A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld Cardi B’s $4 million defamation verdict against a gossip blogger who made salacious claims on YouTube about drug use, STDs and prostitution.

In a five-page decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit rejected an appeal from Tasha K, who had claimed that the massive verdict against her was the result of “very lopsided presentation of evidence to the jury.”

The appeals court ruled that Tasha K (real name Latasha Kebe) had failed to properly make that argument to the trial judge, meaning she forfeited the right to do so before an appeals court.

“Defendant Latasha Kebe asks for a new trial, saying that there was insufficient evidence for the jury verdict against her,” the appeals court wrote. “But as she all but admits, she didn’t make either of the required post-verdict motions in the district court.”

Tasha’s attorneys had also argued that the judge overseeing the trial withheld key evidence that might have helped her beat Cardi’s accusations, but the Eleventh Circuit rejected that argument, too.

“She never tells us where in the 5500-page record the district court’s alleged errors can be found,” the appeals court wrote. “Because Kebe’s brief falls well short of what we require, she has abandoned this argument.”

Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almánzar) sued Tasha in 2019, over what the rapper’s lawyers called a “malicious campaign” on social media and YouTube aimed at hurting Cardi’s reputation. The star’s attorneys said they had repeatedly tried – and failed – to get her to pull her videos down.

One Tasha video cited in the lawsuit includes a statement that Cardi had done sex acts “with beer bottles on f—ing stripper stages.” Others videos said the superstar had contracted herpes; that she had been a prostitute; that she had cheated on her husband; and that she had done hard drugs.

Following a trial in January, jurors sided decisively with Cardi B, holding Tasha liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. They awarded more than $2.5 million in damages and another $1.3 million in legal fees incurred by the rapper. Judge William Ray later issued an injunction forcing her to pull the videos from the internet.

Tasha appealed that verdict last summer, arguing in her opening appellate brief that Judge Ray withheld key details from jurors and the verdict was the result of a “very lopsided” trial. She’s vowed to keep fighting the case “all the way to the Supreme Court if need be,” even if it “takes years” to do so.

Following Tuesday’s decision, a trip to the Supreme Court would be the procedural next step, but it’s unclear if Tasha will actually do so. The high court hears only a tiny fraction of the cases it is sent, and Tasha’s appeal does not likely present the kind of close questions that the justices typically want to tackle.

Tasha’s attorney did not return a request for comment on Tuesday’s ruling.

The status of the $4 million damages award is also unclear. In September, Cardi’s attorneys warned Judge Ray that Tasha might use the delay caused by her appeals to avoid paying.

“This is more than a hypothetical concern in this case,” attorney Lisa F. Moore and Cardi’s other lawyers at the time. “During the litigation, Kebe bragged publicly that she had taken steps to insulate herself from a judgment. And there have been recent online reports that Kebe has moved from Georgia to avoid enforcement of the judgment.”

A month later, Judge Ray ruled that Tasha would need to either immediately pay Cardi B, or secure a bond covering the entire amount while she appeals. It’s unclear if she ever did either.

Cardi B lives with very little regrets. One decision that has seemed to bring her much happiness is tattooing her son’s name on her face.

As spotted on D Listed the South Bronx bombshell is embracing her newest ink in a big way. Last month she and Offset debuted their first ever McDonald’s meal just in time for Valentine’s Day. As expected the offering was a big hit with her fans and created excitement on the fast food bundle. Another bonus from the campaign with The Golden Arches is that her followers got their first real look at her most recent tattoo. To commemorate the birth of her son she tatted WAVE in red ink on her jawline.

The “Press” rapper recently shared an up close visual of the artwork and made it clear it is here to stay. “I Love My Face Tatt ❤️” she wrote via a Twitter post. Cardi originally teased the idea a year ago saying “Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!” She eventually got it done back in September of 2022 during a private session with celebrity tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos. Additionally, her placement mirrors Offset’s tattoo of their daughter Kulture’s name. The couple have been married since 2017.

What was a disciplinary measure has been a game changer for Cardi B. She says community service has been an unexpected blessing.

As spotted on Complex the Bronx bombshell is making good on the plea deal she accepted back in September. Back in 2018 she was alleged to instigating a fight that her entourage in essence carried out which left several employees at Angels Gentlemen’s Club in Queens were hurt. Additionally, the venue was left in shambles. In turn she pleaded guilty to assault in the third degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree in order to avoid any jail time. As part of her agreement she was sentenced to 15 days of community service which she recently started serving.

On Saturday, February 25 she took to Twitter to reveal that the experience has changed her forever. “Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me. Almost like a spiritual journey because sometimes I leave these centers in tears .Those people that we leave behind they just need somebody to talk and a lil push and YOU might be able to change their life forever” she wrote. Earlier today she doubled down on her enthusiasm saying “Community service today till 4pm …..Just cause you famous it don’t mean your special …OBEY THE LAW!”.

Thus far Cardi B has performed community service in churches, schools and organizations throughout New York City.

Cardi added, “Whether it’s going for a date night or grabbing a bite after late-night studio sessions… I’m always asking Offset to take me to McDonald’s. And now, Offset and I have a meal named after us! I want all my fans to try it – especially with that BBQ sauce.

The powerhouse couple stars in the popular fast food restaurant’s new Super Bowl LVII commercial on Sunday (Feb. 12) dedicated to a true sign of love in a relationship, which, of course, is knowing each other’s McDonald’s order.

“I think we’ve been to McDonald’s 200 million times,” Cardi tells Billboard of why her and Offset’s partnership with the restaurant was such a natural fit, noting that the duo have “different taste palates,” with the “I Like It” rapper feeling a bit more adventurous when it comes to cuisine and the Migos rapper opting to keep it simple.

“That’s the thing about McDonald’s is that we both eat it,” Cardi shares with a laugh. “I might suggest a different restaurant and if we get to the restaurant and the menu’s a little weird and Offset doesn’t like the food, he just looks at me.”

Offset then chimes in, “I’m a Plain Jane type of guy. I don’t like to do too much. I’m also a texture type of guy. I don’t like slimy food like oysters and stuff like that. It’s all in my head and it just tastes nasty automatically.”

As a result, the duo have created their own Cardi B & Offset Meal at McD’s, which includes a blend of each of their go-to menu items plus their favorites to split on date night. The meal is perfect for sharing with your loved one, best friend or anyone who means a lot to you.

In Cardi B’s section of the meal, fans will get a classic McDonald’s cheeseburger, paired with tangy BBQ sauce and a large Coca-Cola. Offset’s meal, meanwhile, has a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a large Hi-C Orange Lavaburst juice. To top things off, the meal comes with a large order of french fries and a flakey apple pie to share. The meal will be available starting, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) and will be served in cute packaging inspired by the season of love.

And, yes, Cardi and Offset even weighed in on the age-old debate about whether or not they like to share their fries. “As a man, you got your girl, you better share them fries, boy,” Offset warns his fellow men out there.

Cardi, however, feels differently. “I’m not even going to lie to you. Offset is nice to share his fries, but I don’t like to share my fries with him. I don’t care!” she explains. “When I share my fries, it’s not like he takes two or three fries. He takes 10 fries at a time. That bothers me. I don’t care. I’mma say it. I’m not sharing my fries!”

Despite their differing opinions on the etiquette surrounding french fries, Cardi and Offset’s bond is as strong as ever, which they attribute to being honest and having open communication. “We’ve been through a lot with each other,” Offset shares. “Some people in Hollywood live through Hollywood, but we live through each other and keep our stuff at home good. We go through ups and downs at home but have a great support system. Everybody listens to each other and have each other’s back. At the end of the day, our mission is to be successful and take care of the family.”

He also makes sure that no matter what he has going on, he will always make time to hang out with his wife and the couple’s two kids, four-year-old daughter Kulture and one-year-old son Wave. “I got to be with my baby. I can’t go too long without her,” the rapper says of Cardi. “If I have to travel and jump on a jet just to get back home, I will. We got the kids at home. That’s why we’re always together. We have to make sure they’re good, because we don’t want to be the parents who are always missing from their kids. We work and come right back home, because it’s really important.”

Watch the duo in the new McDonald’s commercial below, and check out a behind-the-scenes Q&A, where Cardi B and Offset dish on their relationship here.

Cardi B looks to have entered the chat following a string of heated back-and-forth comments between her husband Offset and J Prince.
“BIG LIES,” the rapper tweeted on Wednesday (Feb. 8), seemingly in response to a video J Prince posted on Instagram replying to a video from Offset. In the voiceover clip, he accused the Migos member of being “fake,” “playing the victim” and even threatening his family.

Cardi also responded to a Twitter user who wrote (and has since deleted), “You be set trippin and forgot J Prince had to help YOU feel safe in LA. Where’s the lie?” She replied, “NEVER….tell him to show receipts ….Only people that was there was Wack and Big U ….why would he be call for anything involving crips?  Whole bunch of fairy tales.”

Offset also chimed in, writing, “Street Nigga turn [police emoji] never needed you for no smoke u da police all mouth with no proof just fairy tales [laughing emoji] let this be the last time we speak on this.”

Street Nigga turn 👮🏾never needed you for no smoke u da police all mouth with no proof just fairy tales 😂 let this be the last time we speak on this— OFFSET (@OffsetYRN) February 9, 2023

The feud started when the Rap-A-Lot CEO suggested that Offset was not there for his Migos bandmate and cousin Takeoff, 28, before Takeoff’s murder last year in an episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game. “In reality, the truth of the matter is, n—a you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So for you to be taking these positions that you taking,” Prince added, suggesting that he’s got people all around and he’s heard “all kinds of things” from unnamed sources about what happened on the night Takeoff was shot and killed in November during a night out with Quavo in Prince’s hometown of Houston. Prince also made what seemed like a direct warning to Offset, saying, “Don’t ever put me in a position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t be healthy for you.”

In response, Offset posted a video in which he’s visibly heated. “Y’all n—as speaking on my real brother… I don’t know what the f–k ya’ll n—as got going on, y’all n—as talkin’ about my real brother,” the Migos MC said in the minute-long black and white clip. “How dare one of y’all n—as even speak on me and Take relationship. I don’t know you n—as from a can of paint. Ya’ll n—as don’t know how me and my brother rock.”

He also slammed Prince for what he said was his “fifth interview” in which he’s discussed Takeoff’s death. “You ain’t think about his momma? You ain’t think about the family n—a?” ‘Set asked. “We ain’t said nothin’. Ain’t nobody said nothing but you n—as. Who y’all n—as think ya’ll n—as is? John Gotti n—a?… And if you heard something from me, I’mma tell you it’s gonna come from me, call my phone.

The backstage dispute between Quavo and Offset at the Grammy Awards was halted apparently due to Cardi B stepping in, reportedly.
The “WAP” rapper had just gone backstage after presenting the award for Best Rap Album to Kendrick Lamar at the ceremony on Sunday night (Feb. 5th), when video cameras from Entertainment Tonight caught her scolding both members of the Migos group, Quavo, and Offset. “Both of y’all wrong. Both of y’all! This is not right,” she yelled before continuing: “No, b—-es, shut the f–k up. ’Cause you shouldn’t have been talking.” Cardi B is married to Offset, and the two share two children – their daughter Kulture and their son, Wave.

It was unclear whom the latter comments were directed towards, but it was later revealed that the two were having a heated argument ahead of the “In Memoriam” tribute segment of the show where their late colleague Takeoff would be honored. According to TMZ, both Offset and Quavo were asked to take part but Quavo refused to let Offset join him onstage. The two allegedly got into a scuffle and had to be separated.
Quavo would appear onstage shortly after to perform “Without You”, a song he wrote specifically for Takeoff, who was also his nephew. Offset is also related to the two, as a cousin. The absence of Offset led many watching to be a bit disappointed at the bad blood that still exists between the remaining Migos members. Offset would later deny that there was any altercation,
posting to Twitter: “What tf look like fighting my brother yal n—-s is crazy.”

The murder of Takeoff outside of a bowling alley in downtown Houston, Texas last November has been extremely hard on both Quavo and Offset. Offset has been vocal about his grief, saying that he’s been in a “dark place” since the tragic incident. Quavo, who was present at the time of the shooting, has also been publicly and privately mourning the loss. The alleged shooter, Patrick Xavier Clark, is set to stand trial for the incident on March 9th.

Cardi B continues to be an open book. In a new interview she discusses a rough patch in her relationship with Offset.

Per Complex, the Bronx bombshell recently sat down with Jason Lee for The Jason Lee Show on REVOLT. The two discussed a variety of topics, but opening up regarding some of her and Offset’s past relationship issues seemed to be the highlight of the visit.

“Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye to eye,” Bardi revealed. “This was, like, the same year that I filed for divorce and everything. I’m going let him talk about this, because…the main thing that was really bothering me, I’m [going] let him say it himself. I want him to say it because I feel like that’s really part of his story.”
While she was selective with how much she gave away, she added some context. “The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed. And it showed me that he wanted to change for me” she said. Ultimately, Offset was able to win her back by stepping up.
“You [can] just see when somebody’s trying,” Cardi explained. “I feel like we got married so young, and we got married so, like, spontaneously. And we did know each other, but we kind [of] didn’t know each other. We just was in love with each other and we had, like, a little toxic relationship. During our marriage and by time passing, we grew. We grew with each other.”

The “I Like It” rapper is the latest guest on The Jason Lee Podcast this week, where she revealed that she and Offset were planning on going to a Halloween party on the night of Takeoff’s death, but stayed home after their four-year-old Kulture threw up on Cardi’s costume.

“We just fell asleep and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing, my phone kept ringing,” she recalled. “Offset picked up the phone and he [was] just like, ‘Noooo,’ and he [was] screaming and screaming. I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ and he’s like, ‘Takeoff is dead.’”

“I smacked him and I said, ‘Don’t say that. Like, don’t say that!’ And then he [was] just screaming and just throwing things, throwing up, running all over and I was so scared,” she continued. “I was just crying so much. It was terrible.”

Cardi added that despite the tragedy, she’s grateful for the time she spent with Migos, consisting of Takeoff, his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset. “I feel like I’m so happy that I experienced all those great moments when they were all together and everything,” she said. “It’s a great memory. Sometimes I cannot even listen to Culture because I get emotional. I love them forever.”

Takeoff was just 28 years old when he was fatally shot following a private party at a downtown Houston bowling alley. Takeoff’s primary cause of death was listed as “penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm,” according to an autopsy.

Cardi B continues to be the voice of the people. Her recent vide rant on inflation is everything and then some.

As spotted on CNN the Bronx, New York native recently felt a ways after her last grocery pick up. She took to social media to vent and it started with a tweet that explained her frustration. “Naaaaaa grocery shopping prices are ridiculous right now You might as well eat outside !!” she wrote. She followed things up with a second post with some receipts saying “B*** why lettuce cost 6 dollars where I live at ?”.

As expected her opinion was met with both support and criticism online. She soon filmed a video explaining why she feels so appalled at the soaring prices of food. “Let me tell you somethin’: When I be complaining about food prices, and y’all motherf***ers be like, ‘Ain’t you rich? Why you complaining about this?’, that just goes to show me, when you become successful, when you have money, you gonna go broke soon because y’all not budgeting,” she said.
Bardi went on to further detail her stance. “I get a summary of the money that’s being spent in my home every week. So, when I’m starting to see that groceries is, like, tripling up, it’s like, ay, yo, what the f*** is going on? I wanna see for myself what the f*** sh*t is being spent on, and when I go to the f***ing supermarket — I went to the supermarket — I’m seeing that everything tripled up” she revealed. “That lettuce was, like, $2 a couple of months ago, and now, it’s like f***ing $7. Of course, I’ma say something! The f***! ‘Cause if I think that sh*t is crazy, I can only imagine what middle-class people or people in the hood is motherf***ing thinking. So, yes, I’m going to say something”.
