Tetris Kelly:
We’re hanging out at KCON with brand new artist LEO. Man, welcome to L.A.! How’s it been treating you?

LEO:
Oh, thank you so much. It’s been good. It’s been chill. Yeah.

Tetris Kelly:
I’m glad it’s been chill, but it hasn’t been chill in your life. You recently joined 131 Label. I’ve been following your updates online. So tell me what the average day is like for you?

LEO:
Yeah, well, actually, we’ve been busy just making music and we’ve had a lot of sessions and obviously filmed a music video. Song’s just out a few days ago. It’s been pretty busy.

Tetris Kelly:
And I mean, you’ve traveled all the way from Australia to Korea to start your career. So what made you want to do that?

LEO:
Obviously, I was inspired a lot by Korean culture, Korean music and obviously, I love music too. So natural.

Tetris Kelly:
Oh, it’s natural! Well, what’s one word to describe LEO for those of you out there who want to get to know you?

LEO:
Shy?

Tetris Kelly:
Oh, he says he’s shy. We’ll find out about that. And then your new music. Tell me about your next single.

LEO:
Yes. “One Look” came out a few days ago. I’m very pleased for it to come out. And you know, a lot of people have been showing it a lot of love, so I’m very, very happy.

Tetris Kelly:
Who are some artists that inspire you?

LEO:
I think my favorite artists are Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bryson Tiller, just to name a few.

Tetris Kelly:
Well, Drake is playing at this arena, I think last week, so we’re sharing the Drake energy right now. You got to channel that.

LEO:
Yeah. Well, I went … I went actually, but yeah, it was amazing. Yeah.

Tetris Kelly:
That’s super awesome. And tell me what’s something you want to tell to your fans out there.

LEO:
Obviously, thank you for listening to “One Look,” showing it a lot of love and thank you for just supporting me, and can’t wait to see you guys on stage.

Tetris Kelly:
We’re excited for you. Thanks for hanging out with Billboard.

LEO:
Thank you so much.

Jon Batiste Reveals His Favorite New Orleans Slang | Billboard

Jon Batiste reveals his favorite New Orleans slang to Billboard.

Jon Batiste:
Hello, it’s Jon Batiste and this is my Favorite Slang from New Orleans.

“Wuzham, wodie?” “Wuzham?” is “What’s happening?” Was happening … wuz happenin … wuzham. You see the progression? Wuzham. Wuzham, wod.

Another one you might hear me say is, “Where y’at?” “Where are you at?” It’s, like, philosophical too. It’s like, “Where you at?” Like, not just “Where are you?” But just, like, “Where y’at?”

Ohhhh, this is like, it’s not really slang, but people say “Laissez les bons temps rouler.” People say it in New Orleans sometimes. Means “Let the good times roll.”

That is some of my favorite New Orleans favorite slang. Favorite ever!

Here Are 5 Things You Don’t Know About Tim McGraw | Billboard

Tim McGraw reveals five things you didn’t know about him to Billboard.

Tim McGraw:
Hi! I’m Tim McGraw, and here are five things you may not know about me.

I love potting flowers around my house. I spend each spring and each fall with all these terra-cotta pots we have around the house and I go to the plant nursery and buy all these flowers, and I plant all of them and spend the whole day doing it. It’s therapy. I love doing that.

And secondly, I’m a pilot. So I don’t know how many people know that.

Thirdly, one of my favorite things in the world to do is spear fish. Any chance I get to spear fish, I spear fish and I do it free dive with an old-fashioned pole spear. I haven’t been able to do it in a while, but that’s right at the top of my list and one of my favorite things to do.

I’m a crier. I cry at, like, bad commercials. I cry. I cry if I have to get up and speak and say something about anything or about talking about my kids or my wife. I’ll start crying. So I’m a I’m an easy crier.

Yacht rock. I am a huge yacht rock fan. I can sing every song when I listen to yacht rock. I’m a sucker for it. Hence, why I’m a crier.

Maluma Talks New Album ‘Don Juan,’ His Upcoming Tour, J Balvin & More | Billboard in Conversation

Maluma tells Billboard Latin Chief Content Officer Leila Cobo all about his new album ‘Don Juan,’ how it’s different from his last album, his upcoming tour, his collab with J Balvin, and more!

Maluma
I’m gonna let it grow a little bit more.

Leila Cobo
It looks cool.

Maluma
You approve it?

Leila Cobo
I think you look cute.

Maluma
Leila approve it, come on!

Leila Cobo
Mr. Maluma — hola, hi.

Maluma
Hola, hi, how are you? Como estas?

Leila Cobo
How many languages?

Leila Cobo
Let’s talk about ‘Don Juan.’

Maluma
Yeah.

Leila Cobo
I listened to the whole album.

Maluma
You listened to the whole album already?

Leila Cobo
I did.

Maluma
Oh, I love that.

Leila Cobo 0:43
So before I tell you what I think I want to ask you if you had to describe ‘Papi Juancho’ and ‘Don Juan’ each in like two words.

Maluma
Let’s say that ‘Don Juan’ is magical, ‘Papi Juancho’ I would say is emotional. When I was doing ‘Papi Juancho’ I was going through some emotional things that in every song like you can interpret, right? But then with ‘Don Juan’ it’s like, everything in one album. That’s where I would say that is magical. Because it’s fun. It’s modern, still very sentimental. That’s the vibe that I’m that I’m giving right now is music, to have fun and enjoy life. I’m so happy in my life right now. Leila, like you have no idea. Maybe you can tell. I feel so grateful every morning when I wake up that I just want to do positive things. Right now that’s ‘Don Juan,’ that’s the whole album.
