Metro reported that hundreds of disappointed fans were queued up outside the theater when the news was announced. Though upset, Fanilows spread the love to the “Mandy” singer in comments on the X post about the rescheduling, with one writing, “Good news, what a relief to know you’re feeling better (if the doctor is OK, I’m happy you can perform today). You can count on me tonight and for the 10 other concerts (evening & afternoon),” and another adding, “I’m so happy to hear you’re feeling better, Barry. Have a wonderful show with everyone tonight. I can’t wait to see you again on 2nd June. “Don’t have to look no more here I am, I’m your man. You’re what I’ve waited for here I am, I’m your man…” At press time Manilow had not shared what ailment caused the show postponement.

Manilow is in the middle of a nine-show residency run at the venue entitled The Last, Last UK Concerts; the series is slated to run through June 9. The setting is fitting because the London Palladium was where Manilow performed his first UK gigs in 1978.

Earlier, in announcing the Palladium run, Manilow explained, “In 1978, The London Palladium is where I began my love affair with the British public. These shows will be my last full concerts in Britain and I wanted to end where I began – at the London Palladium.”

Before Tuesday’s show, Manilow revealed that Monday’s scotched gig has been rescheduled for June 9 at 2:30 p.m.

Sean Kingston Waives Right to Fight Extradition to Florida in Fraud Case

Sean Kingston signed papers in California on Tuesday (May 28) waiving his right to fight extradition to Florida, where he and his mother are charged with committing more than $1 million worth of fraud. According to the Associated Press, the “Beautiful Girls” singer/rapper, 34, did not make a public court appearance, but representatives from the San Bernardino courts and sheriff’s office confirmed to AP that Kingston signed papers in which he agreed to skip extradition.

In singing the papers, Kingston agreed to be turned over to authorities in Florida, though as of Tuesday afternoon he reportedly remained in a Southern California jail while sheriff’s officials coordinate his transfer to Florida. Kingston was arrested last Thursday on the Army training base in Fort Irwin, Calif. in the Mojave Desert, where he was booked to perform. His mother, 61-year-old Janice Turner, was also arrested on Thursday during a SWAT raid at Kingston’s rented mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

According to warrants from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, both son (born Kisean Paul Anderson) and mother have been charged with 10 counts, including conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, issuing faulty checks, probation violation and related crimes alleging that the pair stole money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade and furniture; Kingston was already on two years’ probation for trafficking stolen property.

On Tuesday, Kingston’s attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, told NBC News that the singer was in the process of returning to Florida after his gig on the base. “We want him back asap so we can show this is merely a civil case and not criminal. We look forward to challenging this case in court,” said Rosenblatt.

The charges and arrests stem from a lawsuit reportedly filed by attorney Dennis Card, whose suit alleges that Kingston has allegedly displayed a pattern of not paying for items. “My client has a $150,000 television sound system that’s in there, there’s also about $1 million worth of watches that are in there, there’s a $80,000 custom bed that was ordered. This is an organized systematic fraud,” Card told NBC Miami. He added, that Kingston has “basically a script. He says that he works with Justin Bieber, and that he obviously puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it, and he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without him paying for it and then he simply never pays.”

According to the AP, warrants in the case say that from October to March, Kingston and his mother allegedly stole nearly $500,000 in jewelry, more than $200,00 from Bank of America, $160,000 from an Escalade dealer, more than $100,000 from First Republic Bank and $86,000 from the maker of customized beds.

Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’ Leads U.K. Chart Race

Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” (Island) simply won’t cool down in the U.K., where it’s on track for a fifth consecutive week at No. 1.

The summer hit leads an unchanged top 3 on the midweek chart, ahead of Billie Eilish’s “Lunch” (Interscope) and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (American Dogwood/Empire), respectively.

Based on sales and streaming data captured by the Official Charts Company, the highest new entry should belong to Central Cee and Lil Baby with their collaborative single “BAND4BAND”. It’s new at No. 4 on the Official Chart Update,

On the outside looking into the top 10 is rising soul-pop singer Myles Smith with “Stargazing” (RCA). It’s on the rise, and is forecast to improve 14-11, for a new high.

A hatful of U.S. country stars have recently enjoyed chart success in the U.K., a period that’s been described as a renaissance for the genre in these parts. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song,” Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” (No. 5 midweek via Republic Records), “Dasha’s “Austin” (No. 9 midweek via Warner Records) and, of course, Beyonce’s chart-topping, country-flavored Cowboy Carter LP (Columbia/Parkwood Ent), have all rounded up top 10 spots on the U.K. charts. Zach Bryan wants in on the action. The U.S. country singer’s “Pink Skies” (Warner Records) flies in for a No. 31 start on the chart blast. It’s set to become his second U.K. Top 40 entry following his 2023 duet with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything,” which peaked at No. 14.

Finally, Teddy Swims is eyeing a top 40 with “The Door,” the followup to “Lose Control,” his breakthrough blues number. “The Door” is up 45-33 on the chart blast, and could give the U.S. singer and songwriter his second U.K. top 40 appearance. “Lose Control” peaked at No. 2 earlier this year.

All will be revealed when the Official U.K. Singles Chart is published late Friday, May 31.

Twenty One Pilots Flying High on Midweek U.K. Chart With ‘Clancy’

Twenty One Pilots could land their very first No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart, with Clancy.

The Columbus, OH duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun lead the midweek chart with Clancy (via Atlantic/Fueled By Ramen), their seventh studio album. The recording will become the group’s fourth U.K. top 10, following 2015 release Blurryface (No. 5 peak), 2018’s Trench (No. 2) and 2021’s Scaled and Icy (No. 3) — and perhaps their first leader.

Joseph and Dun will support the 13-track LP with a major tour, spanning 59 dates that kick off Aug. 15 in the United States, before heading overseas for legs in Europe and Australia.

The British songsmith’s 17th studio effort is close behind at No. 2 on the Official Chart Update, and is set to become set to become his 23rd solo U.K. top 10 album, the Official Charts Company reports. The ex-The Jam and The Style Council frontman has scored six solo U.K. No. 1 albums: 1995’s Stanley Road, 2002 record Illumination, 2008’s 22 Dreams, 2012’s Sonik Kicks, 2020’s On Sunset and, most recently, 2021’s Fat Pop.

All will be revealed when the Official U.K. Albums Chart is published late Friday, May 31.

It’s official; the Indiana Pacers are going to Cancun. The Boston Celtics swept them in the NBA Eastern Finals.

As reported by ESPN the Celtics have proven to be the best NBA team in the Eastern Conference. On Monday, May 27 they won their fourth straight game against the Indiana Pacers. While Andrew Nembhard and his squad fought hard they couldn’t maintain their 98-90 lead with under six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Boston’s clutch defense caused the Pacers to miss several shots and turnover the ball. The Celtics outscored Indiana 15-4 to close out the series.

Jaylen Brown lead his team with 29 points, three steals, six rebounds, two assists and one block. At the end of the game he was given the Larry Bird Trophy as the Eastern Conference MVP. He made it clear the honor came to him as a surprise. “I wasn’t expecting it at all” he said. “I don’t never win sh*t.” The Marietta, Georgia native went on salute the Pacers during their celebration. “And give credit to Indiana, they played us tough. I know people think that Indiana wasn’t a good team or whatever the case may be, but I thought they were as tough as anybody we played all season. They were physical, they were fast, they put a lot of pressure on us. So shout out to them, and respect to them.”

When asked about his second trip to the NBA Finals Jayson Tatum responded “it’s special.” He added “even though we’ve been there before, most of us have, you don’t take it for granted. We were excited.” The Dallas Mavericks currently lead the Minnesota Timberwolves 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals.

Eminem Conjures Up New Single ‘Houdini’: Here’s When It Arrives

For his next trick, Eminem will release a new single.

On Tuesday (May 28), Em posted a joint Instagram video with magician David Blaine to announce the name and release date for his new single: “Houdini” will arrive first thing Friday.

In the video, Eminem rings up Blaine on FaceTime to ask for his help. “Yo, listen, I need your help with something,” the rapper says. “Yeah, whatever you need,” Blaine replies. “Well first of all, I just want you to know you’re the greatest to ever do it,” Eminem says, to which Blaine responds: “We should do something together one time.”

“What I was wondering is, how far can we go with this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?” Eminem asks. Blaine then grabs a glass of red wine from a nearby cafe and proceeds to down the wine before biting into the glass itself, eliciting gasps from onlookers as the glass shatters into his mouth.

“Well for my last trick,” Eminem says in response, “I’m gonna make my career disappear.”

Trending on Billboard

“Wait, what?” Blaine says with glass shards still in his mouth, before the screen goes black except for this message: “‘Houdini’ 5.31.24.”

The song will be the lead single from Eminem’s already-announced 11th album, The Death of Slim Shady. The project will be his first in four years, following 2020’s Billboard 200-topping album Music to Be Murdered By.

Notably, this is the second major single called “Houdini” to be released in the past year, with Dua Lipa dropping her own ode to the Hungarian-American escape artist in November.

While we don’t have an exact release date for The Death of Slim Shady, a teaser released last month promised it would arrive in “summer 2020.”
