What’s up? This is Michael Santiago Render. You didn’t know my name was Santiago, but here are five other things you didn’t know about me.

I’m a big guy, so people think I’m short, but I’m actually six foot three. So I’m tall — that’s something people don’t know about me.

I’m an avid reader. I absolutely love reading books. So if you ever want to gift me something, you can gift me a book. Doesn’t even matter what it’s about. I love reading, so I’m always into that.

I support unionizing. I support sex workers unionizing their service. Even though I said that on a rap, I was very happy to see a bunch of dancers got the ability to form a union and a club out here somewhere, as I supported the girls at Pin Up for a number of years when they were trying to get unionized. So I’m a union supporter through and through.

Well, I have two dads. My mom gave me an amazing bio and non-bio father, so Michael and Anthony are my dads. I’ll let you guess which one is the bio, but Mike has the advantage of having two fathers — not just one — so my fatherly advice comes in doubles, usually.

I’m not the business half of my marriage. My wife is much smarter at business than me, so whenever people come up to me talking about real-estate deals, restaurants and stuff like that, I always just got to defer them to her because I’m just a capital investor. She does the day-to-day s–t.

I’m Tetris Kelly, it’s Monday, August 21st, and let’s get things started with a Britney update. Britney Spears hears you talking and she doesn’t care. Almost divorced Britney is living her life and still releasing her book. Britney is truly free and we like what we see. Last week, news broke that Britney Spears and Sam Asghari were headed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, Sam posted he wishes her the best and Brit posted herself, “Six years is a long time to be with someone so I’m a little shocked, but I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly nobody’s business.”

Well, Britney, we want more and she gave us more. Our queen was not happy after paparazzi photos of her leaked. So she had a night out, posting, “When you go to meet up with a so-called friend then you have to wait in the car and need to use the bathroom. I knew paps were tipped off. So what does a bi— like me do? I put my green dress on and show up at my friends. I invited my fav boys over and played all night.” Play with me, Britney! And will her book change after the divorce news? TMZ is reporting there won’t be any changes made to the memoir to reflect Britney’s divorce, and the book will be released as it is. ‘The Woman In Me’ is available October 24.

… Seen a ghost:
I have. Specifically, I just moved, and the one that I was in for the last three years, in the beginning had a lot of paranormal activity. Things would move, lights would go on and off, I would catch stuff from the corner of my eye. The TV, I will take the remote batteries off and just try to … “Why is this happening?” It would move and it was almost like a Ouija board, like it would say stuff through the titles. Eventually we came to peaceful resolutions. They never bug me anymore. Every now and then, I have a light that I used to have that I call the “yes and no” light. Sometimes I’d be thinking of something — I got a phone call and offer, and it would turn off you know. I wouldn’t do everything by it, but yeah.

… Been in handcuffs:
I have. I was 19, 18 the first time I happened. We had some weed in the car — we got pulled over, somebody tried to hide it. It was a stupid move and we got caught. So no charges because it was an illegal search.

Hello, I’m Jon Batiste, and this is five things you might not know about me.

I just learned how to swim last year. Still working on it. But I know how to swim now.

I was a basketball national champion before I was a jazz musician before I became a artist in high school.

I love love, love listening to the Spice Girls. It’s an amazing group.

I always put my albums out based upon people in my life and markers in time. For instance, like my last album was my maternal grandmother’s birthday. The next album will be my grandfather’s birthday.

My first instrument when I started playing music — before the piano, before even the drums — was the bongos, and I had a set of bongos that you could put right here in your lap. And I would play those and I only knew one pattern, and I played that same pattern for two years.

And those are five things you didn’t know about me … I hope.

I feel great. Glad to be here with you, glad to be living.

Carl Lamarre:
We were just talking ahead of the cameras about your new record “Drink Water.” I told you when I first heard it. You know, it felt like a mantra like you said. I was like, “You must have been in the argument. You know, the missues was like, ‘You know, Jon, I don’t like how you’re doing this.’”

Jon Batiste:
Right? Calm down!

Water is the theme in the album. There’s many different themes that recur, and we didn’t even really realize when we were making it — some of the things was subliminal. And you know, I was working with the great Jon Bellion, Long Island — shoutout to Long Island — the great John Bellion had this thing that he had for his son, just in terms of living life and the world’s crazy, and just the idea of self-care and being in the world living your life. Sometimes you got to take a pause. And relating to that in my life and the things we’ve been through and all the stuff that we’ve tried to create in this album is a mantra.

Welcome back to Billboard News. I’m Tetris Kelly, and it’s Thursday, August 17th. And we’ve got to talk about all the new details of Britney’s divorce. Britney Spears is rumored to be headed for divorce, and there are so many stories out there, including allegations of cheating. Is Sam fighting the prenup? I’m ready to go to war for Britney, but let’s get through what we know first. On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Sam Asghari has filed for divorce from his wife after 14 months of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and listing the date of separation as July 28th. The outlet also reports he moved out last week after a blowout fight after accusing Britney of cheating. That accusation could have to do with the ironclad prenup you may remember Octavia Spencer warned Britney to get, and Sam jokingly posted about protecting his assets. Now rumors are that he’s contesting the prenup, asking for spousal support and attorney fees or things could get ugly. As for Britney, Page Six has reported she’s hired celebrity powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser, who has repped Angelina Jolie, Hilary Duff and more. Britney was also seen driving without her wedding ring and posted to Instagram about horses — an unbothered queen. I’ve said it. We’ve all said it 1,000 times. Can people just leave Britney alone? Wishing her the best and hoping she can find good people for her life that don’t just want a piece of her.

Billboard’s Top 5 Songs of the Summer 2020 | Billboard News

Billboard looks back and counts down the top five songs that ruled the summer of 2020.

Rania Aniftos:
We’ve made it to 2020 — a new decade and a new taste in summer music. We’re gonna find out as we look into the top songs of the year. SAINt JHN kicks us off with his massive hit “Roses.”

This song is rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s seventh Hot 100 entry and it made it all the way to No. 4 in the summer of 2020. “Savage” had us feeling fierce all summer long.

Our third biggest song of the summer is an epic collaboration featuring Lil Wayne, DaBaby and Tory Lanez. Jack Harlow makes it to No. 3 with “What’s Poppin.”

For the No. 2 spot of 2020, professional hitmaker The Weeknd brings us yet another summer jam with “Blinding Lights.” Get this: It was the first song to hold a spot in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for an entire year.

Big year for DaBaby. He was not only featured on the No. 3 song, but also has the top summer song in 2020. “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Rich is No. 1.

Yo, that’s fire. This is great, this pillow love me too.

It was so loud when I met Billie Eilish — it was fire though. I was, like, jumping around and I messed up my little signature spin mive. But it was dope. It was dope, though, and you know, like, yeah, I can’t even. I got so many thoughts at once that like it was like I was telling Nicole, my tour manager, I was like, “I’m not really going to understand what’s about to happen until after it happens.” So we ran out there, I did it. I still get chills watching the video like here. “That’s me on that stage right there.”

I told Billie, I was like, “Yo, we’re gonna be the same festival we should play Uno together.” And she was like, “Yo, or crazy idea: You should come out on my set,” and like, yeah! Yeah, it just it literally just happened like that — same day. Like it was like, you know, it wasn’t like a pre-planned thing. We just did it on the fly.

I grew up listening to a lot of Eminem. He was just like the anti whatever rap said you was supposed to be. Missy Elliott the same, Busta Rhymes the same, Ludacris the same. Even when I grew up, it was like the Tyler, the Creators, B.O.Bs, the Childish Gambinos — it was just all of the things that did not make sense to whatever the definition of hip-hop was at the time. That’s what I always gravitated towards.
