Ye

HipHopWired Featured Video

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, aligned himself with conservative British commentator Milo Yiannopoulos and named him the chief of staff for the Yeezy brand. According to the resignation letter penned by Milo Yiannopoulos, one of the factors leading to his leaving the company is the formation of the Yeezy Porn brand.
TMZ reports that Milo Yiannopoulos, 39, spoke exclusively with the outlet and confirmed that he is no longer affiliated with Ye or the Yeezy brand.

“I wish Ye every success in the future. I have some concerns about his new team, and hope he proceeds with caution,” Yiannopoulos said to TMZ.

Yiannopoulos shared his resignation letter with the outlet, citing that the creation of the Yeezy Porn defies his personal stances and recovery, stating that the introduction of the company would be “an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual.”
Yiannopoulos did say that if Ye decides to move beyond his porn plans that he’d be open to returning to work with the company. It isn’t known how far along the Chicago producer and businessman is into his prospective venture but he has mentioned in interviews that he once struggled with an addiction to pornography.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has often made nods to his affinity for pornography and it appears that he has plans to dive in further. According to sources, Ye is in the early stages of launching an adult entertainment empire.
TMZ obtained intel from a source close to the Chicago superstar that a Yeezy Porn film studio and brand company is in development with connections to major players in the blue movie business.

Mike Moz, the ex-husband of porn legend and Donald Trump nemesis Stormy Daniels is reportedly in talks to head the studio. Moz has worked primarily as a producer, art director, and casting director. Moz was married to Daniels between 2007 and 2009.

Ye has previously detailed struggles with porn addiction but also has fully embraced his love of the genre for several instances across his career. It isn’t known the style or direction of pornography the producer will take but it should be expected to be a grand spectacle as is Ye’s usual standard when it comes to his creative endeavors.
Further, fans are well aware that Ye loves to show off the beauty and curves of the women he’s been with so it would be a safe guess that he will go for the va-va-voom.
The Yeezy Porn studio and brand is reportedly launching this year in the summer months.

Kanye West is facing another lawsuit filed by a former employee at his Donda Academy, this time accusing him of discriminating against Black staffers and seeking to lock students in cages.
In a lawsuit filed Tuesday (April 2) in Los Angeles court, Trevor Phillips says the embattled rapper (who now goes by Ye) treated the Black staff at the school “considerably worse than white employees” — and then subjected him to “incessant harassment” and “humiliation” when he spoke up about it.

Like the several other lawsuits filed by former Donda Academy employees, the new complaint includes a number of bizarre allegations about West and his conduct at the school. It claims he told students  to “shave their heads” and that he “intended to put a jail at the school” where students could be “locked in cages.”

Trending on Billboard

In another odd alleged episode, Phillips claims West summoned him to a room at the Nobu Hotel, where the rapper put on The Batman and watched it in silence.

“After a long and awkward silence, Kanye finally spoke again,” Phillips claims in the suit. “Turning his attention back to Phillips, he began an unprovoked and bigoted rant attacking Jewish people.” Later that same evening, Phillips claims West lay on the bed and simulated masturbating while talking about having orgies.

Phillips claims he was finally fired last year.

The case is the latest lawsuit filed by former staffers of Donda Academy and the Yeezy Christian Academy that preceded it. One of them, filed in July, claimed that the school lacked windows because the embattled rapper “did not like glass” and that students were not allowed on the second floor because West was “reportedly afraid of stairs.” Another case, filed in April 2023, alleged that the only food available to students was sushi.

As with those earlier cases, the strange allegations contained in Tuesday’s lawsuit supported more straightforward legal claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.

A spokesperson for West did not immediately return a request for comment on Tuesday.

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West has long since used his newly assigned moniker on social media. Via a letter issued by Ye’s team, it appears that he has legally changed his name from Kanye West to Ye permanently.
TMZ reports that YEEZY Chief of Staff Milo Yiannopoulos issued a letter that the outlet saw in full which lays out why the Ye name is here to stay.

“Ye is one of the most recognizable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes,” the letter begins. “He didn’t take the decision to change his name, potentially sacrificing some of the immense value captured by the brand of ‘Kanye West,’ lightly. The change was made fully, legally, and permanently. This is who he is now. His name is Ye.”

The outspoken rapper, producer, and designer is currently promoting his latest project Vultures, recorded collaboratively with Ty Dolla $ign. He has also made recent media appearances making claims that his influence on music is wide and that he’s invented several forms.

Life father, like daughter? It would seem North West is following in the steps of her dad, Kanye West, musically, that is.
Spotted on HipHopDX, Ye’s seed, North, is gearing up to bless her besties with an album that pays direct homage to her father’s first project.

During Vultures 2’s “listening event” in Phoenix on Sunday (March 10), standing side by side with her dad, North West announced that her album was coming.
“I’ve been working on an album, and it is called Elementary School Dropout,” the 10-year-old told her dad’s loyal to fault fans.
If you’re saying that to yourself, that sounds familiar, but it is because it is a cheeky play on her West’s first album, College Dropout, which introduced the rapping super producer to the Hip-Hop world.
The album arrives after Northie made her rapping debut on the Ty Dolla $ign assisted album Vultures 1 track, “Talking.”
In the song, the daughter of Ye and Kim Kardashian rapped, “I love it here/We’re gonna take over another year/It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie/Don’t try to test me/It’s gonna get messy/ Just, just bless me, bless me/It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie.”
Ye’s other children, Psalm and Chicago, were at the listening event and hit the stage while their older sister spit her bars.

Oh The Irony
West’s exposing his kids to social media and public light is strange because he has made big stinks about North being on TikTok and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, exposing them to social media.
Also, the hypocritical religious zealot wants everyone and the world to see his wife Bianca Censori’s goodies because he’s currently dressing her in as little clothing as possible.
When Will North West’s Album Arrive?
No word on when North West’s album is dropping. Maybe he will release it alongside Vultures 2, which he claims will not be available on digital streaming platforms. So there is a good chance it won’t see the light of day.
The first Vultures project had to be pulled due to numerous copyright issues. The rapper/producer, famous for making beats using samples, somehow forgot how clearing them works.

Honestly, add this North West album to something we (particularly this writer) aren’t checking for.

Looks like Ye, formerly Kanye West, might’ve been humbled by the backlash he brought on himself when he went on multiple antisemitic rants. Yeezus is attempting to once again apologize to the Jewish community for his Nazi-ish words.

For weeks now, Ye has been pushing back the release of his latest album Vultures, and according to TMZ, Ye now plans on releasing a 40-minute apology video before the album officially hits streaming platforms. Could this be the reason Ye keeps delaying the release of the album? We don’t know, but his day-one fans are getting antsy and take to social media to air out their frustrations every time a new release day passes without the album dropping.

Though Ye did recently release an apology, it didn’t seem to take as many felt it was a fugazi attempt to get back in the good graces of the Jewish community. Now it seems like Ye is going all out with his next attempted apology, and it could be pretty long.
Per TMZ:
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the controversial rapper got some camera guys together to shoot a lengthy apology video several weeks ago — and we’re told it ended up running about 40 minutes … with Ye talking straight to the camera.
We’re told in no uncertain terms, Ye was “rambling” and at times it was impossible to decode what he was saying.
One more thing about this apology … our sources say whatever was shot is supposed to be released sometime ahead of his new album, “Vultures,” which is scheduled to drop Feb. 9 — this after several delays dating back to late last year.
Ye taking 40 minutes to apologize to the Jewish community and apparently rambling at times? Seems quite Trumpian of him. How could this possibly go wrong?
No word on when said video is set to release (or if it will actually even be released), but best believe once it does social media will be all over it either defending or trashing it. We just hope he doesn’t say some off the wall sh*t like “the holocaust was a choice” or something.
What do y’all think of Ye dropping a 40-minute apology video? Is it a good idea or a horrible one? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kanye West and his public moves of late have been a curious mix of teasing music along with being seen traipsing around the world. By way of Ian Connor, Kanye West, also known as Ye, delivered a message to Elon Musk regarding his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
Fashion influencer and stylist Ian Connor shared an Instagram post on October 18 which shows a text conversation between him and Kanye West.

The messages began with Connor writing, “My word, All praise be to Allah” with a screenshotted text presumably from West to Elon Musk.
That message read, “When are we going to speak. You owe me nothing. You never have to speak to me again. But if we do speak. The nature of the relationship has to change.”

Ye added, “I’m not bipolar. I have signs of autism from my car accident. You can’t watch Kim keep my kids from me and not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform.”
At one point, Ye and Musk seemed to be fast friends with the X and Tesla honcho endorsing the Chicago producer and designer’s 2020 presidential bid. However, Ye’s targeted messages against the Jewish community led to him being banned from the X, formerly Twitter, platform.

A paparazzo is suingKanye West over an alleged incident in which the rapper grabbed her phone and threw it into traffic, according to court documents obtained by Billboard.
Photographer Nichol Lechmanik is suing West (sometimes known as Ye) for assault, battery, negligence and interference with the exercise of her civil rights following the alleged altercation, which occurred on the afternoon of Jan. 27 outside Sports Academy in Newbury Park, Calif., per the complaint filed in California Superior Court in Ventura County on Wednesday (May 31).

Lechmanik alleges that while driving her car and filming Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian as she exited the facility, she noticed that West was “angrily confronting” another photographer on the street outside. “Given Defendant Ye’s reputation for violence against photographers, his history of physically harming them, and based on his threatening body language, Plaintiff became fearful for the photographer’s safety,” the complaint reads. It states that Lechmanik then began filming the incident on her phone from inside her car with the window open.

Lechmanik alleges that Ye then walked up to her car and “aggressively” said, “You all ain’t gonna run up on me like that,” and when she replied that she wasn’t, he became “enraged,” reached into her car and “ripped her phone out of her hands” before throwing it “onto the street towards oncoming traffic.”

According to the lawsuit, Lechmanik said the incident caused her “great mental, and emotional pain and suffering” and that she “anticipates incurring medical and related expenses.”

Lechmanik is requesting general and special damages, punitive and exemplary damages, civil penalties and costs of the suit. Additionally, she’s asking for an order enjoining West and “all persons acting in concert with him or acting on his behalf, from touching, striking, annoying, contacting, molesting, attacking, threatening, or otherwise interfering with…the Plaintiff, and all persons similarly situated, to pursue the occupation of photographer.”

West has a long history of legal scuffles with paparazzi that stem all the way back to 2008 when he was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after breaking the flash of a paparazzo’s camera.

CLOSE

Kanye West AKA Ye is slowly coming back around on the heels of an appearance at a recent Fear Of God runway show and a pop-up of his YEEZY SEASON 10 event. Fans are also noting that Kanye West is sporting a new look in the form of some booty-hugging leggings that are tighter than a turn off a highway exit.
Kanye West, 45, was spotted earlier this week on the West Coast in all-Black leggings and a new shoe design that appears to be socks. According to the chatter on the digital streets, the sock-shoe combo is a new creation Ye is hoping to get pushed.
Adding to this, West just opened a YEEZY office on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles next door to an adidas store. Could be an epic troll move, who knows? At this rate, the new YEEZY SEASON 10 drop didn’t bring about the usual excitement that West is known for regarding fashion trends.
Of Ye’s new look, the top half of what we’ve seen in photos trends towards the baggy, slouched look of the 1990s and early 2000s, but the pants are of extreme contrast in fit. It could be part of Ye’s push for out-the-box designs in fashion or, he just doesn’t care anymore. It could go either way with Kanye West.
On Twitter, reactions to Ye in those skin-tight family jewel huggers are cropping up and we’ve got the best of the bunch below.

Adidas is still wrestling with how to dispose of 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) worth of Yeezy shoes after its breakup with the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, forcing the German sportswear maker into a big loss at the end of last year and expectations of more pain ahead.

CEO Bjorn Gulden said selling the popular line of shoes would mean paying royalties to Ye, who was dropped by Adidas five months ago after making antisemitic remarks on social media and in interviews. During an earnings call Wednesday, he pointed to “many variables” about what to do with the shoes now stacked in warehouses.

Destroying them could “raise sustainability issues,” though some companies have offered recycling solutions, said Gulden, who was named CEO after the blowup over Ye’s remarks. Restitching them to hide the Yeezy brand so they could be sold “is not very honest, so it’s not an option,” he added.

Suggestions to give them away to those in need in places like earthquake-hit Syria or Turkey would mean the product would “come back again very quickly” due to its high market value, “so that’s not really an option,” Gulden said.

If Adidas does decide to sell the shoes, “I can promise you that the people that have been hurt by this will also get something good out of it and get donations and proceeds in different ways, shapes or forms,” the CEO said.

Adidas split with Ye in October, following other brands that were facing pressure to end ties with the rapper over his antisemitic and other offensive remarks. The company is now struggling to find ways to become profitable again and replace its banner Yeezy line, which analysts have said amounted to as much as 15% of its net income.

The Ye breakup cost 600 million euros in lost sales in the last three months of 2022, helping drive the company to a net loss of 513 million euros. The decline, also attributed to higher supply costs and slumping revenue in China, contrasts with profit of 213 million euros in the fourth quarter of 2021.

More losses could be ahead, with the company forecasting a 500 million-euro hit to profit earnings this year if it decides not to repurpose the remaining Yeezy products in stock. The company is predicting a 2023 operating loss of 700 million euros.

Gulden said “so many companies” were willing to buy the popular shoes but that would mean paying royalties to Ye. Rumors that the company was in talks to sell them, however, “are not true.”

He had heard from “gazillions of people that have opinions about this, and of course when you’re sitting on the inside, it looks a little bit different than it looks on the outside.”

Gulden also said Adidas is still investigating former employees’ allegations that Ye created a toxic work environment and that the sportswear company knew about his problematic behavior and failed to protect workers.

The CEO called 2023 “a transition year,” saying “we can then start to build a profitable business again in 2024.”

Last year, fourth-quarter net sales were up a bare 1.3% at 5.21 billion euros from the same quarter a year ago. The company pointed to revenue dropping 50% in China and higher costs for supplies and shipping, which could not be offset by price hikes.

For the full year, the Herzogenaurach, Germany-based company said it made a net profit of 638 million euros on sales that rose 6%, to 22.5 billion euros.

Adidas also further shook up its leadership by replacing its top sales and marketing executives. Global sales head Roland Auschel will leave the company after 33 years and be succeeded by Arthur Hoeld, now head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Brian Grevy, head of global brands, will step down March 31. CEO Gulden will take on his product and marketing responsibilities.
