It’s a new year, meaning new Apple/Beats products. To help roll them out, the company enlisted the help of top female athletes Angel Reese, Naomi Osaka, and Sha’Carri Richardson.
The Apple-owned company unveiled the latest model in its long line of over-ear wireless headphones, the Solo 4. At launch, the Solo 4 headphones will cost $199 and promise up to 50 hours of battery life.
The Solo 4’s exceptional battery life can be attributed to the lack of active noise cancellation, a must-have feature now more than ever. It’s a bummer the Solo 4 headphones do have it, but Beats promises the other features make up for the lack of noise cancellation.
Those features include wired audio and passive tuning, allowing the Solo 4s to continue to work when the battery is dead and plugged in without sacrificing sound quality.
The Solo 4 also features custom acoustic architecture and supports native software on both Android and iOS devices.
Beats Also Announces The New Solo Buds

Beats also announced a new entry-level wireless earbuds model, the Solo Buds, which cost $79.99. While they might not be a premium offering, Beats still promises the Solo Buds will offer users “big Beats sound in the smallest case we’ve ever made.”
Also, for a $79.99 price point, you’re not getting ANC (active noise cancellation) or a charging case, but Beats boasts the Solo Buds will offer 18 hours of use on a single charge; after that, you have to plug up via USB-C.
The Solo 4 headphones are now available for pre-order and launch on May 2 in Matte Black, Slate Blue, and Cloud Pink.
The Solo Buds will arrive sometime in June, along with Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and Transparent Red color options.

Cordae and Naomi Osaka are basking in the new parent life, as the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, earlier this month. Congratulations are in order for Grammy-nominated rap star Cordae and tennis champion Naomi Osaka. On Tuesday (July 11), the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, People reports. The couple first announced that they were expecting back in January. “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update […]
Naomi Osaka took to social media on Tuesday (March 21) to show off the her baby bump, just months after it was revealed she’s expecting her first child with Cordae.
The tennis pro shared a series of snaps from a street in Japan, wearing a cropped green jersey with her last name and the number 97 emblazoned on the back, her baby bump adorably peeking out in front. She paired the top with a pair of voluminous oversized jeans, beige and gray sneakers, large gold hoops and a baseball cap by On.
Osaka’s more than 2.7 million Instagram followers couldn’t get enough of the sporty on-the-street shoot. “Mama in Japan…better not delete this!!!!!!!” fellow tennis champ Sloane Stephens commented using the Japanese flag and a heart eyes emoji, while a fan wrote, “it’s giving mommy.”
Others were quick to compare the four-time Grand Slam champ to the also-pregnant Rihanna, with one follower writing, “Cordae really saw Asap and said hold my racket” in reference to RiRi’s relationship with A$AP Rocky and another commenting, “okayyy!! it’s giving Rihanna.”
While her latest carousel is the first time she’s posted her pregnancy on her feed, Osaka first revealed she was expecting at the start of the year by sharing a snap of her ultrasound. At the time, she didn’t mention the identity of the baby’s father, but her spokesperson confirmed to Billboard that she was, indeed, welcoming the bundle of joy with Cordae.
Last month, the “Two Tens” rapper sat down with Billboard to discuss his new PUMA x HI-LEVEL collection as well as his friendship with regular collaborator Anderson .Paak.

After withdrawing from the upcoming Australian Open, Naomi Osaka announced that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Cordae.
On Wednesday (Jan. 11), the tennis star shared a statement in Japanese and English through social media accompanied by a photo of an ultrasound with the caption, “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023.” In the statement shared from her notes app, the four-time Grand Slam champion said: “These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to.”
She continued: “I realize that life is so short, and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’, haha. 2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me, and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024.” Osaka signed off, “Love you all infinitely.”
Osaka withdrew from this year’s Australian Open, an event she has won twice in her career. She has been highly open about her mental health struggles in the past, at one point taking an indefinite break from tennis in 2021. The 25-year-old only played 11 tournaments in 2022 and hadn’t played a full match since the U.S. Open last August. Off the court, she’s been busy as the highest-paid female athlete, which included starting her own talent agency last year which signed Nick Krygios as a client.
She has been dating Cordae since 2019, with the rapper being a prominent fixture by her side since. Osaka dedicated a loving post of acknowledgment after her 2020 U.S. Open finals win, expressing how he dropped everything to support her even though she was “still convinced he doesn’t understand the rules of tennis lol.”
Congratulations are in order for Cordae and Naomi Osaka, who are expecting their first child together.
The 25-year-old pro tennis player shared the happy news via Twitter on Wednesday (Jan. 11), posting a photo of an ultrasound. “I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure,” she wrote. “I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha.”
The athlete did not mention Cordae in her post, but the rapper’s rep confirmed to Billboard that he is indeed the father.
While the couple is about to embark on a new journey in their relationship, they’ve been romantically linked since 2019. We’ve compiled a full timeline of Cordae and Naomi Osaka’s relationship, which you can check out below.

Cordae found his name trending on Twitter starting on Wednesday (Jan. 11) after his girlfriend, Naomi Osaka announced she was expecting her first child. Fans of the rapper and tennis superstar are naturally celebrating the news and getting off jokes at Cordae’s expense but it isn’t mean-spirited in the least for the most part.
Cordae, 25, and Osaka, also 25, have been quite the pair over the past few years with the talented rapper often seen courtside supporting his lady. Since 2019, the couple has been going strong, and the addition of a little one all but signals that this is a union that was meant to last. We should note that while Osaka never mentions the DMV rapper, it can be assumed that he is indeed the father.
In Osaka’s announcement, she shared a photo of an ultrasound showing off the couple’s upcoming bundle of joy along with the promise that she’ll make a return to the court and says her child will be there cheering mom on. For Osaka fans, the news comes with the caveat that she’s intending to take off the entire year of 2023 but will make a return to the court in 2024.
“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure,” Osaka tweeted yesterday. “I know that I have much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha. 2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024 (Australian Open).”
Cordae hasn’t been terribly active on social media, last tweeting on Jan. 5 writing “I feel like I’m the underdog” and “just until 2 ??” in a pair of tweets.
As it stands, congrats are in order for the happy couple and the reactions below are saluting Cordae for what people are saying is the A$AP Rocky package of wifing up and having a baby with a bonafide star. In all seriousness, we’re very happy for the couple.
