Fans of the late rapper Takeoff were stunned after seeing the MC come to life in an impressive wax figure.

During an interview with Cleveland’s Z107.9, Mr. Officials revealed the project took seven months to complete and the cost of the immaculate project, was upwards of $100,000. The sculptor said despite his urge to re-invest his money into his personal needs, he leaned into God’s voice.

Mr.Officials.LLC shared the heartfelt story behind the work of art and why it also signified “new beginnings.”

“I haven’t posted in a while and here’s why,” the narration of the Takeoff video begins. “I’m grieving and I’m mourning and I didn’t even know it. Some of you may or may not notice that I’m closing my business after three years. I’m losing my car, it’s on its last wheel. I’m driving a 14-year-old car and I soon won’t have that. I’ll be homeless if all goes well. Now before you begin to feel sorry for me, I’m okay. My gift will make room for me because it always has, and even with all my losses I still believe that this is my year.”
“I’ve heard God say over and over, ‘Finish what you started,’” the narration continued. “So I thought well maybe I could finish some sculptures. I could finish working on some projects that I started on, but it’s way too expensive and like I said, I need a new car. He kept saying to me, ‘This is not about you. Your gift is to inspire. Finish what you started.’ So, as I continued to finish working on projects, I began to grieve and mourn the individuals that I was working on. Crying while creating, this young man I’ve been working on is deceased, and yet I still feel a sense to pray for him.

The behind-the-scenes video concluded with the lesson Mr. Officials felt was behind it all, the push to keep going.
“Praying for his soul, praying for his family, friends, and band members. That’s when it hit me. This will be the year that I take off. God was using me in the life and legacy of the late rapper Takeoff to let me know that he has not forgotten about me. And what’s funny is this isn’t even my prayer. My prayer is not to have a new house, or a new car or a new business. My prayer is for this to be your year of Takeoff. Your job will go to another level. Your marriage will go to another level. Even your finances and health will increase. I believe that this will be the year to Takeoff,” the narration concluded.
This isn’t the first time Mr. Officials has gone viral, in 2022 he set the internet ablaze for creating a life-size wax figure for the late Nipsey Hussle that took him nine months to finish.
The wax figure comes over a year after the artist was tragically gunned down in downtown Houston. Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was tragically shot and killed during an altercation in Houston in 2022. He was 28 years old. Patrick Clark was arrested and charged with the shooting last year but was released from jail on a $1 million bond.

Offset and Quavo apparently can no longer relate; figuratively and literally. It has confirmed that the two were never related at all.

As spotted on HipHopDX the flamboyant talent recently conducted an in depth interview with entertainment magazine Variety. The “Deadz” rapper gave the publication some much needed updates regarding his future plans, being a family man and more.  He went on to discuss his forthcoming sophomore solo album saying “I really wanted to drop the album like two years ago, but it wasn’t time. I had to master who I was, and I got it now.” He went on to detail his vision for this effort. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” he explained. “The objective is to do it fully and smash sh*t and f*** the game up as a solo artist. I’m coming through, busting through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.” He also confirmed the album features his last song ever recorded with Takeoff.

But when it comes to his career he was very tight lipped about his recording home as he did not want to speak out of turn as he is in litigation with Quality Control Music. A surprise that did come out of this exclusive Q&A is that he and bandmate Quavo are not related. “He was classmates with Quavo — the third member of Migos — and began hanging out with him and Takeoff when Offset was in the sixth grade,” the article reads. “While Quavo was Takeoff’s uncle, the two were just three years apart in age, and although Offset is often referred to as Quavo’s cousin, they are actually not biologically related.”

Offset did not confirm the release date for the new project but it is expected later this year via Capitol Music Group. You can read the interview here.

The certified lover boy, Drake, has blood on his hands. That is what defense lawyers in the XXXTentacion murder trial are claiming.
Drake allegedly played a vital role in the 2018 murder of Hip-Hop star XXXTentaction, the defense team for the three men on trial for the death of the “SAD!” crafter claim.
According to the lawyers, an alleged beef between the late rapper and Drizzy possibly led to XXXTentacion’s 2018 murder, but authorities never pursued that angle.
The trial of Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams is finally underway, with opening statements being presented. All three men are charged with first-degree murder and are looking at life in prison for XXXTentacion’s murder.
A fourth member, Robert Allen, who was with the three other men, has already pled guilty to second-degree murder last year and will take the stand against Boatwright, Newsome, and Williams.
In December, the three defendant’s attorneys named Joe Budden, Drake, and The Migos, plus others as key witnesses, the Miami Herald reports. The defense also claims the three men are a victim of the lies being spread by Allen.
Broward Circuit Judge Michael Usan isn’t buying what the defense is selling, and wonders what relationship the celebs named have with the murder. The prosecution called the defense’s tactics a silly stunt.
The Prosecutor Thinks The Drake Link Is A Joke
“It is apparent from the deliberate, late disclosure of the defendant’s witnesses and comments made between the parties that [the] defendant intended to ‘surprise’ the state and create a trial by ambush,” prosecutor Pascale Achille said to the judge.
She also said the defense provided no addresses or contact information for the celebs so that a subpoena could be issued.
Dedrick Williams’ attorney, Mauricio Padilla, pushed back at Achille’s claims of his tactics being nothing more than a joke.
“They are high-profile people,” Padilla told Judge Usan. “And it’s not easy for me to subpoena. I don’t have numbers, but it doesn’t mean I won’t be able to. Trying to subpoena Drake is not easy — you need a drone.”
Drake’s name being brought up during the trial by lawyers due to an eyebrow-raising post on XXXTentaction’s Instagram page where he wrote, “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi.”

The post was eventually deleted, and the late rapper said his account was hacked. XXXTentacion also threw shots at Drake and his mother on Twitter.
As expected, Twitter had thoughts and sounded off on the platform. You can see the reactions in the gallery below.
