Toxic Avengers: Blueface Leaks Alleged Texts From Lil Baby To Chrisean Rock

Blueface and Chrisean Rock have one of the more toxic public relationships today and it looks like things are going even more off the rails. The Los Angeles rapper posted an alleged series of texts from Lil Baby that were sent to Rock, and Blueface is accusing the Atlanta star of pretending to be a “big brother.”

Blueface took to Twitter on Monday (Feb. 20) and shared the alleged DMs from Lil Baby towards Chrisean Rock writing in the caption, “Met my b*tch one time talm bout he “big brother” [crying laughing emoji] You ain’t no son to me the truth could never be a dis.”

The alleged DMs read, “It’s Baby. Why people saying I was in your DM [crying laughing emojis]. Why you ain’t tell them I’m a big brother. I hate sh*t like that.”

In a following string of tweets, Blueface made veiled threats towards Lil Baby.

“I run this sh*t on sy be mad if you want to b*tch post my messages I’m bleeding anything come thru my Territory without checking In welcome to death row,” read one tweet.

In another tweet, he added, “Anything that makes rock boom I’m all for it even if I gotta look bad I ain’t bring her to the top for you n*ggas to play fake big brother an fake like you want to work for a picture or some p*ssy let’s do business or move around it’s very simple I invested in this long time ago.”

This issue looks to have been brewing for a while after Rock shared during an Instagram Live session that she crossed paths with Baby during Super Bowl Weekend. Blueface was not approving of that exchange as well.

As it stands, many are reacting to Blueface’s tweets and assumed threats towards Lil Baby although he didn’t use direct messages to the rapper’s user name on Twitter.

Mac McClung thrust himself onto the world stage Saturday night (Feb. 18) after winning the 2023 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest in Salt Lake City, scoring three perfect scores along the way. On Twitter, the reactions to McClung winning the Slam Dunk Contest sparked a number of hilarious reactions.

Mac McClung, 24, hails from the small town of Gate City, Va., and has one heck of a story regarding his route into the NBA. After going undrafted in 2021 after playing for Georgetown University and Texas Tech, McClung toiled in the G League teams of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Bulls, and the Philadelphia 76ers. He is now on a two-way contract with the 76ers and is the first G League player to enter and win the Slam Dunk Contest.

What this means for McClung’s professional career remains to be seen but even in the Jordan Rising Stars challenge on Friday (Feb. 17), McClung attempted several spectacular in-game dunks and was said to be an early favorite among the analysts calling the game.

McClung faced off with New Orleans Pelicans big man Trey Murphy III, but McClung’s hops, dunking strength, and acrobatics all coming from a 6-foot-2 frame was just a touch more spectacular than Murphy’s efforts. McClung even showed a lot of swagger by motioning that the contest was over ala Vince Carter, prompting him to get mobbed by a gaggle of NBA stars.

After winning it all, McClung says he wants to come back and protect his new crown.

“It’s great,” McClung said. “I’m truly blessed and grateful to the NBA for giving me this opportunity. If you guys will have me, I’ll be back.”

Twitter Removes Two-Factor Authentication, Phony Stark AKA Elon Musk Gets Blame #TwoFactorAuthentication

Elon Musk is once more in the crosshairs of the public after Twitter users woke up Saturday morning to find that an essential security measure for their accounts was removed. Two-factor authentication via SMS, one of the more normalized security measures for online security, will now exist behind the Twitter Blue paywall and people are letting Musk have it.

While the mandate didn’t come from Elon Musk directly, fears were confirmed by a new post on Twitter’s blog explaining the new move and how two-factor authentication via SMS will change going forward.

From the Twitter blog:

While historically a popular form of 2FA, unfortunately we have seen phone-number based 2FA be used – and abused – by bad actors. So starting today, we will no longer allow accounts to enroll in the text message/SMS method of 2FA unless they are Twitter Blue subscribers. The availability of text message 2FA for Twitter Blue may vary by country and carrier.

Non-Twitter Blue subscribers that are already enrolled will have 30 days to disable this method and enroll in another. After 20 March 2023, we will no longer permit non-Twitter Blue subscribers to use text messages as a 2FA method. At that time, accounts with text message 2FA still enabled will have it disabled. Disabling text message 2FA does not automatically disassociate your phone number from your Twitter account. If you would like to do so, instructions to update your account phone number are available on our Help Center.

Twitter’s explanation did not seem to calm the fears or criticism from the platform’s massive pool of users and many are lashing out saying that this is another tactic from Musk to tear down the once-mighty space.

Jalen Rose Says $100 Is The Minimum For Crispy Lineups & Fades, Twitter Has Thoughts

Jalen Rose has few peers in the world of crispy lineups and intact hairlines, especially in the NBA. The retired Detroit baller and current analyst recently shared that the lowest price a patron should pay for a haircut is $100 and Rose went up for both barbers and beauticians in his statement.

Jalen Rose, fresh at 50, spoke exclusively with Boardroom, the platform operated by Kevin Durant and his partner Rich Kleiman. In the brief video, Rose dispelled wisdom on what it should cost at the starting point to get the shapeups and tapers of your dreams.

“So first off, The minimum you’re supposed to be spending for a quality haircut is $100,” Rose began. “I’m here to defend the sanctuary this is called barbers and beauticians. You know, so many guys and people out here think y’all gonna show up and get a fly haircut and y’all gonna spend $35 dollars.

Rose contained, “Y’all gonna go to the end of the line. Y’all gonna hit up your barber, they gonna send you to the voicemail. You’ll have a 1 o’clock appointment. You gonna get there at 1 o’clock, and somebody gonna be sitting in that chair.”

The video doesn’t share where Rose is but it could be assumed that the interview took place in Salt Lake City, Utah where the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities are set to kick off. And one thing is for certain, Rose knows a thing or two about keeping a fresh cut and has one of the most formidable hairlines in the game. His only comp in the strong hairline game is Paul George and Anthony Davis at this point.

Megan Thee Stallion is one of the world’s biggest stars and that is evidenced by Twitter going up for the Houston Hottie on her 28th birthday.

We haven’t heard a lot from Hot Girl Meg lately and we’re sure there is a good reason for that. While that’s none of our business, we can somewhat assume that she’s happy and healthy after boyfriend Pardison Fontaine shared an image of a couple sharing a shot with two heart-shaped glasses via his Instagram Story feed.

In that same feed, Pardi asked his followers which group between 112 and Jagged Edge had the right playlist for the “occasion” and we use our context clues regarding that question. It was largely thought that the pair broke up but we’re hoping for Black Love to win out again.

Megan Thee Stallion broke out big with the track “Big Ole Freak” and notched a number of huge hits since becoming an industry darling. The artist born Megan Pete also dipped her toe in the acting pool and had a crowd-pleasing cameo in Marvel’s She-Hulk series.

Conservatives Lose It Over Black National Anthem At Super Bowl LVII

The Black National Anthem, also widely known as “Lift Every Voice & Sing,” was performed expertly by Sheryl Lee Ralph ahead of Super Bowl LVII. Because Black people can’t have nice things, powerful conservative figures and others from the GOP side of the aisle complained on social media about the emotionally stirring moment.

The Black National Anthem was performed for the third year in a row ahead of the NFL’s biggest game on Feb. 12, with Ralph, a notable singer along as an award-winning actress, taking on the classic with ease. Shortly after her performance, Trump muppets and salty conservatives revved up the complaint train and accused the Super Bowl of wokeness, which we know is code for “it’s getting too Black in here.”

Ralph was rightly proud of her moment and shared the news via social media, which sparked the angry pitchfork mob to stir up some unnecessary mess and tried to take shots while using tired tropes of evoking the name of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

One Twitter user, who won’t dignify with posting their username, had the nerve to write to Ralph, “No disrespect to anyone, but MLK didn’t call for a separate anthem, did he? He didn’t call for segregated dorms and black-only graduations, did he? He called for unity, as I recall. I prefer his “content of their character” prescription over divisive “separate but equal” anthems.”

Yep. It was like that.

Just for context, we’ll share some of the other loser comments from the butt-hurt clowns who claim to be patriots and champions of fairness while taking down the big bad of “wokeness” from their cushy seats.

Twitter Debates If Usher Has Enough Pop Hits To Rock Super Bowl Halftime Set

Usher Raymond, the fourth of his name, is a certified hitmaker, entertainer, and vocalist so it’s curious to see him trending on Twitter regarding his ability. A Twitter user raised the question if Usher has enough pop hits to rock a Super Bowl halftime show set and the debate is still raging.

The Super Bowl halftime show has become an annual event as seen by the chatter sparked by Rihanna’s welcomed performance after five years away from the stage. Naturally, fans on social media began to debate who should be next to rock at the big game. Usher was a reasonable name tossed into the hat but @asj519 had other thoughts.

“I know y’all think Usher should perform the next SB but I don’t think he has enough pop/hip-hop hits,” the user wrote, sparking a flurry of comments and quote retweets.

Seemingly flustered by the responses, the user fired back with, “Y’all are being intentionally obtuse. Not R&B. Pop. Crossover hits. He doesn’t have enough *pop* hits for a *13* min medley performance. It’ll be ok. That’s not a diss to Usher the artist. Bc you don’t think they would’ve considered him? Beyoncé would be a better choice.”

We’re not sure if the Twitter user recalls but Beyoncé already handled her business in 2013 at the Super Bowl to great effect and she’s probably focused on her upcoming world tour than entertaining sports fans for a few minutes.

As it stands, Twitter has a lot of thoughts about this dream scenario of having Ursher touch the halftime stage and we’re already aware that he does indeed have a handful of tracks that crossed over to the wider pop audience.

Dave Jolicoeur AKA Trugoy The Dove Dead At 54

Dave Jolicoeur, also known as Trugoy The Dove of De La Soul fame, has died. Details are still unknown to the masses but the news is jarring to most considering the veteran Hip-Hop collective was set to release its classic catalog of music to streaming services next month.

Dave Jolicoeur was one of the founding members of De La Soul, joining forces in Long Island, N.Y., and released eight studio albums over the course of three decades along with EPs, singles, compilations, and one solo live recording.

Jolicoeur battled health problems in recent years including sharing news of his struggles with congestive heart failure in 2018. The trio also remained an active touring act for much of their career before Jolicoeur’s health slowed the group’s output. Still, there were recent whispers that new music would be on the horizon along with the release of their back catalog.

The group’s music has largely been missing from streaming services and after a long legal battle, De La Soul obtained the rights to the album’s releases via Tommy Boy Records and are slated to drop on DSPs on March 3.

Our hearts are with the family and friends of Dave Jolicoeur as they mourn this tremendous loss.

Dave Jolicoeur was 54.

Ben Simmons Left Holding The Bag After KD & Kyrie Traded, Twitter Piles On

Ben Simmons came to the Brooklyn Nets with the hopes of fans resting on his shoulders that his game would elevate the team, but by most accounts, the acquisition has yet to pan out. Now that co-stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are no longer Nets, fans on Twitter are piling on the slander for Simmons despite him showing flashes of his former greatness this season.

Ben Simmons, who turns 27 this summer, was the top overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and showcased brilliance as a big point guard for the Philadelphia 76ers before that union soured. Although Simmons has been a member of the Nets since February 2022, he didn’t start playing until the current 2022-23 season and the results have been the target of critique from pundits and fans alike.

The Nets went on a nice run of wins with Simmons shifting his game away from offense and focusing on his highly regarded defensive skills. However, Simmons was expected to be more than a ball-stopper despite his ability to guard every position on the floor. With the scoring firepower of KD and Kyrie gone, Simmons will now have to turn to Spencer Dinwiddie, who is reunited with his former team after being traded away from the Dallas Mavericks, and the talented Mikal Bridges, who was traded away from the Phoenix Suns.

On paper, the Nets got younger, hauled in a ton of first-round draft picks for the future or to trade for veterans, and have a player’s coach in former NBA player Jacque Vaughn leading the way. The Nets are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and are still competitive. Time will tell how the trades will impact all the teams involved.

Kevin Durant Traded To The Phoenix Suns, NBA Twitter Is Stunned

Kevin Durant and his time with the Brooklyn Nets came to an unceremonious end after news that he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. Still considered one of the top players in the NBA, the move shifted the balance of power between the Western and Eastern Conferences and NBA Twitter has all the reactions.

ESPN broke the news of the trade between the Nets and Suns via sources within the league, which will send Kevin Durant and T.J. Warren to Phoenix for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, and four unprotected first-round draft picks.

Some observers believe that the cost of doing business with the Nets was too high for the Suns, giving up the talented Bridges and serviceable bench player Johnson, not to mention the draft picks. Durant finally gets the change of scenery he previously asked for months ago, joining forces with one of the NBA’s best backcourts with Chris Paul and Devin Booker.

Crowder was rumored to be sought after by several teams according to some reports around the league, including the Washington Wizards at one point. Earlier this week, the Nets shipped Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks, seeming content to blow the team up and go into a serious rebuild despite amassing a solid record in Eastern Conference standings.

Today is the NBA’s trade deadline, which ends at 3:00 PM ET and more moves are sure to happen although few will compare to the Kevin Durant trade.
