Taylor Swift‘s relationship with Travis Kelce has been a touchdown for the NFL, which has benefited in multiple ways since the two publicly became an item in the fall. On Sept. 24, the rumored romance between the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seemingly confirmed when Swift was seen cheering on Kelce […]

Did we lose another recipe? X users believe the Swag Surf has been gentrified after Taylor Swift and co’s flavorless attempt at the dance.
The world’s most famous Chiefs fan, Taylor Swift (insert sarcasm), has become a fixture of NFL Sunday conversations. Usually, most of the conversation is about cameras constantly cutting to Swift and her friends to see the ridiculously popular singer’s reactions to whatever her beau, Travis Kelce, does something on the field.
That continued to be the case during the Chiefs NFL Wild Card matchup with the Miami Dolphins this past weekend. Swift once again went viral for her custom Nike puffer jacket to battle the extreme cold and her flavorless attempt at doing the Swag surf.
A clip shared on the Sunday Night Football official account on X, formerly Twitter, showed the “Bad Blood” singer butchering the dance made famous by Fast Life Yungstaz for their song “Swag Surfin.”

The jokes were immediate, and so were the fears that melanin-deficient publications and websites would somehow credit Taylor Swift for the song’s popularity, and as expected, that happened.
Black Twitter, yes, we are still calling it that was up in arms after Sporting News dropped an article with the headline:
“What is Swag Surfin? Everything to know about Chiefs’ viral dance celebration as Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce participate.”

The article literally broke down the dance and eventually had to be updated with the dance originating in Atlanta.

Even Plies chimed in on the matter.
“I Luv Seeing Taylor Swift & The Kansas City Chiefs Rock Out To “Swag Surfing” On Sundays. But Media Let’s Stop Acting Like They Created It! Let’s Give Props To F.L.Y, Atlanta & The HBCU Community For Birthing The Phenomenon!!” the rapper said in a post on X.

Not one lie detected in Plies post.
We are sure Taylor Swift meant no harm, but boy, did they try it.
You can see more reactions in the gallery below.

2. He definitely tried it

The Kansas City Chiefs are Swifties! Tight end Jordy Fortson Jr. took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend to post a video singing along to Taylor Swift’s 1989 hit, “Bad Blood,” in celebration of his team’s playoff win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday (Jan. 21). The song choice is fitting, as Swift was […]

Taylor Swift fans attending the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills playoff game are in for a tasty treat. The 34-year-old pop superstar is expected to attend the matchup in support of her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, whose Chiefs will take on the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, on Sunday (Jan. […]

Taylor Swift spent Christmas morning cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as the Chiefs took on the Las Vegas Raiders.
About an hour before kickoff on Monday (Dec. 25), the pop superstar entered the Missouri stadium alongside a person dressed in a Santa Clause costume and wished onlookers a “Merry Christmas.” She was then joined in a suite by her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, along with her brother Austin Swift and his girlfriend, Sydney Ness.

In the spirit of the holiday, Swift donned a red Santa hat with the tight end’s jersey number — 87 — on the white trim. The “Anti-Hero” singer also rocked a festive look for the game, wearing a red sweater and black plaid skirt.

Swift wasn’t the only celebrity in attendance at the showdown, which found the Raiders defeating the Chiefs, 20-14. The game was also attended by Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark, who won Collegiate Women’s athlete of the year. Brittany Mahomes and Sterling Skye Mahomes, the wife and daughter of Chiefs quarterback, were also seen at the event.

Swift and Kelce were spotted walking hand-in-hand after the game. Kansas City Star photojournalist Nick Wagner shared an image on his Instagram of the couple strolling through a hallway at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Spent my Christmas waiting for these two lovebirds,” Wagner wrote alongside the snapshot.

Last week, Mahomes opened up about what it was like for the Chiefs to witness their teammate begin a romance with one of the most famous women on the planet.

“At first, I feel like everybody kind of stayed away, let [Kelce] do what he was doing,” Mahomes said in a sit-down with CBS Mornings‘ Nate Burleson.

“Then he started bringing Taylor around and we realized how cool of a person she was,” he continued. “So for us, there was a couple jokes here and there at the beginning. But now, she’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom. She’s part of the team.”

It was a very merry Swiftmas at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday night (Dec. 10). Taylor Swift was supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium when Clark Hunt, who is a co-owner and CEO of the Chiefs, and his family surprised the “Anti-Hero” singer with a sweet gift, just […]

If you had Patrick Mahomes joining Madden NFL 24’s 99 overall rating club, pat yourself on the back because you were absolutely correct.
Friday, EA announced that Patrick Mahomes is the final NFL superstar joining the 99 overall rating club in Madden NFL 24. This selection will be Mahomes third, tying him with New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Shockingly Mahomes is the only quarterback joining the club, with Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow with a 95 rating.

Mahomes joins Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald, Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin, and his teammate’s favorite target Travis Kelce.
EA also released the full list of the top-rated Quarterbacks and Linebackers in the game.
Quarterbacks                                                                          Linebackers

Patrick Mahomes 99                                                 1. Fred Warner 96
Joe Burrow        95                                                    2. Roquan Smith 92
Josh Allen           94                                                    3. Lavonte David 91
Lamar Jackson   91                                                    4. Haason Reddick 90
Jalen Hurts         88                                                    5. Demario Davis 90
Justin Herbert   87                                                    6. Bobby Wagner 89

Tua Tagovailoa  83                                                    10. Shaquille Leonard 86

Jalen Hurts Should Be Very Upset
We’re shocked to see Jalen Hurts come in with an 88 rating, at Aaron Rodgers sitting at an 86 overall rating, falling out of the 90s club.
We won’t be surprised if actual NFL players look at these ratings in disgust and are mad that they did not get a 99 overall rating in Madden NFL 24.
Welp.
Madden NFL 24 arrives on August 15. ESPN and Madden NFL are releasing the full ratings in an hour-long special this Sunday, July 23, at 1 p.m. ET, hosted by Field Yates, Dan Orlovksy, Mina Kimes, and Louis Riddick.

We called it, Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce is back in the Madden 99 Overall Rating club.
EA continues to roll out Madden NFL 24 ratings highlighting the highest-rated superstars by their dominant positions.
Travis Kelce is the latest player to have the honor of being in the Madden 99 Overall rating club, joining Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Rams All-Pro defensive lineman plus current record hold Aaron Donald and Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin, the first guard in the 99 club since Cowboys’ Larry Allen made in Madden 2003.

For Kelce, this is his fourth selection to the Madden 99 Club, and he currently holds the record for tight ends. Along with the Kelce news, EA also dropped the top 10 lists for highest-rated tight ends, including Kelce and cornerbacks in the game.
Cornerbacks                                                                            Tight Ends

The Top 10 Running Backs & Offensive Linemen

Yesterday, the company did the same with guards and running backs who surprisingly won’t have a representative in the Madden 99 Club, which adds to the current disrespect of the NFL running back. Browns running back Nick Chubb comes the closest with a 97 overall rating.
Running Backs                                                                        Offensive Linemen

Nick Chubb        97                                                    1. Zack Martin 99

Which Quarterbacks Will Land In Madden NFL 24’s 99 Club?
We believe EA is saving the best for last, which is quarterbacks, and again we think there is a good chance we might see two or maybe three QBs in the Madden 99 Overall club in Madden NFL 24.
Will Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes make it again, will Madden NFL 24’s cover athlete Josh Allen or Eagles phenom Jalen Hurts earn their first 99 overall rating?
We shall see in the coming days.
Madden NFL 24 arrives on August 15.

Andy Reid is best known as one of the best football minds in the NFL today, but nobody would confuse him for being an expert on modern-day Hip-Hop. During a media session on Wednesday (Feb. 8), the Kansas City Chiefs head coach was asked to name the top three rappers alive and the results were hilarious.

Andy Reid, 64, was at the podium fielding questions from members of the media ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday (Feb. 12). Among the reporters in the room, former NFL player Brandon Marshall used the moment to test Coach Reid’s Hip-Hop knowledge and the results were actually shocking.

“Do the Fat Boys count as one rapper?” Reid fired back, according to a report from local outlet The Kansas City Star. “All right, Jay-Z, shoot, I don’t know. I’m missing Master P. Yeah, I’m giving you all the old ones. Lil Wayne, wasn’t he just at our place? Who was just at our place?”
As the outlet notes, the name Coach Reid was searching for was Lil Jon, who was a halftime performer at the AFC Divisional Playoffs game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars at Arrowhead. Close, but no cigar, kind sir.
We’re actually impressed that Coach Andy Reid had the swiftness to name that many rappers but it figures that many of the stars he’s coached over the years blasted their tunes and put Reid up on game.
Check out the hilarious exchange below.
