Jonathan Majors, one of Hollywood’s hottest stars at the moment, was arrested Saturday night (May 25) in New York on assault and other charges in the wake of a reported domestic dispute. As news of the arrest went wide, many on social media came forth adding to the allegations of abuse and the like with onlookers rendered shocked by the arrest.
TMZ was among the first outlet to report on the arrest of Jonathan Majors, this after police responded to a 911 call around 11 AM local time in Manhattan. According to corresponding police reports, Majors was booked on strangulation, assault, and harassment charges.
TMZ obtained a quote from a rep for Majors, who denies that the actor was involved in any wrongdoing.
“He’s done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” the rep said.
The outlet, by way of sources, say that the woman who brought charges against Majors is his girlfriend. According to the source, the girlfriend saw another woman texting Majors and tried to look at his phone thus leading to him allegedly slapping her and putting his hands around her neck.
On Twitter, the reaction to Jonathan Majors and his arrest has been all over the place with some defending the 33-year-old star and others coming forth with their own stories of allegations.
Majors starred in two major motion pictures this year in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III. As a result, Majors was seen as the newest “It” star but this current situation has many questioning their initial support.
We will update this post should further developments arise.

Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors made sure to send love Angela Bassett’s way.
Following Angela Bassett’s loss or “snub,” her Black Panther co-star Michael B. Jordan and his new bestie and Creed III boxing partner Jonathan Majors came through with some support giving her a shoutout before presenting the Oscar for Best Cinematography.
For those who didn’t tune in or didn’t care to watch the 95th Oscar Awards, Bassett, who was heavily favored to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her stellar performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, didn’t do the thing losing out to Jamie Lee Curtis for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once adding to the film’s epic night.
Many also feel Jamie Lee Curtis’ co-star Stephanie Hsu was “snubbed” and should have taken home the Oscar.
Once Jordan and Majors hit the stage, the Creed III director said “Hey Auntie” to Bassett, a nod to the popular line from the first Black Panther film. Majors told the iconic actress, “We love you.”

Twitter, who was still in their feelings about the “snub,” did appreciate the moment from Jordand and Majors. “Some real gs. Those few words = a whole conversation understood by many of us. What’s understood doesn’t always need to be explained,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Michael B Jordan to Angela Bassett: Hey Auntie. Jonathan Majors to Angela Bassett: WE love you IM CRYING,” another user wrote.

Angela Bassett Has Not Said Anything About The Oscars Moment
Bassett has yet to comment on the night and whether or not she felt she was the victim of another snubbing. She didn’t bring home the gold statue for her brilliant performance in the Tina Turner biopic, What’s Love Got To Do With It.

Speaking with CBS Mornings earlier this month, she spoke about it, saying, “Of course, in the moment, you’re hoping and praying and wishing … but I don’t walk away thinking I’ve been robbed,” she said. “That’s too negative of an emotion to carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Rocky who? Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, Creed III, has made history.
Michael B. Jordan is laughing his so-called “corny” self to the bank despite some red-carpet shenanigans that sparked ridiculous podcast debates.
Creed III, the third installment in the Rocky spinoff franchise, knocked out the competition bringing in an estimated $58.7 million at the domestic box office this weekend, exceeding the initial $30 million projection from the studio per The Hollywood Reporter. With that haul, it earns the bragging rights for having the biggest opening weekend for a sports film.

The film also pulled in $41.8 million overseas this weekend, bringing the film’s total box office earnings to $100.4 million.

“This is beyond all of our expectations. And we knew that we had something special — we tested the movie, and it tested great, but the public responded so resoundingly to it,” Erik Lomis, MGM’s head of distribution, said, speaking with the Associated Press. “Everything went right here, starting with the movie itself … It was just up to us not to break it when they gave it to us, and we didn’t.”
No Sylvester Stallione, No Problem
Creed III marks the first time Sylvester Stallone, who appeared in both Creed and Creed II, is not in the film. He was not missed thanks to Jonathan Majors, who fills in the role of Adonis’ former friend turned rival Damian in the film.
Speaking on how his new buddy Jordan sold him on the role, Majors told Entertainment Weekly, “The thing that got my attention was how he was pitching it, with so much passion and clarity, and that this would be a character coming in who we’ve not seen before. I thought it was a huge opportunity to join the franchise and also to work alongside Michael and learn everything he’s experienced in his twenty-plus years of working in this industry.”
Creed III is currently on track to be the highest-grossing film in the franchise and could top out at $150 million, besting Creed’s $109.8 million and Creed II’s $115.7 million.

Michael B. Jordan has been the talk of the internet, but this latest news has nothing to do with a debate about him being “corny,” looking at you, Joe Budden.

Easily one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, Michael B. Jordan now has a star on the Walk of Fame, one of Hollywood’s most significant accomplishments, on Wednesday, March 1

The honor was first announced by The Hollywood Walk of Fame selection panel in 2021, and Jordan’s name was on a list that included television mogul Byron Allen and the late Hip-Hop star Nipsey Hussle.
His friend and frequent collaborator, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and his new buddy and Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors were on hand to deliver kind words about Jordan before he was given his star and plaque.
This latest accomplishment in his career came ahead of Creed III’s release, which Jordan directed, and critics are raving is the best film in the boxing movie franchise.
This is probably one of the most unforgettable weeks I’ve had,” Jordan said at the ceremony. “I’m extremely humbled and grateful to be here … I know it’s not a small achievement. It’s not lost on me how special this moment is and what this represents to our community, so from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you.”
Jonathan Majors & Ryan Coogler Came With The Glowing Words For Michael B. Jordan
Ryan Coogler and Jordan are now a formidable Hollywood 1,2 punch since Fruitvale Station. Coogler spoke on their history and recalling meeting a young Jordan in Starbucks by Universal Studios to discuss him possibly starring in the film.
The rest is history after that, with Jordan and Coogler working on other films like the first Creed film and Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
For his speech, Jonathan Majors had nothing but kind words about his buddy pointing to the long days on the Creed III set and how Jordan’s determination. “Today, brother, you go from man to god,” Majors said.
“You sit among Olympians. I honor you, I love you, and we are all so proud to call you our son, our brother, but chiefly, I am extremely honored to call you my friend. No man on the planet I know deserves it more. I love you to the moon and back,” Majors continued.

Congratulations to Michael B. Jordan, and see Creed III immediately. It’s fire.
