A woman lost her life while trying to access a clothing donation box in California this week, authorities said. According to The Los Angeles Times, police found the unnamed woman dead and partially trapped in the door of a clothing donation box in suburban Los Angeles early Thursday.

Authorities reportedly arrived at the scene in L.A.’s Santa Clarita area at about 9:58 a.m. and found the 61-year-old victim, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The report said the woman’s “upper body” had gotten trapped in the door of a metal donation box. Lieutenant Dan Wolanski of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to the publication that the woman was declared dead at the scene.

“She had crawled up there,” he said. “I don’t know if she lost an item in the bin or not, but she was reaching in there when she got trapped.”

Woman’s Death Still Being Investigated, Likely “Accidental”

Details surrounding the circumstances of the woman’s death and what she was at the donation box are currently sparse. Reportedly the Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the circumstances of the woman’s death and don’t know how long she had been there until she was found.

The timing of how long the woman had been trapped in the box has not been confirmed, KTTV reported. Police who did not release the victim’s name, said there were no signs of foul play and no suspects have been named, according to KTLA-TV.

So far, this tragedy is being handled as an accidental death investigation, according to reports.

While the Bey Hive still has ‘Renaissance’ on replay, 90’s music duo Right Said Fred is calling Beyoncé out for allegedly sampling one of their songs without permission. The brothers, born Fred and Richard Fairbrass spoke to The Sun, and called Bey “arrogant” for sampling their 1992 single ‘I’m Too Sexy’ on her track ‘Alien Superstar.’

Normally the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person. She just had probably thought ‘come and get me’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did. But everyone else, Drake and Taylor Swift, they came to us.”

The 90’s hit has been sampled by many big artists, including Drake, who used the track in his 2021 song ‘Way 2 Sexy’.

To use our melody they need our permission so they send us the demo and we approve it and if so we get a co-write credit. With this Beyoncé thing there are 22 writers it’s ridiculous so we would get about 40 [pounds].”

The duo explained the small cut of profits saying, “The reason that is happening we think is because there is so little money now in the actual sales people like friends, golfing partners, engineers, bookers and the guy who brings the coke, they all want a cut.”

Additionally, the British pair told The Sun they believe they are “powerless” compared to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who are worth a combined $1.5 billion.

On an episode of the new docuseries ‘The Impact ATL’ which she stars in alongside Jayda Cheaves, Arrogant Tae, Lakeyah, and Dess Dior she got real. The Chicago Native explained that she lost access to her Instagram page and lost a big bag from the lingerie company over negative Domestic Violence comments. 

If you recall, in January, Ari faced backlash after appearing on an episode of Mona’s podcast, “Don’t Call Me White Girl.” On the podcast, she discussed her relationship with Moneybagg Yo. She jokingly said that she likes for her man to pull a gun out on her to “tame her” when she’s upset. Following the interview, many were upset with Ari, however, her approach to the criticism didn’t come with an apology. 

The influencer hopped on Instagram live and clapped back while bashing domestic violence victims. “Two, y’all are in the comments, like ‘oh when I was in a relationship this boy’…nobody cares, nobody cares, nobody cares,” Ari said. “Nobody cares about what happened to you, what trauma you…nobody cares. You trying to victimize yourself…”

The influencer admitted the comments resulted in her being dropped from Rihanna’s company and losing out on $150,000. She explained it was a good lesson for her and needed it. Ari added that she knows that she can’t always depend on other brands and needed to have her own products to  promote. It looks like the situation may have allowed her to focus on her cosmetic line, Remedy By Ari.

The company recently released a line of lip glosses, eyeshadows and other products.

Back in March, tragedy struck at Orlando’s Icon Park after 14-year-old Tyre Sampson suffered a fatal fall from the amusement park’s FreeFall ride. Months later, the theme park has announced that the ride will be taken down, per the request of Tyre’s family.

Slingshot CEO Ritchie Armstrong revealed the news in an official statement on ICON Park’s website.

We are devastated by Tyre’s death. We have listened to the wishes of Tyre’s family and the community, and have made the decision to take down the FreeFall.”

Armstrong also revealed that the company plans to create a scholarship in Tyre’s name.

In addition, Orlando Slingshot will honor Tyre and his legacy in the classroom and on the football field by creating a scholarship in his name.”

The statement continued saying,”Details of the scholarship are being developed and further information will be shared in the future after consultation with the family of Tye.” Similarly, details surrounding the timeline for when the ride would be taken down are scare, and reportedly depend on “approvals from all parties involved as well as regulatory entities.”

Tyre’s death is a tragedy that we will never forget. As the landlord, ICON Park welcomes and appreciated Orlando Slingshot’s decision to take down the ride.”

As we previously reported, Tyre Sampson slipped from the restraints of the FreeFall ride on March 24th, and was unfortunately pronounced dead at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The incident garnered national attention after video of Tyre’s fall started making its rounds on social media.

Following Tyre’s unfortunate passing, the FreeFall ride and the Orlando Slingshot were shut down. Tyre mother Nekia Dodd has repeatedly asked. that the ride be torn down, saying the ride was a “monument to this preventable tragedy.”

The ride’s mere existence is an insult to the memory of my son and makes each say since he was killed even more impossible for those of us who lived Tyre every day of his life.”

An investigation into accident revealed that sensors on the FreeFall were adjusted to make the ride’s restraints open wider, ultimately making the attraction “unsafe,” according to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The FDAC also found that the ride maximum weight limit was 287 pounds, and Tyre of 380 pounds at the time.

Tyre’s family has also filed a lawsuit against Orlando Slingshot, ICON Park and the ride’s manufacturers.

President Joe Biden announced he will be pardoning all federal offenses of simple marijuana possession on Thursday, in what amounts to be the first major step towards nationwide decriminalization.

The move fulfills a campaign pledge Biden made to erase any prior federal possession convictions, and will affect thousands of Americans charged with the crime, according to senior administration officials.

In a speech announcing the executive action, Biden noted that marijuana is already legal in many states, and noted “criminal records for marijuana possession have led to needless barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities.”

“No one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana,” Biden said. “It’s legal in many states, and criminal records for marijuana possession have led to needless barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities.

The president also spoke of the racial disparity when it comes to marijuana possession charges, added that “Black and brown people are arrested… and convicted at disproportionate rates.”

“And that’s before you address the racial disparities around who suffers the consequences. While white and Black and brown people use marijuana at similar rates, Black and brown people are arrested, prosecuted, and convicted at disproportionate rates.”

In April, the House has officially passed the MORE act, which would legalize marijuana nationwide, The Shade Room previously reported.

The bill eliminates criminal penalties for anyone who manufactures, distributes, or possesses the substance. According to CNN, the bill was sponsored by Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York. In addition to decriminalizing, it will prevent federal agencies from denying federal workers security clearances for cannabis use.

Biden went on to encourage governors to follow the lead and similarly pardon state simple marijuana possession charges, which would increase the amount of Americans affected by such crimes.

The Department of Health and Human Services and Attorney General Merrick Garland will be tasked with “expeditiously” reviewing how the drug is scheduled under federal law in a larger effort towards easing federal classification standards.

Biden’s announcement comes just a month before pivotal November midterm elections, which will determine who will control Congress.

Rich Boy, the rapper best known for his 2006 hit song “Throw Some D’s,” has been arrested for allegedly beating up his parents.

The rapper, who’s real name is Marece Benjamin Richards, was booked into the Mobile jail last Friday (September 30), local news outlet AL.com reports.

Rich Boy was arrested on two charges of third-degree domestic violence, with one specifying harassment and the other concerning assault, the news outlet reports. According to ABC 15 News.

As Brittney Griner prepares for her appeal hearing later this month, her wife Cherelle Griner sat down for her first interview since Brittney was sentenced to nine years in a Russian prison for attempted drug smuggling.

During her interview with Gayle King for CBS News, Cherelle shared that she has spoken to Brittney two times on the phone since she’s been locked up in Russia. She says during the first phone call she was delighted to hear Brittney’s voice and thought Brittney was okay. However, she says after the second phone call with Brittney, that became the “most disturbing” phone call she has experienced. Cherelle continued to share that she could tell that Brittney had suffered to the maximum that particular day.

While expressing that she could see that Brittney is not herself at the moment, she shared that Brittney said to her, “My life just don’t even matter no more. I feel like my life just doesn’t matter.”

Gayle King noted that Cherelle hopes a prisoner swap can take place before Brittney’s appeal hearing on October 25th. She expressed her concerns that once the hearing is held, and the order is finalized Brittney could be in the position where she is moved to a labor camp.

Looks like Eric Weinberg will be trading in his scrubs for an orange jumpsuit. The executive producer and writer for hit TV show ‘Scrubs’ has been charged with 18 counts of sexual assault for allegedly luring women to photo shoots before engaging in non-consensual sexual acts.

According to NPR, Weinberg was arrested Tuesday on felony counts including rape, oral copulation, forcible sexual penetration, sexual battery by restraint, false imprisonment by use of violence, assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury and attempted forcible penetration with a foreign object, the Los Angeles DA’s office reports.

District Attorney George Gascón revealed that Weinberg allegedly assaulted five women between 2014 and 2019, but investigators reportedly believe there may be other victims dating back to the 1990s. Gascón spoke on the crimes at a news conference.

The defendant relied on his Hollywood credentials to lure young women for photo shoots where he allegedly sexually assaulted them. Power and influence can corrupt some to hurt others that often leads to a lifetime of trauma for those who are victimized.”

Weinberg allegedly walked up to two women in 2014, claiming he was a photographer. The women agrred to go to his home, where he allegedly sexually assaulted them. Just three years later, Weinberg reportedly “used the same ruse to bring a young woman back to his house where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.” The D.A. alleged he “also is accused of sexually assaulting two women in separate incidents in 2018 and 2019.”

Civil rights attorney Micha Star Liberty, who is representing multiple victims of Weinberg, spoke out about their resilience in a statement to PEOPLE.

I have the honor of representing a group of strong, talented, fearless women who have suffered enormous trauma at the hands of a rich and powerful perpetrator. Their collective search for justice and accountability starts with the alleged actions of Eric Weinberg, but will not be complete until his enablers and those [who] covered up his abuse are held responsible as well.”

Weinberg was released from custody on Tuesday on $5 million bond. His arraignment has been scheduled for October 25th.

Anti-abortion Republican senatorial candidate Herschel Walker allegedly urged the mother of his child to get an abortion during a separate pregnancy, after the NFL legend initially tried to deny he knew who the woman in question was.

The mother of Walker’s child, who has not yet been named over privacy and safety concerns, revealed that he was in full-support of her getting an abortion when the child from another pregnancy was his, according to a bombshell report by The Daily Beast.

Walker Attempts To Deny Accusations That He Urged Woman Pregnant With His Child To Get Abortion

On Wednesday, Walker attempted to categorically deny the story, and said he didn’t know who was making this allegation in an interview Fox News host Brian Kilmeade, who asked Walker whether he had figured out the woman’s identity based on details in the original report.

“Not at all,” Walker replied. “And that’s what I hope everyone can see. It’s sort of like everyone is anonymous, or everyone is leaking, and they want you to confess to something you have no clue about.”

The 60-year-old then tried to spin the report as a politically-motivated attack from “desperate” Democrats, intent on maintaining control of the crucial Georgia Senate seat he’s currently vying for.

“They see me as a big threat, and I know that and I knew it when I got into this race. But they don’t realize that I think they came for the wrong one. They energized me,” Walker said. “They energized me, because I know how they really want to try to keep this seat.”

The woman in question called Herschel’s defense ridiculous and said she was “stunned” at his response, but also not totally shocked, adding he may have “really forget about it,” but “that says something (about him), too.”

The Daily Beast reports that the woman is a registered Democrat who continued a years-long relationship with Walker even after the abortion.

She told the outlet that her main concerns with revealing her identity was that she is the mother to one of Walker’s children, and intended on protecting her family’s privacy while at the same time speaking her truth.

Walker has publicly acknowledged that the child is his, and the woman provided enough credible evidence to The Daily Beast to prove she is the child’s mother, according to the outlet.

Walker and his campaign reportedly declined to comment on The Daily Beast’s article.

One of Walker’s three sons, conservative social media influencer Christian Walker, has since released a series of videos and statements calling his father a liar, and even claimed the University of Georgia football star and legendary NFL running back had threatened to murder him and his mother – Walker’s ex-wife.

Meanwhile, the anonymous woman cited in The Daily Beast’s report said she has remained a “good sport” about Herschel’s senatorial campaign, but added she could no longer keep quiet about this issue.

Walker put out a new ad on Wednesday where he revealed his struggles with mental health, “by the grace of God,” he added.

In a June interview with The Daily Beast, Walker lied about his role in abortions, and was caught doing the same again when speaking on video to a Democratic activist posing as one of his supporters.
