Rumors about the wedding started circulating Saturday night (July 24) online, when magazine Quien published photos of the couple on social media, with Aguilar wearing a long, embroidered dress. In one, she appeared walking holding the arm of her father, fabled ranchera singer Pepe Aguilar, and in the other, she faces Nodal, wearing an off-white suit, at the altar.

While many fans speculated the photos could be from the set of a music video, sources confirmed to Billboard that the couple indeed got married. The wedding took place in a private ranch in Morelos, a couple of hours outside Mexico City. Other photos of the couple have also surfaced on social media.

The relationship between Aguilar and Nodal, two of the most promising names in Mexican music, came to light two months ago.

According to sources, Aguilar, 20, an Nodal, 25, who had recorded together back in 2020, reunited after Nodal ended his relationship with Argentine trap star Cazzu, with whom he recently had a baby. The Mexican superstar and Cazzu publicly announced their breakup on social media on May 23, stating they still have a respectful and amicable relationship.

At the time, Aguilar and Nodal noted they had been friends for years.

“It is not a new relationship; it’s the continuation of a story that life made us pause so we could grow and miss each other. Because when we let go, we returned even closer,” Aguilar told HOLA! at the time. Since the announcement, the couple has kept a low profile, although sources said they were deeply in love.

Ángela Aguilar was honored with the Musical Dynasty award at the 2024 Billboard Latin Women in Music ceremony, which aired on June 9, where she was also the youngest of the eight honorees.

Billie Eilish Prank Called Tyler, the Creator Pretending She Pooped Her Pants and His Response Was: Been There… Recently

While some people think pranks are the pinnacle of the comedic arts, Billie Eilish just hates them. They make her anxious and uncomfortable, so naturally she agreed to participate in Elle Magazine’s “Phoning It In” segment, where she called up her famous friends and label team just to totally mess with them.

“I am filled to the brim with anxiety right now,” she says at the beginning of the 10-minute segment. After passing on Zoe Kravitz for logistical reasons, first up was Barbie star Margot Robbie, whom Billie called with a pretend ask about using the actress’ home for a video shoot after a previous location fell through. “Please don’t pick up, please don’t pick up,” Eilish whispered to herself anxiously as the phone rang.

Using her pop juggernaut powers to bust through Robbie’s airplane mode while the star had her phone shut down on set and laughing as Margot praised Billie’s Hit Me Hard and Soft album (“dead, dead dying”), an embarrassed Eilish was even more rattled asking the for the fake favor. “I ordinarily would say f–k yeah, but we are packing up our house tomorrow,” Robbie said sweetly as Eilish squirmed in her chair.

Doubling down while looking for a back-up, Eilish casually mentioned that there would be 200 extras coming along, requiring a lot of inside and outside space. Eilish could not keep up the facade, though, falling apart and admitting the joke as Robbie laughed and said she was seriously “racking my brain” to find a solution. “I hate pranks so much, I don’t even know Margot like that!” she told Robbie, who laughed off the bit with good humor.

Next up on Eilish’s “most embarrassing day” ever, was a call to her Darkroom label CEO Justin Lubliner to casually pretend she’s quitting music, a bit that made her want to “throw up right now” as she noted that “my body is a temperature it’s never been.” Trying her best to play it straight, Billie revealed, “I can’t do this anymore, like I am going to quit music and I’m not doing this anymore.” Lubliner was concerned about her first of all, asking if she was okay, while Eilish had to keep doubling-down on the fake news and saying there was nothing he could do to change her mind.

“Forget business for a second, can you tell me what’s going on?,” Lubliner said as Eilish could not hold it in anymore and revealed the joke. A shook Lubliner said, “that really hit me deep… you sounded really upset. I was about to pull up to wherever you are and give you a hug. That’s where my head went.”

Shaking, she called up pal Tyler, the Creator with a bit she came up with about messing her pants. “Okay Tyler, you’re not gonna believe what just happened to me and I need help so bad,” she told the rapper. “Dude, I’m on a date. I’m in the bathroom and I s–t my f–king pants.” Tyler’s response was, naturally, “Fire. Honestly? Fire. You deserve it!” Eilish said she was close to his house and wondered if she could swing by to change.

“I’m in Atlanta!” Tyler explained, as Eilish asked if she could still swing by his L.A. home for a shower and clothes. Tyler said no problem, but then had questions, like, how did it happen? “I thought it was a fart and then it just kept going,” Billie explained as she giggled at the phone and Tyler tried to figure out how she didn’t know she was passing more than gas.

Once she told him the truth, the singer said the silence from the MC who had his own prank-adjacent show called Loiter Squad was perfect. “That’s the content that they’re doing for journalism now?” he asked. “Nice, look, I sharted like two months ago,” he added.

Amazed at how nice everyone was being, Eilish pressed on, calling her friend Dakota Johnson to see if the Madame Web star had any advice on playing a baby in a movie. Wondering if it’s a good script and asking pertinent questions, Johnson sweetly tried to help when Eilish inquired about a good dialect coach for making baby sounds. “That’s the question?” Johnson wondered. “I was gonna ask you if it was a prank!” Johnson added shortly after of the ridiculous query, dispensing with what her actual question was going to be: “don’t you have enough money already?” The segment ended with Johnson threatening to get Eilish back twice as bad.

Eilish is slated to kick off the Hit Me Hard and Soft tour on Sept. 29 in Quebec at the Centre Videotron.

“The sound of millions of Aussies roaring at the same spectacle, I’d like to hear that,” she says in a promo, a reference to the code’s “I’d Like to See That” campaign in the ‘90s. “100,000 passionate fans roaring at the mighty MCG,” says adds in the clip posted by the AFL, “I can’t wait to hear that.”

The AFL’s big day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28.

It won’t be the first time Perry has performed at the MCG for a major sporting event. In March 2020, just days before the pandemic shut borders and venues everywhere, Perry sang at the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, an abbreviated format of cricket.

Whether she wraps her head around Aussies rules’ unique gameplay and terminology remains to be seen.

Perry is, of course, on the musical comeback trail. Earlier this month, she dropped “Woman’s World,” her first new music since 2020’s Smile, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

The song serves as the lead track to her upcoming, long-awaited dance-pop album, 143, which is code for “I love you” and is due to arrive on Sept. 20. “Woman’s World” hasn’t set the charts on fire. The track bowed at No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100, one of her 36 appearances on the tally, and No. 47 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart.

Kesha Claims New Album Will be Even Better Than ‘Animal’

In a recent interview with Paper Magazine, the singer opened up about the significance of her upcoming album – her first as an independent artist following her legal battle with Kemosabe Records founder Dr. Luke, whom she accused of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse in 2014.

The producer has consistently denied Kesha’s allegations and sued her for defamation, but the two settled the case before it went to trial last year.

Now, fresh off the release of her Joyride EP on July 4, which included her independently released single of the same name, Kesha is reveling in her newfound creative freedom ahead of another album release. “This is the first album I’m making where I’m 100% in control of everything,” she told Paper. “It feels like it’s my first album.”

“It feels divine; it feels like it stands for a lot. It’s really beautiful, and I cannot wait to share it. It’s maybe the most beautiful time of my entire life! I am so excited I got to work with the people I did and capture this moment in time, and put it onto something other people can listen to.”

“It’s been deeply life-changing and profound to make this album, but it’s also the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. If you thought Animal was fun, just fucking wait.”

The “TiK ToK” hitmaker also drew parallels between her current creative state and the mindset that produced Animal, her 2010 debut that stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

“This is the first time in my life I’ve felt similarly to how I did in that point in my life, when I was making music from a purely joyful place,” Kesha explained.

“It’s all really 100% me. That feels really good, just to step into my own worth, and my own power and not have anything in my mind or the external world say it’s anything but me. It’s pretty unavoidable that whether people like or hate ‘Joyride,’ it’s all me.”

“Joyride” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart and No. 6 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

According to French journalist Thierry Moreau, who posted to X (formerly Twitter), the duo will sing the Édith Piaf classic “La Vie en Rose.” TMZ is also reporting that Dion and Gaga will perform the track.

It would mark Dion’s first performance since she cancelled the dates on her North American Courage world tour before revealing she is fighting Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

Dion herself added fuel to the fire that she’s set to participate in the event after posting to Instagram from Paris on July 24.

“Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world.  I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!” she wrote in both English and French.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has also been spotted in Paris ahead of the Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

On Monday (July 22), pop star was photographed waving and blowing kisses to fans as she stood next to her car. A fan video captures Gaga greeting admirers while peeking out of the vehicle’s sunroof, holding up a hand heart.

The sighting came a few days after the Olympics appeared to tease a special guest at the 2024 Opening Ceremony, by posting a video featuring a person in disguise that many thought to be the 13-time Grammy winner.

In the clip, a hooded figure tightens their metallic belt and wraps a large flag with the ancient sporting event’s logo on it around their shoulders as a cape.

“You haven’t seen anything yet,” the video teased. “See you on 26 July.”

The highly anticipated four-hour spectacle is set to unfold on July 26 along the River Seine and at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

Lady Gaga Will Be Performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

Lady Gaga is taking over the Olympic stage.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this Friday (July 26). Other rumored artists speculated to perform include Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and French singer Aya Nakamura, though none have been confirmed.

Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that Gaga will perform a duet of Édith Piaf’s classic “La Vie en Rose” with Dion, though that report remains unconfirmed. If the “My Heart Will Go On” icon takes the stage, it will mark Dion’s first performance since she cancelled the dates on her North American Courage world tour before revealing she is fighting Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes severe muscle spasms.

Gaga’s trip to France comes in the midst of her teasing that her upcoming seventh album is in the works. Chris Brown’s Legal Problems: A Timeline of Trouble

Brown was accused of co-conspiring, aiding and abetting in a 2017 sexual assault that took place during a party at his house in a lawsuit filed by attorney Gloria Allred on behalf of her client, a woman who will be known as Jane Doe.

According to the lawsuit, a copy of which was reviewed by Billboard, Doe had attended a concert at 1 Oak in West Hollywood, where she was invited to attend an after party at a recording studio where Brown and rapper Young Lo — whose real name is Lowell Grissom, Jr. — were working. When she arrived there, her phone was allegedly taken from her because Brown did not want any phones in the studio. Even when Doe wanted to leave, she claims her phone was not returned and she was then coerced into going to Brown’s house in order to retrieve her phone.

While at Brown’s house, the plaintiff claims alcohol and illicit drugs that she believed include cocaine, molly and marijuana were provided to guests. She also says Brown handed each female guest, including herself, a pill filled with white powder and instructed them to take it to have a “good time.” Doe did not take her pill and instead sought to isolate herself in hopes she would be left alone.

Meanwhile, according to the filing, Doe’s mother — with whom she is usually in close contact — became worried because she had not heard from her daughter and used an app to track the phone’s location to Brown’s house. Using that information, she called the police asking they go search for her daughter. The police did show up, but Brown refused to open the gate and denied them entry to his property.

The police left and the party continued, while Doe claims Grissom was “evasive” and would not return her phone. From there, things took a turn for the worse. The plaintiff alleges that Brown, Grissom, a female guest referred to as Doe X — who is believed to be friends with Brown and Grissom and to have toured with them — and others planned to use drugs, alcohol and intimidation to “coerce and force unwilling female guests to perform sexual acts for Defendants and others.” They allegedly lured the female guests into a bedroom and then falsely imprisoned those unwilling to voluntarily engage in sexual activity by going so far as to barricade the door and then further “coerce, intimidate and sexually harass the unwilling female guests to commit sexual acts” on the defendants and others.

Brown, Grissom, Doe X and other unnamed defendants were accused of sexual battery, gender violence, hate violence, assault, interference with exercise of civil rights, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.

Iggy Azalea Says She’s ‘Very Much the Only Parent’ to Her Son With Playboi Carti

Iggy Azalea is speaking out about her co-parenting relationship to her son, Onyx, with Playboi Carti — or lack thereof for that matter.

The “Fancy” rapper joined the Dinner’s On Me podcast hosted by actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson on Wednesday (July 24), and part of their 44-minute interview found Azalea reflecting on being a “single mother” to her only child, Onyx, whom she welcomed with Playboi Carti in 2020.

“I’m very much a single mother, I’m very much the only parent. No disrespect, but I am not co-parenting, really. That’s just the reality of it. It’s 24/7,” she candidly admitted to the Modern Family star around the 25-minute mark.

Iggy and Carti publicly split later in 2020 just four months after Onyx was born. She dished further on braving the parenthood journey without much of an alleged presence from the Whole Lotta Red artist.

“I owe my success in large part to my mother because she spent so much time with me and she just really gassed me up and made me think I was a superwoman genius, dancer extraordinaire, painter extraordinaire, chef, whatever it was,” Azalea said.

Iggy continued about what she felt was her duty as a mother to the four-year-old: “And it’s important to me, even when my son’s only four, that I know I’m there, instilling that confidence in him and just helping guide him. It’s my job as a parent. I think if you’re going to have a child, you should be prepared to do that and engage in that way. And I really want to. I toured two years with my son on a bus and it was time for that to end.”

Azalea went on to detail that Onyx enjoys some of her work like “Black Widow” with Rita Ora — which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 — and he’s even starting to write some of his own songs while following in his parents’ footsteps.

“He’s been writing songs lately, which terrifies me,” the 34-year-old revealed. “I’m like ‘It’s fine, it’s fine, he’s four. I really don’t want you to be an artist, don’t go in the industry, no.’ But you know I have to support whatever he wants to do and he is four, it’ll change a million times over.”

Azalea previously spoke about her split from Carti during an appearance on model Emily Ratajkowski’s High Low With EmRata podcast in February 2023. Iggy referred to their relationship as “volatile” and she had enough of the “toxic cycle.”

“I had something happen one day with my son’s father and me and it was just like one of those moments where you’re just like, I didn’t wake up thinking this is what my day would be. But by the end of the day, I was on a plane to Los Angeles and I never went back. And that was the end of it,” she said.

The retired rapper added at the time: “I decided in that moment, I have to be more accountable for myself into what I’m doing with my child and even if there are days where I wanna go back to this… I just never would do it. I will never do it. I’m leaving.”

Rakim Wants to Record ‘Summertime Pt. 2’ With Will Smith

Will Smith recently resurfaced a clip of him talking to the legendary Rakim about DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince‘s smash hit “Summertime.”

Last year, while backstage at CBS’ A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop, Smith admitted to Rakim that he was trying to sound like him on the record. “I was absolutely trying to sound like you on ‘Summertime,’” he confessed to the rap legend. “‘Cause I had been screaming all night, and I couldn’t get my ‘happy-go-lucky’ high voice. And then Hula just said, ‘Yo, just gimme that Rakim sh–.’”

In the clip, Will also told the story of how the song came about. The year was 1991 and he and Jeff were already putting the finishing touches on their fourth studio album Homebase when producers Hula and Fingers handed him a CD with a beat sampling Kool & the Gang‘s classic song “Summer Madness” as he was about to head to the airport. He liked the beat so much, he decided to return to the studio to record the song after his flight was delayed, and the rest is history. “Summertime” shot up the charts, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991; helped Homebase go platinum; and brought DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince their second Grammy, for best rap performance by a duo or group. The song can still be heard 33 years later wherever there’s summer.

It has long been speculated that the Paid in Full rapper ghost-wrote the song because of Smith’s cadence. However, Rakim dispelled those rumors in 2016, telling HipHopDX, “When they came out with it, a lot of people thought it was me because of the style he used. But it was one of those things where that was them. I didn’t write it. That was Will and Jeff.”

Rakim commented on the post saying he was down to record a sequel, saying, “Peace Will !! Keep rockin bro, it’s time for SUMMERTIME PT 2 wit me on it !!!! lol.”

Hopefully, that means we’ll get another video like the classic below.

What’s Your Pick for the Best Eminem Album Ever? Vote!

Eminem is the best-selling rapper of all time, with more than 220 million albums sold throughout his Hall of Fame career. In what’s typically billed as a young person’s genre, Em defeated Father Time and has remained a commercial powerhouse for more than 25 years.

In July, the Detroit legend returned with his first project since 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By, as The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) grappled with Em killing off his signature alter ego throughout the conceptual LP.

It was business as usual with Eminem’s 12th studio album debuting atop the Billboard 200 with 281,000 total album-equivalent units sold in the first week, which ended Taylor Swift’s three-month reign at No. 1 behind The Tortured Poets Department.

Trending on Billboard

The victory gave Em his 10th chart-topping album. He also did some damage, invading the Billboard Hot 100 — occupying real estate to the tune of 16 slots on this week’s chart.

Looking back, Eminem’s debut Infinite album quietly arrived in 1996, and the project failed to chart. After linking with Dr. Dre and signing to Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records, Em’s major-label debut The Slim Shady LP served as Em’s proper mainstream introduction. The sophomore effort landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was blocked from the top spot by TLC’s FanMail.

However, that would be the last time Eminem was denied the top spot on the Billboard 200, as every subsequent solo album launched at No. 1 since.

Billboard‘s deputy editorial director Damien Scott ranked every Eminem solo album this week, ranging from Revival at No. 12 to The Marshall Mathers LP topping the list.

Now it’s time to hear from you. From The Eminem Show to Recovery, we want to know your pick for the best Eminem album. Cast your vote below!
