All of Vicente Fernández Songs Performed by Alejandro Fernández on His Tour, Ranked

The death of Vicente Fernández at 81 years old in 2021 marked the end of a golden era of Mexican ranchera music that lasted almost a century and was immortalized in both film and music by larger than life stars like José Alfredo Jiménez, Javier Solís, Antonio Aguilar and Fernández’s idol, Pedro Infante.

Now, Fernández’s lasting legacy not only in Mexico but throughout the entire Spanish speaking universe, is receiving a further boost with De Rey a Rey, the album and tour by his also superstar son, Alejandro Fernández, performing songs from his father’s vast recorded catalog.

Last weekend, Alejandro Fernández kicked of the De Rey a Rey Tour with two sold out shows at Mexico City’s Plaza de México, where he performed nearly 30 songs made famous by his father decades ago. The repertoire, ranging from beloved standards like “El Rey” to chart hits like “Estos Celos,” ran the gamut of Vicente’s long career and the universal appeal of his themes: love, honor and respect.

Alejandro also sang songs from his own extensive repertoire, which straddles contemporary pop and ballads as well as traditional Mexican music, but as he often does — and like his father, he wore his signature charro outfit.

“I’ve had the good fortune of being born with two great blessings: I was born Mexican, and I was born a Fernández,” Alejandro told the crowd. “Today, we’re celebrating the life of the great Mexican charro as he would have liked: Singing his songs. Viva Vicente Fernández! Viva music and tequila! Viva México!”

Alejandro will continue De Rey a Rey with shows in Mexico Nov. 2 and 7, and will relaunch his tour through Mexico and 27 U.S. cities in early 2025.

Meantime, Billboard’s Latin and Billboard Español editors have ranked all the Vicente Fernández songs currently on the show’s set list. From “El Rey” to “A Mi Manera,” here are the Vicente Fernández songs you will hear soon in Alejandro Fernández’s voice.

Randy Rainbow Foresees a Dark Future Under Donald Trump in ‘Xanadu’ Parody Video: Watch

Election Day is less than a week away, and viral comedian Randy Rainbow is making one last pitch against former president Donald Trump in his latest parody video.

On Tuesday (Oct. 29), Rainbow sat down for one more fake interview with the twice-impeached former president, checking in on him as the businessman-turned-politican heads into the final stretch of his campaign (“You look like s–t, how are you feeling?” Rainbow asked with a smile), before wondering aloud why the polls were so close. “I can’t sleep nights,” Rainbow declared. “I keep imagining the dark, hate-filled, Orwellian, deep-fried, comb-over, fever dream hellscape this country will become if your crazy a– wins!”

With the premise set, Rainbow launched into his latest parody track, “Magadu.” Lifting the melody of Olivia Newton-John and the Electric Light Orchestra’s 1980 hit “Xanadu” from the film of the same name, Rainbow immediately takes the song’s premise of a mythical, heavenly place in the track’s title and flips it on its head.

“A place where nobody wants to go/ A country so lame and low/ They call it Magadu,” he sings. “But if you vote for this bag of d–ks/ As soon as Nov. 6/ We’ll be in Magadu!”

As Rainbow speculated about the “dark dystopia of absurd extremes” that would occur under a second Trump presidency, the singer made sure to point to Project 2025, the much-discussed 900-page document outlining a plan for Trump to consolidate power in his second presidency and help impose ultra-conservative policies around the country.

“In the year of Project 2025/ Those creeps gonna kick their creepy plans into overdrive/ No more protections or kindness or joy/ And guess who’s gonna be their poster boy?” Rainbow sings on the bridge. “When Planet Earth dries up and demagogues thrive/ No education and nobody’s free/ They’re gonna set us back a century.”

Closing out his song, Rainbow made his choice in the 2024 election clear as a clip of Vice President Kamala Harris saying “we will not go back” played alongside his final plea: “Let’s no go there, there’s no clean air/ Don’t wanna go, girl, just say no to Magadu!”

SEVENTEEN Make ‘GMA’ Debut With High Energy Performance of ‘LOVE, MONEY, FAME’ Single

If you were looking for a breezy break from the unrelenting torrent of news about the Nov. 5 presidential election, SEVENTEEN had just what you needed on Wednesday morning (Oct. 30). The 13-member K-pop boy band marked their debut performance on ABC’s Good Morning America by providing some musical caffeine via the first U.S. TV run-through of their new single, “LOVE, MONEY, FAME” from their 12th mini album, SPILL THE FEELS.

Though the song’s featured artist, DJ Khaled, was not on hand, S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON and DINO, rocked the GMA stage with their signature mix of smooth vocal harmonies, rapping and intricate choreography as the members took turns in the spotlight for the English-language version of the song.

The performance came after the group racked up their sixth top 10-charting release on the Billboard 200 album chart with SPILL, which debuted at No. 5 with 66,000 equivalent album units earned for the week ending Oct. 24.

The superstar group kicked off the U.S. leg of their [RIGHT HERE] world tour in Chicago last week, marking their first American dates in more than two years. Every Tyler, the Creator Project, Ranked: Staff Picks

With the release of his seventh studio album, we see where Chromakopia ranks in his catalogue.

Tyler, the Creator is one of the most influential pop culture figures of his generation. In addition to creating one of the most ambitious musical catalogs, he’s managed to cross over into fashion and television. This wasn’t the case when he first stepped on the scene with his Odd Future crew. They were the outsiders. Back when the music industry was trying to make sense of the internet, rap blogs like NahRight and 2DopeBoyz kept Tyler and company out of the conversation. It wasn’t a surprise then when Tyler took aim at them and other alleged gatekeepers on his debut mixtape, using their perceived slights as fuel to power his creative vision.

Since then, Tyler has become a world builder, crafting a unique POV and concept around each new album. However, he really seemed to figure things out after he released Cherry Bomb in 2015. Every album since then has raised the bar, not only for himself, but for hip-hop in general. In the age of streaming, it’s become rare for an artist to approach albums the way Tyler does. He doesn’t give fans a collection of songs built for the algorithm, he takes you into his world and takes you on an adventure. He gives fans songs and visuals that makes them feel something, whether it’s positive or negative.

This time around, he’s built a world around a dictator character with his latest Chromakopia on which he raps about dealing with celebrity and adulthood. After sitting with it for 24 hours, we decided to see where it fits in with Tyler’s other projects.

Check to see where his most recent lands on our list below.

For artists like Danny Ocean and María Becerra, who have left their homelands to pursue global music careers, staying connected to their roots is vital. Although Miami offers him exciting new opportunities, his connection to Venezuela remains strong. His music carries the essence of his homeland, serving as a reminder of the warmth and energy of his roots, even as he continues to evolve as an international artist.

For Danny, it’s not just about satisfying his hunger—it’s a way to stay connected to the culture and flavors he grew up with, offering him a sense of home in the midst of a bustling city.

Similarly, María Becerra, one of Argentina’s rising stars, carries her love for her homeland wherever she goes. Hailing from Buenos Aires, her music blends urban pop with Latin rhythms, reflecting the culture and energy of Argentina. Even though she’s made Miami her new home to advance her music career, Argentina remains close to her heart. 21 Savage & Summer Walker’s ‘Prove’ Moves to No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay Chart

21 Savage and Summer Walker’s latest collaboration, “Prove It,” wraps a nearly five-month journey to No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart date Nov. 2. The single, released through Slaughter Gang/Epic Records, advances from No. 2 as it became the most-played song on U.S. monitored rhythmic radio stations in the tracking week of Oct. 18 – 24, according to Luminate.

“Prove It” jumped 7% in plays in the latest tracking week compared with the prior frame. It ousts Megan Thee Stallion’s “Mamushi,” featuring Yuki Chiba, from the top spot, with the former champ sliding to No. 4 after a 14% reduction in plays.

Trending on Billboard

In capturing the top spot on its 20th chart week, “Prove It” ties for the second-longest run to the summit on Rhythmic Airplay since the list launched in 1992. The single matches the treks of Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite” (2009) and Miguel’s “Sky Walker,” featuring Travis Scott (2018), while all three trail TLC’s “Waterfalls,” which needed 24 weeks to obtain the No. 1 spot in 1995.

Thanks to “Prove It,” 21 Savage banks his eighth champ on the Rhythmic Airplay chart and third of 2024. Here’s a review of his chart-topping collection on the radio ranking:

Song Title, Artist (if other than 21 Savage), Weeks at No. 1, Date Reached No. 1

  • “Rockstar,” Post Malone featuring 21 Savage, six, Nov. 11, 2017
  • “A Lot,” two, April 20, 2019
  • “Jimmy Cooks,” Drake featuring 21 Savage, one, Oct. 8, 2022
  • “Rich Flex,” with Drake, two, Jan. 28, 2023
  • “Creepin’,” with Metro Boomin & The Weeknd, three, Feb. 11, 2023
  • “Surround Sound,” JID featuring 21 Savage & Baby Tate, one, March 9, 2024
  • “Redrum,” two, April 27, 2024
  • “Prove It,” with Summer Walker, one, Nov. 2, 2024

Walker achieves her first Rhythmic Airplay leader with her seventh visit to the list. Her previous best was also through a team-up with 21 Savage: “Good Good,” also with Usher, reached a No. 2 high in October 2023.

Elsewhere, “Prove It” slips 4-3 from its peak on the plays-based Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay following a 4% decline in weekly spins. It holds at No. 5 on the audience-based R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, after having reached No. 4, and sheds 2% in format audience to claim 11.5 million for the tracking week. Weighing the rhythmic gains with R&B/hip-hop losses, the net result is still positive: “Prove It” pushes 29-27 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart with a 1% audience gain to 22 million in weekly listenership.

“Prove It” appears on 21 Savage’s latest studio album, American Dream. The set, released in January, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving the rapper his fourth consecutive chart-topper.

Sophie Turner Says She and Ex Joe Jonas Had a ‘Beautiful Relationship’ Before Things Fell Apart

As exciting and whirlwind as her romance was with Jonas Brothers singer and solo star Joe Jonas was, looking back on it now Sophie Turner can kind of sketch out what went wrong. In a new Harper’s Bazaar 2024 Women of the Year profile, the former Game of Thrones actress said her upcoming 2025 psychological thriller Trust — in which she plays an actress on the run after a high-profile internet scandal — “really mirrored my life from this past year.”

She said filming the movie was a very “cathartic” experience and a chance to “let out some serious anger, which was fun.” Not as fun was the end of her four-year marriage to Jonas, whom she married in 2019 in a Las Vegas wedding overseen by an Elvis impersonator that was livestreamed by Diplo.

Trending on Billboard

The couple subsequently had two children together, daughters Willa and Delphine, before Jonas filed for divorce in Sept. 2023, saying that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” and requesting shared custody of their children. Asked what went wrong in the high-profile relationship that found the glamorous jet-setting couple lighting up red carpets around the world during their union?

“I’m going through a legal process right now where I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad. We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard,” Turner said of the highs of the marriage, and the lows of its dissolution. One of the reported points of contention in their split was Turner’s desire for their girls to grow up in her native England, and now that she’s back in the U.K. she told the magazine that her life feels like it’s back on the rails.

“I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England,” she said. “I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long – six years – and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant. I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, I never got to touch your belly. We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”

Turner, 28, said she was homesick living in Los Angeles and Miami with Jonas, revealing that the first thing she would do in every city they lived in was “find a British shop and stock up on a month’s worth of chocolate,” comfort food that helped her feel settled, but still didn’t make up for the aspects of American society she found most troubling. “The gun violence, Roe v Wade being overturned… Everything just kind of piled on,” she said. “After the [May 2022] Uvalde [school] shooting, I knew it was time to get the f–k out of there.”

Now she’s got her own place in West London, though Turner said she’s currently staying with a friend while the girls are with Jonas in the U.S. because being home alone without her kids is “absolute agony” for her. Turner — who can be seen now in the ITV crime drama Joan — also revealed that before becoming a mother she was “very depressed and anxious,” and used to isolate herself a lot.

“Now, I think I live my life for them. I want them to see me having a social life and enjoying work and thriving in my career and relationships,” she said. “I want them to see a hard-working mum. I’ll come back and say, ‘This is why Mummy was away – it’s because she’s doing this for you, so Father Christmas can come with a big bundle of presents.’”

In September, a Florida judge declared Jonas and Turner officially divorced and single, approving a confidential, moderated agreement between the two that split their assets and detailed spousal support and custody of their children. In January, Turner dropped her “wrongful retention” suit when the ex’s reached a co-parenting agreement.

Happy Hallow-Weed: Our 2024 Cannabis Gift Guide Is Here

Halloween is upon us and the night full of fun and frights will be celebrated by more than those who decide to don a costume for the day. For the grownups out there looking to bring a boost to their night, we have our new 2024 Halloween cannabis gift guide to help.

As I always do when I put together these guides, I need to stress that cannabis is meant for users over 21 years of age. I don’t encourage overindulgence nor do I think anyone should take the use of THC or CBD products lightly. For those of us with cultivated tastes, how we choose to approach the plant is a personal choice and we should sensibly imbibe just as we would with alcohol.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I wasn’t much into Halloween as a kid and much less so as an adult. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good horror film or a haunted hay ride. Now well into my adulthood, cannabis figures prominently in my life and I will be taking part in some of my favorite treats of years past.

In some ways, this guide is just as vital for me as it is for the reader as I plan on enjoying my favorite cannabis brands and products through Halloween and the coming weekend.

Below, you’ll see some familiar brands and some new entries as well. Again, I say to those who choose to partake, please do so responsibly. We’ve got some more holidays to spend together.

Happy Halloween to all.

NOTE: This post will be updated through Halloween.
