The Billboard Music Awards are set to deliver an entirely new award show concept. So how will it work? Instead of happening live in one place, the performances and award celebrations will take place at different locations across the globe and feel unique to each individual artist. This year’s BBMAs will also be bigger than ever. The BBMAs will unveil performances and winners across BBMAs and Billboard social channels. ENHYPEN sits down with Billboard News’ Tetris Kelly to talk about their new mini-album ‘Orange Blood,’ making their first songs in English, their collabs with Pokemon and Prada, being in the ‘Baby Shark’ movie, and more!

Hello, we are ENHYPEN, and this is Billboard News.
Tetris Kelly:
Hey, it’s Tetris with Billboard News and for the first time in our studio, I got my friends ENHYPEN. What’s up, guys? I am so happy to have you guys here finally. And I mean, I was at the show the other night, I had the time of my life. So tell me about your first time playing a stadium in the States. How did you feel?
ENHYPEN:
Yeah, first of all, I just want to say the energy was so amazing.
Tetris Kelly:
Well, you talked about their energy — your energy was crazy. There was so much dancing. I think Jungwon, one time you were like on the ground doing choreo and you looked at the camera and I was like, “How do you guys do all of this?” So how was it to concentrate on the dancing, the singing, the fans? How do you balance all of that?
ENHYPEN:
We can perform because of ENGENES’ cheers, ENGENES’ energy. I think we get used to it the more we do it. The cheers really pump us up, and the adrenaline rush keeps us going.
Tetris Kelly:
“Bite Me” towards the end of the show — I love seeing you guys perform that. So let’s talk about that single and how has it been to perform that for the ENGENES?
ENHYPEN:
The fans’ chants were mind-blowing. They were cheering so loudly.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing accusations of rape and physical abuse from his former partner Cassie. R&B singer Cassie has filed a lawsuit accusing hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of physical abuse and rape. Cassie, full name Cassandra Ventura, claims she endured over a decade of his violent behavior and disturbing demands, including repeated physical beatings and being forced to engage in sex acts with male sex workers while Diddy masturbated.

This is Billboard News for November 16th and I’m Tetris Kelly. One of our favorite new stars is on the cover of Billboard. We get “Greedy” with Tate McRae in our new profile.

I remember the day, I was on a walk with my mom and I remember I was like, oh my God, I’m No. 1 in like the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 chart. And I was like, this is the biggest day of my life.
When “you broke me first” hit No. 17, it’s pretty wild because I feel like I’ve just been watching my favorite artists of all time on that chart. And I think at first, I didn’t realize the capacity of what “you broke me first” had done until I actually like got to LA and realized that it had, you know, gotten to a specific spot and gotten that big.
When I wrote “you broke me first,” I was 16. I was like, I have to put this song out. I really want to. The first time I like filmed my first ever like legit music video was with my friend back in Calgary on Video Star on my phone. It’s only two passes of the entire music video. It’s so crazy. It has like so many views now and it’s so strange to just look back and see that it was literally made on an iPhone.

Lil Mabu and Chrisean Rock’s “Mr. Take Your B*tch” drops to No. 2, while Aliyah’s Interlude “It Girl – Sped Up Version” rises to the No. 3 spot on the list.

Mitski returns to No. 1 and Mariah Carey breaks into the top 10. Mitski’s “My Love Mine All Mine” returns to No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 posted November 16th. It’s the song’s fourth week atop the chart and users are clearly resonating with the track.
Lil Mabu and Chrisean Rock “Mr. Take Your B*tch” drops to No. 2, while Aliyah’s Interlude, “It Girl – Sped Up Version” rises to the No. 3 spot. Ice Spice and Bad Bunny are reaching new heights with “Deli” at No. 4 and “Monaco” sitting at No. 5. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” jumps from No. 11 to No. 6 after debuting on last week’s chart as users get into the holiday experience.

Billboard takes a look back at when musical legend Elvis Presley and longtime friend and collaborator Otis Blackwell penned the 1957 musical hit “All Shook Up” inspired by shaking a can of Pepsi.

Elvis Presley, one of the biggest names in music history. But did you know that one of the King of Rock’s biggest hits might have been inspired by a can of Pepsi? We take you to that moment in this week’s Pop Culture Rewind.
Elvis remains one of the greatest cultural icons. His 1950s hits like “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Hound Dog” were a call to a generation of guitar slingers.
He racked up seven No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, but one of his most recognizable tunes may have been inspired by one of our favorite beverages. The 1957 hit “All Shook Up” was written by Elvis and longtime collaborator Otis Blackwell. Sourced from the Encyclopedia of Great Popular Song Recordings, Blackwell’s friend Al Stanson shook a bottle of Pepsi, which inspired Blackwell to pen the track.
We’re gonna crack open a cold one and listen to some Elvis with that story to tell. We’ll have another huge moment for you next week in our Pop Culture Rewind.

Billboard announces Tate McRae will be performing at the Billboard Music Awards 2023. Billboard runs through some of her biggest chart highlights.

It’s so wild. Every time I open my phone and I see Billboard posts, it’s still very crazy to see my name up there.
Tetris Kelly:
Tate McRae is making a name for herself on the Billboard charts with top hits on the Dance/Electronic chart.
The Canadian singer and dancer is a BBMA finalist and performer at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Some of her biggest accomplishments include seven Hot 100 hits. “You” with Regard and Troye Sivan peaked at No. 1 for eight weeks on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Seven total charted songs on Pop Airplay, including “You Broke Me First,” which reached No. 2 in 2021.
Tate McRae is up for one Billboard Music Award, top dance/electronic song for “10:35.”
And we can’t forget her highest charting hit to date. Her song “Greedy” has had success, including peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. It became her highest career debut when it opened at No. 33. It’s her second top 20 on the Hot 100, following “You Broke Me First,” which reached No. 17 in 2021. And the song has also reached the top 20 on Pop Airplay.
Tate McRae is finding success on the Billboard charts, and her performance at this year’s BBMAs is sure to bring her star power even higher.

Colombian legacy artist, Fonseca talks about his multi-decade career, finding his balance and joy and continuing to serve fans through his music, presented by Michelob ULTRA
Fonseca:
My name is Juan Fernando Fonseca. Since I was born and since I arrived to this world music and singing have always been an essential part of my life. In the most natural and naive way, you could say, I was watching television and I had the guitar next to me. I already knew some chords. And I started just playing whatever and a melody started arriving and there is when I wrote the lyrics to a song called “The Television”.
The lyrics were about what I was seeing on TV in that moment. I was watching the news and well, it was a difficult time in Colombia so the news was not the kindest and the song talks about that too. I’ve always thought that that moment in particular writing “The Television” was a decisive moment in my life. I had this sudden motivation where I said, “I want to make a CD.” So I made a budget and presented it to my parents and they supported me. I recorded that first album on tape. I made 500 copies. I literally sold them from house to house. That CD lead me to signing with a Venezuelan record company where I started my professional career. I was driving one day in Bogotá and I heard “Te Mando Flores” for the first time on the radio. And when I heard it for the first time on the radio was when I connected and said, ‘this is a big song’. I felt something very special and from then on my life changed.
That balance is very important. The balance of work, family, health. Physical health. It’s very important. I think one understands it more and more. Every concert is also like a two-hour training session. So yeah, I try to balance it all so that everything functions well.
I’m in a very nice place personally, let’s say, because as a result of this song “Si Tú Me Quieres” with Juan Luis Guerra, I have found a new sonic path that I want to continue on for a while.
