Christina Aguilera may be most known for her powerful vocals and Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping songs, but the pop star recently revealed she’s also quite the gamer. During a trip to Melbourne, the “Dirrty” singer revealed what she carries in her bag during a TikTok for the Australian food delivery service Menulog on Thursday (Nov. 30). Among her travel necessities is a pink Nintendo Lite Switch, with the star claiming she’s a “big kid at heart” and relies on the device for some relaxation when she’s on the go.

“Everybody that knows me knows I love a nice video game,” she says in the video. “It’s very relaxing. It takes me out of my element — it’s a destressor for me, so who doesn’t like a cute and pink Switch?”
You’ll also likely find her playing Super Mario Bros., as the “Beautiful” singer says she’s “a big Mario girl.”
Instead of relying on an outlet, laptop or TV to play video games, Aguilera praised the Switch’s portability, noting you can “take it on the plane, hotel rooms,” and since it’s lightweight, there’s less of a worry about the device weighing down your backpack, tote bag or luggage.
The singer isn’t the only one who’s a fan of the gaming device. It’s earned a 4.8-star rating on Amazon, with more than 47,000 verified five-star reviews by shoppers who can’t get enough of it’s “durable” design and how “how simple and portable it is.”

Move over Mario. Link is the latest Nintendo character coming to a movie theater near you.
Per Engadget, The Legend of Zelda is being adapted into a live-action film, Nintendo confirms. The film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda has been in discussion for a while, but now we have the confirmation the project is in development, and Wes Ball (The Maze Runner, Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes) will sit in the director’s chair.
It would seem all Nintendo would need to give this project the greenlight was the success of the Super Mario Bros. movie.
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad will serve as producers on the film; shockingly, Sony Pictures Entertainment is co-financing the movie.
Nintendo will finance 50% of the film, while Sony will handle the theater distribution.
As he did for the Super Mario Bros. animated film, Miyamoto-San proudly announced that the film is coming on via Nintendo’s official X, formerly Twitter, account.
“This is Miyamoto. I have been working on the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit films,” the Nintendo chief wrote.
Miyamoto also noted that the film is in early development and “Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production,” plus “it will take time until its completion.”
X Reacts To The Legend of Zelda Movie
With the film’s announcement, X’s video game community is reacting and already fan-casting for the movie, like choosing Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer for the iconic role of Princess Zelda.
Some folks are not too excited. Kinda Funny’s Barrett Courtney, a lifelong Zelda fan, isn’t as optimistic about the upcoming film.
The Legend of Zelda is so far away, and we will be optimistic about it. You can see more reactions to the upcoming film in the gallery below.

Ever since the first Super Mario Bros. game back in 1985, Mario became best known for 2D adventures. And after more than 10 years since the release of the last side-scrolling platform game, New Super Mario Bros. U for Nintendo Wii U, Mario is back in 2D with Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Exclusively for Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is priced at $59.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target. This game features Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Nabbit and Yoshi (four colors) as playable characters. However, instead of an adventure in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and friends find themselves in the Flower Kingdom.
Nintendo
As for the game’s story, Mario, Luigi and friends make a trip to the Flower Kingdom to visit Prince Florian. However, during their visit, Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Kamek surprise attack the kingdom to kidnap the prince and steal the magical Wonder Flower. You must pick your favorite character, rescue the prince, get the Wonder Flower back and restore peace and order to the Flower Kingdom.
In addition, there are new power-ups and abilities for Super Mario Bros. Wonder — Elephant Fruit will turn you into a stampeding elephant, a Bubble Flower allows you to trap enemies in floating bubbles, a Drill Mushroom can help you navigate through levels and a special Wonder Flower can turn any level into delightfully, trippy chaos.
After playing a few levels, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a joyful throwback to past Mario games, like the original Super Mario Bros. trilogy, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and others, but updated with modern graphics and animations, as well as up to four multi-player co-op — local and online. This adds a new wrinkle to the gameplay and mechanics since you’re playing with and against each other in a common goal to clear levels. In other words, it plays like Super Mario Bros., but looks and feels like Super Smash Bros. at the same time.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Nintendo Switch is out now for $59.99.

Priced at $59.99 on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target, Sonic Superstars is a new 2D side-scrolling adventure that features Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna and Amy Rose — all as playable characters.
The game drops on Oct. 17 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PS4.
Nintendo/Amazon
Set on the uncharted Northstar Islands, Sonic Superstars follows Sonic and team joining forces to defeat Dr. Eggman, the mercenary Fang the Hunter and the mysterious Trip the Sungazer from stealing the Chaos Emeralds and turning all the animals on the island into robotic Badniks.
The game also features new Chaos Emerald power-ups to help you clear levels and conquer enemies. Sonic can now multiply, swim up waterfalls, change form and much more.
[embedded content]
After playing a few levels and bonus stages, Sonic Superstars — which also features co-op multiplayer — is a return to classic Sonic games from the ’90s, like the Sonic The Hedgehog trilogy, Sonic & Knuckles and others, while its blazing fast gameplay keeps gamers active when clearing levels. Sonic’s new power-up mechanics is a breath of fresh air, as it gives characters more usability.
In addition, choosing a character also comes down to a bit of strategy because each character has their own pros and cons. For example, Sonic is fast when running, while Knuckles is fast when climbing up walls. Gameplay varies from character to character and player to player. If you haven’t played a Sonic game since the ’90s, then Sonic Superstars is a good one to pick up — if you want to recapture the gaming experiences of your youth, but with modern animations and graphics.
Sonic Superstars for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One is available for $59.99.

The great detective has arrived! Detective Pikachu Returns is the long-awaited sequel to 2016’s very popular Pokémon spinoff game for the Nintendo 3DS.
Priced at $49.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart, Detective Pikachu Returns for the Nintendo Switch is unlike any other Pokémon game. First off, Pikachu speaks, but he has the voice and persona of a middle-aged man who loves to drink coffee.

Secondly, he has a partner, a human named Tim Goodman, who is the son of Detective Pikachu’s former partner Harry, who went missing two years earlier. The pair go around Ryme City asking questions of the people and Pokémon around them, as they gather clues in a trusty notebook and solve mysteries in a point-and-click adventure.
Nintendo/Amazon
Meanwhile, the game follows the events after a jewel heist in Ryme City. Detective Pikachu and Tim join forces to investigate and search for clues, while one mystery leads to another that will hopefully reveal the identity of the real jewel thief. Other Pokémon help as much as they can, but they only talk to Detective Pikachu, who has to translate for Tim.
Detective Pikachu Returns is the perfect example of a cozy game — just in time for the fall season. Although most of the game is text-based and character-focused with cute animations, it’s great for curling up on a couch with a hot cup of cocoa (or a coffee) on a cold and rainy afternoon as you look for clues and question all sorts of different Pokémon, such as Growlithe, Slowpoke, Ducklett, Magikarp, Snivy, Rowlet, Sudowoodo and more.
Detective Pikachu Returns for Nintendo Switch is out now and available for $49.99.

Available for pre-order at $49.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart, WarioWare: Move It! is a party video game with more than 200 motion-controlled microgames across gameplay options, including Party Mode, Story Mode and The Museum.
For up to four players, “The Museum” is a collection of quick head-to-head challenges that you can pick and choose from in local co-op play, while “Party Mode” is a board-game-style match. And for a true WarioWare experience, just because you win your match, it doesn’t mean you move ahead in the game.
“Story Mode” involves Wario on a tropical island running from evil spirits in a random assortment of microgames thrown at you. The more microgames you complete, the faster Wario runs away.
Here’s a list of a few microgames found in “The Museum”:
Cowboy Up
Buttograph
Super Mario Bros. 3 (shake your tail to fly)
Feeling Peckish
Bell Chorus
Keeping Count
Thigh Fishing
Sumo Says
Train
Shell Shine
Nintendo/Amazon
Meanwhile, microgames range from short “follow-the-leader”-style games to brief Switch Sports-like challenges. There are a few microgames that are a throwback to early Nintendo titles and characters too. Moreover, you’ll sometimes have to “strike a pose” and get into a funny, yet awkward, standing position to complete a few games, but it’s all in the spirit of fun and participation from the WarioWare series.
Overall, in a first impression and without a full review, WarioWare: Move It! is loads of fun with short bursts of exciting challenges, especially with more than one player. The mircogames are creative and inventive with bright colors and slick animations, while the motion controls seem accurate and amusing to execute in a group. While “Story Mode” is reserved for single player experiences, it’s ultimately a party game meant to be played with friends and family.
WarioWare: Move It! for Nintendo Switch comes out on Nov. 3 for $49.99. It’s available for pre-order now.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is currently the white whale of the gaming industry, and reportedly, a bunch of Captain Ahabs (devs) got to see it at Gamescom.
The evidence is mounting that Nintendo showed off the highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 to developers at Gamescom, and they also got to see it in action. Spotted on The Verge, via Eurogamer, and Windows Central, “trusted devs” saw a tech demo of how some games run on the Switch 2.
Per The Verge:
There was reportedly a demo of an improved version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild designed to run on the more advanced hardware inside the Nintendo Switch 2. Eurogamer’s report follows rumors from Windows Central’s Jez Corden that Nintendo had discussed a next-generation Switch with select developers at Gamescom.
Reports also claim that devs saw Epic Games Unreal Engine 5 tech demo of The Matrix Awakens running on hardware Nintendo hopes to get into the Nintendo Switch 2.
According to The Verge’s reporting, the game utilized “Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling technology with ray tracing enabled,” signaling that Nintendo and Nvidia are possibly working on a more powerful chip for the Switch 2.
Other Nintendo Switch 2 Rumors
VGC also reports that Nintendo is gunning for a 2024 release for the Nintendo Switch 2. It will not use an OLED screen, which is an unusual decision, and will still have support for physical cartridges.
“Certain developers” also have developer kits and console development is “progressing well,” Nikkei Asia reports.
These latest reports follow the multiple rumors of Nintendo dropping a “Nintendo Switch Pro” that was allegedly supposed to allow 4K gaming, and 11 developers did get their hands on 4K Nintendo Switch development kits.
According to Bloomberg, Nintendo had to change plans due to the global chip shortage. Nintendo, who is notoriously tight-lipped about their projects, denied it was working on a 4K Nintendo Switch.
As expected, the video game streets are talking. You can see the reactions to the recent developments in the gallery below.
