A few weeks ago a random white girl named Hailey Welch had social media on fire when she described how to pleasure a man when she “spit on that thang” with a “hauk tuah!” And with all the memes that one moment spawned, Plies has decided to take some of that momentum and create a whole song around that sexual sentiment.

In his new visuals for “Hawk Tuah,” Plies shows just how he likes his women to give him that “hawk tuah!” by getting his “mic checked” in a public bathroom before getting some more of the same treatment in the comfort of his own home. The man didn’t waste any time banking off that hawk tuah hype.

Elsewhere Fat Trel and Millyz make a D.C. to Boston connection happen and in their clip for “Airplane Mode,” the two artists take to the rooftops of the buildings of Bean Town before hopping on a boat with some thick and exotic young women.
Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Honey Baby featuring Fivio Foreign, RJmrLA, and more.

The court chaos in the Young Thug / YSL proceedings continues. The judge who was just appointed to the case has also recused herself.

As spotted on Rolling Stone Magazine the trial will most likely face even more delays. Earlier this week Judge Ural Glanville was removed over a private meeting he hosted with the prosecutors and a state witness.

The defendant’s lawyers were not invited to the session thus it created concern that Glanville was not being impartial. Glanville was promptly replaced by Judge Shakura L. Ingram but on Wednesday, July 17 she willingly removed herself from the case admitting she has a connection to her former courthouse deputy.

“Because this court’s former assigned deputy could be called as a witness in any future proceedings in this case, the court may be called upon to assess this deputy’s credibility, or rule on matters related to her criminal prosecution,” Ingram wrote in the filing to recuse herself.
“This may undermine the public’s confidence in the impartiality of the proceedings. The clerk of this court is directed to reassign this criminal action to another judge.” Akeiba Stanley, the former courthouse deputy, had a romantic relationship with one of the co-defendants in the case. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Stanley would visit Christian Eppinger in his cell and conspire with his relatives to bring him contraband.

Judge Paige Reese Whitaker has now been assigned to the Young Thug / YSL RICO Trial.

This coming September, Hollywood actors, writers, and directors will have a chance to take home some well-deserved gold when the 76th Annual Emmy Awards airs on ABC and yesterday the academy released this year’s list of nominees which included some of your favorite actors and series.

According to Pitchfork, the likes of Donald Glover, Selena Gomez, and even Jay-Z are up for some golden statuettes as their work in 2023 have not gone unnoticed by the academy. Donald Glover got himself two nods for his work on Prime’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith as he’s been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (a lot of people slept on that series). Glover will face some stiff competition for Lead Actor as he’ll go up against the likes of Idris Elba (Hijack), and Hiroyuki Sanada (Shogun) amongst others.

Jay-Z meanwhile will be battling the likes of Usher for the Outstanding Variety Special Award as both men turned some memorable Super Bowl Halftime Shows while Selena Gomez earned herself her first acting nod for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Only Murders in the Building.
Per Pitchfork:
Notably, The Bear set a new record for most Comedy nominations in a single year with 23 nods, beating the previous record held by 30 Rock in 2009 with 22 nominations. One of those nominations goes to Lionel “L-Boy” Boyce for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Boyce was formerly a hypeman in Odd Future and actor on Loiter Squad, the rap group’s Adult Swim sketch comedy show.
“Television delivers stories that connect us, uplift us, challenge us, and always entertain us. Today, I am honored to celebrate the outstanding work of our extraordinarily talented and hardworking creative community,” said Television Academy chair Cris Abrego in a press release. “This morning’s Emmy nominations are a testament to their contributions and highlight the incredible programming that has risen to the top of an exceptional year in TV.”
Donald Glover’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith is also up for Best Drama Series with the show itself getting 16 nominations in total. We doubt it’ll get that clean sweep but how dope would it be if that came to pass? Just sayin.’
Check out the rest of the nominations on Emmys.com and let us know who’ll you be rooting for come September 15 in the comments section below.

Carlos Watson and his now-defunct startup, Ozy Media, have been found guilty of fraud.
Spotted on The Verge, Carlos Watson and Ozy Media were found guilty of fraud by a federal jury on Tuesday, per the New York Times reporting.

During the trial, the jury heard arguments from the government that Watson and Ozy Media misled investors by falsifying financial records, inflating audience numbers, and even completely making up business deals.

Things started well for Watson and business partner Samir Rao when they founded Ozy Media in 2013. The company launched with a newsletter, magazine, and an annual conference in New York City.
The company also received millions in investments while establishing high-profile partnerships before it all went to sh*t.
Per The Verge:
But things came to a halt when a 2021 article from New York Times media columnist Ben Smith reported that Rao impersonated a YouTube executive during a call with a Goldman Sachs banker about a potential $40 million investment. Rao pleaded guilty to related charges last year and is awaiting sentencing.
Additionally, prosecutors alleged that Watson lied to a prospective investor by saying that Google offered $600 million to take over the media startup. According to testimony from Google CEO Sundar Pichai, the company only considered investing $25 million as part of a potential plan to hire Watson. During the trial, Watson’s lawyers blamed Rao and Ozy Media’s employees for the fraudulent activity, NYT reports.
Speaking on the verdict, Breon Peace, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, broke down the fraud shenanigans Watson was up to.
“The jury found that Watson was a con man who told lie upon lie upon lie to deceive investors into buying stock in his company,” Peace said in a statement. “Watson invented phony financial figures and caused others to forge fake contracts and impersonate a media executive.”
Bruh.
Watson is looking at a lengthy 37 years in prison after being charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.
Damn.

Young Thug’s trial continues to get even more bizarre. The judge who has been overseeing the case since it started has just been removed.

The New York Times is reporting that Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause filed a written order on Monday, July 15 requesting that Judge Ural Glanville be removed from the case.

For the last 18 months, Glanville has supervised the very chaotic proceedings which have included some very intense witness questioning, an alleged attempt to hand Young Thug drugs in court, and a witness admitting he was high under oath. Things got even more interesting for all parties involved when Judge Ural hosted a private meeting on June 10 with both prosecutors from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and state witness Kenneth Copeland.

Under a legal lens, this session is deemed as an “ex parte” meeting which is Latin for “by or for one party”. In essence, the defendant’s legal representation was not involved in the discussion thus the move can be viewed as unfair or as that the magistrate is not impartial.
In her request for recusal Judge Rachel Krause made it clear that she doesn’t disapprove of his decision to hold the private assembly but understands how poorly this might be perceived by the public.
“This Court has no doubt that Judge Glanville can and would continue presiding fairly over this matter if the recusal motions were denied, but the ‘necessity of preserving the public’s confidence in the judicial system’ weighs in favor of excusing Judge Glanville from further handling of this case,” Krause wrote.

In a statement to The Washington Post Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel (pictured above) said, “We look forward to proceeding with a trial judge who will fairly and faithfully follow the law.”
It is unclear who will take over as the judge or when the trial will recommence. You can read the order to recuse Judge Glanville here.

It’s been 7 months since Kid Cudi dropped the deluxe version of his last album, INSANO, and though many thought Cudi might’ve been moving on to whatever project he’s working on next, the Cleveland rapper revisits his ninth studio album for his latest video.

Coming through with some new visuals to “SUPERBOY,” Kid Cudi hops on a private jet and heads to Japan where he and his crew take in the sights and sounds of the island country in the Far East and has a grand ol’ time before performing on stage for his adoring fans.

Back in the Western hemisphere, Tyga and Sabrina Claudio get up close and personal, and in their clip for “No Question,” the two spend some quality time in Puerto Rico where they frolic around the pueblo before downing some icey drinks and getting things lit with a bonfire on the beach. Looks like a helluva time.

Richard Simmons, a fitness guru with an outsized personality and infectious energy, has died at the age of 76, according to a breaking report. Richard Simmons dominated the fitness space for decades, later shrinking away from the spotlight due to the public demands of being a celebrity.
TMZ obtained exclusive details regarding the death of Richard Simmons, who was found unresponsive in his Hollywood Hills home according to the report.

While the outlet learned that Simmons fell in a bathroom inside the home, it isn’t known if that’s how the housekeeper found him. So far, the cause of Simmons’ death has been ruled due to natural causes, although because of his celebrity status, local police are widening the investigation. Foul play is not suspected, however.

From TMZ:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … police and fire responded to a call from his housekeeper just before 10 AM Saturday and pronounced him dead at the scene. We’re told no foul play is suspected at this time, and cops are investigating it as a natural death.
Shockingly, RS posted multiple times on Facebook recently … including thanking fans for all the birthday wishes he received.
Simmons was born in New Orleans, Louisiana back in 1948 … later attending Florida State University where he got a Bachelor’s degree in art before he moved to Los Angeles in the ’70s.
Born Milton Teagle Simmons, the fitness star opened a series of gyms in the Los Angeles region before exploding in the world of at-home videos such as his popular Sweatin’ To The Oldies aerobic videos. He was also an actor, starring as himself in the long-running soap opera General Hospital.
In recent times, Simmons maintained a reclusive lifestyle but periodically used social media to interact with his loving fanbase and continue to promote positive messages.
Richard Simmons just celebrated his birthday yesterday (July 12). He was 76.

The ongoing divorce between Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, has taken a new turn after court documents revealed that Guobadia is seeking clarification on Williams’ relationship with the rapper Future.

Earlier this week, In Touch Weekly reported that Guobadia has filed additional court documents as part of the divorce proceedings. These documents include a series of questions that he demands Williams answer under oath. Among these, he asks whether Williams married him for his money and to clarify the nature of her relationship with Nayvadius DeMun Cash, professionally known as “Future.”

Guobadia’s inquiry does not stop there. He also asks Williams to confirm or deny if she filed for divorce without informing him, whether she was unfaithful during their marriage, and if she had intimate relations with anyone else during their union. Additionally, he wants Williams to admit or deny if she was ever truly in love with him. Another pointed question concerns the five-figure monthly allowance he provided her during their marriage, seeking her understanding of the reasons behind it.

Despite the public nature of these requests, Guobadia has not provided an explanation for them. Sources close to Williams have reportedly stated that “Porsha does not know Future.”

A judge has yet to rule on Guobadia’s requests.

Apparently, Kevin Hart still hasn’t escaped his cheating scandal that began in 2017, when a sex tape was leaked that reportedly showed the actor and comedian getting his sneaky link on with actress and model Montia Sabbag.

Now, Hart is facing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed by his former friend Jonathan “J.T.” Jackson, who claimed Hart made baseless allegations regarding his alleged role in filming the sex tape and extorting the Soul Plane actor over it. According to the suit, Jackson is accusing Hart of welching on a settlement agreement by refusing to issue a public apology for the accusation in the manner that he agreed to.

From the Los Angeles Times:
In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Jackson accused the “Get Hard” actor of not using the “meticulously negotiated” and agreed-upon wording from their 2021 settlement when he addressed the scandal in an Instagram post that same year, resulting in a $12-million breach of written contract lawsuit. The civil lawsuit, which lists Hart, Hartbeat LLC and several Does among the defendants, also accuses them of fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The 23-page complaint, obtained Wednesday by The Times, said Hart was contractually obligated by their July 2021 settlement to use “specific verbiage” that would “publicly exonerate” the Navy veteran, professional bowler and actor, who was entangled in legal issues in the wake of the scandal.
“The wording of Hart’s statement — which was meticulously negotiated and detailed in the Contract — was absolutely crucial to repairing and remediating the severe damage inflicted upon Plaintiff’s reputation by the baseless extortion allegations that Hart aggressively promoted and publicized,” the complaint said.
In January 2018, the year after Hart’s sex tape was leaked, Jackson’s L.A. home was raided by law enforcement investigators with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, who reportedly held the 47-year-old and his wife at gunpoint while investigating the allegation of extortion, which Jackson believes Hart initiated. The charges were eventually dropped by prosecutors, but Jackson claimed that his “reputation was unjustly tarnished due to a series of malicious actions by the defendants.” Jackson also sued the prosecutors last December, according to the Times.

The actions by Hart and his production company, Hartbeat, that Jackson says hurt his reputation include the 2019 release of Hart’s Netflix docuseries Don’t F— This Up.
More from the Times:
The docuseries mentioned extortion and alleged that Jackson had been involved in the creation and dissemination of a sex tape that showed Hart and a woman who was not his wife getting intimate in a Las Vegas hotel room. (Both Jackson and Hart were also sued for $60 million by model Montia Sabbag, the woman who purportedly appeared with Hart in the tape, but that lawsuit was ultimately dismissed, and Jackson was cleared of all allegations.)
Jackson’s lawsuit states that in their original written settlement, Hart agreed to “pursue and advocate for the dismissal of all criminal charges” against Jackson and make a public statement exonerating him. Hart was allegedly supposed to declare officially that criminal charges against Jackson had been dropped, that Jackson had been cleared completely of any involvement in extortion, and that the whole saga had cost Hart “a valuable friendship.” Hart was also required to say he had “lost someone close to me that I loved and still have very much love for or high levels of love for and I’m proud to say that all charges against JT Jackson have been dropped and he is not guilty and had nothing to do with it and this matter at hand that once was so tough to deal with and so heavy for me and my household is now put to bed.” (To be fair, a lot of that was kinda extra. How are you going to sue someone into saying you were once a valued friend of theirs whom they “loved”?)
But Hart allegedly violated the terms of the settlement when an Instagram video he posted in October 2021 that “blatantly broke” their agreement and “manipulate[d] the narrative,” not because he didn’t state what he was supposed to state, but because he didn’t word his statement correctly.
“J.T. Jackson has recently been found not guilty, and those charges have been dropped against him, and I can finally speak on what I once couldn’t,” Hart said in his statement. Hart did mention that their friendship “was lost,” but he failed to mention that Jackson “had nothing to do with” any extortion plot.

“Hart’s statement deviates significantly from the agreed-upon verbiage in several crucial aspects,” Jackson’s attorney, Daniel L. Reback, argued. “First, Hart’s stipulated verbiage explicitly required him to state that ‘all charges against [Jackson] have been dropped and he is not guilty and had nothing to do with it.’ However, Hart’s actual statement lacks the explicit declaration of Plaintiff’s innocence or non-involvement. Also, Hart’s agreed-upon statement was to acknowledge the incident’s heavy impact on the loss of a valuable friendship due to the legal matter, but Hart’s actual statement focuses entirely on Hart himself ‘moving on’ and does not directly acknowledge the significant personal and professional toll on Plaintiff as outlined in the Contract.”
Jackson’s suit seeks $12 million as well as punitive damages to be determined at trial and reimbursement for legal costs and court fees. The suit also seeks injunctions requiring the defendants to exonerate him and remove “all the false statements” from Don’t F— This Up.

Two Democratic lawmakers requested that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas be criminally investigated for ethics and tax law violations.
According to reports, Senators Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island and Ron Wyden of Oregon sent a letter to  Attorney General Merrick Garland formally requesting that he appoint a special counsel to criminally investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for his failure to disclose lavish gifts from wealthy friends who happen to be donors to Republican-backed causes.

“We do not make this request lightly,” the senators wrote in their letter, dated July 3. “Supreme Court justices are properly expected to obey laws designed to prevent conflicts of interest and the appearance of impropriety and to comply with the federal tax code.”

They specifically asked that the special counsel look into whether Justice Thomas violated federal ethics and tax laws by failing to reveal as income that he received a luxury recreational vehicle with a forgiven debt of $267,000. A representative for Justice Thomas didn’t respond to press inquiries.
The letter goes on to state that Thomas had “repeated opportunities” to explain why he didn’t disclose these gifts to the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee’s panel overseeing federal courts which Wyden and Whitehouse chair, respectively. Thomas’ actions demonstrate a “willful pattern of disregard for ethics laws,” and they added,
“No government official should be above the law.”
The letter’s publication comes after Justice Thomas was revealed in January to have received substantial gifts from donors such as Harlan Crow in the past such as premium tickets to sporting events and luxury vacations. Thomas’ attorney, , wrote that his client’s earlier disclosure to the committees “fully complied with all judicial disclosure rules on this matter.” Thomas has also come under fire due to his wife, Ginni Thomas’ involvement in efforts to help overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Arizona for Donald Trump.
The request also comes as Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filed a motion to impeach Justice Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito on Wednesday (July 11). In her statement, the New York congresswoman wrote that both men’s refusal to recuse themselves from cases “in which they hold widely documented financial and personal entanglements” has led to an “unchecked corruption crisis on the Supreme Court.”
