Kendrick Helps Burger Joint Featured in ‘Not Like Us’ Video Boost Sales

The Kendrick stimmy pack is the gift that keeps on giving.

Tam’s Burgers No. 21 — located on Rosecrans Ave. in his hometown of Compton — has seen a major uptick in business after being prominently featured in his video for “Not Like Us,” according to TMZ. We called and confirmed that they’ve seen around a 40 percent increase in sales with most customers ordering Kendrick’s go-to bacon cheeseburger. They also told us they’re thinking about naming a menu item after the Compton rapper.

In the video, Dot and Mustard pull up to the local burger joint in a black 2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale for a quick break during the song’s second verse. Lamar has been going to Tam’s for years, telling Complex during a 2012 interview that sometimes he prefers their burgers over In-N-Out. “Everybody loves In-N-Out, but it’s a very clean-cut burger. Tam’s is street-sloppy, burgers and shakes. It’s a chain, but it’s still hood,” he said.

This isn’t the first time, Kendrick helped a local spot get some more customers. He mentioned Toronto Chinese restaurant New Ho King in his other Drake diss song “Euphoria,” rapping, “I be at New Ho King eatin’ fried rice with a dip sauce and a blammy, crodie” which also brought in more traffic. They even went so far as to add the “Kendrick Lamar Special” to their menu consisting of four dishes that include fried rice with dip sauce, fried shrimp, spicy chicken wings, and beef and broccoli.

We can’t give Kendrick all the credit here, though. New Ho King was featured prominently in the video of Drake’s response “Family Matters.” The restaurant’s owner can be seen wearing Pharrell’s jewelry that the Toronto rapper notoriously bought in auction.

Tam’s was also featured on the set of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show.

Reviewers Swear These $3 ‘ZitSticka’ Patches Work Way Better Than Acne Dots

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Anti-acne patches have become a go-to method for eliminating zits quickly and painlessly with clinical studies finding that a pimple solution can reduce healing time by 40%, according to WorldMetrics.org. Plus, the site adds that 95% of dermatologists believe pimple patches are effective for mild to moderate acne. Hero Cosmetic’s Mighty Patches were one of the first iterations of the skincare product to gain attention along with Starface’s gen-Z-approved patches (beloved by stars like Justin Bieber), but now ZitSticka has entered the chat and it’s promising to be an acne “killa.”

Touching and picking at your acne is a quick way to lead to scabbing, bleeding and, in serious cases, scarring. ZitSticka Killa patches help dissuade you from touching your pimples by providing a barrier that’ll protect your clogged pores, while helping to draw out oils and pus. Unlike common pimple patches, ZitSticka’s version is designed with micro darts that’ll penetrate your skin and infuse healing ingredients into even your deepest pimples.

Amazon and Ulta are offering the ZitSticka Killa acne patches for up to 15%, which you can snag online below.

These Killa patches come in packs of four, eight, 12 and 20 depending on how often you plan on using the skincare product. The above deal saves you 15% on a pack of eight. That brings the price down to less than $3 per pimple patch.

Each patch comes with 24 micro darts filled with hydrocolloid to help penetrate acne under the skin’s surface. The product aims to work within two hours and has already been purchased by 2,000 Amazon shoppers this month.

TikTok has praised the skincare essential’s capabilities with more than 26 million searches for the term “ZitSticka Killa before and after.” If you’re more prone to cystic acne, most TikTokers find the ZitSticka to be the best acne patches as it penetrates the skin deeper than traditional flat versions. To see the pimple patch in action, user @cystur posted a review of the product showing a before and after that has gathered close to 10,000 views.

“Let’s dissolve my giant pimple,” the text says in the video.

Pimples that have a whitehead may find more immediate results with flat pimple patches like the bestselling Mighty Patches. Since the pimple already has surfaced to the top of your skin, the ingredients like hydrocolloid will draw out all the “gunk” and leave you with a flat surface instead of a raised bump.

More than 100,000 Amazon shoppers have purchased the No. 1 bestseller for its ability to quickly draw out pus and oils from clogged pores. The brand recommends cleaning your skin before placing the patch on and keeping it on for at least six hours. You can choose from a variety of packs including 24, 36 or 72 pimple patches.

New York-based Mount Sinai dermatologist Whitney Bowe considers both brands her favorite for combatting pimples. In a TikTok, Bowe describes how using hydrocolloid has been used by derms for “decades” to help heal open wounds as the ingredient helps absorb excess fluid and create a moist environment that’s ideal for healing.

“I’m a huge fan of these for pimples because if you think about it a pimple is almost like a wound in many ways,” she says in the video.

Roger Federer Meets Taylor Swift Backstage at the Eras Tour in Zürich: ‘In My Swiftie Era’

Taylor Swift may be partial to football at the moment, but she’s still making time to meet with the greats of other sports too. Following her first of two Eras Tour shows in Zürich Tuesday (July 9), the pop star spoke with Roger Federer backstage, after which the tennis champion posted a selfie of their encounter and declared his love for the musician.

In the snap — which appears to have been taken by Swift herself — Federer wears a VIP badge around his neck while beaming at the camera. The “Anti-Hero” singer also smiles into the lens, still sporting the final Midnights leotard she wears at the very end of her show.

“In my Swiftie era ??????????️?,” the former Olympian captioned the post.

Trending on Billboard

Based on his use of emojis, Federer isn’t kidding around when he labels himself a “Swiftie.” Each one appears to specifically represent one of the 14-time Grammy winner’s 11 albums — a blue butterfly for her self-titled debut, a hand-heart for Fearless, a purple heart for Speak Now, a scarf for Red, a cityscape for 1989, a snake for Reputation, a pierced heart for Lover, a mirrorball for Folklore, a tree for Evermore, a clock for Midnights and white heart for The Tortured Poets Department.

Hours after Federer posted their selfie, Swift finished up her two-night stay at Switzerland’s Letzigrund Stadium with a final performance Wednesday (July 10). She’s headed next for Milan, where she’ll play two shows at San Siro.

And though everything turned out for the best in the end, Travis Kelce might find his superstar girlfriend’s meeting with Federer a little ironic. Back before the Kansas City Chiefs tight end started dating Swift, he too was a pro athlete hoping to be introduced to her backstage at an Eras Tour show — but in his case, the “Karma” artist declined.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce complained on an episode of his New Heights podcast last year, a couple months before he and Swift ended up dating. “I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her … She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”

Luke Combs on His ‘The Man I Am’ Country Music Hall of Fame Exhibit: 5 Essential Items

On Wednesday (July 10), Luke Combs celebrated the opening of his new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit, Luke Combs: The Man I Am.

The exhibit opens July 11 and runs through June 2025, and is included with museum admission. The exhibit chronicles North Carolina native Combs’s life and career, from growing up in a small-town community to his current status as a two-time Country Music Association entertainer of the year winner and one of country music’s foremost hitmakers.

The exhibit traces some of Combs’s earliest musical moments, such as seeing a Vince Gill concert with his mother and grandmother, his early musical performances in school choirs and musicals, and Combs’ decision to practice guitar while studying criminal justice at Appalachian State University. He began posting cover versions of country and R&B hits, as well as his original music, on platforms including YouTube and Vine.

Combs moved to Nashville in September 2014, at age 24. But he also steadily continued building his audience one concert at a time. He released a few independent EPs, with his song “Hurricane” swiftly connecting with fans.

In 2017, “Hurricane” became Combs’s first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart and marked a gale-force signaling of a star on the rise–one with a formidable combination of top-shelf songcraft, a humble, hard-working, everyman persona and what would quickly become one of country music’s most distinctive voices.

Two years later, Combs became the first artist to top Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart with his first five singles — and went on to extend that lead to 13 consecutive chart-toppers (he has now seen 16 solo songs reach the pinnacle of the Country Airplay chart). In 2019, he also ascended to headlining arenas and amphitheaters, then rose to stadium headlining status. His sold-out 2023 world tour not only traversed North America, but displayed his music’s global-spanning reach, as he also headlined in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

He’s also earned three top 10 hits on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, including 2020’s “Forever After All” and 2022’s “The Kind of Love We Make.” Last year, he earned a No. 2 hit on the Hot 100 (and a five-week Country Airplay chart-topper) with a rendition of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 hit “Fast Car.” The two singer-songwriters would create one of the Grammys’ most talked-about moments of the decade when they joined forces to perform “Fast Car” together in February. The song also earned a Grammy nomination for best country solo performance, and was named single of the year at both the Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards.

Combs’s The Man I Am exhibit displays stage clothes, photographs, childhood memorabilia, manuscripts and set lists from his life and career, but also highlights a key relationship that has sparked and sustained the chart-topping albums, sold-out tours and surging global acclaim: his solid relationship with his fans.

“I’m so excited for the fans to finally see this exhibit,” Combs tells Billboard via email. “The Country Music Hall of Fame has put in a lot of time and effort, and I think it turned out really great. Still crazy to think my things and career need an exhibit, but the fans have made that happen, so this is for them and I hope they enjoy it.”

Below, Combs tells Billboard about five items that highlight his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Tiësto to Open New Dallas Venue Located in Old Grain Silo

Independent promoter Donnie Estopinal and Dallas entrepreneur Patrick Tetrick are opening a new venue in Dallas next month in the city’s celebrated Design District.

SILO Dallas will open with back-to-back performances by Tiësto Sept. 19 and 20 following three years of planning and development of the concrete landmark. First built in 1959 as a grain storage facility for Johnson Grain Company, the building played a crucial role in feeding Texans and supplying General Foods’ Cereal Division.

The 30,000 sq.-ft. modular custom space with 40-foot high ceilings can accommodate up to 3,145 guests and will be powered by an over 100,000-watt D&B sound system, a new HVAC system and a huge 40-foot by 30-foot stage. Acoustic design for SILO Dallas is by Owens, which designed the Winspear Opera House.

“We have a fan community who is hungry for live entertainment all of the time,” said Estopinal, founder of Disco Donnie Presents, which promotes festivals in Texas, Florida and throughout the Southeast. “Even with the success of major festivals like Lights All Night, Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival, Ubbi Dubbi, and So What?!, we haven’t had a venue in Dallas that we can control and can call home. Silo solves that.”

Estopinal is known for successful events at venues like the Texas State Fair and Dallas Convention Center. He plans to continue this tradition with SILO Dallas, projecting millions in economic impact and numerous job opportunities within its first year.

“We found the only building in Dallas that had no parking lot, no roof, no electrical, no plumbing, no HVAC – and it’s kind of on Holy Ground,” Tetrick said. “The community’s response to our vision has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to making SILO Dallas a key player in the city’s cultural and economic landscape.”

The venue will host a number of high-profile acts in its first month, including superstar DJs Sasha & John Digweed on Sept. 28, Above & Beyond’s premier record label Anjunabeats showcase on Oct. 10 and James Hype on Nov. 1.

As Rolling Stone previously reported, Perry reunited with some producers of her previous works, including Stargate, Max Martin and, most controversially, Dr. Luke. In 2023, Kesha and Dr. Luke settled their bitter, nine-year legal battle before it was scheduled to go to trial. The producer claimed Kesha defamed him in 2014 when she made the “false and shocking” allegation that he drugged and raped her after a 2005 party.

At one point in the legal battle, Perry was brought into the conversation. In a deposition dated July 21, 2017, and released in August 2018, Perry denied allegations that Luke raped her. She also said she was never given a roofie by Luke, never in a sexual or romantic relationship with Luke and never told anyone — even jokingly — that Luke raped her.

Trending on Billboard

The claims were part of Luke’s defamation lawsuit against Kesha, with Luke’s team claiming then that Kesha told Lady Gaga in a text message conversation that Luke had raped Perry as well. Kesha, in turn, responded saying that her and Gaga had been both told that information first by a major label CEO.

With Dr. Luke’s controversial past and in light of his legal battle with Kesha, a number of fans took to social media to express disappointment in Perry’s choice to reunite with the producer. “I’m sorry but I can’t listen to any new Katy Perry song that is written and/or produced by Dr Luke,” one fan tweeted, for example. “I don’t like Dr Luke for many reasons and I just can’t personally support his career. I’m sorry Katy but I am very disappointed.”

Michael Ray & Audrina Partridge Confirm Romance With Sweet Couple Photo

Michael Ray and Audrina Partridge are officially dating, as confirmed by the couple in their first Instagram post together.

The 39-year-old model made her relationship with the 36-year-old country singer public Tuesday (July 9) by sharing an adorable photo at Tooth & Nail House of Wine in Paso Robles, Calif., onto her feed. In the snap, which Ray also shared on his Story, she smiles while holding his face close to hers as he beams back at her.

“There’s a lot of things in life worth letting go,” she captioned the post, quoting the Florida native’s new song “Hold.” “But the ones that mean the most, you gotta hold.”

In the comments, Ray wrote, “Let’s go babe!!! Grateful for you and Kirra,” referring to Partridge’s eight-year-old daughter with ex-husband Corey Bohan.

Trending on Billboard

The The Hills alum and Bohan were married from 2016 to 2018. Ray was also previously wed, to fellow country star Carly Pearce; the ex-couple was married for about eight months before the “I Hope You’re Happy Now” singer filed for divorce in 2020.

Partridge and Ray first sparked dating rumors in late June, with the former sharing a snap on her Story featuring a man who appeared to be the “Whiskey and Rain” artist holding her as they shared a kiss. “This one…,” she captioned the post at the time.

Their relationship confirmation comes a few weeks after Ray released his latest single “Drink With Our Friends” in the last week of May. Before that came “Hold,” which followed March’s “Nothin’ Else.”

“My baby really six…..Like how?” she wrote in disbelief while seemingly wishing she could press pause on life and stop time. The cute post featured a pair of heartwarming photos of Kulture growing up. One being her first Christmas grinning in a Santa hat and pajamas while the other finds her a few years older in a white dress making a heart sign with her hands.

“Time flies fr. happy birthday kk so beautiful,” one fan replied. Another wished Kulture a happy birthday, “Aww happy bday kulture!!! your kid really your clone!”

Cardi B, Offset and their kids enjoyed a family day at Disneyland Paris earlier this week to kick off the celebrations for Kulture’s birthday.

The Grammy-winning rapper sported a massive silver Chanel bag that could fit just about everything her family could ever need at The Happiest Place on Earth.

The adventures continued on Wednesday with Cardi B giving fans a look into their eventful day via her Instagram Story at the zoo. Kulture and brother Wave had the chance to pet and feed giraffes. Kulture looked like a princess with a pink bedazzled dress, a pearl necklace and bow in her hair.

Earlier in the day, what appeared to be hotel staff presented her with a birthday cake as everyone joined in on singing “Happy Birthday” while momma Cardi captured some footage.

Last year, for Kulture’s fifth birthday, Cardi and Offset treated their daughter to a fun-filled day at Nickelodeon Universe in New Jersey.

With Cardi doing it big for Kulture’s sixth, the bar is high for their son Wave’s third birthday coming up in September.

Following the birthday festivities, it remains to be seen if Cardi will get back to music and her long-awaited sophomore album. She teased a Janet Jackson-sampling track earlier in July and appears determined to overcome her detractors praying on her downfall.

“I have everything planned, locked, and ready to go. Every thing I said I would do this year, I’m going to do it. Nothing is going to stop me. I proved myself before and I’m going to do it again… now rest,” she wrote on June 29.

Spotify Customers Drop Class Action Lawsuit Over ‘Car Thing’ Device Deactivation

A group of consumers have dropped a class action lawsuit against Spotify over its recent decision to kill its short-lived “Car Thing” device, a case that claimed the streamer left users holding “a useless product.”

Filed in May, the case came just days after Spotify announced that the Car Thing — a device launched in 2021 for playing music in a car — would be bricked in December. The customers claimed the move left them “with nothing more than a paperweight that cost between $50 and $100.”

But less than two months later, attorneys for the jilted consumers said Tuesday (July 9) that they would drop the lawsuit. The move came without explanation and does not indicate that any kind of settlement with Spotify was reached.

Trending on Billboard

In their initial complaint, the aggrieved buyers claimed Spotify had refused to offer refunds and, at the time of the lawsuit’s filing, the company’s FAQ addressing the deactivation did not make any mention of refunds. It simply told users that Spotify was “not offering any trade-in options” and urged them to consider “safely disposing of your device following local electronic waste guidelines.”

But after the news of the lawsuit had spread, Spotify’s website was updated to include a new section covering refunds. In the updated text, Spotify tells users: “Individuals seeking a refund can contact customer support with proof of purchase to discuss their options.”

It’s unclear if the move to more clearly offer refunds resulted in the withdrawal of the lawsuit, and neither side immediately returned requests for more information. But the voluntary dismissal was made “without prejudice,” meaning the accusers could refile the case at some point in the future if they choose to do so.

Spotify announced Car Thing in April 2021, saying it would provide users with a “seamless and personalized in-car listening experience.” The product — a touch screen with a physical dial that still requires access to a smartphone — rolled out in February 2022 at a price point of $89.99. But just months later, Spotify said it would cease production, telling investors that they “frankly haven’t seen the volume at the higher prices that would make the current product financially viable.”

Then in May, Spotify alerted users that it would stop supporting the devices entirely. The company told users that it was “not a decision we made lightly” and offered a link to customer service to “ensure that you have the right place to reach out if you have any questions.” A week later, the company confirmed in a public statement that the move, set to take effect Dec. 9, would render the devices fully inoperable.

On May 28, three Car Thing buyers — Hamza Mazumder, Anthony Bracarello and Luke Martin — filed their lawsuit, accusing Spotify of violating state and federal laws by essentially duping their clients into buying a “useless product.”

“Had plaintiffs and other members of the class known that Spotify manufactured the Car Thing with the ability to brick the product at any point after its introduction to the marketplace and in Spotify’s total discretion, they would not have bought a Car Thing, or would have paid substantially less for them,” the lawsuit read.
