Halsey’s ‘Lucky’ Officially Has a Release Date

She’s so lucky, she’s a star!

Halsey took to Instagram on Wednesday (July 17) to reveal that their new single, “Lucky,” will officially be arriving on July 26. The singer also shared the cover art for the album, which is a blurry, pink close-up of their face, featuring Y2K-inspired sparkles. See it here.

The nostalgic cover art is fitting, as Halsey interpolates Britney Spears’ 2000 hit, “Lucky,” an ode to the lonelier side of fame. “She’s so lucky, she’s a star/ But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking/ If there’s nothing missing in my life/ Then why do these tears come at night?” Halsey sings the chorus in the teaser clip, adding her own twist on the track.

Halsey teased the song earlier this month with an Instagram snippet of the song’s recognizable chorus. “When I was 5, it always felt like Britney was singing directly to me,” they wrote over the video rocking pink hair and a t-shirt that says “Lucky” across the front. “24 years later, these words hit different. love you forever.”

In June, Halsey confirmed that their fifth studio album is complete and on the way, after fans noticed that she had unveiled a cryptic new website titled “ForMyLastTrick.com.” The page boasts several illustrated badges, some of them leading to what appear to be clues about the new album.

Halsey’s new record will follow 2021’s If I Can’t Have LoveI Want Power, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The About-Face Beauty founder dropped a few singles in the three years since, including 2023’s “Die 4 Me” and 2022’s “So Good,” both of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100

Pink Pens Heartfelt Happy Birthday Note to ‘Frustrating, Sarcastic, Gorgeous’ Husband Carey Hart

Pink is raising her glass to Carey Hart on his 49th birthday.

The singer-songwriter paid tribute to her husband Wednesday (July 17) with a heartfelt message celebrating his latest turn around the sun, writing on Instagram, “Happy Birthday to this beautiful, patient, loving, willing, adventurous, fearless, forgiving, loyal, frustrating, sarcastic, gorgeous, humongous heart of a man.”

“No matter how many times life throws you to the ground, breaks you off or just simply tries to break you, you get back up, dust yourself off, and become better,” she continued. “You’ve healed your traumas, on your own, over and over. I watch you do the work, even after being abandoned, and you never let them win. I’m so f–king proud of you. You’re ten times the father, human, husband, or friend they’ll ever be.”

The 44-year-old “So What” musician also shared a carousel of photos of the former motocross competitor, including shots of the couple posing on a boat, hanging out with their kids and sharing a smooch by the beach. The pair got married in 2006 and now share two kids, 13-year-old daughter Willow and 7-year-old son Jameson.

“We’re lucky enough to have you in our lives,” Pink added in her post. “You are big enough to be smaller than me at times, you sleep on the floor of a bathroom when any of us don’t feel well … You go wherever and whenever to the ends of the earth for this crazy family. ?We love you Carebear. We see you. You’re really amazing.”

The celebration comes just a couple weeks after the three-time Grammy winner was forced to cancel her concert in Bern, Switzerland, due to health issues. “I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show,” she wrote on social media at the time.

Pink has since returned to the stage for her ongoing Summer Carnival Tour, performing in Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Brussels so far this month. She’s next slated to take the stage Wednesday (July 17) in Leipzig, Germany.

In a new clip posted to social media, Kim and her sister Khloe Kardashian pose with Bocelli himself as they lip sync along to the popular bit from the fight.

In the clip that aired last summer on Hulu’s The Kardashians, when Kim expressed frustration over her sister’s wedding choices. Kourtney claimed that she chose Dolce & Gabbana for her wedding because it “felt really authentic to me,” but Kim went on the defensive for the ongoing conversation on who copied who, calling out similarities between Kourt’s 2022 wedding to Travis Barker and her own 2014 nuptials to Kanye West.

“I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy?” Kim tells the camera. “Who performed at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? Andrea Bocelli.”

She continued, “You stole my f—ing wedding country and my wedding performer. Andrea Bocelli is my favorite male singer of all time, but I’m copying her dolce vida lifestyle? Okay.”

Chappell Roan Says She’s Trying to ‘Pump the Brakes’ on Fame Due to Fans Giving ‘Stalker Vibes’

Chappell Roan has had one of the fastest, most organic rises to stardom that the music industry has seen in the past decade — but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

While talking to host Drew Afualo on the Wednesday (July 17) episode of The Comment Section podcast, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter got candid about the pitfalls of notoriety. “People have started to be freaks — like, [they] follow me and know where my parents live, and where my sister works,” she said of intrusive fans. “All this weird s–t.”

Roan also revealed she once promised herself years ago that if she ever had fans giving “stalker vibes,” or if her family was ever in danger as a result of her fame, she would stop making music. “We’re there. We’re there!” she told Afualo. “I’m just kind of in this battle … I’ve pumped the brakes on, honestly, anything to make me more known. It’s kind of a forest fire right now. I’m not trying to go do a bunch of s–t.”

Fans can only hope that the Missouri native doesn’t actually quit, but it’s true that she’s reached unprecedented levels of exposure in the months since she dropped her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess last year. After a series of headline-making performances — including at Coachella and Gov Ball 2024 — the 14-track project earned a new peak of No. 5 on the Billboard 200 earlier this month.

It’s not all bad, though. Roan also opened up about the good things her newfound fame has afforded her, including recognition from her idols. “People who I’ve looked up to my entire life are like peers, which is sick,” she told Afualo.

Her biggest pinch-me moment? “Miley [Cyrus] invited me to a party, and I was like, ‘You don’t know that you were my first concert when the Jonas Brothers were opening for you,’” she said, noting that she should’ve gone the Hannah Montana route of using a disguise.

Memphis Bleek on Trying to Get Verse From Jay-Z: ‘I’m On His Neck’

Memphis Bleek has his sights set on a major collaboration.

Jay-Z‘s former understudy has dropped two singles this year — he and Just Blaze linked back up and released “Durag Bleek” last month, and he followed that single up last week with “Bands Up” featuring Kruziano & Dre.

Fans have noticed Bleek getting back in the booth, and now they hope he can talk Jay-Z into giving him a verse. “@memphisbleek might be the one to bring Hov outside for A verse. I know he heard that second half of bands up,” one X user tweeted him.

The two rappers haven’t done a song together since Bleek appeared on Jay-Z’s Blueprint 2 back in 2002. During a run-in with TMZ in 2023, he joked about why it’s been so long since they’ve worked together.

“He know I’m nicer than him,” Bleek said. “That’s why. He know I’ll burn him. He don’t want to put me on no record with him when I’m a smoke his boots. He like, ‘Bleek? Nah, put Bleek away. He too nice right now.’ I’m just nicer than him. That’s why he told me sell liquor.”

In a 2017 interview with Vibe, Bleek talked about doing something else other than making music. “I was in [Jay’s] office and I was telling him I want to transition from music,” he said. “I did music my whole life. I wanted to do something else. I’m a guy who never had a job in my life, my only job was rap. Never had a summer youth [job] — never worked no job, ever. [Not] saying that’s a good thing, so I wanted to try my hand at working. I’m a part of everything [at D’ussé]. I started this thing, when the first hashtag went out it was on my page.”

Jay’s last feature happened earlier this year where he did a spoken word performance on Jeymes Samuel and D’Angelo’s song “I Want You Forever” from The Book of Clarence soundtrack.

Maren Morris Addresses Viral Wardrobe Malfunction: ‘Nothing Embarrasses Me Anymore’

Maren Morris accidentally showed a little more skin than planned while performing at Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July picnic in New Jersey, but the 34-year-old singer-songwriter is taking it in stride.

After people online started circulating a video of the onstage wardrobe malfunction — which involved a denim skirt with a severe side slit giving audience members a clear look down there — Morris addressed the situation with her typical humor in a hilarious TikTok posted Tuesday (July 16). “Hey guyz did anything weird happen today?!?!” she wrote across a video of her looking around nonchalantly, which she cheekily paired with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 smash “WAP.”

“I think I’ll frame the skirt,” she captioned the clip, adding in the comments, “Like, I’ve given birth. Nothing embarrasses me anymore.”

Trending on Billboard

Morris also used the situation as an opportunity to remind fans about her upcoming five-track EP Intermission, which drops Aug. 2. It’ll feature the previously released singles “Cut!” featuring Julia Michaels and the brand new “I Hope I Never Fall in Love.”

“It’s pretty self-explanatory from the title, having just gone through a giant breakup,” she said of the latter track in a recent Instagram video. “Just not wanting to go down that path again, and wanting to keep things casual, and really just lean into the ‘situationship’ of it all.”

The Evan Blair-produced song came about 10 months after Morris filed for divorce from fellow songwriter Ryan Hurd, with whom she shares 4-year-old son Hayes. In her Oct. 2 filing, Morris’ lawyers stated that the ex-couple was “unable to live together successfully as husband and wife,” and were “experiencing irreconcilable differences in their marriage.”
