Here Are 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Priscilla Block | Billboard Country Live

Priscilla Block reveals five things you didn’t know about her.

Priscilla Block:
Hey, I’m Priscilla Block, and here are five things that you might not know about me.

I am, like, a very great burper. I mean, I can hold pitch like it’s just a long burp … like belch. I don’t know. It’s very, very ladylike.

Another thing that fans might not know about me is I was supposed to be a twin. I think I ate my twin! I’m serious, that is actually real. I won’t go into all the details, but I have lived my life eating for two people. Thick thighs save lives, baby!

OK, this is a really good one. I sang “Wasted” for my third-grade talent show. Everyone else was singing Annie and, like, Beauty and the Beast soundtracks, and I sang “Wasted” by Carrie Underwood. The whole song is about being wasted. I definitely won.

Another thing that fans might not know about me: I can wakeboard. Not, like, decently great, but I mean, I can get up on a wakeboard, you know, cross the wake and everything. She really is a lot sportier than she seems.

There was one time I went to the hair salon, and this was, like, right after I signed my record deal, and this angel wanted to do my hair and she was like, “I’ll do it for free.” I walked out of there feeling like Carrie Underwood. I mean, my hair was blonde. It was so beautiful. I left the hair salon, and I called her immediately and I was like, “Hey, I love the hair. I just don’t think it’s trashy enough.” And she was like, “What?” And I was like, “I just need chunks in it. Like, it’s too blended. It looks too good.” And she was like, “OK …” So I felt really bad for her. I basically made her undo everything that she did. And I was like, “I’m really just going for more of, like, trailer park type vibe.”

Harry Styles was struck in the face by a flying object during his concert in Vienna. Taylor Swift invited her ex-Taylor Lautner on stage after the release of her latest re-release, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” And more!

Tetris Kelly:
We got a new leader on top of the Hot 100. Harry Styles is struck by an object during his concert. Taylor Swift had an epic weekend. Hillary Scott teaches us her hometown slang. And Megan Moroney goes fishing for answers

Tetris Kelly:
Welcome to another week of Billboard News, I’m Tetris Kelly. It’s Monday, July 10th. And Morgan Wallen’s reign on the charts has come to an end. Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’ slays Morgan Wallen’s ‘Last Night’ to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

Tetris Kelly:
‘Vampire’ becomes Olivia Rodrigo’s third No. 1 on the Hot 100, matching the success of ‘Good 4 U’ and ‘Drivers License.’ She dethroned Morgan Wallen after 13 nonconsecutive weeks at the top. Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Taylor Swift’s ‘Cruel Summer’ reaches a new peak at No. 7, almost four years after its release. Over on the 200, Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pink Tape’ debuted at No. 1.

Tetris Kelly:
This is their third No. 1 album and the first rap album to reach the top spot this year, and also in the top 10, Aespa’s ‘My World: The 3rd Mini Album’ and Rylo Rodriguez’s ‘Been One.’ Now we move on to the dangerous trend of fans throwing objects at concerts.

Megan Moroney Plays Fishing for Answers | Billboard Country Live

Megan Moroney plays Fishing for Answers at Billboard’s Country Live event.

Megan Moroney:
What’s up, y’all? I’m Megan Moroney, and I’m going Fishing for Answers with Billboard.

“What’s your secret talent?” I can do the ABCs backwards. Z, Y, X, W, V, U, T, S, R, Q, P, O, N, M, L, K, J, I, H, G, F, E, D, C, B, A. I don’t know when or how I learned how to do that.

“Where’s the craziest place you’ve ever run into a fan?” Probably the bathroom at Chili’s.

“What’s your favorite dance move, and can you show us?” It’s the worm and moonwalk, but I’m not going to do either of those. I’m in a dress.

“Best concert you’ve ever attended?” The Eras Tour. No question.

Oh, God, this one is so hard. “Who’s your style icon and why?” I don’t really have one. I just wear whatever the hell I want.

“Who was your musical inspiration growing up?” Definitely Miranda Lambert and, in high school, Kacey Musgraves.

“Who’s made you the most starstruck?” Meg Thee Stallion. She sat in front of me at the CMT Awards, and I was just in awe. She’s so pretty.

“First celebrity crush?” Probably Zac Efron. I feel like that’s everyone’s first celebrity crush.

Here Are 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Madeline Edwards | Billboard Country Live

Madeline Edwards reveals five things you didn’t know about her.

Madeline Edwards
Hi, I’m Madeline Edwards and here are five things you may not know about me.

I used to write sci-fi fiction when I was a little girl and I might still write sci-fi fiction maybe.

My mother’s Polish, and we ate a lot of Polish food growing up and I hated it.

I have a pet peeve, and it is definitely when people don’t finish what they’re chewing in their mouth before they take a drink. It really irks me. I hate that so much.

One thing people may not know about me is I would really love to start my own western line one day. I think it would include cowboy hats and obviously turquoise and cool fringe jackets and stuff. I think that’d be really cool.

I love making cocktails. It is a really cool thing that I picked up during COVID. And when I was at home, I was reading a bunch of cocktail books and learning what liquors to mix and what bitters to use. So that is one of my like, little, you know, talents that I have when I have people come over, I made something called the new fashioned, which is basically the same ingredients as an old fashioned but you use mezcal instead.

Hillary Scott From Lady A Reveals Her Favorite Nashville Slang | Billboard Country Live

Hillary Scott from Lady A reveals her favorite Nashville slang at Billboard’s Country Live event.

Hillary Scott
Hey, I’m Hillary Scott. And here is some of my favorite Nashville slang, and they might be East Texas because that’s where my mom is from, but I’m born and raised in Nashville. So I’ll say that they’re Nashville.

“Six one way, half a dozen the other” — which means it’s kind of the same thing. Just two ways to say it.

And then I mean “bless your heart,” of course.

And there’s just the very original, not by anyone other than Minnie Pearl I believe, which was “y’all come back now, ya hear?”

Carly Pearce Plays Fishing for Answers | Billboard Country Live

Carly Pearce plays Fishing for Answers at Billboard’s Country Live event.

Carly Pearce:
Hi, I’m Carly Pearce and I’m going fishing for answers with Billboard.

What is your favorite album or country album of the year so far? I think Nate Smith’s record is really, really good front to back.

Who was your musical inspiration growing up? All the ladies of the 90s, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, Lee Ann Womack, and I’m a huge Alison Krauss fan, Loretta, Dolly.

What is the most country thing you’ve ever done? Got married and divorced in one year.

Recording or touring? I like both. I think the recording process is really fun because you get to be so musical but there’s really nothing like getting to see the songs that you write come to life on the road and you get to have summer camp with your band. It’s super fun.

Best concert you’ve ever attended? Either. Alison Krauss and Union Station or Keith Urban open for The Chicks.

What’s your secret talent? Can’t really show you in here but I have the most double jointed arms that you could ever see. Hopefully you can see it, judging by the other people in this room. You can see it

Katie Bain
Hello, I’m Katie Bain this is Billboard News and we are here with the legend Jason Mraz, the legend.

Jason Mraz
Wow I’m a legend?

Katie Bain
Truly a legend.

Jason Mraz
Thanks Katie.

Katie Bain
About to become more legendary because you are releasing a new album. And I’m not gonna lie. I’m just gonna read this off the cue card because it’s a bit of a mouthful: ‘Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride.’

Jason Mraz
Yeah, that’s the new album.

Katie Bain
I feel that there’s probably a lot intertwined in the title itself. So just unpack that for me to start.

Jason Mraz
It comes from a lyric inside the album. For me, it sums up life. I want to be mystified by life because I don’t know what’s going on. And so the album addresses life, and how to stay awake and enjoy the ride.

Katie Bain
I really love this album. And it’s beautiful, and it’s smart. And I was intrigued by sort of the framing of it as pop music for people in their 40s. How does this album reflect your age and your experiences?

Here Are 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Austin Mahone | Billboard

Austin Mahone reveals five things you didn’t know about him.

Austin Mahone:
Hey, I’m Austin Mahone, and here are five things that you may not know about me.

The first thing is that you should know is that I’m country. I’m from San Antonio, Texas. I grew up, you know, going to every single rodeo that I could. My first concert I ever went to was Kenny Chesney, and I just love country music.

And the second thing you may not know about me is that everything that you saw in my “Kuntry” music video was real — it’s from my family. That’s just what they love to do in their spare time is get their friends and their friends’ trucks together and go mudding and drink beer and scream at the top of their lungs and shove people in the muddy water. It’s just a good time.

The third thing that people may not know about me is I’m 6 feet tall, so just know.

The fourth thing is I have a film account. I like to shoot film pictures. So if you want to see my work, it’s in my bio, just click the link in there.

The fifth thing is I grew up with two dogs and two cats, and I think I might prefer cats over dogs.

I’m Austin Mahone. And those are five things that you may not have known about me
