Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill are going their separate ways after two years of marriage. Early this week, fans began anticipating a divorce announcement when Cynthia removed Hill from her Instagram bio, and both of them neglected to share celebratory posts about their wedding anniversary.

Mike added fuel to the internet talks when a video surfaced of a female dancer using him as a human pole. One day later, the couple confirmed their split to Entertainment Tonight in a joint statement.

And from the sounds of it, Cynthia and Mike are taking the Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict route–playing nice amid a difficult transition.

“LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways,” Cynthia and Mike said. “No one is to blame, and we are grateful that we remain good friends.”

Source Says Marital Issues Have Been Brewing For A Hot Minute

Cynthia and Mike were first linked in 2018– about two years after her divorce from Peter Thomas, per ET. After confirming the relationship, Cynthia told Bravo if things didn’t work out with Mike, she was meant “to be single for the rest of her life.” But after about14 months of dating, Mike popped the question!

They married in October 2020 in a Georgia wedding featuring 250 guests. However, the lavish celebration received backlash for its size during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

About a year later, the couple faced cheating allegations when a Twitter user accused Mike of sending nudes on Snapchat. Cynthia called the rumors “very annoying,” Mike added that the talks were “stupid” in a street interview with TMZ.

But in today’s report by Entertainment Tonight, a source alleges that the couple’s split has been a long time coming.

“Cynthia and Mike have been having issues for a while and tried working on things but weren’t able to come to a resolution. The two have been busy with work and it wasn’t easy on their relationship,” the source said.

Cynthia And Mike Share Amicable Words About Each Other

According to PEOPLE, Cynthia reportedly already filed for divorce. Both parties offered independent statements to the publication about their split. Despite their end, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star believes Mike was meant to come into her life and that she will find love again.

“God does not make mistakes! I truly believe in my heart Mike coming into my life was destiny. I jumped in, both feet first and gave it my all,” she said. The reality TV star added, “I am so grateful for our continued friendship, and the beautiful memories that we made together. God willing, I will find love again. Whatever is destined to be, will be; and I could not be more excited for my next chapter!”

Mike also spoke lovingly of the relationship in a statement to PEOPLE. Like his soon-to-be ex-wife, he expressed gratitude for their “rock solid” friendship. However, his statement echoed what ET‘s source said about long-standing issues.

“I love Cynthia and will always love her because she is a phenomenal woman and a beautiful person,” Mike said. He added, “Honestly, we’ve been thinking about going our separate wats for the last few months, so it was good for us to have that time to process it all privately and I can smile knowing she’ll always be there for me as I will be there for her.”

Photos of a Black man went viral after he was neglected and left for dead in an Alabama prison. Kastellio Vaughan was exposed to deplorable conditions, and lost almost 75 pounds due to infection following a surgery he received at the Elmore Correctional Facility medical center.

Vaughan’s family claims that they received calls and photos from another inmate who was concerned about his rapidly declining health condition.

They immediately began contacting the prison with their concerns. In a recent statement, the Department of Corrections claimed that Vaughan refused medical attention and medication which led to his rapid decline.

However, the Vaughan family insists that Kastellio’s constitutional rights were violated and that the prison should be held accountable. They’ve also hired a lawyer and are taking legal action.

Vaughan was sentenced to 25 years in prison for unlawful breaking and entering and first-degree robbery, but his family says that’s no excuse for the deplorable conditions and treatment he’s received at Elmore Correctional Facility.

In August, Vaughan got part of his small intestine removed, but less than 30 days later, he was overtaken by infection. He went from a normal 200 pounds to a shocking 75 pounds.

Viral Social Media Post From Inmate’s Sister Shed Light On Horrifying Health Conditions, Lack Of Care

His sister, Kassie Vaughan, posted photos of her incarcerated brother on Facebook, showing him completely malnourished and unable to walk or stand on his own.

That post ended up going viral, receiving nearly 20,000 retweets and nearly 8,000 likes as of this article’s publication.

“They just had him there sitting in general population,” Kassie told TSR Investigates’ Justin Carter. “And he’s looking like a zombie.”

In early August, Vaughan reportedly called his family weeks before the surgery complaining about stomach issues.

Days later, they got a call from another inmate to let them know their older brother had been taken into surgery at the prison’s medical facility.

Viral Social Media Post Draws Attention Of Renowned Defense Attorneys Ben Crump, Lee Merritt

The surgery stemmed from complications arising from a gunshot wound Vaughan had suffered years back.

But things quickly took a turn for the worst post-operation, and the family took to social media and caught the attention of renowned defense attorneys Ben Crump and Lee Merritt.

“Those pictures are very alarming,” Merritt told The Shade Room. “Those pictures reveal someone who is obviously in crisis and who was in need of immediate medical attention. Since he returned to custody, the infection that he suffered, his inability to consume food, rapid deterioration, loss of body weight.”

Merritt is now one of the lead attorneys on the case, saying “he had repeatedly requested for help, medication, feeding intravenously, any kind of help he would have received he wouldn’t have turned down.”

Department Of Corrections Claims Vaughan Refused Followup Care, Family Calls It A Lie

The Alabama Department of Corrections attempted to change the narrative and sent out a media advisory late last month claiming Vaughan had refused followup medical attention and “opted to be discharged against medical advice on August 10.”

The press release, which stated Vaughan had been readmitted several times for complications following the surgery, also said he signed a waiver to release his medical history, to which his sister said was a complete lie.

“Wow. THIS IS A LIE! Alabama Department of Corrections you all have now violated my brother Hippa Violations. He never signed any waiver. If that’s the case he would have let me get his medical reports/history. He is not in the correct mental state to sign anything.”

The department went on to say that they “offer medical assessment and treatment to all inmates but does not force them to accept treatment.

The prison system in Alabama has been under scrutiny for years now. The Shade Room obtained court documents from 2019 that showed the Department of Justice sued the Alabama Department of Corrections for allegedly violating the U.S constitution.

“Alabama’s prisons for men have remained extremely overcrowded, (and) prisoner-on-prisoner homicides… and sexual abuse have increased,” the lawsuit reads. “The physical facilities have remained inadequate, use of excessive force by security staff remains common.”

And it’s not just Elmore either. An hour away at the Bullock County Correctional facility, video shows inmates languishing in similarly dilapidated conditions.

Prisoners across the state have started a strike on their prison jobs in an effort to bring about change to the Alabama prison system.

A GoFundMe has since been organized by Vaughan’s sister, which has raised $52,583 out of an initial goal of just $12,000. Those wishing to donate can do so here.

For the first time, President Joe Biden responded to reports that federal prosecutors might have enough evidence to charge his son Hunter Biden for tax crimes and perjury after he lied about his history of drug abuse during a gun purchase.

Hunter Biden bought the gun during a time when he has publicly acknowledged he was struggling with an addiction to crack cocaine, and now is under investigation because federal law requires gun buyers to swear that they are addicted to drugs, according to CNN.

President Biden Says He’s “Proud Of Son” For Overcoming, Battling Drug Addiction In Light Of Possible Charges Against Hunter

In an interview with the network’s Jake Tapper, the President said he was proud of his son for confronting and overcoming his battle with addiction, and “establishing a new life.”

“This is a kid who got – not a kid, he’s a grown man – he got hooked on, like many families have had happen, hooked on drugs. He’s overcome that. He’s established a new life,” Biden said.

The President went on to say that Hunter’s 2021 memoir “Beautiful Things,” telling Tapper he was “proud of him.”

“I’m confident that he is – what he says and does are consistent with what happens,” the President said. “And for example, he wrote a book about his problems and was straightforward about it. I’m proud of him.”

President Biden specifically spoke on the gun purchase incident, saying “didn’t know anything about it.”

“This thing about a gun – I didn’t know anything about it. But turns out that when he made application to purchase a gun, what happened was he – I guess you get asked – I don’t guess, you get asked a question, are you on drugs, or do use drugs?’ He said no. And he wrote about saying no in his book,” Biden said.

However, Biden said he had “great confidence in (his) son,” and that “he’s on the straight and narrow and has been for a couple of years now.”

“So, I have great confidence in my son,” he went on. “I love him and he’s on the straight and narrow, and he has been for a couple years now. And I’m just so proud of him.”

FBI, IRS, Justice Department, Federal Prosecutors Building Case Against Hunter Biden

The FBI, IRS, the Department of Justice and prosecutors in Delaware have reportedly all gathered their resources in building a case against the president’s 52-year-old son, the outlet previously reported.

Amongst discussions between the agencies have included the strength of the case and whether more work was necessary before following through on charging the president’s son.

Over the summer, The Shade Room reported on several damning reports that had been gleaned from Hunter Biden’s stolen/missing laptop.

In mid-July, Hunter Biden was of the highest trending topics on Twitter amidst reports that his iCloud was allegedly hacked by an anonymous source, per The Shade Room.

A video of Hunter began making its rounds on social media, in which he was allegedly seen weighing a large amount of crack cocaine. Some critics also allege he was speaking with a prostitute, which has yet to be confirmed.

According to Vice News, the leak of Hunter’s iPhone data went viral on a platform called 4chan, where an anonymous user claimed to have hacked his iCloud backup. The user alleges to have found all sorts of sensitive information about Hunter and his father Joe Biden.

Hunter allegedly spent over $30,000 on escorts, the majority of whom used “.ru” Russian email addresses and who worked at an “exclusive model agency” called UberGFE during a nearly four month period between November 2018 and March 2019, the outlet reports.

Shay Johnson and Bambi exchanged heated words on social media on Tuesday (October 11) after a new episode of Love & Hip Hop ATL aired.

During the episode, Bambi is seen talking to Sierra Gates about the strained relationship with her mother-in-law Momma Dee. She tells Sierra that Lil Scrappy wants her to make peace with his mother.

However, after years of insults and disagreements, Bambi isn’t jumping at the proposal. Instead, Bambi mentions that Momma Dee’s foul behavior includes publicly supporting Scrappy’s former flames.

“But [Momma Dee’s] never going to stop. Even right now, you see her posting b****es [Lil Scrappy] use to f**k with,” Bambi told Sierra. In a confessional video, Bambi added “Momma Dee just posted a video of Scrap’s old side chick Shay, congratulating this lady on her baby and she’s talking ’bout she’s going to be the god-grandmother or some sh*t. And now, you got people on the internet assuming that the baby is gonna be Scrap’s.”

Well, it’s obvious Shay caught the reality show’s latest episode! She took to Instagram with a throwback clip and a clarification of her former association with Scrappy and current relationship with his mama. The clip shows Erica Dixon, the mother of Scrappy’s eldest daughter, confronting Bambi for sleeping with him during their engagement.

“I wouldn’t have anything to say if the petty sh*t about me wasn’t aired LAST NIGHT on national television. I mind my business and stay out of family sh*t that’s not my place,” Shay wrote in the caption. “I’ve made this clear to @tharealmommadee as well but to go on tv to call me a side chick was petty so just to be clear Lol I was NEVER a side chick for no man.”

Bambi Accuses Shay Of Using Scrappy For A Storyline; Shay Calls Her A “Groupie Turned Wife”

Not long after Shay posted her clap back, Bambi got things popping in the comment section. She blasted Shay with accusations of using her husband as a storyline for the show.

“You were quick to defend yourself for being a “side chick,” but crickets when y’all were insinuating my husband was your baby daddy for ya storyline,” Bambi wrote. “Honestly. all this is cap–including this clip. We both know that engagement ended right after that reunion. If you gonna use Erica for a fact bible post the clip where she called you the family pet, is that one fact also?”

Once again, Shay caught Bambi’s shade and launched it right back with a comment section clapback. Shay tagged Bambi, saying Bam allowed the public’s comments to piss her off, even though she never explicitly said Scrappy was her child’s father.

The reality star added that the identity of her daughter’s father is nobody’s business but that she will choose when and how to reveal him to the world.

“As far as a storyline, you were talking about me last night I never mentioned you at all on the show. Tuesday night, former San Antonio officer James Brennand turned himself in to officials after it was announced he is facing two counts of aggravated assault by a public servant for the October 2nd shooting of 17-year-old Erik Cantu, who is now on life support.

According to CNN, Police Chief William McManus announced that there was an aggravated assault charge filed for each person who was in the car. As previously reported, Cantu was in the driver’s seat the night of the incident, and there was also a passenger as well, but that person was not injured.

McManus said the shooting was “unjustified both administratively and criminally.” He continued to say,

“We worked on this for several days to get to this point where we could submit a warrant to a judge for signature, and that’s where we are right now.”

McManus previously stated that the aggravated assault charges could increase to homicide if Cantu does not survive.

Brennand, who was on the police force for seven months, was terminated after body camera footage showed him approaching the vehicle and opening up the door as he ordered Cantu to get out of the car. As Cantu placed the car in reverse, Brennand opened fire five times on the car and fired an additional five times as the car drove away.

McManus spoke about arriving at the scene and seeing the location of the bullet holes. He said,

“When I saw it, the location of the bullet holes, I had an issue with it right away. You can tell by looking at the vehicles, which way the vehicle is moving when the shots are fired, and this vehicle, it was very telling to me, that this vehicle was moving away from the officer, and moving parallel with the officer, so it was pretty clear to me at that point that we were going to have an issue.”

As previously mentioned, Brennand reportedly believed the car Cantu had been driving was stolen and he called for backup. However, he approached the vehicle before his backup arrived. It was mentioned that Brennand noticed the vehicle that had evaded him the day prior as he attempted to stop the car because the registered license plate did not match the actual vehicle.

At the time of the incident he was responding to a unrelated disturbance call that did not involve the car Cantu had been driving in that night.

In the wake of 15-year-old Jaheim McMillan being killed by a Gulfport, MS, police officer, Police Chief Adam Cooper held a press conference and gave a more detailed account of what happened on Thursday, October 6th.

Cooper says that McMillan was “armed” and ignored an order to drop his weapon.

“One of the officers observed McMillan, who was armed. The officer gave orders for him to stop and drop his weapon–McMillan did not comply.

Cooper continued:

McMillan turned both his body and his towards the officer. The officer fired at McMillan. McMillan was struck by the bullet and fell.

The police chief also stated that the case is now in the hands of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and footage will be released once it is complete.

Eye Witness Says Teen Allegedly Had Hands Up

H[is] hands were all the way up. He was scared out of his mind.

The anonymous witness, who was inside of the store during the incident, continued to say:

From where I was standing, I looked up, and Jaheim was moving in a slow motion by the door of the store; then boom, I saw at least five shots go towards this boy’s direction.

Continuing to detail what happened inside of the store, the witness said:

The bullets were hitting all of the store windows and door, and it caught everybody’s attention. I just saw his body drop, and my heart just broke.

The witness also says they didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting, which supports another eye witness’s account who also said she didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting.

He was unarmed from every spot that I saw on him. They continued saying, It was traumatizing knowing that was a child.

Events That Led Up To The Shooting

According to court documents obtained by WLOX, Jaheim McMillan and four other teens were approached by a police officer on Thursday, October 6th, after a call came in and stated a Kia Soul was driving recklessly, rolled down their window, and was “flipping them off.”

The documents also state that “the caller and his passenger said they saw the right rear passenger in the Kia Soul brandished a firearm” at a red light and also put on a “camouflage ski mask” and pointed a gun at them. Eventually, the caller was able to lose the Kia Soul.

Shortly after, police spotted a Kia Soul that matched the description made by the caller in the parking lot of a Family Dollar.

According to police, an officer approached an “armed” suspect, McMillan, which led to shots fired by the officer. McMillan was shot in the head and rushed to Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

It’s also reported that no first aid was rendered to McMillan as he lay on the ground bleeding.

Lizzo is no stranger to critiques about appeasing white people. The way the star tells it to Vanity Fair–she’s heard it before. At her predominantly Black school, kids associated her membership in a rock band and flowery bell bottoms with “acting like a white girl.”

And even with her Grammys, Emmy, NAACP, BET, and Soul Train awards in tow, the 34-year-old singer is still hearing it! Lizzo tells Vanity Fair in a recent interview that “the biggest criticism” people give her is that she makes music for white people.

“When Black people see a lot of white people in the audience, they think, Well this isn’t for me, this is for them. The thing is, when a Black artist reaches a certain level of popularity, it’s going to be a predominantly white crowd,” Lizzo said.

The Bigger The Fame, The Whiter The Crowd? Lizzo Thinks So! 

Lizzo recalled being surprised at the white audiences filling venues for Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Tina Turner. She also name-dropped Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, and Beyoncé as examples of Black artists who have reached the level of fame at which large white audiences are the norm.

She says that even rap artists are starting to pack arenas with “overwhelmingly white” audiences. But her perspective as a Black woman is what inspires her music; the artist told Lisa Robinson–regardless of who’s buying her tickets.

“I am not making music for white people. I am a Black woman, I am making music from my Black experience, for me to heal myself [from] the experience we call life. If I can help other people, hell yeah. Because we are the most marginalized and neglected people in this country. We need self-love and self-love anthems more than anybody.

”

She added, “So am I making music for that girl right there who looks like me, who grew up in a city where she was underappreciated and picked on and made to feel unbeautiful? Yes. It blows my mind when people say I’m not making music from a Black perspective—how could I not do that as a Black artist?

Lizzo says the criticisms bothered her until she met Black women who felt seen and inspired by her music. In her words, she can “relax and have a cocktail” because she’s comfortable in the direction she’s moving in with her music. The more mainstream she goes, the more she finds those who relate!

And What About Her Bae? Still Together & In Love!

Lizzo isn’t the one to dish much on her relationship. As she told Vanity Fair, her dating life becoming “news” was bizarre, and she remains determined to keep most of her life private. But still, the artist gave a rundown on how things are going between them and if marriage is in their plans.

“I’ve known him for over six years,” she said. “He’s everything. We’re just in love. And that’s it.”

While she may be in love and not looking elsewhere, she isn’t necessarily guiding the relationship toward marriage.

“People fight for monogamy like they pray to it every day. I am not a polyamorous person, I’m not in love with multiple partners. That is not me. He’s the love of my life. We are life mates,” Lizzo. Do I want to get married? If I wanted to start a business with him, I’d get married because that’s when your finances come together. I like weddings. I would like to have a wedding over a marriage.”

An elderly California woman was mauled to death by two dogs during her morning walk in the latest incident amongst a string of deadly dog attacks throughout the country in recent months.

Soon Han, 80, found dead on the side of the road after taking a stroll in the Baldy Mesa area of the Mojave Desert on Friday Morning, when she was attacked by two Dogo Argentinos, according to ABC 7.

Dogs Responsible For Deadly Attack Have Been Captured After Leaving Her Lifeless Body On Side Of Road

The breed of canine responsible for the fatal attack is among several breeds that are banned in the likes of New Zealand, the UK, and Denmark amongst other countries.

The dogs were eventually captured and have since been taken to a shelter pending a dangerous animals hearing, the outlet reports.

Han “suffered major injuries during the attack and was pronounced dead at the scene, per the San Bernardino County coroner.

The dog owner was located and is cooperating with the investigation, according to authorities.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Humane Society of the United States, there are about 4.7 million dog bites every year in the U.S. These bites result in approximately 16 fatalities.

Dogos Argentino is a large, white, muscular breed of dog that was developed in Argentina primarily for the purpose of big-game hunting, including wild boars and pumas.

The deadly dog attack is the third of its kind to occur in the United States over the last several weeks.

Last month, an 89-year-old woman was killed by her family’s two pitbulls in Golden, Colorado, while her 12-year-old grandson was left severely injured.

Officers used tasers and non-lethal shotguns in that incident in an effort to scare the canines away from her, but were unable to do so until more units arrived on scene.

Last week, two young children were killed when their family’s two pitbulls attached them and their mother, despite having owned the dogs for eight years.

Two toddlers were mauled to death by the family’s pet pit bulls in Shelby County, Tennessee.

Two-year-old Lilly Bennard and five-month-old Hollace died after the attack in Memphis, Tennessee.

Their mother, Kirstie Bennard, 30, was left covered in bite marks with severe injuries.

Those two dogs were also euthanized, according to authorities.

The police shooting of Jaheim McMillan in Gulfport, MS, has left the community shattered and wanting answers. The Shade Room exclusively spoke to an eyewitness who was inside the Family Dollar store when police shot the 15-year-old in hopes of shedding light on what happened.

An eye witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, says McMillan had his hands up and was “scared out of his mind” when he was shot in the head by police.

Eye Witness Says Teen Had His Hands Up

H[is] hands were all the way up. He was scared of out his mind.

The witness continued to say:

From where I was standing, I looked up, and Jaheim was moving in a slow motion by the door of the store; then boom, I saw at least five shots go towards this boy’s direction.

Continuing to detail what happened inside of the store, the witness said:

The bullets were hitting all of the store windows and door, and it caught everybody’s attention. I just saw his body drop, and my heart just broke.

The witness also says they didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting, which supports another eye witness who also said she didn’t see a weapon on McMillan at the time of the shooting.

He was unarmed from every spot that I saw on him. They continued saying, It was traumatizing knowing that was a child.

Our source also told us that McMillan was “handcuffed after he was shot” by police.

Events That Led Up To The Shooting

According to court documents obtained by WLOX, Jaheim McMillan and four other teens were approached by a police officer on Thursday, October 6th, after a call came in and stated a Kia Soul was driving recklessly, rolled down their window, and was “flipping them off.”

The documents also state that “the caller and his passenger said they saw the right rear passenger in the Kia Soul brandished a firearm” at a red light and also put on a “camouflage ski mask” and pointed a gun at them. Eventually, the caller was able to lose the Kia Soul.

Shortly after, police spotted a Kia Soul that matched the description made by the caller in the parking lot of a Family Dollar.

According to police, an officer approached an “armed” suspect, McMillan, which led to shots fired by the officer. McMillan was shot in the head and rushed to Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Other Teens Arrested & Charged

The four friends with McMillan were arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and a bond of $500,000. It’s also reported that guns were confiscated as well.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting, and the officer was placed on “non-enforcement duties pending results of that investigation.”
