He, for fun, made like a music video on AI where like you just sit and type in what you want with your favorite song. And he was like, Why do you guys spend so much money on music videos? You can just do this now. I’m like don’t. Hey, I’m Rita Ora and you’re watching Billboard News.

We got to talk about “Ask & You Shall Receive.” 

Rita Ora:

Yes, the best mantra in my opinion.

Rania Aniftos:

It really is. I love that mantra. Tell me a bit about how you kind of came up with that and where you wanted to go with it.

Rita Ora:

Well, the mantra has been around for a long time. The song I got it sent to me in my email from RAYE, who’s a great friend of mine. She’s also another British pop sensation. And I love her. I’ve known her for a very long time as a songwriter and as an artist. And she came on tour with me back in 2017, sent me the song and I loved it. Sometimes, it’s sometimes it’s not that deep. My third record ‘You & I’ was very deep, emotional. It was about my like, personal life changing. I got married, and I really wanted to share my story with the world. Well, with this one. I was like, You know what, let’s just put out great things that feel good, you know, and the sun is out. I’m always about the sunshine. Everything with my music has been super positive.

Well, Charli XCX posted, “kamala IS brat.” And the hopeful presidential nominee didn’t shy away from the Gen Z endorsement, following Charli on social media and using the Brat aesthetic on her HQ page. Now if only we could get her doing the TikTok, we know she has the moves.

Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady becomes his 11th No.1 album on the Billboard 200. The set launches with 281,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., the biggest of any rap album this year.

This is the same n***a that gave me one of my first interviews. I don’t know if it’s because I used to give this n***a lap dances and he’s mad that I have like f*cking succeeded so much in life. I don’t understand why I keep getting harassed by this man. You want an interview or something, you want to hear my album so bad – If you want to hear my album so bad you can pull up to my studio sessions.

“Angel of My Dreams,” I would say is about my kind of love/hate relationship with the music industry which, as you know, I’ve been a part of for quite some time. So I have a lot to say about that — good and bad. “Angel of My Dreams” is kind of like a love letter to the industry of how obsessed I am with it, how much I love it. But with that comes, you know, some trials and tribulations. 

Meghan Mahar:
Did you know that this was going to be the single as soon as you wrote it? 

​​Jade:
I’ve been writing for, like, two and a half years. I knew I hadn’t quite landed on the song yet.

With Ozzy stating, “I’m fed up of seeing poor old Britney Spears on YouTube.” Britney heard and jumped on IG comparing herself to Kate Beckinsale saying: “I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age appropriate content… she’s in her fifties and I thought it was pretty badass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally 4 years old!!!! Not as bad as some of my comments saying it’s sad that I’m as old as I am and I’m dancing every single day on my IG !!!! Number 1) I hardly ever dance …. And number 2) I’m not poor at all !!! I have more ligature in my left toe than any grown man or woman on earth !!!! If you dont believe me … how long do you think I should keep this going for ??? Stray Kids are heading to Marvel as their label ventures into Latin music, let’s dive in. The Billboard cover stars of Stray Kids are going to be appearing on the soundtrack for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ The highly anticipated movie is hitting theaters on July 26th and with their new song, “Slash,” arriving on the soundtrack July 24th. And the band’s label, JYP Entertainment, tells Billboard they are launching a Latino music division that will be focused on developing artists for the Spanish language market. We can expect that to come together on an audition show called L2K that will “discover, train, and launch” the next global latin girl group. JYP’s audition show, A2K, aired in the U.S. last year and launched VCHA.
