Rihanna is officially stepping down as the CEO of her Savage X Fenty company, in a move to further the vision and earning potential of the brand.

According to reports, the superstar singer announced that she would be leaving the role with the lingerie brand that she co-founded in 2018 with another group including luxury house LVMH effective on Monday (June 26). Hillary Super, the former CEO of Anthropologie Group will take over the reins as Rihanna will remain executive chair. Since that origin point, her valuation is set at $1.4 billion.

“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna said in a statement. “This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”
“I’m thrilled to join the Savage X Fenty family,” Super said in the press release. “The brand is a major powerhouse in the lingerie and apparel industry, and its unwavering commitment to celebrating inclusivity and fearlessness is inspiring.” Prior to her being global CEO at Anthropologie, she served in leadership roles at American Eagle, Gap and Old Navy as well as Guess.
For the “Diamonds” singer, the move is another step towards realizing a stronger connection with the consumer beyond digital sales. The Savage X Fenty brand opened up brick-and-mortar locations in seven cities across the United States which include Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas and Atlanta, fueled by earning $125 million in investments at the beginning of last year aided by other groups including Jay-Z’s Marcy Venture Partners. Also adding to the brand’s appeal, the Valentine’s Day specials produced in conjunction with Amazon Prime have brought in more viewers and customers.

DJ Khaled is back in his brand ambassador bag once more and this time, he’s taking on the role of model. For Savage X Fenty’s new Valentine’s Day campaign, the We The Best Music honcho donned some relaxed fits for the hot-selling fashion line.

DJ Khaled, 47, revealed that he was soon to take to the runway as a model for Savage X Fenty in an exclusive first look at the campaign in a Zoom chat with BET Lifestyle. The Miami star was grateful for the opportunity to work with Rihanna’s brand and saluted the Barbadian businesswoman’s vision.

“I want to thank Rihanna and Savage X Fenty for letting me be part of this campaign,” Khaled said. “Rihanna is a visionary, and for her to give me the opportunity to wear the clothes, it was so dope and organic. I love that she lets me be myself. I promote to the world to always be yourself. She inspires me.”
Rihanna announced the Valentine’s Day campaign as only she can on Jan. 12, and the entire collection for both guys and gals and whoever can be purchased now.

DJ Khaled is ready to become America’s next top model. The producer dished on his role as a Savage X Fenty brand ambassador and model in a new interview on Thursday (Jan. 26).

“I’ve been trying to tell the world I wear a lot of hats. You see me in that robe,” he told BET of modeling for the brand’s Valentine’s Day campaign. “I’ve got a modeling career ahead of me, you know.”

Khaled continued: “I want to thank Rihanna and Savage X Fenty for letting me be part of this campaign. Rihanna is a visionary, and for her to give me the opportunity to wear the clothes, it was so dope and organic. I love that she lets me be myself. I promote to the world to always be yourself. She inspires me.”

The Savage X Fenty Valentine’s Day drop, which Rihanna modeled herself in a series of steamy uploads to social media earlier this month, isn’t the only collection the superstar has released lately. She’s also unveiled her limited edition Game Day line in anticipation of her halftime show at Super Bowl LVII next month, and just this week added a Fenty x Mitchell & Ness collab as well.

Meanwhile, DJ Khaled is still riding high off the success of his 2022 album God Did, which not only debuted as his fourth No. 1 album but also contained top five hit “Staying Alive” featuring Drake and Lil Baby as well as follow-up single “Big Time” featuring Future and Lil Baby.

Rihanna gave fans a red-hot preview of Savage X Fenty’s upcoming Valentine’s Day collection on Sunday.

“Heartbreaker szn,” the superstar captioned one round of photos, which feature her posing in a lacy black bodysuit in a neon-lit room of pinks, blues, purples and reds. In another series of photos, she wears an orange and purple, psychedelic print set while perched on top of a glass table, her long black hair trailing down to her backside accented by a stream of tiny braids. “#savageXfentySPORT V-DAY drop,” she teased, hinting that the latest line will be available by mid-February.

The new Valentine’s-themed pieces aren’t the only looks RiRi has been readying as of late, either. Earlier this month, the “Needed Me” singer modeled her limited-edition Savage X Game Day collection in anticipation of her upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, when she’ll take the stage on Feb. 12 at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium to mark her first major musical performance in six years.

The sporty drop includes a number of crop-top varsity jerseys, hats, hoodies, tube tops, sweatpants, beanies and even cotton boxers patterned with tiny footballs. One oversize white tee playfully has the words “RIHANNA CONCERT INTERRUPTED BY A FOOTBALL GAME, WEIRD BUT WHATEVER” emblazoned across the front in giant block letters.

Ahead of the recent Golden Globes attendee‘s long-awaited comeback, Billboard also mapped out our dream setlist for the halftime show — from “Don’t Stop the Music” and “Rude Boy” to “We Found Love” and (fingers crossed!) a new track from the ever-elusive R9.

Need something steamy to wear this Valentine’s Day? You already know Bad Girl Ri Ri has you covered, or, as far as the clothing itself goes … not so covered. With just about one month left to go before Feb. 14, Rihanna dropped her “V-Day” line of lingerie on her Savage X Fenty website and posted a red-hot video of herself modeling one of the designs.

In the Thursday (Jan. 12) video, the “S&M” singer poses in a black lace jumpsuit with a revealing heart-shaped cutout just under the neckline. “Phuck yo roses,” she captioned the post on Twitter, adding a red heart emoji.

The piece Ri models in the video looks to be the “Lovestruck Lace” catsuit — which, according to the Savage X Fenty website, is “crotchless.” Do with that as you will.

The catsuit is now available for purchase on the site along with lacy bodysuits, corset tops, bra-and-panty sets and more. There’s even a Valentine’s-themed jockstrap for the fellas.

Similar to the design Rihanna models in her video, many of the pieces have racy cutouts or stretches of transparent fabric. As Savage X Fenty puts it in a tweet promoting the line on the company’s official account, they’re “Hot from e’ry angle.”

The new drop comes just days after the nine-time Grammy winner attended the Golden Globes Tuesday (Jan. 10), where she was in the running for best original song with her Wakanda Forever track “Lift Me Up.” Though she didn’t take home the award that night, she and A$AP Rocky — with whom Ri welcomed a son last May — did unofficially win best-dressed couple at the event.

Valentine’s Day isn’t the only major occasion happening in February that Rihanna is gearing up for, though. Two days before the holiday of love, she’ll headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show — an occasion she also celebrated with a Savage x Fenty line of “Game Day” clothing.

Valentine’s Day is a month away, and Rihanna wants you to show your skin some love with a special edition of one of her “favorite” products.

“Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to create a special version of my favorite body care product – this time with a sexy rose gold shimmer finish and delicious vanilla scent for irresistible skin,” Rihanna said in news release sent to Billboard on Tuesday (Jan. 10).

The newly released Butta Drop Vanilla Whipped Oil Body Cream boasts a dreamy, warm vanilla scent to help you achieve silky smooth, ultra-hydrated skin.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is officially back in work mode after welcoming a son last year. Earlier this week, the new mom debuted the Savage x Fenty “Game Day” collection of Super Bowl-themed hoodies, joggers, jerseys, tees, hats and more available in brown, black and navy-blue designs.

Rihanna is also nominated for best original song at Tuesday night’s (Jan. 10) Golden Globe Awards for “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — and that’s not the only big event on her schedule. The 34-year-old singer will headline the Super Bowl halftime show next month, and if “Lift Me Up” snags an Oscar nod, she could potentially perform at the Academy Awards in March too.

The fourth iteration of Rihanna‘s Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday (Nov. 9), taking viewers on an ethereal, surreal experience — filming out in nature for the show — as she showed off her latest lingerie collection.

As is typical for RiRi, she’s not afraid to get creative. This year, she teamed up again with musical directors Omar Edwards and Adam Blackstone to create a lush musical landscape to capture her brand’s essence. “This year, specifically, the location made it different with being outside in nature,” Edwards tells Billboard of what made this year stand out compared to Savage x Fenty shows of the past. “Also, there was animation added so you’re adding all these different worlds into one things. There’s a live element, there’s scoring film to picture and you’re in nature. All of those things combined made it super unique.”

When asked if the combined landscapes and digital elements made the musical process more challenging, Blackstone laughs that working with a mastermind like Rihanna is “never easy,” as she is always trying to go bigger and better with every fashion show. “She has the power to inspire you to do things that are outside the norm,” he explains.

“Look at the brand, we have all shapes and sizes, all colors, people who are handicapped, some with ailments and she empowers women and men to be their authentic self,” he continues. “For me and Omar, she does the same with us musically. She empowers us to be ourselves and push the envelope. She then supports us so strongly that we feel comfortable trying things and making mistakes and knowing that it’s coming from a place of wanting to see her win because she wants to see the whole team win. The inspiration now is, ‘Yo, we can go on the mountain and do whatever.’ She literally made that happen, got us to the mountain top.”

As for where they see Savage x Fenty fashion shows going in the future, Edwards and Blackstone say that the sky is the limit — literally. “We’ll be in space next time, bro,” Edwards jokes to Blackstone, who responds, “It would not surprise me if we had Vol. 7 on the moon. If anyone can do it, it’s our Rihanna.”

“There are no boundaries when it comes to her and her creativity,” Blackstone adds. “The team that she has assembled, it sounds cliché and churchy, but we know all things are possible when it comes to her. If she has an idea, it pushes us to execute it without limits. I don’t know if we can pinpoint and say ‘This is where it can go’ because it has the ability and the power to go anywhere.”

Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 is now streaming on Prime Video.

The fourth iteration of Rihanna‘s Savage x Fenty Show premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday (Nov. 9) with everyone from Cara Delevigne and Simu Liu to Sheryl Lee Ralph and Taraji P. Henson walking the runway in RiRi’s sexy creations.

During the fashion show, Anitta, Don Toliver, Maxwell and Burna Boy all hit the stage as well for a quartet of soulful and steamy musical numbers, and we want to know which one you couldn’t take your eyes off of.

Anitta was first up, and delivered a solo rendition of the baby-making Versions of Me cut “Practice” sans collaborators A$AP Ferg and HARV. Later, the Brazilian sensation got up close and personal with a male backup dancer for her global smash “Envolver.”

For his part, Toliver used the Savage x Fenty platform to tease a new song, which interpolated The S.O.S. Band’s debut 1980 single “Take Your Time (Do It Right)” before segueing into his 2021 track “Way Bigger” off Life of a DON.

Later, Maxwell kicked off his own performance with his animated doppelgänger fully immersed in water, leading to the real R&B legend emerging with a full band to run through his 1996 throwback hit “Whenever, Wherever, Whatever,” which earned a nomination for best male pop vocal performance at the 40th annual Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy closed out the musical numbers for the evening with a one-two punch of this summer’s “Last Last” followed by “It’s Plenty” from his sixth and latest studio album Love, Damini.
