50 Cent is alleging that Diddy is the mastermind behind the killing of 2Pac, causing some rumbling online.
HipHopDX reports that Monday (Oct. 9), 50 Cent shared an Instagram post comprised of the last photo of Tupac “2Pac” Shakur as he and Suge Knight left the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. “Damn so pac got lined by brother love,” the G-Unit leader wrote in the caption, using the name Diddy goes by for his R&B projects. “LOL Time to Lawyer up, shit might get sticky.” Diddy had not responded to the post.
There’s uncertainty as to why 50 Cent would make that claim, but he has recently trolled the Harlem-born mogul for his parties during one of his concert stops on his Final Lap tour. “That’s why I don’t be going to them Puffy parties,” he said. “Uh-uh. Ni**a hug you from the front and the back at the same time? F**k you talkin’ about? Look, if you into that, you into that, I’m fine with it. To each his own. I’m just sayin’ this ain’t my motherf**kin’ kind of party. It’s uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girls’ bathroom when sh*t like that is going on.”
There’s also been an air of speculation around Diddy since the murder that evening. The rumors have been fueled by comments made by Duane “Keefe D” Davis in a confession he made to police in 2008. At the time, the South Side Compton Crip claimed that he and Diddy discussed a deal to kill 2Pac and Suge Knight since they represented Death Row Records, who were bitterly feuding with Bad Boy Records at the time.
Davis claimed that the conversation took place at Greenblatt’s Deli in Los Angeles and that the mogul offered $1 million to “get rid of them dudes.” The 60-year-old would then tell Los Angeles Police Department officers that the Crips never received the alleged $500,000 payment from Diddy.
Davis is currently in jail in Las Vegas after being arrested for his role in the murder of 2Pac earlier this month after a grand jury indicted him. He now awaits another hearing to set the date for his trial. Diddy has passionately denied being involved in 2Pac’s death in the past.

DiddyYeah we in the Love era, and just Love is not brother Love now, it’s just Love. It’s like, you know, the evolution of Diddy. And so I’m just, I’m just really excited. 13 years after Last Train to Paris, you know, when I had did that album, I didn’t know if people understood where I was coming from it was a little bit before its time. And it kind of like broke my heart in this sense, because they didn’t understand right away. I think I was like, you know, I mean, I know, I was like I was in my ego.

It’s been three decades in the making, but P. Diddy is finally going to be receiving the Global Icon Award during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Variety is reporting that the OG Bad Boy from Hip-Hop’s golden era will finally be receiving his flowers from MTV when the VMA’s airs live from the Prudential Center Tuesday (Sept. 12) at 8 p.m. ET. Aside from receiving the Global Icon Award, Diddy will also be taking the stage at the VMA’s to perform and show attendees and viewers around the world exactly why he’s being blessed with such a prestigious award.

The Global Icon Award, originally from MTV’s Europe Music Awards (EMAs), celebrates an artist or band whose unparalleled career and continued influence have achieved a unique level of global success in music and beyond. Diddy also hosted MTV Europe Music Award 2002 at the Palazzo Sant Jordi, Barcelona, Spain.
This set will be Diddy’s first solo album since he released “Press Play” in 2006 but follows a recent slate of singles from the hitmaker. In the last year, he recruited Bryson Tiller for “Gotta Move On” — which received remixes from Ashanti, Yung Miami, Tory Lanez and more — along with the PartyNextDoor-featuring “Sex in the Porsche.” He most recently released “Act Bad” with the City Girls and Fabolous and also dropped a remix of Metro Boomin’s “Creepin’.
Real random, but where the heck has PartyNextDoor been this whole time? Just sayin’.
While Diddy is set to hit the stage in celebration of his award, we wouldn’t be surprised if a few guest stars joined him on stage as he’s helped launch the careers of multiple Hip-Hop and R&B stars such as The Lox, Faith and many others. Don’t expect Total to come out of nowhere though.

Diddy has long been the target of criticism over holding the publishing rights who recorded and released music under his Bad Boy music imprint. According to a new report, Diddy will hand back the music publishing rights to a number of artists and other collaborators.
Variety gained exclusive intel from a source that says Diddy, real name Sean Combs, will give back the music publishing rights to the estate of The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, Ma$e, and more.
Per the source, Diddy has “decided to reassign his Bad Boy publishing rights back to all Bad Boy artists and writers who helped build Bad Boy into the powerhouse it is today.”
While the full details of the shift in rights are not known, other acts include the likes of The LOX, 112, and a host of others that could be assumed to be songwriters, producers, and engineers.
The outlet added that the speculative worth of the rights could total up to hundreds of millions of dollars. The outlet’s source also adds that Diddy has received a number of offers for the publishing rights but instead shifted course and placed them back into the hands of the original creators.
Last week, we posted a story that Cam’Ron, who now works with Ma$e on a sports podcast, shared the news of his co-host signing paperwork regarding the transfer of his music publishing rights back.

Harlem can breathe a sigh of relief this week. Cam’ron claims Ma$e has finally received his publishing back from Diddy.
As spotted on HipHopDX, the Diplomats founder made a big announcement Wednesday (Aug. 30) via his Instagram account. He congratulated the former Children Of The Corn member on the win in signature Killa fashion while promoting his new mixtape. “My n***a murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday,” he wrote. “Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

If Cam’ron is speaking facts, this makes for a hallmark victory for Ma$e. For years the ex-Bad Boy Entertainment talent has voiced his displeasure and frustration that Sean Diddy Combs still owns his publishing. Back in 2020, Betha claimed he offered Diddy $2 million dollars to get it back but was declined. But during a sit down with The Breakfast Club, Diddy explained that Ma$e still owed him $3 million dollars.
“Just in general, the Ma$e thing. I did one album with Ma$e. One album. How much money do you think I owe this guy. And then he became a fake pastor and went and conned people,” he said. “And y’all going let him throw dirt on the God’s name? Anybody can come and step up. Bring your receipts. But I’m not playing. I’m back outside, and I’m fighting back for us. And I’m also doing some fighting back for me.”

Diddy is putting his money where his mouth is and is giving back to HBCUs.
The man who once rapped, “Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks,” did just that over the weekend at this year’s Invest Fest in Atlanta for causes he cares deeply about HBCUs and financial literacy.
Spotted on PEOPLE, the 56-year-old mogul announced his $1 million investment fund in partnership with Earn Your Leisure with its founders Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings on hand to receive the financial blessing from the “Bad Boy for Life” crafter.
Per PEOPLE:
The fund will go toward financial literacy efforts, “[putting] the investment strategies discussed on EYL into action” and “providing a practical model for economic empowerment,” according to a press release from Diddy’s investment portfolio, Combs Global.
“I’m thrilled to join forces with Earn Your Leisure,” Combs said in the release. “We’re going beyond discussing finances and taking action to demystify the world of investing for our community.”
During his speech at Invest Fest on Friday, Diddy announced that the fund would benefit his three Capital Preparatory charter schools in New York and Connecticut.
Diddy Also Blessed Jackson State University
Diddy’s charitable efforts didn’t stop there.
He headed to Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium for a South Carolina State versus Jackson State University football game to hand-deliver a $1 million check to Jackson State University’s football team.
Per a press release, like his donation to the EYL, it will be “geared towards fostering economic empowerment and upholding the legacies of historically Black institutions,” PEOPLE reports.
Combs, a Howard University graduate, shared a video of a moment, writing in the post’s caption, “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for HBCUs. It is my honor and my responsibility to support the HBCUs! The work they are doing is to be commended! My grandmother raised me to sow my seed in my community and that’s what I’m going to continue to do!!”
Diddy’s latest philanthropic efforts follow his 2022 BET Lifetime Achievement Award speech, where he noted it was his “responsibility” to give back to HBCUs.

Just when it seemed like BET Media Group was going to pull a major move and purchase a majority stake in Paramount Global, the deal has fallen apart with Paramount deciding to back away from the proposed deal.
According to Variety, the deal that would’ve led to BET owning VH1, BET Studios, and streamer BET+ came to an end Wednesday (Aug. 16) after Paramount Global came to the realization that the sale “wouldn’t result in any meaningful deleveraging of its balance sheet.” With bids up in the $2 billion to $3 billion dollar range, we’re surprised Paramount Global would walk away from such a Godzilla sized bag, but hey, it’s their company and their choice.

Variety exclusively reported in March that Sean “Diddy” Combs was among the bidders who expressed interested in the majority stake, joining fellow media moguls Tyler Perry and Byron Allen in pursuing the acquisition of the network.
Combs has previously worked with Paramount Global, producing three iterations of MTV’s “Making the Band” between 2002 and 2009. The rapper, record producer and executive is already the owner of network Revolt, which reaches roughly 80 millions households. Back in March, a source close to Combs told Variety that Combs is “exploring the opportunity to purchase BET as a part of his strategy to build a Black-owned global media powerhouse,” which he believes is “better for the business, for the culture and for building wealth in the Black community.”
It really would’ve been interesting to see what Diddy would’ve had in mind had Paramount Global ended up in his hands. Had Tyler Perry taken control, we probably would’ve seen Madea get her own daytime talk show or something. We wouldn’t be mad at such a show either. Just sayin’.
What Paramount Global has in store for it’s future now is anyone’s guess, but don’t be surprised if they end up suddenly selling the majority stake of their company to Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk or something. That’s just how the game goes sometimes.

Diddy is showing it is still “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop”. He has announced the inaugural REVOLT WORLD event in Atlanta.
As spotted on Bossip the business mogul is taking his REVOLT brand to newer heights. On Wednesday, August 15 the event was formally announced on social media. “We’re reimagining the intersection of culture and creativity with this three-day immersive experience featuring daily lineups of your favorite REVOLT shows, impactful conversations, live performances, interactive masterclasses, experiential activations, a gaming house, creator studio, and more” the press release reads. This year’s inaugural theme is “We Are Hip-Hop” which is a nod to the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop and the ten year anniversary of REVOLT TV.
The 72-hour event will feature live performances from MoneyBagg Yo, Uncle Waffles, Don Toliver, King Combs and more. REVOLT WORLD will also feature G Herbo, Jeezy, Omarion, Curren$y and others as speakers. Additionally, they will also broadcast Drink Champs and Caresha Please as live podcasts. Yung Miami expressed her excitement on X, formerly known as Twitter. “My first live podcast! I’m so excited & nervous at the same damn time! #careshaplease @revolttv” she wrote.

The legal cannabis business is all the rage these days and with your favorite Hip-Hop artists getting in on the game, Diddy decided it was the perfect time to buy his way into the business. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out exactly how he had hoped.
TMZ is reporting that a $185 million deal that the OG Bad Boy had lined up with a cannabis company unfortunately went left and left Diddy out in the cold for the time being. Though we’re sure Diddy won’t be giving up on his vision of owning his own weed company, this was a setback that he didn’t see coming as he was patiently waiting for the deal to get done.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us Diddy waited in the wings as Cresco Labs and Columbia Care planned their proposed merger that was agreed upon last year.
However, we’re told the shareholders never reached an agreement, and Diddy’s deal was terminated earlier this week as a consequence. Diddy’s team tells us he and his Combs Global empire still have a vested interest in pursuing opportunities to diversify the cannabis industry … they just have to find the perfect fit.
The move would’ve made Diddy the owner of 9 stores throughout New York, Massachusetts and Illinois, with each having its own production facility … effectively making him the biggest Black cannabis business owner.
Y’all know Diddy might be a little peeved at the fact that he’ll have to wait a bit longer to become the “biggest Black cannabis business owner” in the game. He’s gonna love saying that to anyone willing to listen.
When the next deal presents itself remains to be seen, but best believe he’s not going to settle for some regular old marijuana company that has a store or two. If Diddy isn’t going big, he’s going home. That’s just how he rolls.
