Jelly Roll Launches Losers Run Club: ‘We Are Trying to Inspire … Change and Belief and Community’

Over the past year or so, Jelly Roll has been open about his dedication to working to transform his health. Last year, he ran his first 5K, taking part in Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer’s 2 Bears 5K.

Now, the country star is gearing up to run his second 5K race in May in Tampa, Fla, and he’s intent on helping others who also want to change their health for the better. The “Halfway to Hell” singer told fans on Instagram Feb. 11 that he is launching Jelly Roll’s Losers Run Club as he gears up for the race.

In the video, he also told fans just how much his poor health was impacting his daily life, and how that inspired him to want to change.

Trending on Billboard

“A little bit over a year ago, I literally struggled to walk down my hill to the mailbox, y’all. I mean, it was really bad,” Jelly Roll said in the video. “And I’d let myself get to the point of being absolutely just disgusted with myself. I was just sick and tired of it, and I was like, ‘Man, I’m gonna figure this out. And about the time I was trying to find something to motivate me, I saw that Tom Segura had teased doing a 5K By May, and I knew right then that if there was ever a place that I was gonna feel safe trying to do my first 5K, it was going to be at the 2 Bears 5K.”

As he launches Jelly Roll’s Losers Run Club, the star said he’s launching a Facebook group, and has teamed with the Strava app to help others train for the race and stay motivated. Jelly Roll’s trainer Ian Larios will be helping people who take part with lifestyle, nutrition and exercise coaching. Meanwhile, ultramarathoner Matthew Johnson put together two plan options — one for beginners, as well as an intermediate plan — for partakers to train for the race.

“Matthew Johnson has the fastest time running across the state of Texas,” Jelly Roll said in the video. “This man is an absolute machine. I love everything about him, the fact that he is dedicating the next 12 weeks of his life to try and help me and a bunch of people like myself to run in a 5K.”

“What we are trying to inspire here is just change and belief and community,” Jelly Roll summarized of the group’s mission. “Somewhere where you can go and feel judgment-free when you’re trying to figure this thing out. I know how rough it was at first and how embarrassed I was to just be sucking snot and air every time I walked down the driveway. But it felt so good to have friends and people behind me, telling me I was doing the right thing. … I believe that we can create huge change right here. I believe a huge group of people can come together right here and encourage each other to become what they always dreamed they could be.”

African American Couple With a Pack of Marijuana and a Joint

Valentine’s Day is this Friday (Feb. 14) and we’re already seeing the evidence of such with flowers, cards, and candies on full display online, where we shop, and beyond. For Valentine’s Day, we’ve put together a cannabis gift guide for the lovers out there, even those flying solo.

With Valentine’s Day falling on a Friday this year, we can expect every restaurant that’s been buzzing online to be fully booked and that there won’t be many empty spaces where folks socialize as couples take to the streets. Beyond the cute dates and nightlife, some folks will stay indoors and find ways to connect in loving ways. Safely adding cannabis to the could have some very positive effects, especially for couples.

In this roundup, we’ve got some brands we’ve featured in previous cannabis gift guides along with some items especially tailored for sexy time. Also, we’ve got devices that can be shared with your loved one, rolling papers, cones, and other communal applications to enjoy each other’s time with a little enhancement. We even have drinks for those engaging in the California sober trend (and we’ll cover that trend very soon too).

I want to wish our readers a happy, safe, and enjoyable Valentine’s Day. As I always like to say, indulge responsibly and keep your wares tucked safely away. We’ve got a lot of celebrating to do this weekend and for the rest of the year.

Tems Joins San Diego FC Ownership Group as Club Partner

Tems is joining San Diego Football Club’s ownership group as a club partner through her company The Leading Vibe, the club announced on Wednesday (Feb. 12). She becomes the first African female to be involved in MLS ownership.

“I am thrilled to join San Diego FC’s ownership group and to be part of a club that celebrates creativity, culture and the power of community,” Tems said in the press release. “Football has a unique way of bringing people together, and I am excited to help build something special in San Diego, a city that thrives on diversity and innovation.”

San Diego FC announced earlier this week that Issa Rae also joined as a club partner.

The Nigerian singer-songwriter-producer (real name Temilade Openiyi) is joining the soccer club in partnership with Pave Investments, an African private investment firm that was involved in leading a group of strategic investors to invest in NBA Africa in 2021. Tunde Folawiyo, chairman of Pave Investments, and Kwamena Afful, founding director of Pave Investments, are also joining the San Diego FC ownership group.

According to the release, Tems’ status as an icon of empowerment and cultural connection aligns with San Diego FC’s vision to unite communities through the global game, and these new additions to the ownership group will bring their individual global platforms, influence and personal commitment to amplify the mission of Right to Dream Academy — a youth association football academy system — and San Diego FC: to inspire and empower communities meaningfully on and off the pitch.

“Tems is an extraordinary artist and cultural force worldwide. We are honored to have her join our Club and bring her visionary perspective to San Diego FC,” SDFC CEO Tom Penn added. “Her passion for empowering the next generation aligns perfectly with our mission, and her commitment to creating opportunities for young talent domestically and globally reflects the core values of Right to Dream. We also look forward to creating meaningful connections between the music world and San Diego FC, uniting communities through the shared power of culture and sport.”

Patrick Mahomes Opens Up About Building a ‘Great Friendship’ With Taylor Swift

Patrick Mahomes is happy Taylor Swift is in his circle. During a press conference ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl, the player opened up about what it’s like having the pop star in his life since she started dating Travis Kelce — from getting her support at Kansas City Chiefs games to welcoming her into the Mahomes family.

“Taylor being at all the games has been awesome,” the quarterback began in a clip posted by KMBC 9 News Tuesday (Feb. 4). “It’s been awesome to showcase her bringing light to the sport that I love and getting little girls like my daughter into it and watching the game.”

“I just know Taylor better now and I feel like I’ve built a great friendship with her,” Mahomes continued. “And my wife [Brittany Mahomes] and Taylor have a built a friendship as well. It’s just cool to see how football can bring people together from every aspect of life.”

Trending on Billboard

The press junket comes just a few days ahead of the big game Sunday (Feb. 9), which will see the Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles and attempt to make history with a record third Super Bowl win in a row. The “Fortnight” singer is expected to attend as she did last year, and has been present at home games throughout the 2024-25 season.

Since Swift first started dating Kelce in summer 2023, the couple has gone on a handful of double dates with Patrick and Brittany, including attending the U.S. Open as a group in September. The Mahomeses share three kids — 3-year-old Sterling, 2-year-old Bronze and newborn Golden — and the quarterback has also previously talked about how the 14-time Grammy winner has bonded with his oldest daughter, telling reporters Monday (Feb. 3) that the two of them get in the kitchen together sometimes.

“[Taylor] has made different treats that have been around my house — muffins and doughnuts and stuff like that,” he said. “Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes.”

Watch Patrick Mahomes open up about his friendship with Swift below.

Here’s How Travis Kelce Reacted to a Question About Proposing to Taylor Swift at the 2025 Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is less than a week away, meaning championship rings are on a lot people’s minds — but is Travis Kelce thinking about another type of ring for Taylor Swift?

While speaking to reporters at the Super Bowl’s opening night in New Orleans Monday (Feb. 3), the tight end was asked whether he plans on popping the question to his superstar girlfriend at the Kansas City Chiefs’ ultimate game against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. In response, Kelce smiled coyly.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” he replied cheekily.

Trending on Billboard

Engagement rumors have surrounded the New Heights podcaster and Swift since early on in their relationship, which began in the summer of 2023. In fact, this latest bout of ring-related speculation mirrors similar questions Kelce dodged ahead of last year’s Super Bowl, which Kansas City went on to win against the San Francisco 49ers.

But while he didn’t clear anything up at Monday’s press conference, Kelce did gush about the “Fortnight” singer’s culinary abilities. “Oh, she is quite the cook,” he said at one point before revealing his favorite dish Swift makes: “Her Pop Tarts are unbelievable.”

“I better hold up my end of the bargain, right?” Kelce added of Swift’s work ethic elsewhere in the Q&A session. “She’s up there being the superstar that she is and never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure.”

The opening night press junket comes one day after the musician attended the 2025 Grammys, to which Swift arrived solo in a Chiefs-red dress with a “T” charm attached to the hem. She didn’t win any out of her six nominations, but the “Karma” artist did inspire several viral moments during the ceremony’s broadcast, from snagging Janelle Monáe’s jacket to dancing with Alicia Keys’ son Genesis.

The award show marked Swift’s first Grammys since closing out her billion-dollar Eras Tour in December. At one of the run’s final stops, the songwriter played at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome — the very same stadium where the Super Bowl will take place Sunday (Feb. 9).

While performing “Midnight Rain” at the venue Oct. 28, Swift did one of her boyfriend’s signature dance moves and held up three fingers, seemingly hoping to prime the stadium for a record third Chiefs Super Bowl win in a row. On Monday, Kelce was asked about the gesture.

“We both, we love to manifest things,” he replied, smiling. “Whatever she was doing, I’m sure it helped. And for me, not being able to be here supporting her during those weeks, it made me feel like I was there.”

Jordan Davis, Wife Kristen Share They’re Expecting Baby No. 4 With ‘Full House’-Inspired Video: Watch

Jordan Davis and his wife Kristen are expecting their fourth child in June.

The five-time Billboard Country Airplay chart-topper revealed that his family is growing by posting a humorous video that opens with Davis standing by a pool and sipping on a beer, as the theme song to the TV series Full House plays in the background.

“Well, this is a dude, well a dad. Three beautiful children,” he says in a voiceover. “What’s better than three? What’s better than three is four.” Meanwhile, the video shows footage of some of his older children crying, and one of them rolling a toy truck into a balcony wall.

“That’s where we’re gonna be at come June. Baby Davis No. 4,” he adds. “Look out! Now you may be thinking, ‘How’s this dude gonna do it?’ … But, the dude abides. 2025’s gonna be a big one. Namely because, we’re gonna be welcoming a brand new baby. Love to meet you, baby Davis — I’m gonna need a few more of these things.” Davis then takes a long swig of his drink.

“Let’s keep the party going,” he says as the clip concludes.

Davis captioned the video with a humorous note, writing, “To contribute to the Baby Davis #4 diaper fund, please stream my music and buy tickets.”

The couple wed in 2017, and are parents to Eloise (5), Locklan (3) and Elijah (19 months).

Davis’s upcoming shows for 2025 include stops at iconic Texas venue Billy Bob’s, as well as a performance at Tortuga Music Festival. Meanwhile, his current single “I Ain’t Sayin’” is in the top five on the Country Airplay chart. Last year, Davis’s song “Next Thing You Know” won song of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. He wrote the track with Chase McGill, Greylan James and Josh Osborne.

Watch SZA Freak Out After Keke Palmer Asks Her If Drake Was a Good Kisser: ‘He Must’ve Been Terrible’

It’s well known that SZA and Drake dated way back when — but is the Certified Lover Boy a good kisser? That’s what Keke Palmer set out to uncover on First We Feast’s latest episode of Hot Ones Versus posted Tuesday (Jan. 21).

While taking on the spicy-wing challenge alongside Issa Rae, the Nope actress grilled her One of Them Days costar about her past romance with Drizzy. “Is Drake a good kisser?” a grinning Palmer asked SZA, knowing that the “Saturn” singer would have to endure a bite of absurdly hot chicken if she didn’t answer.

The Grammy winner then hilariously freaked out as the Barbie star and Palmer cackled. “That’s why I said ‘f–k you’ in advance,” SZA hit back. “I knew you were gonna do something that was so …”

Trending on Billboard

“He must’ve been terrible,” the True Jackson VP alum teased as SZA prepared to take a bite in lieu of answering the question, which prompted Rae to say, “The fact that you don’t want to say [yes or no] is very telling.”

“We were children!” SZA pleaded. “We were children — 2009, we were children.”

Indeed, the “Kill Bill” musician and Toronto rapper were much younger when they dated — about 20 and 23, respectively — more than 15 years ago. SZA previously opened up about the romance in her 2023 Rolling Stone cover story, saying that they “were really young” and “childish.”

“It wasn’t hot and heavy or anything,” she added at the time. “It was like youth vibes.”

Justin Bieber Says He Didn’t Unfollow Wife Hailey Bieber on Instagram: Here’s What Happened

All appears to be well in the Bieber household, even though Justin Bieber temporarily had fans wondering after his account unfollowed Hailey Bieber on Instagram this week.

Shortly after the internet noticed that the “Baby” singer was no longer following his famous wife on the platform — prompting people to flood social media with questions regarding the couple’s relationship status — Justin cleared the air with a message on his Story Tuesday (Jan. 21).

“SOMEONE WENT ON MY ACCOUNT AND UNFOLLOWED MY WIFE,” claimed the Grammy winner in the since-deleted post. “S–T IS GETTING SUSS OUT HERE.”

Trending on Billboard

Those who were confused can rest assured that Justin has re-followed Hailey on IG. The short-lived unfollowing saga comes just three days after he shared a sweet photo of himself and the Rhode Skin founder holding hands on a recent ice-skating date.

The Biebers married in 2018 after years of on-and-off dating. In August 2024, the singer and model welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Jack Blues.

The whole family recently went on a ski trip to Aspen, photos from which Justin also shared on Instagram. In one blurry snap, his 4-month-old son appears to be all bundled up while outside in the snow, and in another picture, the “Peaches” musician snuggles up with Jack.

Justin has been taking time off from music for about four years, revealing in 2022 that he’d been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and had “full paralysis” on one side of his face. His most recent album, Justice, spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2021.

However, the artist appears to be in the process of teasing his next era. While in Aspen with his family, Justin also shared photos of himself producing a track on his computer and singing into a microphone in the studio. A few days before that, he uploaded a 24-second clip of a track he’s been working on, featuring the lyrics: “B–ch I’m takin’ bait/ I’m takin’ it/ You takin’ bait/ I’m shakin’ it/ You’re shakin’ it/ Shakin’ off the hate.”

Bang Chan of Stray Kids Is ‘Stoked’ for His New Fashion Venture: ‘The Story Has Just Begun’

Bang Chan already has his musical family as part of boy band Stray Kids, and now, he’s found his fashion family.

As announced Thursday (Jan. 16), the 27-year-old K-pop star is the newest face of Fendi, with the fashion house appointing him brand ambassador and rolling out a new campaign featuring Bang Chan modeling menswear. In one video posted by the company on Instagram, he poses in a striped scholastic sweater and tie, showing off a chic yellow bag and black leathery satchel for the camera.

“The story has just begun,” he says in a voiceover.

Posting behind-the-scenes photos from the campaign shoot onto his own Instagram page, Bang Chan wrote, “Stoked to be part of the new @fendi family,” adding a hand-heart emoji.

Trending on Billboard

A release promises that Fendi’s collaboration with the performer will yield “innovative collaborations that will resonate within the realms of music and fashion.”

“I felt an immediate connection to Fendi with its creative and fun spirit,” Bang Chan gushes in a statement. “It is my honor to join the Fendi family in its 100th anniversary year, which makes it even more special.”

The news comes just a few weeks after Stray Kids dropped its mixtape HOP in December, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The project marks just the 19th K-pop album to top the chart, as well as the octet’s sixth title to reach the chart’s summit.

Just before the LP’s release, Stray Kids appeared at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, performing Billboard Hot 100 hit “Chk Chk Boom” and “JJAM.” At the ceremony, the group also won Top Global K-Pop Artist.
