Just a day after Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs, accusing him of rape and abuse, the case has been settled.
According to the New York Times, both parties announced on Friday evening (Nov. 17) the settlement. However, neither side disclosed details of its terms.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” said Cassie in a statement. “I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” said Diddy in his own statement.
While this matter is settled in the courts, the jury of public opinion is certainly going to continue its deliberations. The detailed allegations that Cassie documented in her lawsuit were jarring and included physical and sexual abuse. Another detail that social media latched onto was Kid Cudi’s car allegedly getting blown up by a jealous Diddy.
But by settling, Diddy avoids the discovery portion of a trial where Cassie could have potentially laid out the receipts to back up her allegations.
Also worth noting is that although there were initial reports that Diddy was under investigation for rape in New York City, the NYPD has since refuted those claims.
Now, the speculation of how much Diddy came out of pocket begins.

Business mogul and entertainer Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy, is facing a mountain of a lawsuit connected to alleged abuse and other accusations. A report went wide that the Bad Boy honcho was under criminal investigation but the NYPD shot down those claims.
TMZ initially reported that Diddy was the target of an investigation, which came on the heels of the mogul facing a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who claims that Combs allegedly raped her and engaged in human trafficking among other charges. It was reported as a “locked” investigation involving Sean Combs but it appears that was not the case.
The outlet returned to the report with an update that can be read in full below:
The full NYPD statement reads … “Yesterday, a member of the NYPD’s public information office erroneously told a reporter about the apparent existence of an active case file containing the name ‘Sean Combs.’ There is no such investigation, at present. Further, the release of such information is not consistent with the internal policies of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information. The NYPD always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so that support and services can be offered to survivors and a comprehensive investigation can be conducted.”
Ventura filed her lawsuit in New York at the federal court level. A statement from Combs has yet to surface.

50 Cent’s never been one to let anything slide when it comes to people he doesn’t really f*ck with. When it comes to Sean Diddy Combs, the Bad Boy Records founder falls right into that category as far as Fiddy is concerned.
On Thursday (Nov. 16), the Hip-Hop world was blown away when we learned that Diddy’s former girlfriend, Cassie, filed a lawsuit against him accusing him of years of physical abuse and rape amongst many other eyebrow raising allegations. Not one to let the opportunity pass him by, to add his two cents into such a matter, 50 Cent took to X, formerly Twitter, to clown Diddy for his newfound legal troubles. He posted a picture of himself looking into a camera with a caption that read, “Damn brother love, brother love, brother love, you out here looking [eyes emoji] CRAZY AS A MF. LMAO #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
Well, 50 ain’t wrong. The lawsuit that Cassie filed against Diddy accuses him of raping her and forcing her to engage in sexual acts with male escorts as Diddy watched. The lawsuit also described an incident in which Diddy threatened to blow up Kid Cudi’s car for getting too close to the “Me & U” singer. No wonder J. Lo never even attempted to rekindle that relationship once she got out of it, allegedly.
50 Cent trolling Diddy is nothing new as he’s done everything from calling him a “fruit pop” on Drink Champs after saying Diddy offered to take him shopping to more recently insinuating that Diddy had a role in the murder of Tupac Shakur. In short, 50 doesn’t really like Diddy.
That being said, between this lawsuit and the general Hip-Hop public reaction to the allegations, it’s looking dark for Diddy until he can prove otherwise. One has to wonder if this is the reason why Diddy was randomly asking people to pray for him a few weeks back.
Either way, 50 Cent is having a ball with everything that’s coming to light about the man known as Brother Love these days.

The bombshell allegations that Diddy abused and raped Cassie have been rocking the Internets since the story broke on Thursday (Nov. 16). But one particular detail that has social media enthralled is the claim that a jealous Diddy had Kid Cudi’s car bombed because he dared to date Cassie.
While the myriad of accusations Cassie lobbed at Diddy in her lawsuit are vile, Cudi’s involvement is straight out of a Tubi movie, if true. Back in 2012, the Cleveland rapper’s career was couple of years after the release of his sophomore album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager and a year before the arrival of its follow-up, Indicud. But according to the court documents, that same year, according to Cassie, Diddy was so mad about her dating Cudi that she claims he threatened to blow up the “Day N Nite” rapper’s car.
Apparently, the suit claims: “Around that time Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.”
But the kicker is that Cudi confirmed. “This is all true,” reportedly said his spokeswoman.
So while most recently Kid Cudi was in his Star Trek bag at Comic-Con in NYC, on this days his love life, from a decade ago, has become the stuff of Internet scandal. What a time.

Singer Cassie has accused her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs of rape and abuse, amongst other acts, in a lawsuit. In the suit, Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, alleges that Combs began abusing her shortly after they met when she was just 19 years old, in 2005.The New York Times reports that Ventura filed the lawsuit Thursday (Nov. 16), in Federal District Court in New York City. The suit alleges that in 2018, shortly before their romantic relationship came to an end, Diddy raped her in her home.“After years in silence and darkness,” said Ventura in a statement, “I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”Diddy, via his lawyer, is denying all the allegations.
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” said Diddy’s attorney, Ben Brafman, in a statement. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
According to Ventura’s lawyer, she rejected an “eight-figure” payoff to stop her from filing the lawsuit. Ventura is seeking unspecified damages.
The alleged details in the suit are heinous.
Reports the New York Times:
A few years into Ms. Ventura’s relationship with Mr. Combs, the suit says, he began coercing her “to engage in a fantasy of his called ‘voyeurism,’” in which she was directed to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes, while Mr. Combs watched, masturbated, took pictures and shot video.
According to the suit, Mr. Combs called these encounters “freak offs,” which involved costumes, like masquerade masks and lingerie. They continued for years, taking place at high-end hotels across the United States and in Mr. Combs’ homes. The suit says that he instructed Ms. Ventura to search the websites of escort services to procure male sex workers.
Drugs were supplied at these events, which Ms. Ventura’s suit says she took because they “allowed her to disassociate during these horrific encounters.”
One person supporting Ventura’s claims, in a roundabout way, is Kid Cudi.
Says the Times:
In one incident described in the court papers, Ms. Ventura says that in early 2012, Mr. Combs grew so angry about her dating the rapper Kid Cudi that he said he would blow up the rapper’s car. “Around that time,” the suit says, “Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.”
Through a spokeswoman, Kid Cudi confirmed Ms. Ventura’s account. “This is all true,” he said.
Many will remember how Cassie left Diddy, and moved on with her life in 2018, having a child with personal trainer Alex Fine in 2019—and soon after they were wedded. If the timing holds, she left Diddy after he allegedly raped her.
The court filing says that in 2018, after Mr. Combs and Ms. Ventura met for dinner, he forced himself into her apartment and raped her while she “repeatedly said ‘no’ and tried to push him away.” After that, the suit says, she left him for good. Ms. Ventura married Alex Fine, a personal trainer, the following year and now has two young children. According to the complaint, her association with Bad Boy ended in 2019.

Diageo, one of the world leaders in the adult beverages space, found itself locked into a legal battle with Sean “Diddy” Combs regarding business dealings connected to vodka and tequila brands. According to a new report, activity connected to the lawsuit filed by Combs will be moved to next year as both sides continue to state their respective claims.
As seen on Digital Music News, Diageo, which owns popular brands Johnnie Walker, Guinness, and Casamigos, was granted a stay this past Tuesday (November 14) by a panel of judges overseeing the matter. In his lawsuit, Diddy is alleging that the beverage company gave less attention to his Cîroc Vodka and DeLeón Tequila brands because of his race.
According to Combs’ legal team, their side believes the granted stay is a tactic to delay facing up to the allegations in a court of law.
“Once the appellate court considers the actual merits, we are confident that they will reach the same conclusion as two separate judges already: that Diageo can’t avoid a public trial,” Diddy’s attorney, John Hurston, said in a statement.
The lawsuit was first enacted in May of this year with Combs stating that Diageo did not commit to its plans for diversity and inclusion and putting the brands that he helmed on the back burner because he’s Black.
In response to Combs’ claims, a spokesperson for the company wrote, “This is a business dispute, and we are saddened that Mr. Combs has chosen to recast this matter as anything other than that. Our steadfast commitment to diversity within our company and the communities we serve is something we take very seriously. We categorically deny the allegations that have been made and will vigorously defend ourselves in the appropriate forum.”
The company severed ties with Combs after filing its own countersuit which Diddy hit back with again with another lawsuit alleging that the countersuit from Diageo was “illegal retaliation.”
Combs owns and operates Combs Global, which oversees the mogul’s business interests including his wine and spirits portfolio.

Is Diddy trying to snuff out DJ Akademiks? We highly doubt it, but Akademiks feels like the man who dubbed himself “Brother Love” is looking to put the love on him something serious.
On Sunday (Nov. 12), DJ Akademiks livestreamed a story in which he revealed that Diddy invited AK to party with him while he was over in London, but the controversial DJ thought twice about accepting the personal invitation as he felt it was a “set up” and he’d never make it back to the states alive. Saying “Yo, real talk, I think Diddy tried to line me on some Tupac sh*t. Like yo, real talk. I think Diddy tried to ‘Pac me. This sh*t was crazy.”
We reiterate that we highly doubt Diddy would risk doing anything that would run afoul with the law these days given that many are speculating that Kefee D is giving the feds his version of how Diddy was involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur, but Akademiks feels like he may be in Diddy’s crosshairs thanks to his drama with Saucy Santana and Yung Miami. Knowing how ridiculous things have the potential to get, Akademiks went into how he thought things could go left had he met up with Diddy.
“What’s really gon’ happen is this: I’m gonna show up, and all of a sudden out of the Sprinter that Diddy is in, you want me to flex the little batty fish like Saucy Santana jumping out, just moving wacky on me. Like yo, just twerking in front of my face or some dumb shit like that. Like, come on bruv. Or, I’ma pull up thinking we bout to pop some Cîroc and DeLeon. I’m thinking, ‘This about to be sweet.’ All of a sudden, I’ma see that Yung Miami, that ratchet shit coming at me. Like yo, so no win situation.”
After going into the possibly outcomes of what could’ve happened, AK ultimately decided to play it safe and keep to himself while out in the UK saying “Nah, I ain’t go to no party. Hell nah. I thought it was a set-up, to keep it real. I swear I was like, I think he invited me, that little fish. Saucy was gonna hop on and I’m about to tell people, ‘Yo, smoke that bitch.’”

Diddy says he was banned from being The Joker by Warner Bros. after his costume last year, but he would troll the company by becoming The Batman for this year’s festivities.
Having a Halloween costume be so good that you’re prohibited from donning it again doesn’t seem like a real problem but for Diddy, it was. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday (October 30), the entertainment mogul was asked by the host what he planned to do for Halloween. “Last year, I was the Joker, and I actually got a letter from the studio that I can no longer be the Joker,” Diddy responded. When Kimmel asked why, he stated: “They said it broke their trademark, that I did it too good. I swear I have this letter. I swear to God. From Warner Bros.”

When Diddy dressed up as The Joker, his uncanny portrayal became one of the top stories of Halloween stopping everyone he came across in their tracks from Tyler The Creator to Power actor Michael J. Ferguson. Diddy actually showed off the letter on his Instagram. “This is six full papers right here, I’m not even going to show the business on the paper.” He then said he wouldn’t do it again, but ended the video off with a screen saying “Stay Tuned”.
“Well do it again, then. Do it again!”, Kimmel said with a laugh. “So tomorrow… Warner Bros. lawyers, can you see me?” Diddy replied. “Put this camera on right here. The head of legal: Tomorrow, watch what I do.”
True to his word, Diddy made the reveal on his Halloween costume for 2023, revealing to the world through his Instagram account that he would be The Batman. The clip shows him as “The Darkest Knight”, showing him driving the actual Batmobile from director Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy while purportedly putting an end to the strike between the writers and the Hollywood studios. His youngest daughter Love Sean Combs makes a cameo appearance in the clip at the end.

The 2Pac murder investigation rabbit hole continues to get deeper and deeper. The late, great rapper’s brother Mopreme says that Diddy told him he didn’t have anything to do with the infamous murder.
TMZ is reporting that the 2Pac’s stepbrother recently spoke to The Art of Dialogue. During the interview he discussed a variety of topics related to his legendary sibling. As expected the host Art asked the former Thug Life group member about that fateful night of September 7, 1996. He went on to make a reveal that quickly went viral. The “Feels Good” rapper says that Diddy once called him to personally tell him he had nothing to do with 2Pac’s death. “The boy Puffy called me, though,” Mopreme said. “Puffy called me back in the day. He was like, ‘I just want you to know I ain’t have nothing to do with your brother’s [murder]. I know who you are, but we never met. I just want to call you man to man and let you know that I ain’t have nothing to do with your brother’s death.’”
He went on to explain that while he thought it was a noble gesture he still was seeking answers. “I told him I appreciate the call, but the truth has yet to come out, so we gon’ see,” he added. “Back then, I wanted all the information I could get. I heard what he said, but this s**t been so chaotic. Ain’t know which way to go until you found out more information. He could have been trying to cover his a**, or he could have been sincere.”
As spotted at Vibe Magazine 50 Cent has continued his attacks on Diddy. Once again he has pointed the finger of guilt at the Bad Boy Entertainment mogul as per Keffe D’s story that Puffy offered a Crip set money to kill 2Pac. In an Instagram post he shared a clip of a Keffe D interview from The Art Of Dialogue where the Compton native claims that Diddy could have showed him and crew more love. “LMAO 😆Brother Love, show some love. Damn should have just sent this fool a few dollars.” the caption read.

50 Cent is alleging that Diddy is the mastermind behind the killing of 2Pac, causing some rumbling online.
HipHopDX reports that Monday (Oct. 9), 50 Cent shared an Instagram post comprised of the last photo of Tupac “2Pac” Shakur as he and Suge Knight left the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. “Damn so pac got lined by brother love,” the G-Unit leader wrote in the caption, using the name Diddy goes by for his R&B projects. “LOL Time to Lawyer up, shit might get sticky.” Diddy had not responded to the post.
There’s uncertainty as to why 50 Cent would make that claim, but he has recently trolled the Harlem-born mogul for his parties during one of his concert stops on his Final Lap tour. “That’s why I don’t be going to them Puffy parties,” he said. “Uh-uh. Ni**a hug you from the front and the back at the same time? F**k you talkin’ about? Look, if you into that, you into that, I’m fine with it. To each his own. I’m just sayin’ this ain’t my motherf**kin’ kind of party. It’s uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girls’ bathroom when sh*t like that is going on.”
There’s also been an air of speculation around Diddy since the murder that evening. The rumors have been fueled by comments made by Duane “Keefe D” Davis in a confession he made to police in 2008. At the time, the South Side Compton Crip claimed that he and Diddy discussed a deal to kill 2Pac and Suge Knight since they represented Death Row Records, who were bitterly feuding with Bad Boy Records at the time.
Davis claimed that the conversation took place at Greenblatt’s Deli in Los Angeles and that the mogul offered $1 million to “get rid of them dudes.” The 60-year-old would then tell Los Angeles Police Department officers that the Crips never received the alleged $500,000 payment from Diddy.
Davis is currently in jail in Las Vegas after being arrested for his role in the murder of 2Pac earlier this month after a grand jury indicted him. He now awaits another hearing to set the date for his trial. Diddy has passionately denied being involved in 2Pac’s death in the past.
