The bombshell allegations that Diddy abused and raped Cassie have been rocking the Internets since the story broke on Thursday (Nov. 16). But one particular detail that has social media enthralled is the claim that a jealous Diddy had Kid Cudi’s car bombed because he dared to date Cassie.
While the myriad of accusations Cassie lobbed at Diddy in her lawsuit are vile, Cudi’s involvement is straight out of a Tubi movie, if true. Back in 2012, the Cleveland rapper’s career was couple of years after the release of his sophomore album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager and a year before the arrival of its follow-up, Indicud. But according to the court documents, that same year, according to Cassie, Diddy was so mad about her dating Cudi that she claims he threatened to blow up the “Day N Nite” rapper’s car.
Apparently, the suit claims: “Around that time Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.”
But the kicker is that Cudi confirmed. “This is all true,” reportedly said his spokeswoman.
So while most recently Kid Cudi was in his Star Trek bag at Comic-Con in NYC, on this days his love life, from a decade ago, has become the stuff of Internet scandal. What a time.
Check out some of the wildest reactions in the gallery.

Kid Cudi made a public call supporting the people of Palestine and calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and the Hamas organization on social media.
On Sunday (Nov. 5), Kid Cudi weighed in with his take on the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas organization that has been raging since the group’s attack and kidnapping of hostages. In a heartfelt message on Instagram, the rapper began: “The things I’ve been seeing in the news have been breaking my heart. I can’t watch what’s happening in the world and remain silent. I can’t imagine the pain people are feeling.”
Citing “generations of family members” dying as a spur to his speaking, the Entergalactic artist continued: “I know some people are gonna disagree with me, but that’s ok. As a Black man, I stand against all forms of oppression. And as an artist, I feel responsible to give a voice to the unheard, and to celebrate the spirit of all people through my work and my presence. It matters to me that my art represents my deepest beliefs about what I think humanity can look like.”
Kid Cudi expressed his support for the Jewish people, saying that he “condemned any violence” against them before adding: “But let’s be clear, supporting Palestinian liberation is not antisemitic, it’s human. Palestinians deserve their freedom. This isn’t politics, these are real lives. And I’m just a dude who gives a f–k about humanity.” The statement comes after several artists including Drake, Killer Mike, Kehlani, Macklemore and others sent an open letter to President Joe Biden and Congress demanding a ceasefire.
“I stand with the people of Palestine as they demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the ongoing genocide. My heart goes out to all my brothers and sisters of all faiths and backgrounds who are suffering. Free Palestine!! With Love, Scott,” Kid Cudi finished.

Kid Cudi is set to add his creative talent to the Black comic book world with Moon Man, which HipHopDX describes as “a superhero saga being marketed as a contemporary reimagining of Miracleman.”
Over the weekend, the Cleveland rapper unveiled the project, which is set for release on Jan. 31, 2024, at New York Comic Con. For Moon Man, Kid Cudi, born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, teamed up with artist and director Kyle Higgins.
“I’ve been secretly workin on this for over a year and it’s finally happening,” the “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper posted on Instagram. I’m so f*ckin hype for u all to dive in. If you’re into comics, my hope is that this will be your new obsession. Lot of love and hard work went into this, I am so proud to finally reveal my baby to the world.
Told y’all I was cookin up something special, in a world you’ve never seen me in,” he continued. “MAD SOLAR taken over mane!! Love to IMAGE Comics team for riding (with) me on this one and believing in my vision.”
Listen: In an industry that is still hurting for more Black writers and illustrators, witnessing the launch of a comic series by a prominent Black creative has to warm the hearts of blerds everywhere. But it’s not the only new move the “Cudi Zone” artist is making with fellow creatives.
From HipHopDX:
In more music adjacent news, Cudi teamed up with friend and longtime collaborator NIGO to create a new clothing line earlier this month.
In the beginning of October, the Cleveland rapper took to Instagram to announce WZRD CWBY, “a new brand by Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, in collaboration with @nigo,” which he said would be “coming soon,” though no date was given.
He added that it was “Made in Tokyo,” though whether that was referring to the products themselves or the location of the brand’s headquarters is unclear.
This is Cudi’s second clothing line of 2023. He launched Members of the Rage this past summer at a department store in London. Billed as “90s grunge with the soul of hip hop and elements from a distant future,” Cudi originally planned to debut the line in Paris in 2022.
Recording artist, actor, comic book author, fashion designer—is there anything Kid Cudi doesn’t do, besides suffer the homophobic nonsense of fools?
Salute!

Homophobic and sad and will be miserable their whole lives.” Some of his fans responded to him and showed empathy. “Its more the ignorence, Im not insulted. Looks like Kid Cudi has a knack for making horror films these days as the X actor is now set to be star in a zombie film unlike any other you’ve ever seen.
According to Deadline, the Man On The Moon rapper has been cast to star in a new zombie-comedy film dubbed Hell Naw (kinda close to NOPE there, y’all) which was penned by Oscar-nominated screenwriters Keith & Kenny Lucas (Judas and the Black Messiah) and produced by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. Not a bad team if you ask us.
Though the plot is being kept under wraps for the time being, we do know that the film will be set in Paris during Fashion Week when a zombie outbreak takes place and of course hilarity will ensue.
“This movie has been five years in the making. I am telling the world now, this film will f*ck you up in all the best ways,” said Mescudi. “I have been a horror fan since I was 7 years old, The first horror movies I ever saw were Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead. And from that point on, I was hooked on the feeling of being frightened. I’ve been wanting to get into this world creating my own stories for a long time, and now, and after years of working it out in my head, it’s finally happening. Sam, The Lucas Brothers and myself have really crafted a tale we feel everyone who’s a fan of horror and comedy will enjoy. You will laugh, oh yes you will, but the horror aspect of this movie will really be something to see. You will be shook. I promise. Y’all know I don’t play around.”
We not gonna lie, even with the small amount of information we have on this film, we already can’t wait to see Kid Cudi fight off freshly dressed zombies in Paris. We don’t know why, we just do. Won’t be surprised if he kills off a zombified “Kanye West” out there for good measure. Just sayin.’
No word on when the film will go into production or when it’ll hit theaters but best believe we’ll be checking for it when it hits theaters.

Kid Cudi, Berry Gordy, Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan and Quinta Brunson are slated to be among the honorees at the fifth annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television. Hosted by actor/comedian Bill Bellamy, the event will take place on Monday, Dec. 5 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
The celebration, sponsored by the Critics Choice Association, will recognize honorees in 15 categories.
“The Celebration of Black Cinema & Television has grown tremendously over the last five years,” CCA CEO Joey Berlin said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to recognize such outstanding projects across both film and television, and to honor these incredible actors and filmmakers for their work.”
“It has truly been a year to celebrate,” added CCA board member Shawn Edwards, who is serving as executive producer of the event. “The unprecedented amount of content about the Black experience on film and television made it very difficult to choose our honorees for this milestone year. And our special Icon Award honoree, Berry Gordy, pushed open a heavy door during the ’70s and ’80s through his Motown Productions with a string of movies and TV series that helped pave the way for future Black storytellers.”
The show will be televised on KTLA in January and shown nationwide on Nexstar stations throughout the month of February to tie in with Black History Month.
The show is produced by Madelyn Hammond and Javier Infante of Madelyn Hammond & Associates.
