Ariana Grande’s ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Album Is Bigger & ‘Brighter’ With Six New Tracks

In just over one year, Ariana Grande released her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine on March 8, 2024, then starred in the Oscar-winning movie musical Wicked that hit theaters in November, and has now returned with the Brighter Days Ahead deluxe reissue of that album on March 28.

On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are chatting all about the return of Ari the Pop Star after an active awards season for Ari the Movie Star, discussing why it made sense for the six new tracks on Brighter Days Ahead to live in the Eternal Sunshine world rather than as a new project. We’re taking you to J-Hope’s historic shows in L.A. this weekend in Billboard All Access. The vibes were immaculate at the BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. J-Hope was the first Korean soloist to play a sold-out stadium in the States, and the venue treated fans to amazing “Hope On the Stage” photo opps throughout the venue and, obviously, one of our favorite things: a themed soju cocktail. Which brings us to the number one thing — the merch. They had dedicated merch stands throughout the venue with hoodies, shirts, ARMY Bombs, the adorable photo picket, blankets and more, and the fans were here for it all. And the show? Our Hope delivered a performance fans could only dream of. He started the show with tracks like “what if” and “Arson,” and we died when Miguel joined him onstage for “Sweet Dreams.” His new single “MONA LISA” had everybody dancing, including us.

The BTS section was out of this world. He had everybody ready for OT7 with tracks like “Airplane pt. 2,” “MIC Drop,” “Outro : Ego” and “Boy With Luv.” Before the energy picked back up, he showed us who “Jay” was with “Daydream.” As the show turned up, he performed electrifying tracks like “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and he closed with “NEURON.”

Hobi was so overwhelmed with gratitude all night and continued to speak directly to the crowd. J-Hope, the humble king and entertaining superstar. We can’t wait to see what he does next!

Billie Eilish re-enters the top 10 of the Hot 100.

This is the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 for the week dated April 12. “Birds of a Feather” is back in the top 10, as is Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem.” His “Just In Case” falls to eight. “APT.” is up to seven, while “Lose Control” is locked at six, and “Pink Pony Club” at No. 5. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” slips to four.  Drake’s “Nokia” dials up a new high, as Gaga and Bruno are still at two. And clocking a seventh week at the top are Kendrick and SZA with “Luther.”

Billboard Women in Music 2025 was full of love and sisterhood. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry: We’re here to catch you up on everything you missed at this year’s show. I had so much fun interviewing honorees, presenters and guests with my fellow correspondent, Jazzy. By the way, some of our talent were more starstruck by Jazzy than anyone else. Benedict Polizzi gave our ladies some polite catcalls that made them giggle as they walked in to claim their awards. The room was filled with sisterly love as the women honored each other for their impressive achievements in music, to which only they can relate. Tina Knowles honored her daughters in her speech. Ángela Aguilar’s speech made us tear up as she honored immigrant women and called for their safety. Putting her money where her mouth is, she even had a local children’s choir from the Harmony Project performing with her. Ángela continued to honor under-resourced communities backstage. The party continued in our portrait studio with all the ladies catching up and taking flicks. We had our girl Drew Afualo giving flowers backstage as she interviewed our honorees. And of course, like the Virgo she is, Drew read Billboard Birth Charts. We asked talent to give a love letter to the women of the world and sign it. Making sure to take polaroids of everyone who stepped into our interview lounge for our Billboard polaroid collection. Gracie Abrams thanked Taylor Swift as she accepted Songwriter of the Year before she performed “I Love You, I’m Sorry.” Summer Walker presented the Icon Erykah Badu with her award, and her outfit left us speechless. Billboard’s Group of the Year aespa visited our backstage lounge minutes before heading onstage for the final performance of the night. Back behind the scenes, the night ended on a high note with our Woman of the Year Doechii giving Erykah Badu her flowers. Doechii also made sure to give the women on her team their flowers too. Another memorable Billboard Women in Music for the books!

I’m curious to get your thoughts as far as, like, what were your thoughts on the video? Did Drake deliver, underperform? We’ll start with Mr. Rosenberg on his thoughts.

Peter Rosenberg:

Listen, I appreciate you guys very much. So I’m not gonna hold back here. I only watched highlights of the video. That’s not disrespect. Music videos for me these days. Like I probably watched, “Not Like Us” one time when it came out, was like, cool, right? I just don’t live currently in the space where, like, breaking down music videos is part of my thing. But I saw, like, the little connections people were drawing, yeah, and I it felt like a reach. Like, I’m not saying that it wasn’t little stuff, but it wasn’t enough to, like, honestly, warrant major conversation to me. But again, I’m not like, captain break it down to that degree. I’m like, is it on the surface, then to me, it’s something worth talking about? Like the 50 other- when people broke down the Super Bowl, like, by day two, I was like, All right, no, no, I get it. I don’t need, like, 50 different versions. Yeah, if it takes that long to figure out what we’re talking about, while it’s neat for like, the hardcore nerds,I’m too busy. I’m sorry I got no time. But, yeah, no, it was cool. I’m just, if I’m Drake, I’m just happy I have that big a hit. Like, what’s what’s happened? That’s more interesting to me than whether or not he took subtleties at Kendrick in the video.

Did Drake just curse the NBA’s front-runner for MVP? LeBron James reacts to the LeBron song that’s going viral on social media. And the men’s and women’s Final Four have been officially set for this weekend.

We’re running it all down in this week’s Sports Round-Up. NBA superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been playing like an MVP all season, but fans are now concerned about the infamous Drake Curse. Shai just made a cameo in Drake’s newly released music video for his song “NOKIA.” But fans were quick to comment that Shai and his team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, may now have the infamous Drake Curse, which is a theory that sports fans have about when Drake publicly supports or bets on a team, the team tends to lose. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how Shai and the Thunder will perform in the playoffs.

From a new face of the league to one of its most iconic, LeBron James. A parody of MJ’s “Man in the Mirror,” renamed “Man on the Lakers,” is going viral thanks to online creator IMAKEPARODYZZ. The parody has inspired many TikToks using the viral song and even a cover of the parody from Baylor University’s men’s choir, and it caught the King’s attention. He shared his reaction to the song after his game on Monday. And LeBron was not the only one to react to “Man on the Lakers.” Some of the stars of March Madness also shared their favorite LeBron parodies.

What is your preferred prerecording ritual? My preferred prerecording ritual is meditating. Meditating is super important for me to just clear out my ears. I like to be as authentic as possible.

When do you like to record? I like to record at night. My voice is a little raspy right when I wake up. You don’t want that.

What kind of vibe do you like in the studio? Essentials only. I get very irritated if there’s distractions — too many bodies, people talking while I’m trying to record.

Extracurricular activities? No, get out.

What kind of treats do you prefer in the studio? I prefer sweet treats in the studio, mostly fruit. I don’t really do, like, junk food.
