exclusively reports that Jeezy is no longer seeking primary care of the couple’s daughter but wants to ensure that he and Jeannie Mai have equal parenting time with Monaco.

According to the celebrity gossip site, the “Put On” crafter claims the former talk show host is restricting his access to his child in a new motion.
Per TMZ:

The rapper says he and Jeannie worked out an informal custody agreement last year, but that fell apart at the beginning of 2024 … and he claims he’s barely seen Monaco this whole year.

Jeezy says they agreed to let him take Monaco for spring break from March 3 to March 9 — but, when he sent someone to pick up his daughter for another visit at the beginning of April, she wasn’t at the home he and Jeannie shared.
The website also reports that Jeezy claims Jeannie Mai violated their agreement after moving out of their home, which leads to him often not knowing where his daughter is.
Jeezy also says FaceTiming his daughter is impossible because Mai blocked his number.
Cold world, if true.
Jeezy also addresses claims from Mai that the fact he owns guns is the reason she doesn’t want their daughter to see him, saying that they are not fair because he has always owned guns and his daughter’s safety is always a priority to him.
After initially filing paperwork asking for primary custody, he now requests a hearing to get to a temporary schedule allowing them to co-parent equally.

The Snowman wants to be a full-time dad because he claims his ex-wife isn’t stepping up to the plate as a parent, allegedly.
TMZ exclusively reports that Jeezy is seeking primary custody of the former couple’s daughter, Monaco. According to the celebrity gossip site, the Atlanta rapper is making the move because he feels Jeannie Mai is not around to take care of the child.

Per TMZ:

The rapper just filed new legal docs — obtained by TMZ — asking a judge to toss out the current custody and parenting time arrangement he hashed out in mediation with his estranged wife … and requesting that his daughter be allowed to live with him full-time.
Jeezy says he initially agreed to move to the basement amid their breakup. However, he says Jeannie later moved out of their family home, and took their little girl with her.

Jeezy alleges Jeannie has since tasked her brother and mother with the majority of the care of 2-year-old Monaco, claiming Jeannie’s extensive travel schedule isn’t good for their kid and adding that Jeannie has withheld his parenting time with their child for nearly 2 months.

A Brief Timeline of The Jeezy & Jeannie Mai Divorce
Jeezy shocked the world when he slapped Mai with divorce papers in September 2023. Since then, the couple has been taking shots at each other. Jeezy initially said in a statement that he cherished the time he spent with her and committed to co-parenting their child.”The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” Jeezy told XXL. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains, and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”
“Our beautiful daughter is the best gift from our relationship, and I am committed to assuring she feels the love and stability she deserves. During this period, I kindly request that you respect our family’s privacy as we focus on healing,” he continued.

Over the past few years The NPR Tiny Desk concerts have become a fan favorite event for music lovers across the board and while not many Hip-Hoppers are up on the intimate affairs, quite a few rappers have participated in the series.

The latest rapper to get down at the NPR headquarters in Washington D.C. is none other than Jeezy (formerly known as Young Jeezy) who took his trap style to the nation’s capital and gave everyone in attendance a lesson in thug motivation. Churning out hits like “Go Crazy,” “Air Forces” and “Standing Ovation” amongst other songs, Jeezy gave the crowd what they wanted and maybe more during his 23-minute performance and continues to prove that rappers can indeed give dope performances with a live band in tow.

Check out Jeezy’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert and let us know which one of those concerts are your favorite in the comments section below.

Jeannie Mai is clapping back at her ex-husband Jeezy, even claiming the Snowman stepped out on their marriage.
TMZ exclusively reports that Jeannie Mai is finally responding to Jeezy’s divorce petition and is letting off some serious claims, insinuating that the rapper violated their prenuptial agreement.

Per TMZ:
According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Jeannie more than insinuates her estranged husband is guilty of infidelity. Her lawyer writes, “Wife reserves the right to amend this counterclaim to add other grounds for divorce, but which Wife does not wish to specify herein at this time in the hope this matter can be resolved without having to disclose such conduct publicly.”

But, it gets even more pointed … “Wife further shows that the Court should enforce Paragraph 8 of the Prenuptial Agreement regarding infidelity which provides, in pertinent part, that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communications, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party …”
In simple terms, Mai is definitely accusing the “Put On” rapper of cheating, and his pockets will be touched, but the docs do not go into detail in terms of revealing who Jeezy allegedly cheated on Mai with.
Jeannie Mai’s Claims Could Be A Response To Cheating Allegations Against Her
These latest claims come on the heels of reports that Jeannie Mai allegedly cheated on Jeezy with her with Access Hollywood host Mario Lopez. A source close to Mai called those claims BS, according to TMZ.
Jeezy has also put out there that Mai possibly cheated on him after dropping his latest project, I Might Forgive … But I Don’t Forget, which just so happens to feature a song titled “Don’t Cheat.”
There was also that interview with Nia Long where the rapper and actress talked about cheating.
Hmm, we shall see how this plays out.

Jeezy, who recently ended a nearly two-decade run with Def Jam, is moving into new roles after releasing a book and other massive life changes. Sitting down with Nia Long for a revealing chat in support of his new double album, the rapper born Jay Jenkins bares it all with the veteran actress, and the pair share jewels of their journey along the way.
On Tuesday (November 7), Jeezy released the highly-anticipated hour-long YouTube chat with Nia Long titled after his 13th studio album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget. Long, serving as the lead interviewer, gets Jeezy to open up about his childhood before getting into his rise as one of the most consistent rappers in the game. However, the questions weren’t one-sided as Sno also asked his series of questions of Long, with the pair sharing intimate details of their upbringing.
Of course, this discussion turned to the topic of Jeezy’s recent split with Jeannie Mai, and while he never says anything negative about Mai, he makes it clear that he tried to save their union. This, in turn, inspired Long to open up about her past relationship with current Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and the explosive scandal that occurred when he coached the Boston Celtics.
After remaining poised and professional, Long appeared to be emotional when speaking about her former relationship and raising the former couple’s son. However, whatever work that Nia Long and Jeezy have done in therapy is apparently paying dividends.
In our opinion, it’s one of the best things you’ll watch today if you’re into seeing a Black man and a Black woman get honest about their struggles with one another. There are still some online that aren’t buying some of the points raised in the conversation, but mostly many of the comments online have remained positive.

Check out the interview below.

The Snowman finally talks after filing for divorce from television host Jeannie Mai.
Spotted on XXL, Jeezy broke his silence on his pending divorce from the former The Real co-host, Jeannie Mai,  in a statement sent to the Hip-Hop website.

“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart,” Jeezy told XXL. “Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”
In the statement, the “Put On” rapper touched on the couple’s 1-year-old daughter and his commitment to co-parenting.

“Our beautiful daughter is the best gift from our relationship and I am committed to assuring she feels the love and stability she deserves. During this period, I kindly request that you respect our family’s privacy as we focus on healing,” he continued.
The rapper’s statement comes after Jeanie Mai announced she was taking a break from social media and spoke on the divorce in a recent interview on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show Sherri.
“I’m not going to lie,” Jeannie Mai said. “It takes every day to just to really sit and just be quiet with your thoughts, take care of me. But one thing I know is, you give God your pain, he will give you his power, period. So, every day, I’m like, ‘Here you go. You got room for more? Here’s some more.’ Just taking it day by day,” Mai told Shepherd.
Mai and Jeezy began dating in 2019, tying the knot in 2021 and eventually welcoming their 1-year-old daughter, Monaco Mai Jenkins, into the world.

After being banned by the Snowman, oops, we mean hit with a gut punch after Jeezy filed for divorce, Jeannie Mai is taking a much-needed break from social media “to heal.”

Spotted on Page Six, the former co-host of The Real is putting her mental health front and center following her shocking divorce from Jeezy.

The television host announced her break with a photo of a handwritten note with the message, “Sometimes, you need to take a break and disconnect, to heal,” with just a black heart emoji in the caption on her Instagram account.

Mai’s announcement comes after Page Six exclusively learned from a source that she was “devastated” by Jeezy putting their union on ice.
Per Page Six:
“The truth is Jeannie wants her marriage to work and wants her family to be one solid unit,” the insider said.
“Even though Jeezy has filed, Jeannie is holding out hope that he would be willing to sit down and works things [out]. She is hoping for a resolution and wants to remain as a united family unit.”
The Jeezy/Mai union ended after the 46-year-old “Put On” crafter filed for divorce on September 15, after two years of what everyone assumed to be a happy marriage.
Jeannie Mai & Jeezy Were Separated Before The Divorce
In court documents obtained by Page Six, the rapper, born Jay Jenkins, said he and Mai were already separated at the time, noting that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
Jeezy also seeks joint custody of the now-former couple’s 1-year-old daughter Monaco.

According to TMZ, Mai and Jeezy are reportedly still living together while being separated for the sake of their child.
The celebrity gossip site reports that they barely interact with each other even though they still live under the same roof.
While Mai struggles mentally, Jeezy seems to enjoy his newfound “freedom” and promoting his book while posting cryptic messages on social media.

Maybe there is still room for some reconciliation.
