LISA has been on a mission — and it comes to completion on Saturday, Nov. 29, when she launches as Fortnite Festival season 12’s Icon. As part of the Starlux Music Pass, the BLACKPINK singer-rapper’s collab will offer an in-game virtual headlining performance, as well as outfits, accessories and music from her solo debut album, Alter Ego, available as Jam Tracks.
“I’m always looking for fun, new ways to reach my fans, and I love when music, gaming and fashion mix together,” she tells Billboard. “Fortnite is the perfect place for all of that. I had so much fun creating my outfit designs, based on the different characters from my album Alter Ego, and making sure everything was personal and authentic!”
In fact, the star — who portrayed hotel employee Mook in season three of the HBO hit The White Lotus this year — took an extra step to make her contribution to season 12 of Fortnite Festival extra personal. And eagle-eyed fans may have caught the tribute when the trailer for the game’s new season dropped on Nov. 24.
“When Fortnite asked me what I wanted in this collab, I immediately thought of my cats,” LISA reveals. “My pets are such a big part of my life, and so the Back Bling is a little love letter to Louis! It’s my way of bringing a part of my family into Fortnite.”
In the trailer, her beloved furry pal rides on her back as LISA cruises around on a motorcycle, as well as when she’s showing off her moves on the main stage.
“I love how creative everyone gets with their collabs, and the best part is seeing people bring a piece of themselves into the game,” she says of other artists — Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Eminem and Mariah Carey, among many more — who have worked with Fortnite. “Ariana Grande included her pet as a Back Bling, which I thought was so cute!” (The “Thank U, Next” singer’s porcine pal, Piggy Smallz, was featured in 2021.)
LISA also details her level of involvement in this Fortnite collab and her thinking process behind her choices. “I got to work with the Fortnite team, from the art direction to song selection. For songs, I wanted a good mix coming from Alter Ego,” she shares of the music from the album, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in March. “’Rockstar” is for the attitude, ‘New Woman’ for a bold and confident energy, ‘FUTW (Vixi Solo Version)’ for a moody vibe.
“We also used the real dances in emotes, too,” she adds. “The FUTW and Rockstar emotes are very similar to the actual music videos. The Rockstar emote even has a motorcycle as part of it.”
The star notes that the collaboration really allowed her creativity to soar, and reveals one of her favorite parts of the collab. “What I love about Fortnite is that you can create anything,” she gushes. “I really wanted to show the bold attitude of Alter Ego for this collab. The FUTW emote was definitely a highlight for me! Adding those flash accents made every dance move feel exciting.”
Though LISA is far from the first musician to work with Fortnite, she is the first member of BLACKPINK to do so. And while the singer-rapper didn’t say who she’d like to be a Fortnite Festival Icon next, she does want to see all her bandmates do it — perhaps even as a group. She enthuses: “Those are my girls, and it’d be so cool to see all of us together in Fortnite!”
Rooker was happy to reprise the fan-favorite character of Mike Harper.
The motion capture and technology have significantly improved since Black Ops 2.
Rooker was surprised by the lasting impact of the Mike Harper character.
Michael Rooker is back as Mike Harper in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and he had plenty to say about his return to the iconic video game franchise.
The cat’s out of the bag: Mike Harper survived the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, meaning the choice to save him was the correct one, allowing him and his wisecracking self to be a part of JSOC and help Desmond Mason take down the guild, Black Ops 7 reality warping campaign.
HHW Gaming got to speak with Michael Rooker about making his return to the iconic video game franchise, and basically, he’s more than happy to be back.
Michael Rooker Says It Was A Great Choice To Bring Mike Harper Back

The first question immediately was how the game’s developers pitched the idea of Harper’s return in Black Ops 7 to him, and how they made the choice not to shoot Harper in Black Ops 2 the canon decision in the game.
“Oh, come on. Great choice. Mike Harper, fan favorite,” Rooker begins. “That whole concept of making that choice, that moral choice, to shoot Mike Harper, or not shoot Mike Harper. Shoot Mike Harper and save the world. Or hem the world. I’m not shooting my buddy. And that was a big choice for people, for gamers, and it’s a big deal. And so, that really, I think, embedded that character even more in folks’ minds. So now that Mike Harper is back in Black Ops 7, it’s just, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It’s about time. I know that’s what they’re going to be thinking, because that’s what I thought. I was like, “Yeah, well, it’s about time. Why not?”
Rooker Was Ready To Be A Part of The Design Process
Activision / Sledgehammer Games / Trey Arch / High Moon Studios / Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Black Ops 2 was released more than a decade ago, meaning the design process for video games has, for all intents and purposes, gotten more sophisticated.
We spoke with Rooker about taking part in the process for Black Ops 7, and he revealed it’s a bit of a mix of new and old, but
“It was a big difference in the facial motion capture. We have cameras now that record the motion capture for the face, the eyes, the mouth, and all that stuff,” Rooker revealed to HHW Gaming.”Technically, it’s going to be way more detail. They’ve got the making of this game; the chips are different. All the internal stuff that they’re using to put everything together, to make the hair, was a big thing back then. The hair is a big thing. So they’ve gotten way better with that, and it’s just phenomenal stuff. And the motion capture is basically the same. The main thing for me was that it threw me for a loop for about five minutes, until I got used to having this camera in my face and the lights shining in my eyes. Once you’re over that, then it’s basically, yeah, I can do this scene with someone.
He continued, “The ADR room is basically old, tried-and-true stuff. There’s not a lot of big… There may be a lot… There very well may be advances in the recording aspect of this stuff that I don’t know about. I’m not a professional recording artist, or anything like that, so I don’t know the technology that goes in behind that. But I know for a fact that my job inside the studio hasn’t really changed.”
“As an actor, I’m still there, and try to get in the moment, or back to that moment, and make it as real as possible. That’s my goal anyway.”
Rooker Was Suprised At The Lasting Impact of Mike Harper Since Black Ops 2
Activision / Sledgehammer Games / Trey Arch / High Moon Studios / Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
One thing that surprised the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead star was how popular Mike Harper became after his appearance in Black Ops 2, which led the developers to bring him back.
“Oh, you know what? I was surprised back then, back in the day, how popular that character ended up being, ” Rooker revealed. “And they were always telling me, “Oh, this is going to be great. They’re going to love this. People are going to love this.” And they did. People absolutely, absolutely, dug it. And I didn’t really stay with games that much, I did that, but I moved on. I did film and stuff like that. And as you know, gamers and cinema people, kind of different animals.”
“But this is going to be really a good combination now, because we’re getting to a point in gaming, where it’s looking very cinematic, “he continued.
“And now it’s unreal that they’re going to make a film based on the biggest game franchise in the world. So it’s about time, because I’m like, “Yeah, do it, man. Get these gamers off the couch, and into the theater.”
Who knows, maybe Mike Harper will end up in the film adaptation as well; it only makes sense.
You can peep our entire interview, where we touched on other topics above as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is out now.

It’s time to prepare for the future once again. Fallout season two premiered Nov. 17, and everyone, including gamers, is getting hyped.
The Amazon series, based on the successful video game franchise, will be available to stream on Prime Video with a subscription. Episodes will air weekly. The season is set to conclude on Feb. 4, while the show was already greenlit for a third season, according to Variety. The show takes place in the future in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation. The city’s citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits.
The role-playing video games have garnered a massive fanbase over the years, and follow the same premise with tweaks here and there. If you’re not new to the series or game, you’ll know that the aesthetics are pretty epic. The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world with an infusion of retro motifs influenced by the post-war 1950s in the United States. The game’s soundtrack is equally retro, with tracks ranging from the mid-century Jazz Age to the Space Age, such as “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” by The Ink Spots and “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall” by Ella Fitzgerald.

If you’ve watched the show or played the video games, Nuka Cola is a famed part of the Fallout universe, parodying the real-world soda brand Coca-Cola. If you’re looking to snazz up your decor, this Fanattik’s Fallout Nuka-Cola Bottle Cap Tin Sign for $34.99 should do the trick. It’s a subtle show of fandom made of a tin material that can easily be hung on any wall, giving the room a retro feel.

Royal Bobbles ‘Fallout’ The Ghoul Bobblehead

Retailing for $39.90, the bobblehead is another exemplary addition to any Fallout collector’s shelf, giving personality and movement to your growing collection.
Netflix / Netflix Game Night
Netflix has shifted its strategy for its gaming venture and is now meeting its subscribers where they are, in hopes of letting them play games on the streaming service.
It’s been four years since Netflix mightily stumbled into the gaming space, but the streaming giant hasn’t given up on its video game ambitions.
The streamer’s new strategy is to bring games to its millions of subscribers so they don’t have to download a separate app, making them playable in the Netflix app on your televisions and turning your smartphones into controllers.

“Starting today (Thursday), you can play games on your TV, using your phone as a controller — no setup needed, it’s as easy as streaming your favorite shows,” said Alain Tascan, President of Games at Netflix. “You can now go from watching KPop Demon Hunters to playing Pictionary: Game Night without ever leaving Netflix. And for those who love to play anywhere and everywhere, we’re bringing even more games to your phone with our own special Netflix touch.”
You and your friends can play games like Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game, LEGO Party!, Boggle Party, Party Crashers, Pictionary: Game Night, and Tetris Time Warp, allowing you to put on the ultimate game night.
Game Night’s other goal is to keep subscribers logged into the service longer while showcasing smartphone interaction, which the company plans to use for live television events like Star Search, a reboot of the classic television series hosted by Ed McMahon, coming to Netflix sometime next year.
So, are you excited to jump into Netflix Game Night? It definitely sounds like it has some legit staying power.

Along with a refreshed Japanese-only PS5 Digital Edition, Sony announced a new monitor featuring a 27-inch QHD display with a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and variable refresh rate. Still, it caps at 120Hz when used with a PS5.
But that’s not the only feature it has. Sony always loves to add features to its peripherals to help them stand out, so the new monitor includes a charging hook for your DualSense controller.

The PlayStation 27″ Gaming Monitor will be available in both the US and Japan markets, but as of right now, it does not have a price and will hit shelves sometime next year.
The monitor announcement further highlights PlayStation’s foray into PC gaming, following the Pulse Elevate portable speakers unveiled back in September.
The Pulse Elevate portable speakers will also work with PC, Mac, PS5, and PS Portal and will arrive in 2026.
We are intrigued to see what else Sony is cooking to further cement its footprint in PC gaming.

For Riot Games’ goal to elevate women and marginalized genders in esports with its Game Changers initiative, few music-gaming collaborations would make a more natural fit than KATSEYE and Valorant.
The newly Grammy-nominated act’s song “M.I.A,” off their Billboard 200 top 10 EP Beautiful Chaos, is reimagined in a new “Valorant Game Changers Version,” out Tuesday (Nov. 11) ahead of the 2025 Valorant Game Changers Championship finals, taking place this month in Seoul. However, this collaboration carries extra resonance because one of KATSEYE’s six members is an avid gamer who appears to have manifested the team-up.
“I used to just say it on livestream before I even knew anything was gonna happen with KATSEYE and Valorant,” Megan shares, speaking to Billboard exclusively about the new partnership. “So when they presented this collaboration, I was literally so stoked. I’ve been playing this game since I was like 14 years old on my brother’s computer in COVID times; this is so nostalgic to me, honestly.”
Now 19, Megan’s enthusiasm — as well as KATSEYE’s larger message of inclusivity and empowerment — is threaded throughout the reworked anthem, with new lyrics drawing on themes of perseverance and community that stem from the connections in gaming when uplifting one another.
“We all stand behind that anyone can play any game and there shouldn’t be any weirdness,” the Honolulu native adds. “We really, really do think this aligns so much with KATSEYE and our brand. We’re so, so excited to do this collab.”
With several No. 1 Billboard chart hits to its name, Riot Games has leaned into music as a storytelling mechanism for gaming before. However, Valorant Game Changers shines the spotlight on new players in its first-person shooter game, with its global championship in Asia for the first time. The event will run Nov. 20-30 in Seoul, with finals scheduled from Nov. 28-30 at Riot’s LoL Park esports stadium in Seoul. Bringing in Korea-based HYBE and its global girl group KATSEYE positions the collaboration as a cultural handshake between two rapidly growing cultural communities.
“KATSEYE already had a ton of fans across Riot [Games] and in the Valorant community,” Jonny Altepeter, Riot Games’ senior manager of music supervision and A&R, tells Billboard. “When we found out Megan was a VAL player and they were excited to collab, it just made sense.”
For Altepeter, the appeal of reworking “M.I.A” resonated both musically and to the culture within the gaming community: “Sonically, it has that high-energy, bold confidence that works so well in our world. And thematically, it lined up perfectly with the moment we were trying to capture…our artist collaborations are everything. We’re always looking for voices that feel exactly right for a specific moment in our universe. We’re really intentional — and honestly, pretty precious — about VAL music, because we know how much it means to our community. Every artist we bring in is chosen for a reason. They bring something unique that helps elevate the story we’re telling, both in-game and beyond. That level of care and specificity is what sets us apart. We’re not just trying to find good songs… we’re building meaningful creative partnerships that help shape the emotional core of our world. And we’re so grateful to the artists who trust us and bring their full selves to that process.”
Anna Donlon, head of Valorant Studios and the architect behind Game Changers, frames the partnership as precisely the kind of crossover Riot Games built the program to foster.
“When we started Game Changers, the goal was always bigger than just competition,” Donlon shares. “It was about creating a space for players who hadn’t always seen themselves represented in esports. This year’s anthem and music video captures that same spirit, bringing people together, no matter where they come from. Across all our global events, music has been a powerful way to connect players, celebrate them and deepen their bond with Valorant. At the Game Changers Championship finals, you’ll see all of that come to life: the energy, the pride, the love for the game. And having South Korea’s own Ninetails, the first all-Korean team to qualify for the championship, take the stage on home turf? That’s going to make it even more special.”
Altepeter calls collaborations with actual players “hands down our favorite types of collaborations” because players-turned-artists speed up creative chemistry. “When someone already understands our world, everything just flows better…you can always feel that real connection in the final result.”
Check out the results for yourself with KATSEYE’s new video for “M.I.A. (Game Changers Version)” here and read on for more with Megan below.
KATSEYE X VALORANT Game Changers – “M.I.A. (Game Changers Version)”
Riot Games Music
How does it feel remixing “M.I.A” for the Valorant Game Changers initiative?
Megan: “M.I.A” is such a hard-hitting, strong, confident song. Especially with Valorant, since it’s such a cool, fun, very fierce game, I feel like going with “M.I.A” was just the perfect song. Especially [how] it tells a story with determination and perseverance, so I think going with this new reimagined version of “M.I.A” for Valorant was just like a no-brainer decision for all of us.
How did KATSEYE get involved in the program and what did it mean to you also to be here as a player?
Megan: Especially with me being a player myself, I used to just say on livestream before I even knew anything was gonna happen with KATSEYE and Valorant. I was like, “Oh yeah, I play Valorant.” It was just something that I said because it’s something I used to do in my free time. When they presented this collaboration, I was literally so stoked. I’ve been playing this game since I was, like, 14 years old on my brother’s computer in COVID times; this is so nostalgic to me, honestly. So, when we were presented this, I was literally jumping for joy. This is literally my game; I love this game. So it really does mean a lot to me and especially with the Game Changers, with what it represents — it’s just so cool. We’re just all so excited for this collaboration and we’re just so grateful that we’re able to do it.”
What’s your history with gaming and Valorant?
Megan: I grew up with a brother, so a lot of the games that I would play, my brother would introduce them to me. When I was little, I would always want to play dolls with him, but obviously he wasn’t going to play with dolls. So then he would introduce me to computer games like Valorant, Minecraft and those kind of games. And then he was really into Valorant and I was like, “OK, like let me get into this.” And I did. It was just so addictive. Especially during COVID and everything, like that was my sh–. That’s all, really, I could do because no one was going outside and it was a fun way to play with your friends. I feel like it was just a cool thing to do on my free time and it felt so much fun. There’s nothing really more to it than just saying that it was really, really fun and I really am such a competitive person that loves games like these — I thrive in it. [Laughs]
Do you have a go-to agent you play with in Valorant?
Megan: I usually play as Sage, the healer. There’s like this little term for Valorant players that you say they’re the “pocket Sage,” so I would usually be a pocket Sage when I would play with my friends. I would be their support to heal them when they’re dying.
Do you ever play Valorant with any of your KATSEYE members?
Megan: No, I actually haven’t got the chance to yet. I feel like right now we’re like so busy with our schedule, but I really specifically want to see how Yoonchae will play with me. [Laughs] I have to teach her how to be a pocket Sage — I feel like she’d be a really good pocket Sage. Yeah, we really do need one sit-down gaming session, all six of us, to play Valorant and see who’s naturally gifted. I think that Lara would be Jett. I feel like Sophia could maybe be Neon since Neon is Filipino…
This Game Changers program is meant to empower people from different backgrounds and marginalized genders. Have you ever experienced pushback as a girl gamer? Are things changing?
Megan: Honestly, I think it’s better now, but there were times in games where you would turn your microphone on and play with random people who were online, trying to find a group member. It was such a big thing for a second where if a girl turned their mic on, they would start bullying the girl — it happened to me a few times. It was pretty crazy, but then the funniest thing is when you’re really good, as a girl, and they get so mad. [Laughs] But I just don’t understand that, it was a big thing but I don’t think it’s as big of a thing now. It’s just them thinking that I was going to drag them behind and I ended up being the last one standing, pulling through and carrying the team. It’s the funniest thing ever, honestly, I just laugh.
Do you notice any direct link between music and gaming? Does music enhance the experience?
Megan: Music and games are such a big thing and I feel like people don’t really realize how much music is incorporated and how much it like really affects the gameplay. I mean, when you’re in combat mode, you want some good hype-up music and when you’re in more of a chill vibe, you would want like some [chill music], you know what I mean? It really does affect the whole overall vibe. I think Fortnite would play concerts in their games, which was so insane and so, so cool. I love how like they incorporated that in such a fun way. I would honestly love to do a virtual concert one day. I’d love to see how that works — it’s so intriguing.
Rockstar Games / Grand Theft Auto VI
You’re going to have to wait even longer to play Grand Theft Auto VI.
Some unfortunate news to report, gamers: Grand Theft Auto VI has once again had its release date pushed back. Take-Two Interactive announced the highly anticipated game will now drop on November 19, 2026, six months after its original May 2026 release date.
The news of the delay came during the company’s July-September quarterly earnings results.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick didn’t provide a reason for the delay in a letter to shareholders but did note, “we remain both excited and confident they will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience.”
Take-Two also says that recent firings in the UK, which led to the video game company being accused of “union busting,” had nothing to do with the delay.
A statement from Rockstar disputes those claims, noting that the fired staffers “were found to be distributing and discussing confidential information in a public forum, a violation of our company policies” and the cuts were “in no way related to people’s right to join a union or engage in union activities.”
“These two matters are entirely separate, and the reasons that we’ve given for each,” a spokesperson for Take-Two said Thursday. “And I think to conflate the two would not only be misleading, it would be highly erroneous. So these are two entirely separate issues.”
Rockstar Games Shares New Grand Theft Auto VI Release Date
In a separate statement on X (formerly Twitter), Rockstar Games revealed the new release date and shared more insight into the delay.
“Hi everyone, Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve. We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City. Sincerely, Rockstar Games”
Honestly, take your time, Rockstar Games, because Grand Theft Auto VI has to be nothing short of a masterpiece.
