Still Blooming, coming in April. Tell me a bit about this project. When did you start working on it? What inspired it?

It’s our fourth album with the great Decca-

Yes.

label and Verve. But this one, as we continued and found ourselves at Scott Gilman studio, The Hobby Shop, we said, “Let’s make some more music, and let’s get some more singers to do, like we had on our other three, half of the tracks.” So on this one, we got half kind of instrumentals, and we’ll talk about all the tracks, if you like, and half singers, so let’s do more of that. And we found ourselves in the studio and doing it for heaven’s sakes because we had good ideas that we were excited about. And we’ve got merchandise coming out with a, you know, that has something to do with that. And the singers to whom I referred we’ll talk about, you know, how about that?

Yes, we will talk about that.

Because maybe they don’t even know yet, but you do, you listened to it.

I know, yeah, some pretty big names. Before we get into the features, I need to ask the obvious questions. You’ve had quite a life and career, but do you feel as though you are still blooming?

Well, like the record title suggests, refers to, yeah.

How nice.

Jack Harlow ft. Doja Cat “Just Us,” Icewear Vezzo ft. Big Sean & Peezy “Worth Something” & More | Daily Visuals 3.21.25

SNL 50: The Anniversary Special for People Magazine
Arturo Holmes

If we’ve learned anything about Doja Cat lately it’s that she has a thing for white guys (she’s dating the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four right now), but could she be looking to make a move and the most popular white rapper in the game today, Jack Harlow? We don’t know but they sure seem to be comfortable in each other’s presence in their latest music video.

Collaborating in the new visuals to “Just Us,” Jack Harlow and Doja Cat catch each other’s eyes in a crowded restaurant before the two get handsy with each other in the kitchen and ultimately take it to the bar where some liquid courage has them seducing one another without going overboard as Harlow doesn’t want any smoke with the Human Torch in real life. We think he could take him though. Just sayin.’

From a fancy restaurant to a fast food joint, Icewear Vezzo knows how to get things lit in the hood and for his clip to “Worth Something,” Vezzo, Big Sean and Peezy put on for Detroit and kick it at a fast food spot where they flood the parking lot with their peoples and some big boy toys to show how they roll.

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Loaded Lux and Murda Mook, Shoreline Mafia, and more.

Tetris Kelly:

j-hope is driving ARMY wild with his new single and, from his smooth track with Miguel to the brand new bop, we’re breaking down the new music from our Hope as seen in his new film.

j-hope:

But I’ve never seriously tried out any sexy concepts, you know?

Tetris Kelly:

The catchy dance-heavy video, has ARMY embracing j-hope’s flirty new swagger.

j-hope:

The pitch is a bit high. Right? I thought so too. It’s not a nice sound. It’s a little too high.

Producer:

Since it gets higher even after going into the first verse, should we go down a key there?

j-hope:

To be honest, I didn’t feel that it would be enough to do a tour with just the songs I already had. Hmmm sweet, cute and a little sexy.

Jimmy Fallon:

How did you get together with Miguel and what is the inspiration behind the song besides R&B?

j-hope:

Miguel is an artist I’ve respected very much since I was a kid. I’ve always wanted to meet and work with him. All that matters is that people who love me, love my music. I hope it goes well.

Thank you guys so much. This next song we’re about to do for you is one that I came up with while we were out on the road. We’ve been keeping the roads hot in the last couple years, playing shows on the weekends. And it it occurred to me when we were coming back from a long trip and we hit our exit to go into Nashville, and I remember thinking, there’s no better feeling than this, knowing that I’m about to be home. And so I tried to capture that into this song when we were writing it. And I hope you guys enjoy it. It’s called “Long Ride Home.”

No, I didn’t. Man, we were just trying to make a fun song out of a serious subject, I guess. And I don’t know, I didn’t really think that it would be kind of the song that put us on the map.
