Don’t Forget Me dropped at midnight via Capitol Records, and is the followup to 2022’s Surrender, her second major label effort, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200; and 2019’s Heard It in a Past Life, an LP that peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and earned the singer, songwriter and producer a Grammy nomination for best new artist.

Rogers co-produced Don’t Forget Me with Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris) at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, and wrote eight of its 10 songs with him (the other two she penned alone). Shawn Everett (Brittany Howard, The War on Drugs) mixed the set, with Emily Lazar (Beck, Coldplay) returning to master the longplay.

Ex-Little Mix Singer Perrie Edwards Starts Solo Career With ‘Forget About Us’

Perrie Edwards is making sure no one forgets her.

The former Little Mix star (who now goes by the name Perrie) takes a stride forward as a solo recording artist with “Forget About Us,” the first single lifted from her debut album.

While the British pop artist has kept schtum on information about the LP, Official Charts last month reported that she recently hosted a series of private listening parties for fans and industry pros in London where the singer previewed six new songs while telling the stories behind each.

“What I wanted to make sure of was that every song [from] a different genre had a sister or sibling on the album, so it’s not completely mismatched,” she tells the NME of her forthcoming album. “It makes sense when you listen to it as a body of work.” Expect it to include “Motowny” moments, “guitar-led ballads” and tracks with “Mariah Carey vibes”.

The album also features Little Mix collaborator Jin Jin, and RAYE, who took home the album of the year award at the March 2nd BRIT Awards for her debut album, My 21st Century Blues.

And, as previously reported, Ed Sheeran co-wrote “Forget About Us,” a polished pop ballad with country sensibilities. A spokesperson for her label confirmed the details of the report from the listening event, though no release date has been announced for the album yet.

Perrie burst onto the music scene in 2011 when she, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson were assembled on the British X Factor. The group released six albums before Nelson left the group in 2020 after the release of their final album, Confetti.

Little Mix made history at the 2021 Brit Awards when they became the first girl group in its four-decade-plus history to collect the best British group honor. Later that year, in December 2021, the remaining members went on hiatus; their final show, an April 2022 gig at the O2 Arena in London, was livestreamed.

Leigh-Anne has already made the solo leap, with 2023 debut single “Don’t Say Love” and followup “My Love,” a collaboration with Ayra Starr.

Future and Metro Boomin are back together on their second collab album, We Still Don’t Trust You, which dropped Friday (April 12) via Freebandz/Epic Records/Boominati Worldwide/Republic Records.

We Still Don’t Trust You arrives three weeks after We Don’t Trust You, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single “Like That” with Kendrick Lamar. The track struck a chord with a lot of rap fans (as well as Drake and J. Cole) for the “Motherf–k the big three, n—a, it’s just big me” line, which prompted Cole’s response on “7 Minute Drill” from the Dreamville MC’s surprise Might Delete Later project. At his own Dreamville Fest April 7, he walked back his claims and referred to the diss track as “lamest s–t” he’s done in his entire life.

We Don’t Trust You featured other notable guests such as The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti and Rick Ross. The 17-track LP opened with 2024’s second largest week by equivalent album units earned, behind Beyoncé‘s Cowboy Carter. It also marked Metro’s fourth No. 1 album and Future’s ninth.

After co-headlining Rolling Loud California at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif., in March, Future and Metro will be back at it for Lollapalooza at Chicago’s Grant Park this August. Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Final, Vol. 2’ Debuts in Top 10 on Latin Pop Albums Chart

Enrique Iglesias is back on the top 10 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart as his 12th studio album, Final, Vol. 2, debuts at No. 6 on the April 13-dated ranking.

The album, released March 29, via Sony Music Latin, marks the global pop singer’s final album, as reported, and brings together a diverse display of collaborators and genres, flexing through his classic pop, reggae-pop, bachata, and even a pop English-language collab with country singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert.

Final, Vol. 2 starts at No. 6 on Latin Pop Albums with 3,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. during the March 29-April 4 tracking week, according to Luminate.

Trending on Billboard

Of Final, Vol. 2’s first-week sum, streaming activity provides 2,000 units, which equates to 2.47million official on-demand U.S. audio and video streams of the album’s songs. Traditional album sales contribute 1,000 units, with the remaining balance owed to a negligible amount of track-equivalent album units.

On Latin Pop Albums (as well as Top Latin Albums) one unit equals to one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams for a song on the album.

With Final, Vol. 2, Iglesias scores his 13th top 10 and first since the set’s prequel, Final (Vol. 1) which took him to a No. 2 debut in 2021. In total, nine out of those top 10 albums hit No. 1 on Latin Pop Albums, including the 33-week champ Sex and Love in 2014.The latter ties with Juan Gabriel’s Los Duo 2 for the sixth-most weeks atop Latin Pop Albums since the tally launched in 1985.

Elsewhere, Final, Vol. 2 opens at No. 47 on Top Latin Albums, his 13th career entry there.

Final, Vol. 2 was preceded by three songs across Billboard’s charts, starting with the bachata “Así Es La Vida,” with Maria Becerra, which topped Tropical Airplay for eight consecutive weeks and earned Iglesias a first champ since “Bailando” in 2014.

Further, with “Fría,” with Youtuel, Iglesias earned his highest start on Latin Pop Airplay, with a No. 5 peak (March 16-dated ranking), since “Me Pasé,” featuring Farruko, for one week on top in 2021.

Lastly, thanks to “Space In My Heart,” Iglesias’ first team-up with country singer-songwriter, Miranda Lambert, the Spaniard re-enters the Adult Top 40 Airplay tally after 10 years, where the song peaked at No. 21 in March 2024.

K-Pop Singer-Songwriter Park Boram Found Dead at 30

Park’s agency Xanadu Entertainment shared the news of the singer-songwriter-actor’s sudden death on Friday (April 12) in Korea and said the cause of death was under investigation by police. The star was reportedly working on new music after releasing two new songs earlier this year.

Park Boram first impacted the K-pop industry at age 17, competing in the 2010 singing competition series Super Star K2 as a high school student with a love of R&B music and becoming one of the youngest finalists before finishing in eighth place. She made her official debut on the scene on Aug. 7, 2014, with the single “Beautiful,” featuring popular rapper Zico, which peaked at No. 2 on Korea’s local Gaon singles chart and won her an Artist of the Year honor for the chart’s top song of August at the 2014 Gaon Chart Music Awards. The track and music video was notably semi-autobiographical in detailing Park’s lengths to be “Beautiful,” including exercising and extreme dieting to lose a reported 70 pounds ahead of her debut. She released her first EP, Celepretty, in April 2015, which included “Beautiful” with its title track single, and she also secured another top 10 hit.

During her decade of singing, Park Boram was also known for her impactful contributions to Korean drama soundtracks like “Hyehwadong (or Sangmundong)” for the K-drama Reply 1988, which has boasted more than 16.5 million streams on Spotify since its 2015 release, or “Please Say Something Even Though I Know It’s a Lie” for the W soundtrack, which has nearly 12 million Spotify streams since 2016. Park collaborated with a range of different artists in Korea, including singer-songwriter Eric Nam, boy band member Park Kyung, balladeer Parc Jae Jung and rapper Lil Boi, and just this past February, she reunited with the winner of SuperStar K2, chart-topping vocalist Huh Gak, for their duet “I Hope.”

Following “I Hope,” Park Boram released the single “I Miss You” on April 3 as part of a project covering ’90s songs. It was previously shared that the star was working on an album celebrating her upcoming 10th anniversary for this summer.

Argylle was trending when it opened in theaters thanks to its star-studded cast (and cat). But even before the film hit theaters, Swifties were speculating that Taylor Swift secretly wrote the novel under a pseudonym (though director Matthew Vaughn quickly shut down the rumors).

Viewers will follow Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard), a bestselling author of espionage novels about the irresistible secret agent Argylle (Henry Cavill) — and a proud cat-lover. The two must try to stay one-step ahead of the syndicate’s assassins while also working together to prevent a global crisis from occurring.

Howard said she used Swift as her inspiration for her character Elly as she tried to channel her “unapologetic dorkiness,” the actress described in an interview with People.

Lipa, meantime, stars as the hypnotic LaGrange, who can be seen within the trailer dancing with agent Argylle. Other cast members also include Catherine O’Hara, Sam Rockwell, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Bryan Cranston and Jing Lusi.

Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’ Is Here: Stream It Now

Before she heads to the desert to perform at Coachella, Sabrina Carpenter unveiled a fun new single for her fans titled “Espresso.”

“Weirdly enough, ended up writing this song in France, and I think that that probably had a little bit of inspiration to how the song ended up feeling,” the pop star told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe of the track. “It just had that excitement and that energy of almost kind of traveling the world. We wrote it in France and I remember it being a very, very quick process. I mean, from start to finish I think that’s why you can kind of feel how fun it is. And I think for me, there was something really exciting about the fact that there was so much personality throughout the entire song, because those are the ones that are really, really fun to sing live with a crowd. Those are the ones that people, I think when they don’t know my music or who I am or anything, they can just tune in to a single song and kind of leave with a better idea of my sense of humor.”

The Girl Meets World alum is one of several artists slated to perform at both weekends of this year’s festival, which will be headlined by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat and Tyler, the Creator as well as feature a reunion concert from No Doubt. Also on the lineup are Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, J Balvin, Blur, Ice Spice and more, with performances kicking off Friday (April 12).
