Another Black star from Max’s Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, has to waste their time to call out a racist troll.
Spotted on TMZ, Actress Bethany Antonia shared how she handled a racist wasting space in her Instagram DMs, sharing a screenshot of the troll’s message to her in her Instagram Stories while adding a clever joke for good measure.

In the screenshot shared by Antonia, who plays Lady Baela Targaryen in the Game of Thrones spinoff, the troll insults her, even wishing she died on set.
Showing her followers the hate she receives for playing a character that was originally white in the George R.R. Martin books, Antonia cleverly clapped back at the racist hater, adding, “Wait till they find out I’m gay too.”
In another post, Anotonia shared a photo of herself smiling with crystal hair art with the message, “Y’all won’t ruin this first glimmer of dragon joy for us negroes.”
To drown out the racist hate Antonia was receiving, fans have taken to her posts’ comment sections to shower her with support.
Per Blavity:
Fans have rushed to Antonia’s side, running to her comments to share some much deserved love.
“Hi coming on here to counteract the hate you’re getting in your dms!! hope you’re well + you’re the prettiest

The anticipated Game of Thrones spinoff featuring Jon Snow is not going to happen, according to the actor playing the beloved character.
A Game of Thrones spinoff show project featuring Jon Snow is no longer in development by HBO, according to Kit Harrington, who played the role during the show’s entirety. The British actor revealed the news during an interview promoting the crime thriller Blood For Dust, which he has a starring role in.

“I hadn’t really ever spoken about it, because it was in development,” Harrington began. “I didn’t want it leaked out that it was being developed, and I didn’t want the thing to happen where people kind of start theorizing, getting either excited about it or hating the idea of it, when it may never happen. Because in development, you look at every angle, and you see whether it’s worth it.” The show was slated to begin airing in 2028 according to projections.
He continued: “And currently, it’s not. Currently, it’s off the table, because we all couldn’t find the right story to tell that we were all excited about enough. So, we decided to lay down tools with it for the time being. There may be a time in the future where we return to it, but at the moment, no. It’s firmly on the shelf.” The news comes as House of the Dragon returns for its second season and another prequel series, A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms, has reportedly begun casting with an air date in 2025.
The Jon Snow-centered spinoff first got traction in 2022, when a leak compelled series creator and author George R.R. Martin to confirm that HBO had begun work on the show with writers and showrunners on board who were brought in by Harrington. The show, tentatively titled Snow, would begin after the events ending Game of Thrones where Jon Snow killed Daenerys, his lover (and aunt).
“I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly,” Harrington said while at a Game of Thrones convention in December 2022 when asked about the warrior’s fate. “At the end of the show when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded and he wants to be. He’s done. The fact he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.”

When Game of Thrones ended their riveting 8-year run with a lackluster and disappointing final season in 2019, many fans were skeptical of HBO’s planned prequel series, House of the Dragon as we were still salty about how things played out in the original adaptation to George R.R. Martin’s brainchild.

Interestingly enough the series not only surprised critics with an enticing and exciting storyline, but left fans wanting more after it’s debut in 2022, and more we shall get as HBO released it’s first teaser trailer for the second season to their newest hit show.

Picking up where season one left off, the new teaser trailer to House of the Dragon which asks fans to choose a side in the upcoming war between King Aegon’s Green Council and the Black Council which is that of Queen Rhaenyra. Though we have an idea of how this will end given that Game of Thrones takes place hundreds of years later and basically spelled out the events of this feud, we still can’t wait to see it play out before our very eyes as we’ve learned that drama and dragons go pretty well together.
To amp up the upcoming season, HBO dropped a few dueling trailers to get fans to choose a side (black or green) and we just know that if Wesley Snipes was here he’d say “Always bet on Black” but in this case, it’s kind of a tossup.
With that being said, when the hell is HBO gonna give us an update on that Jon Snow spinoff series that we were promised two years ago?? We desperately want to see what the OG King of The North is up to after killing his queen/lover/aunt, Daenerys Targaryen. Just sayin.’
Check out the trailers for House of the Dragon and let us know if you’re as amped as we are about the second season in the comments section below.

True Detective: Night Country had television fans in a chokehold every Sunday night, and HBO is rewarding creator Issa Lopez for delivering a masterpiece.

Issa Lopez will helm the fifth season of the HBO anthology series True Detective under a new, well-deserved overall deal with the cable network.

Variety reports the decision was a no-brainer following the show’s success in its fourth season, starring Jodie Foster and fan-favorite Kali Reis, where Lopez put a more supernatural spin on the show this time.

Per Variety:
The renewal comes as little surprise, given the success of “Night Country,” which saw Jodie Foster and Kali Reis star in the fourth installment of the HBO anthology series. Per HBO, the season is the most-watched installment of the show to date, with 12.7 million cross platform viewers. The season finale on Feb. 18 was the most-watched episode of the season, drawing 3.2 million viewers across HBO and Max. That represents a 57% increase over the show’s premiere viewership in January.
Issa Lopez Is Excited To Run It Back
Speaking about returning for a season 5, Lopez said, “From conception to release, ‘Night Country’ has been the most beautiful collaboration and adventure of my entire creative life. HBO trusted my vision all the way, and the idea of bringing to life a new incarnation of ‘True Detective’ with Casey, Francesca, and the whole team is a dream come true. I can’t wait to go again.”
Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO drama series and films, adds, “Issa Lopez is that one-of-a-kind, rare talent that speaks directly to HBO’s creative spirit. She helmed ‘True Detective: Night Country’ from start to finish, never once faltering from her own commendable vision, and inspiring us with her resilience both on the page and behind the camera. Alongside Jodie and Kali’s impeccable performances, she’s made this installation of the franchise a massive success. We are so lucky to have her as part of our family.
True Detective is one of HBO’s most consistent shows, and we can’t wait to see what Lopez cooks up with season 5 and who will be starring in it.

Two women who have been previously involved with Jonathan Majors have now come forward publicly with allegations of abuse by the movie star.
A new report from the New York Times released on Thursday (Feb. 8) has revealed that two former girlfriends of actor Jonathan Majors have come forward to publicly accuse him of abuse. Emma Duncan, who was engaged to Majors from 2015 to 2019, and Maura Hooper who dated Majors from 2013 to 2015 are the women who made their claims to the press. The allegations come two months after the former Marvel actor was convicted in New York on charges of reckless assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari stemming from an incident last March.

The women initially gave accounts of their experiences with him in interviews and statements delivered to the court before Majors’ trial under the Molineux rule which allowed the court to determine if the prosecution could submit evidence to show a past pattern of behavior. Duncan stated that Majors was emotionally abusive during their relationship, and had also choked and bruised her at several points in addition to making disturbing threats against her. Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ defense attorney, said in a statement that Majors denied those acts but also said he was “choosing to take responsibility for his own part in that toxic relationship, focusing on himself, and addressing his lifelong depression.”
Hooper’s statement also contained allegations of emotional abuse directed towards her by Majors while they were students at the Yale School of Drama, including one instance where he told her he’d “rip you out of my heart the way they ripped our baby out of you” about an abortion she had months into their relationship. Chaudhry’s statement says that Majors remembers the “mutually intense conversations” but “regrets saying hurtful things.” Ultimately, the court didn’t allow the statements to be entered into evidence.
In separate statements to the New York Times, two women who worked on the set of HBO’s Lovecraft Country with Majors in 2019 delivered statements of their confrontational experiences with Majors which made for a “hostile work environment.” Multiple women crew members had complained to higher-ups at the network about his behavior, forcing HBO to compel him to deliver an apology to the women, which he reportedly did so gruffly, saying it was “a misunderstanding.” Chaudhry said that Majors had “never been told that anyone objected to his behavior.”

Curb Your Enthusiasm, the long-running HBO comedy series starring Larry David has delighted fans since 2000 and is returning for a new season next year. Sadly, for fans of the well-meaning curmudgeon that is Larry David, this will be the series’ final season.
Curb Your Enthusiasm follows the exploits of Larry David, who most know from being the co-creator of fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s Seinfeld television series. While it is a fictionalized version of David, the show features a number of real-life celebrities as themselves and follows an improvisational yet plot-based style throughout.

In a press release statement, David, 76, shared his, ahem, enthusiasm in his usual clever way as he sends off the grumpy yet lovable character in style.
“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character, David writes. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”
Returning to the series are Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, Vince Vaughn, and Tracey Ullman along with a cast of other celebrities as is the Curb Your Enthusiasm experience.
The show has been pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good for years and we’re thankful for the laughs, Larry David. Enjoy saving lives in your new career as a physician.
The 12th season airs in February 2024.

Yesterday (July 31), fans of HBO’s hit series, Euphoria, were heartbroken to learn that one of the show’s brightest stars, Angus Cloud, had passed away at the young age of 25.

News of Cloud’s passing began spreading quick on social media on Monday afternoon (July 31) as his Euphoria character, Fez, quickly became a fan favorite and catapulted him to stardom over the past few years. Though his cause of death hasn’t yet been revealed, his family’s statement seemed to imply that Cloud was dealing with some mental health issues due to the passing of his father.
Vulture reports:

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Cloud’s family said in a statement confirming the news. “As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
As a fan of Euphoria, this one hurts, b.
Since taking on the role of Fez when Euphoria premiered in 2019, Cloud quickly gained a following with his nonchalant, yet insightful drug-dealing character. Since then, he’s appeared in ads for Polo and has even starred in music videos for artists like Juice WRLD, Becky G and Noah Cyrus. The man was going places in life, but unfortunately, we’ll never know how far he would’ve gotten.
Rest In Power.

Kanye West’s life right now is a joke that would honestly make for great television, but there was dead a** an attempt by the Chicago rapper to drop a comedy show, and now the pilot has leaked online.

Spotted on Hypebeast, tights, and socks, wearing rapper at one point in his career, wanted to drop a show modeled after Seinfeld creator Larry David’s improvisational comedy show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The show’s aptly titled A Little Inappropriate pilot episode popped up on YouTube. West got help from Curb director Larry Charles after hearing the Chicago rapper expressed interest in making the show modeled after the hit HBO original show after watching one season.
The nearly 30-minute episode featured Ye visiting a fan for the Make-A-Wish foundation only to discover that the fan was not even sick—definitely, a situation Larry David would hilariously find himself in.
Joining West in the show was Don C, GLC, and ironically Curb stars Jeff Garlin and JB Smoove, plus Wyatt Cenac, who also had an HBO series, Problem Areas.
Per Hypebeast, Cenac revealed the “Through The Wire” crafter sucks at improvising but took the advice of Jerry Seinfeld by surrounding himself with talented people who could.
Sadly for Yeezy, that was not enough to get the show’s pilot picked up by HBO or any other network. But, for those BIG SAD that the show didn’t happen, you can watch it by heading here.
Kanye West Is Still Doing The Most
As for West, right now, he is going through it. adidas is getting rid of whatever stock of his ugly ass sneakers that are left, and he’s out in the streets with his “wife,” Bianca Censori, looking ridiculous.

Oh, and he is still trying to ruin our lives and be President of the United States.
Bruh.
