After a day of teasing a huge announcement and sending her fans into a frenzy, Cardi B finally revealed the big news, and it was a doozy.

Taking to Instagram to show fans what they can expect in the near future, Cardi B revealed that her next single will feature the one and only Megan Thee Stallion and will be dubbed “Bongos.” The new single will mark their first collaboration since their 2020 hit “WAP,” which dominated the Billboard charts and ultimately went on to go six times platinum.

Posting a picture of the cover art for her new single, Cardi B let her fans know when they’ll hear her next hit in the caption writing, “BONGOS Cardi x Megan Thee Stallion 9/8.” With the surprise reveal coming less than a week after Nicki Minaj dropped her much hyped single “Last Time I Saw You,” many fans feel this was Cardi’s way of showing up the Queen artist and proving she’s still got the streets on smash. Could be, but whatever the case might be, we’re not mad at all.
While we haven’t gotten any snippets of the cut or info on what the content might be, you have to wonder if Megan Thee Stallion will address Tory Lanez getting hit with a decade behind bars for shooting her foot on that fateful night in July 2020. Truth be told, we kind of hope she does in some way, shape or form, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until Friday (Sept. 8) to find out.
What do y’all think of Cardi B’s announcement? Y’all have any expectations for the song? Let us know in the comments section below.

Does Cardi B have the Midas touch?! We’re not sure but it certainly seems like damn near everything she touches turns to gold even if those things are used as a weapon.

Days after Cardi B went viral for flinging a microphone at a fan who tried to splash her with a liquid substance at a Las Vegas performance, TMZ is reporting that the mic in question is actually going to be auctioned off to the highest bidder because, well, why not? While Cardi’s actions led to numerous comedic memes that have been floating around social media since the incident, no one’s really paid attention to the microphone used in retaliation. Don’t be surprised if it ends up bringing in some big bucks.
TMZ reports:

The mic Cardi hurled into the crowd at Drai’s Nightclub actually belongs to an audio production company called The Wave in Sin City, and the owner tells us he decided to auction it off to benefit a couple of charities. Scott Fisher tells TMZ … it was pretty easy to track down the mic after the show, because the white tape across the bottom of it says “MAIN,” and it still works despite Cardi chucking it into the crowd. Scott says his company provides audio support for most of the major nightclubs in Vegas, including Drai’s.
Cardi might wanna put a bid on that mic just so she can recover some evidence as the woman who caught her wrath has filed a battery report with Las Vegas authorities. Y’all already know she’ll be trying to extract as much paper from Cardi in the process.
The $1000 microphone is currently on eBay with a starting bid of $500, and according to Scott, the proceeds will go to both The Wounded Warrior Project and a local Vegas charity named Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which helps teens and young adults with special needs. Great way to use a viral moment to help some good causes.

Over the weekend video of Cardi B slinging a microphone at a fan who tried to douse her with water at a Vegas performance quickly went viral as an example of what not to do at a Cardi B show.

While we understood that Cardi was justified in her response to the overzealous fan, police are now investigating Cardi B for her transgression and it may end up costing her in the end. Variety is reporting that the woman who was on the receiving end of that microphone toss has filed a police report against Cardi B and is claiming to have been battered at the manicured hands of the Bronx rapper.
Variety reports:

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed a battery had been reported by a woman just one day after the altercation occurred in a statement obtained by Variety. No arrests or citations have been issued.
“On July 30, 2023, an individual came into an LVMPD police station to report a battery,” the LVMPD stated. “According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29, 2023, at a property located in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper retaliated with the microphone throw after a concertgoer had launched a drink at her during her show. It remains unclear whether the person who threw the drink and the person who reported getting hit with the microphone are the same individual.
It really looked like Cardi missed the actual person who threw the drink, but we’re sure the police investigation into the matter will reveal if that is indeed the case.
The incident comes during a time when artists being pelted with foreign objects by concertgoers is all the rage. How or why this has become a trend is anyone’s guess, but best believe that if you try the wrong one (like Cardi), you’re going to end up paying for it. Unfortunately for Cardi, she might end up paying just to make this case go away, but that was expected as soon as this video went viral.
What do y’all think? Should Cardi be held accountable for her reaction or was she justified in her actions? Let us know in the comments section below.

Cardi B got even with a concertgoer who tossed a drink at her during the rapper’s performance in Las Vegas on Saturday. Cardi B might have another career as a baseball pitcher if she ever decides to leave the rap game. The Bronx beauty was seen hurling her microphone at a fan who tossed a drink at her during a recent performance.
Cardi B was in Las Vegas, Nev. over the weekend for an appearance at Drai’s Beachclub and was just seconds into her performance when someone a bit too lit tossed some type of liquid onto the rapper. With immediacy, Cardi B tossed the microphone with pinpoint accuracy and appears to clock the fan. In the video, Cardi is seen giving the person a verbal lashing as only she can then security guards working near the front of the stage took the individual out of the venue.
As some noted after seeing the video that Cardi wasn’t actually rapping and instead was lip-synching over a pre-recorded track, which isn’t unheard of these days. That said, shortly after the rowdy fan was taken away, Cardi resumed her set and all appeared to be well.
It’s a shame the fan tossed the drink because the orange number and hair Cardi B was sporting looked glamorous in the Vegas sun.
And for those keeping scores, that wasn’t the only time Cardi ended up throwing her microphone, doing so once again over the weekend during another performance but we couldn’t determine the reasoning.

It seems Cardi B is leaving no stone unturned to collect from Tasha K. She has now asked Tasha’s husband to provide a list of his assets.

As spotted on HipHopDX the Bronx native’s legal team is working overtime to ensure the YouTube personality pays her tab. The media outlet obtained court documents relating to Bardi’s legal win over Tasha K (LaTasha Kebe). On July 18 her lawyers submitted a “subpoena duces tecum” (Latin for “you shall bring with you”); a type of subpoena that requires the witness to produce a document or documents pertinent to a proceeding. This order allows Cardi B, via her legal representation, to review Cheickna Kebe’s financial assets on Monday, August  7 in Miami.

“The examination may continue from day to day until completed,” the documentation reads. “If the examinee receives this notice less than 14 days prior to the scheduled examination date, the examination will be rescheduled upon timely request to a mutually agreeable time.” In essence the review of Kebe’s assets could take more than a day to complete. Additionally, the review will be captured on tape (“The examination is pursuant to Bankruptcy Rule 2004 and Local Rule 2004-1, and will be recorded by video and/or stenographic means before a court reporter or any officer duly authorized.”).
On January, 24 2022 Cardi B was awarded a judgement against Tasha K for starting “malicious campaign” against the rapper with false rumors. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was issued a verdict and was awarded $1.25 million in damages. Further proceedings brought the total fine against Kebe to $3.82 million. Tasha K has yet to acknowledge the subpoena.

Charlamagne Tha God just paid Cardi B one of the biggest compliments of her career. He says she shifted the culture just like JAY-Z and Drake.

As spotted on Blavity media personality paid a visit to the It’s Up There podcast and discussed the current state of the Rap industry and more. During the conversation he discussed the female MC landscape and made sure to give Bardi an abundance of flowers. “Salute to Cardi. Cardi shifted that in the culture,” he explained. “Because Cardi made it where you’re the OG, you’re the person that’s made all the money, you sold all the records, but you have no problem putting your arm around that next person.”

He went to call out that Cardi has a history of embracing new artists; especially females. “Cardi did for female rap what JAY-Z and Drake did. Like JAY-Z, whatever that next thing was out, JAY-Z was jumping on it. Whether it was Juvenile‘s ‘Huh.’ Whether it was Houston, whether it was Rick Ross…whoever it was, Jay was jumping on there,” Charlamagne added. “I think Cardi’s doing both. I think Cardi’s helping to make the artist big, and she’s helping to make the music big.”

Just this week Cardi B announced she has jumped on Fendida Rappa’s “Point Me 2” record. You can hear the song below.

Offset is the subject of Twitter chatter once again after a curious message posted to his Instagram page has fans discussing the particulars of his marriage to Cardi B. It appears to some that Offset was accusing his wife of having sex with another person, but it is unclear what the Migos rapper was trying to convey.
Offset, who just reunited with his Migos bandmate Quavo for a moving tribute to Takeoff and a performance at the 2023 BET Awards, apparently took to his Instagram Stories feed where he wrote, “My wife f*cked a N*gga on me on gang yall n*ggas know how I come.”
The message, which is no longer available online so we weren’t able to confirm, has some on Twitter thinking that Offset was claiming that Cardi stepped out on him, something he’s been said to have done in times past.
This has prompted some on Twitter to clown Offset and call him some uncomfortable names that we won’t repeat in the body of this text. As we searched through Twitter for more reactions, one user shared that Cardi addressed the rumors in a Twitter Spaces chat and essentially said that her husband is reading into things out of order and that she isn’t out here moving funny while also threatening violence in her usual fashion.
We haven’t heard any new developments in the story so this unconfirmed accusation should be taken with a grain of salt. Hopefully, this doesn’t mean there are active issues between the couple and this is just a huge misunderstanding. That said, folks are online zeroing in on the couple’s past issues and not giving Offset any slack.
