First-person shooter fans can rejoice. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 is officially on the way.

On Thursday, May 23, Activision announced that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the next time up in the Call Of Duty series. However, if you’re looking for more details like what the campaign is looking like or which new sniper rifles you want to get your hands on, you’re going to have to be patient. The full reveal of the next Call of Duty game will go down immediately after the highly-anticipated Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 9 at 10amPT/1pmET.

Sean Kingston’s Mother Taken Into Custody After Miami House Raid

Sean Kingston’s mother, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on Thursday (May 23) after officers raided a Miami mansion rented by the singer, according to NBC Miami.

Broward County Sheriff’s deputies and Davie Police SWAT members entered the home and arrested Turner on fraud and theft charges, in relation to a lawsuit reportedly filed by attorney Dennis Card, alleging that the “Beautiful Girls” singer doesn’t pay for purchased items, according to the outlet. “He’s got basically a script, he says that he works with Justin Bieber, and that he obviously puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it, and he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without him paying for it and then he simply never pays,” Card said of the 34-year-old star.

It is unclear whether or not Kingston was at home during the raid. Billboard has reached out to Kingston’s reps as well as the Broward County Sheriff’s Department for more information.

Turner, meanwhile, pled guilty back in January 2006 to four counts of filing false loan applications and one count of bank fraud. She was subsequently sentenced to 16 months in prison, and five years of supervised release.

Kingston has kept a relatively low profile in recent years, releasing a handful of singles including 2022’s “Side,” “Queen of Daytona Beach” and the Chris Brown collaboration, “Ocean Drive.” Most recently, he dropped the track “How We Chop” in 2023. His last album was 2022’s Road to Deliverance.

Patrick Mahomes Reveals He Encouraged Travis Kelce to ‘Go For It’ With Taylor Swift at Eras Show

From Super Bowl touch downs to Taylor Swift, Patrick Mahomes has set up all of Travis Kelce‘s greatest catches.

On the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday (May 23), the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed that he was the one who first encouraged his teammate to shoot his shot with the “Anti-Hero” pop star. “I have to take some of the credit,” a smiling Mahomes told McAfee. “I was the one who invited Travis to the first Taylor concert, when the friendship bracelet was… He was sitting in my suite, so I feel like I was the matchmaker.”

As revealed by Kelce on past episodes of his New Heights podcast, his and Swift’s love story dates back to the singer’s Eras Tour stops in Kansas City last summer, which the tight end attended. While there, he tried to slip the 14-time Grammy winner a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but was disappointed to find that his future girlfriend wasn’t meeting guests that night.

According to Mahomes, however, he was the one who insisted that Kelce to try out the bracelet idea. “I had some input in there as well,” the three-time Super Bowl champion continued on McAfee’s show. “I was like, ‘Dude, just go for it. Just go for it.’ You know Travis, man. He does and he’s a great dude.”

Though the bracelet-giving tactic wasn’t initially successful for Kelce, his gesture eventually caught the attention of Swift. Just a couple months later, she attended her first of many Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium, and the Ohio native has since become a fixture at the superstar’s Eras Tour shows across the world.

Swift has also become a friend of the Mahomes family since dating Kelce, with the “Fortnight” musician getting particularly close with the quarterback’s wife, retired soccer player Brittany Mahomes, over the course of the 2023-24 season. The two women frequently sat together at games and hung out together in New York City a handful of times; plus, Swift attended the Mahomies Foundation charity gala with Kelce earlier this year and donated four Eras tickets to the cause.

RM’s Monster Chart Success | Billboard Explains

With RM’s solo project Right Place, Wrong Person coming out May 23, we take a look at his impressive chart success as a solo artist and with BTS. His hits such as “Wild Flower” and “Butter,” to name a few, have landed him on various Billboard charts.

RM is gearing up for the release of his upcoming solo project, Right Place, Wrong Person, and to celebrate, we’re highlighting some of his biggest chart accomplishments. This is Billboard Explains RM’s Monster Chart Success.

RM made his solo chart debut in March 2015 under his Rap Monster name, thanks to his song “P.D.D” with Warren G. The song debuted at No. 9 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. Then, his self-titled solo mixtape debuted at No. 12 on the World Albums Chart the next month.

“P.D.D”  was just the beginning for RM on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. He has 19 top 10s, and four have gone to No. 1, including “Wild Flower,” his collaboration with Youjeen. “Wild Flower” was a big success for RM: The track gave him his first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top 40 on the Billboard Global 200.

On the Billboard 200, RM has charted two projects: the mixtape, mono, which peaked at No. 26 in 2018, and his debut album Indigo, which hit No. 3 in 2022.

And we can’t forget the massive chart success he had with BTS. The group has charted six No. 1  albums on the Billboard 200, most recently with ‘Proof’ in June 2022. And they have had six No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Dynamite,” their Coldplay collab “My Universe,” and “Butter,” which dominated for 10 weeks in 2021.

Shaboozey, Paul Russell Manager Jared Cotter Promoted to Partner at Range Music

Range Music has promoted Jared Cotter to partner, the company announced Thursday (May 23). Cotter, who has been at Range since 2022, had been vp of A&R for the management company, which operates as the music division under the umbrella of Range Media Partners.

Cotter manages Paul Russell, whose song “Lil Boo Thing” reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year following its release on Arista Records. He also co-manages Shaboozey, who has enjoyed a breakout 2024. Two appearances on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album preceded the massive success of Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which has flown into the top five of the Hot 100 this past month, peaking at No. 3 on the chart (it currently sits at No. 4). The track also made history on Hot Country Songs, where it replaced Bey’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” and marked the first time two Black artists have led that chart in back to back weeks since the tally became an all-encompassing genre ranking in 1958. Cotter also co-manages Sean Cook, who produced “A Bar Song” and “Lil Boo Thing,” and manages Bazzi.

“I’m honored and humbled to ascend to partner at Range Music,” Cotter said in a statement. “This has been a personal goal of mine since starting here and I look forward to achieving new goals, and to continue to help build this world class entertainment company with my partners.”

Cotter came to Range after co-founding The Heavy Group in 2016, a management and production company where he first signed Bazzi several years ago. He also co-founded 3AM Entertainment, an indie label focusing on music from the South Asian diaspora, alongside Jay Sean and The Heavy Group co-founder Jeremy Skaller; 3AM inked a partnership with Universal Music Group’s Virgin Music in March to distribute the label’s recordings.

“Jared is the embodiment of the culture our partnership has been building over the last three years at Range Music,” Range managing partner/co-founder Jack Minihan said in a statement. “His hard work, creativity and thoughtful service to our clients is what stands him apart. His ability to identify breakthrough artists and execute their vision is inspiring. We are all thrilled to continue to build our business alongside him.”

Christian Nodal & Cazzu Split: ‘Our Love & Respect for Each Other Remains Strong’

Christian Nodal and Cazzu have called it quits, and confirmed on social media that they are going their separate ways. The news comes two years after the couple began dating, and nearly a year after the Mexican mariacheño star and Argentine rapper welcomed their daughter, Inti.

On Thursday (May 23), both artists shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. “The time has come to share that Julieta and I are going our separate ways,” Nodal wrote, which Cazzu reposted on her own account. “Our love and respect for each other remains strong, especially in our role as parents to our wonderful daughter, Inti. I am deeply grateful for the moments we shared and will always carry those memories fondly. I appreciate your support and understanding during this time of change.”

After reposting Nodal’s message, Cazzu shared in her own words: “We artists are a screen of what happens in real life. You go through love, heartbreak, successes and mistakes with us. Today, as it was many times and as there are still many, you accompany us, some with hate and others with much love. Thank you, everything heals.”

In April 2023, Cazzu revealed she was pregnant during a concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires when she dropped her white coat, revealing her baby bump. Five months later, she and Nodal shared a sweet photo holding their baby’s tiny hand, captioning it with a date: “14.09.23.” Since then, Nodal had been living in Argentina with Cazzu and their daughter.

In his Billboard cover story published in March, Nodal spoke about touring as a couple with Inti in tow. “I remember those times when I would come down from the stage and feel alone,” he said. “Now I come down to a stroller with my baby in it, and it all seems perfect. She has already been on tour with us, and I thought it would be hard, but she’s a rock star. When she was born, I was feeling exhausted. I don’t know how I managed to change diapers, but she gives me energy, motivation and strength.”

“Portrait of a Portrait” is the latest episode of Audible’s “Words + Music” series, which interviews artists about their influences and career.

Tommy Richman continues his reign, while three new tracks break into the top 10. “Million Dollar Baby’s” fight for Song of the Summer keeps it on top of the TikTok Billboard Top 50 for the chart posting May 23.

Adrianne Lenker earns her second top 10 hit with “Not a Lot, Just Forever” jumping from 30 to seven.
