Ciara Claps Back at Women’s Basketball Coach for Saying She Makes ‘TikTok Music’

Ciara is standing up to the haters.

The “1, 2 Step” singer took to Twitter on Sunday (Aug. 20) to reply to a tweet accusing her of making “TikTok music.” The user is an assistant coach at William & Mary Tribe Women’s Basketball in Virginia, according to her Twitter profile.

“And.. ..you’re watching…:) taking time to comment. Gotta love it,” Ciara replied with a laughing emoji, before following up with another tweet: “Not the assistant coach of a women’s basketball team taking time to hate.. that makes no sense.”

Despite the trolls, it’s been an incredible month for Ciara, who revealed that she’s expecting her third baby with husband Russell Wilson, and her fourth child altogether. “’You look at me like that again, we make another kid…,” she captioned the Instagram post, quoting lyrics from her new song “How We Roll” with Chris Brown. “You my heart I’m your rib.”

The “One, Two Step” singer is already mom to three kids, including 9-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Future. After marrying Wilson in 2016, she and the Denver Broncos quarterback welcomed daughter Sienna Princess in 2017 followed by son Win Harrison in 2020.

The announcement also came just four days after “How We Roll” dropped, which follows previous 2023 singles from Ciara “Da Girls,” “Slow” with Jackson Wang and “Get Loose” with AGNEZ MO.

MAGA Stooge Kid Rock Clowned For Drinking Bud Light

UFC 287: Curtis v Gastelum

Kid Rock might not have any hit records that the general public cares about, but he’s since rebranded as an All-American tough guy who likes to shoot beer cans and all that jazz. The former struggle rapper and faux rock lord was spotted drinking a can of supposedly too-woke Bud Light and folks on X, formerly known as Twitter, are cooking him.

As reported by TMZ, Kid Rock was seen crushing a cold can of Bud Light in Nashville, Tenn. while taking in a Colt Ford show at Skydeck. While the Michigan native famously sued some of his high-powered to shoot up a case of Bud Light in protest over them working with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, it came as a shock to some that Rock would dare to be seen in public gripping a can of “Woke Suds.”

While it isn’t known why the King of Fedoras has decided to walk back his performative Bud Light ban, he does look funny in the light to several folks on X, formerly known as Twitter. On the platform, users are giving Rock the business for sipping on Bud Light. Given that the brand saw its sales drop after the Mulvaney partnership soured the connection between them and their core supporters, maybe Kid Rock sipping on the brew is the start of a bounce back? Who knows.

Check out the reactions from X below.

Anthony’s 13 songs listed above also all debut on the 25-position Country Digital Song Sales chart, from “Richmond” at No. 1 to “Between You & Me” at No. 25. He ties the record for the most simultaneous top-25 entries; 13 titles by Kenny Rogers reached the ranking dated April 4, 2020, following his passing that March 20.

Like father, like son. King Harris is not only following his daddy, T.I., regarding his career choice but is also part of the veneers gang. Unfortunately, he is getting clowned for his new chompers.

King Harris was happy to debut his aggressively big new teeth last week and was immediately met with jokes. We are sure he didn’t think his father would be one of the so-called “haters” cutting up about his new grill.

Spotted on HipHopDX, the rapper, now aspiring comedian, joined by fellow comedians K Dubb, Jayski, and Ronnie Jordan, sat down for an interview with DJ Diamond Kuts on Saturday (August 19), and his son’s latest dental surgery was part of the conversation.

Per HipHopDX:

“Aye, look man. The man said he wanted his teeth done, he put his paper up, stacked his money, and he went and got his teeth done,” he began. “I respect and admire and celebrate the actual process he went through to get them done. And so when I seen him, I was congratulatory. I was like, ‘Hell yeah, man. They white!”

K Dubb interjected and said: “When I seen them, I said he had teeth like Garfield,” which caused the whole room — including T.I. — to erupt in laughter.

“So, I said, ‘They white, man. They nice!’ ‘Cause the dentist did do a good job,” the Grand Hustle general continued. “I’m giving him props, and his momma walk in, and the first thing she say, ‘Why the hell is they so damn big!’”

The Jokes About King’s New Teeth Keep Coming

The jokes didn’t stop there. After the room was finished laughing, one of the other comedians took the opportunity to crack a joke hilariously, saying they were King’s father’s teeth.

“But what y’all [gotta] understand, he’s a growing boy, he gon’ grow into them!” the “U Don’t Know Me” rapper added.

The laughs returned in full force when Dubb hilariously called Tip’s son “Teeth Keef” and “Teeth Sweat,” both are clever plays on music artists Chief Keef and Keith Sweat.

Having heard enough, King’s sister came to his defense, telling the folks in the room, “Don’t talk about my brother like that.”

King had time for the people talking about his shiny new veneers, clapping back in a video response, “Aye, I gotta make this video for the big teeth trolls, man,” he said in an Instagram video. “Aye bro, listen, calm down, bruh. Your bitch ain’t going nowhere. She still gon’ be there. I don’t want her.”

Twitter; oops, X users have been going in with the jokes. You can see those reactions in the gallery below.

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Welcome Baby No. 2: Report

Congratulations are in order for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky who welcomed their second child together, according to reports on Monday (Aug. 21).

TMZ was the first to report the news, while sources told Entertainment Tonight, “Rihanna and ASAP will spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won’t make any immediate plans to debut the new baby.”

The new bundle of joy arrives one year and three months after RiRi welcomed the couple’s first child — a baby boy — in May 2022. RiRi revealed that she was pregnant again during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance in February, surprising fans in a curve-hugging red outfit that showed off her baby bump.

Since then, she’s been rocking her signature, envy-worthy maternity style on red carpets, social media and beyond. In March, she stepped out with A$AP at the 2023 Academy Awards, baby bump on full display in a shawl and low-waisted skirt. The couple adorably posed for a few photos together, some of which captured the sweet moment Rocky cradled Ri’s pregnant belly.

The Barbados-born superstar also appeared at the Met Gala in May, donning a gorgeous all-white Valentino wedding gown with a train, adorned with white roses. “It’s so different from the first one,” she told ET of her second pregnancy. “No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it.”

“I feel good,” added the “Love on the Brain” singer. “I feel energetic.”

Miguel Bosé Says He Was Attacked by 10 Armed Men at His Mexico City Home

On Monday (Aug. 21), Miguel Bosé shared that he was the victim of an assault by armed men at his home in Mexico City, where he was held hostage along with his two children by 10 hooded men on Friday. Local authorities say they have opened an investigation.

“Dear friends, on Friday night a commando of 10 armed subjects broke into my home, assaulted us, tied my children, the house staff, and myself for more than two hours,” the Spanish star wrote on his official Instagram account.

The “Si Tú No Vuelves” singer assured that everyone is fine, although he said the thieves took “everything” in an act that, in his opinion, seemed “very studied and militaristic.”

“It was all very tense, tricky and unpleasant,” he said, but “we are all fine. My children behaved like two brave men. Admirable.”

He did not specify, however, whether he had reported or will report the crime to the authorities. The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office reported in a statement that it had already opened an investigation folder after the dissemination in the media of a “possible robbery at the home of a foreign singer, located in the Álvaro Obregón Mayor’s Office.”

The agency specified that, so far, “neither the victim and/or his legal representative, nor the administration of the residential complex where the events occurred have appeared before this Prosecutor’s Office to denounce the crime.” He invited Bosé and/or his legal representative to file a formal complaint.

In his Instagram post, Bosé also asked his followers to listen to his version and not to pay attention to rumors. In this sense, he clarified that he does not plan to leave Mexico, the country where he has lived since he left Panama in the fall of 2018. The artist lives in one of the most exclusive areas of the Mexican capital.

“I am very sorry to disappoint you, here I am and here I will stay to face whatever it takes, in the most hospitable country on the planet. We go on…”, he concluded in his post.

A wave of supportive messages have circulated social media following the 67-year-old singer and actor’s revelation, including from Mexican singers Carlos Rivera and Ximena Sariñana, as well as Italian singer Laura Pausini and Colombian star Carlos Vives, who left comments on the post.

“Migue all my solidarity to you and your family. I send you a big hug and we are glad you are well,” Vives wrote.

“Stay strong Miguel, I love you! I’m glad everyone is well,” wrote Mexican film and TV director Manolo Caro.

A Judge Posted Rihanna Lip-Syncs To TikTok. Now He’s Trying To Avoid Serious Discipline

Two months after a New Jersey judge was hit with a misconduct investigation over TikTok videos in which he lip-synced to Rihanna’s “Jump” and other popular songs, he’s filed his first response — admitting “poor judgment” and “vulgar” lyrics but saying he intended only “silly, harmless, and innocent fun.”

Gary N. Wilcox, a judge on New Jersey’s Superior Court, is facing potential discipline after it was revealed in June that he had posted pseudonymous lip-sync videos featuring sexually explicit and violent lyrics. One featured a Nas song about a courthouse shooting; another centered on Busta Rhymes lyrics about oral sex; several were filmed in his actual court chambers.

In his first formal response Friday (Aug. 18), Wilcox repeatedly owned up to the mistake — saying he’d intended the videos to be private but acknowledging that “the content of some of his posts was inappropriate and not becoming of a judge.”

“The respondent recognizes that now and with the benefit of hindsight would not have made and posted them,” Wilcox wrote. “Nor will he ever post again.”

But Wilcox also defended himself, saying the lyrics came from songs by “recognized commercial artists” that had been “played on the radio” and could be purchased by anyone — including some that had been “nominated for recognized music industry awards.” Notably, Wilcox also suggested that his use of hip-hop lyrics had been treated differently than it might have been for a different type of music.

“Other genres have generated popular songs by artists who have criminal backgrounds or lyrics about objectionable or even abhorrent conduct,” the judge wrote. “Yet, such artists and songs remain popular. Those who listen to them, sing them, or even lip-sync to them are not adopting any messaging or lifestyle of the artist or song.”

Wilcox was hit with a complaint on June 30 by New Jersey’s judicial conduct watchdog, claiming he had used the alias “Sal Tortorella” to create dozens of TikTok posts over the past two years.

The complaint cited 11 videos that were “inappropriate and brought disrepute to the Judiciary,” including those with “graphic sexual references to female and male body parts” or “racist terms.” Several were allegedly filmed in his personal chambers, and one was filmed walking through the courthouse in his robes.

“By his conduct in posting these and similar videos to TikTok, Respondent exhibited poor judgment and demonstrated disrespect for the Judiciary and an inability to conform to the high standards of conduct expected of judges,” judicial regulators wrote.

In one video, Wilcox mouthed lyrics from “Jump” by Rihanna: “If you want it let’s do it / Ride it, my pony / My saddle is waitin’ / Come and jump on it / If you want it, let’s do it.” In another, Wilcox appeared as “Touch It” by Busta Rhymes played in the background: “While she tryna touch see I was peepin’ it out / She turned around and was tryna put my dick in her mouth / I let her.”

One other video featured Nas’ “Get Down,” a 2002 track that features a lyric about a criminal trial in which a defendant “grabbed a court officer’s gun and started squeezing” and another in which gang members kill a doctor who treated a rival.

The complaint, lodged by the state’s Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, accused Wilcox of violating three different rules governing the New Jersey judiciary, including one requiring judges “to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.” Under state guidelines, his discipline could range from a light reprimand to his outright dismissal from the bench.

In Friday’s response, Wilcox urged the committee to impose only a reprimand. He cited his “unblemished record” prior to the videos, and said the TikTok clips, which had been viewed by only a small number of people, had not caused lasting damage to “the public’s perception of his integrity.” He also said he had faced enough punishment simply by the case being publicly filed against him.

“The public is clearly aware of the embarrassment and humiliation that respondent has been subjected to by the enormous press coverage resulting from the filing of the complaint for public discipline,” Wilcox wrote.

As for the lyrics themselves, Wilcox repeatedly stressed that he had not intended to “endorse any of the artists, their lifestyle or their views.” Referring to the sexually-explicit Rihanna lyrics, the judge said he chose it simply because he had “heard the song and liked the music.”

“The song was posted because of the music and to have fun lip syncing,” the judge wrote. “It was not posted because of any meaning, nor was the post directed anywhere, at anyone or anything.”

Wilcox will face a formal hearing on the allegations, but such a hearing has not yet been scheduled.

Rapper Gunplay Facing Felony Charges in Miami Over Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

The rapper Gunplay is facing three felony charges over an alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife.

The rapper, whose real name is Richard Morales, was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse, according to court records reviewed by Billboard.

According to a police report obtained by Miami’s Fox affiliate, the rapper’s wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, told police that an intoxicated Gunplay became enraged when she asked him to lower the volume of a video game on his Xbox to avoid waking their six-month-old child. After he allegedly threw glasses and bottles at her, she reported that he then picked up an AK-47 assault rifle and aimed it at her.

When she attempted to leave the apartment, Taylor-Morales says he blocked her and attempted to grab the baby by the neck and head. When she screamed for help, the rapper allegedly left the apartment, allowing her to flee the scene. Police later arrived, arresting Gunplay and recovering the AK-47.

On Instagram, Taylor-Morales recounted the same incident and said that she would be filing for divorce. “I just want everyone to know my daughter and I are safe,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, Richard is back using and developed a very bad drinking problem. I’ve tried everything in my power to help him and love him. This is a demon he has to overcome on his own. At this point I really believe it’s too late.”

An initial hearing before a judge had been scheduled for Monday morning to determine whether Gunplay would be released on bond, but it’s unclear if it took place. The rapper could not immediately be located for comment.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) is out on Oct. 27, which Swift announced during her last show at Los Angeles SoFi Stadium on August 9. The album was originally released in 2014 and topped the Billboard 200 albums chart for 11 weeks.

After the announcement earlier this month, Swift’s former seven-week No. 1 hit “Blank Space” from the original album re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Aug. 19), marking its first appearance on the survey since its initial 36-week chart run in 2014-15. “Blank Space” was a monumental hit for Swift, marking her third and longest-leading No. 1 at the time.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be Swift’s fourth “Version,” since announcing her re-recording project in 2019. The previous three all logged time at No. 1 on the Billboard 200: Fearless (Taylor’s Version) with two weeks in 2021, Red (Taylor’s Version) with one week in 2021, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with two weeks in 2023.

Days after his brother was killed, Blac Youngsta has spoken out about it and he now wants revenge.

Last Friday (August 18th), local news networks reported that a man was shot to death while at a gas station in South Memphis, Tennessee earlier that morning. The rapper confirmed speculation on social media about the man being Blac Youngsta’s brother through his Instagram Stories on Sunday (August 20th).

https://x.com/beastbizz/status/1693418117660107153?s=46

“I Love U My Baby Brother Rest Up,” he wrote. “I’m Gone Make The World Pay. I Swear To God. Nobody Safe. Standing Over Everybody. Everybody. 4LIFE.” He’d continue: “I’m Ready For Whatever Come With This Shit. It’s Ok. Don’t Feel Sorry For Me. I’m Not Gone Feel Sorry For Nobody. Only God Knows.”

The Collective Music Group artist concluded: “Gone Make Sure They Feel Me. I Promise. Life Will Never Be The Same. But God Got Me. I’m The Strongest Man N The World.” Sadly, the death makes it the third brother that Blac Youngsta has lost in a violent manner. He spoke publicly about the death of Ronnie B, who was also shot and killed in a Facebook post in 2016. The rapper also lost his brother, a rising rapper who went by the name HeavyCamp TD in a shooting in Miami, Florida in 2019.

Tomanuel Benson was shot at the Valero B.P. gas station at 9:30 A.M. and was found on the scene by police officers. Law enforcement officials have not been vocal about their initial impressions of the incident, declining to say if there was a person of interest. They did ask the public to contact them if they heard anything. Witnesses who were nearby the gas station claimed they saw a vehicle drive by when shots rang out loudly, with one striking Benson. He would then be rushed to Regional Hospital, where he would succumb to his injuries. South Parkway East
