d4vd Talks Coachella Set, Taylor Swift or Beyonce, Working With Kali Uchis & SZA & More | Billboard News

Ahead of d4vd’s Coachella set, the singer sat down and shared what fans could expect from his performance, and tying it into his new album, working with Kali Uchis on “Crashing,” and more!

What did you think of d4vd’s performance? Let us know in the comments!

Tetris Kelly:

Yo. What’s up? It’s Tetris with Billboard News, and I’m lucky enough to be hanging with an artist that’s performing at Coachella. d4vd, how are you feeling?

d4vd:

I’m great, man. How’re you feeling?

I’m feeling good, but I can’t imagine what is going through your mind right now. So tell me, like, how you are you prepared? Is the Fit ready? What’s the aesthetic?

Ooh, yeah, I went to the fitting yesterday. I had a little vibe check. Little vibe check. I picked out two, two fire outfits. You know, I’m excited. I’m hyped. I’m thrilled. I got all the adrenaline in my body already preparing me for Friday, but I’m excited.

So you said you got two fits picked out. So are you trying to give something different weekend one versus weekend two?

Yeah, yeah. I got this iconic style that I go for, but there’s always like so much to play around with with this style. I don’t give too much away right now, but it’s just coming, bro.

All right, and then what would you say is your style inspiration overall, when you’re, like, preparing for, like, performing or doing a photoshoot.

You know what? I like to keep it like, when I’m on stage, I have this classic kind of business attire to it, like I wear, like this white shirt with like suede pants and like all types of different stuff that kind of brings more swag to the show, you know.

Lana Del Rey’s “Henry, Come On” Signals Arrival Of New Album Coming Soon | MYSK | Billboard News

Update: At the time of posting, the singer announced that the album release date and title has changed.

Lana Del Rey is entering a new era with her new single, “Henry, Come On.” The song teases what’s to come on her new album, ‘The Right Person Will Stay.’

What do you think of Lana’s new single? Let us know in the comments below!

Tetris Kelly:

The first taste of Lana Del Rey’s country era has arrived. The singer dropped her new single “Henry, Come On,” and if you were expecting fiddles and pedal steel, you weren’t getting them with this track. The lush ballad leans into some country tropes, with references to hats hanging on walls, cowgirls, and even some “giddy up” in the chorus. However, Lana still stays true to her tradition of romance and heartbreak. The long-teased song is the first single from Lana’s upcoming 10th studio album, ‘The Right Person Will Stay,’ due out May 21st. Back in January, she teased a country album she was then calling ‘Lasso,’ but the project now seems to lean more toward a country-inspired direction. Lana will take the stage for the first night of Stagecoach on April 25, and we can’t wait to see her perform the new track live. What do you think of Lana’s new song? Lady Gaga:
It started to slowly remind me of, like, my earlier work, the mayhem of my approach to pop music, which is like something that, like, is mine, that I feel proud of.

I tried to really, like, own who I am, and just be proud of, like, my approach to music, my approach to pop music, and then also, like, even through “Abracadabra,” which is very different from “Perfect Celebrity,” take ownership over something that I started a long time ago

Right after Coachella, she’s embarking on the Mayhem Ball and had this to say about the outing: “This show is designed to be the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings Mayhem to life exactly how I envision it.”

Tetris Kelly:
K-pop stars and NBA superstars link up, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco sit courtside and the national champions have been crowned! Here’s what’s been going on in the world of sports. We covered j-hope’s concert in L.A. in our All Access. And while he was here, he had time to hang out with new Lakers superstar Luka Dončić. Luka even gave Hobi a special gift: a brand-new pair of Luka 4s. This isn’t the first time Luka has met up with a member of BTS. He also met Suga back in 2023 when he was still with the Mavericks. I think we can definitely consider Luka a part of ARMY. J-hope is not the only celeb that’s been courtside — so have Selena and Benny. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been promoting their new album, I Said I Love You First, and they had a date night on Tuesday courtside at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks and Celtics game.

That’s not all the good news — their song “The Bluest Flame” has been going viral on TikTok. Selena and Benny are really just living their best life. Selena and Benny are not the only ones who are winning — our national champions have been crowned. All the hype of March Madness leads to this. Congrats to the University of Florida’s men’s basketball team! The Gators win their third national championship, their first since 2007.

On the women’s side, powerhouse UConn returns back to the top. It’s UConn’s 12th championship for the women’s basketball team, and the team celebrated with Ne-Yo and went to a Mary J. Blige concert. Well, it’s good to know that everything turned out just fine, like Mary said, for these Huskies.

Karol G, J Balvin, Feid & More Violated Children’s Rights in ‘+57’ Lyrics, Rules Colombian Court | Billboard News

A Colombian court has ruled that Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid, Blessd, Ryan Castro and DFZM violated children’s rights in their song “+57.” Keep watching for the full story.

What do you think of the court’s ruling? Let us know in the comments below.

Tetris Kelly:

A Colombian high court has ruled a song by Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid and more violated the rights of children. We have the story. There’s been a negative response to the song “+57” by a group of Latin superstars, and The Associated Press reports a court in Colombia is saying the song’s lyrics “sexualized” minors. They’ve ordered the reggaetón stars to refrain from publishing music that violates the rights of children and teenagers, stating: “Sexualizing minors reduces them to becoming objects of desire and exposes them to risks that can affect their development.” Back on Nov. 11, 2024, Karol G gave a lengthy response to the criticism and apologized, saying, “I still have a lot to learn.” A couple of days later, the lyrics were changed in the music video, altering the phrase “a hot mama since she was 14” to “a hot mama since she was 18.” AP also reports that as a main tourist destination, the “+57” city has struggled to protect minors from sexual predators who visit the city in search of young women.

A Brand New Day With Greeicy | Billboard x Lysol

This is partner content.

Latin superstar Greeicy gives Billboard a glimpse into her life after a long string of shows and tells us how she gets the house ready to host friends and family by using Lysol’s latest line of Lavender & Cotton Blossom scented Brand New Day products.

Greeicy:
Hey, guys! Welcome! I just got back from an amazing trip. I did a lot of shows, and it feels so good to be home.

Today, we have some friends coming over, but first I need to get everything in order. A clean space allows me to clear my mind and let creativity flow. In this house, we love parties, dancing and having fun with friends. And that means shoes might end up on the furniture — or if someone gets a little too excited, even on the coffee table! That’s why I use Lysol disinfectant spray. And the new lavender scent, it smells incredible.

For me, the heart of a home is the kitchen. It’s where the day begins — with a coffee shared with family, laughter while cooking. We eat very Colombian at home since I live with my family. There’s always sancochito, beans, pork rinds — lots of delicious food. I trust Lysol All-Purpose Cleaners — it kills 99.9% of germs, keeping my family and friends protected.

The one place I always worry about when guests come over is the bathroom, but I keep Lysol Disinfecting Wipes handy to easily clean and disinfect.

Ever since I became a mom, keeping things clean has been super important so Kai can play peacefully and I can feel at ease. That’s it!

Tetris Kelly:

We’re talking all things Ye, from his new breakup to his controversial wardrobe and his feelings on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.

Jerah Milligan:

Y’all Kanye got on the KKK outfit.

Let’s say was.

Jerah Milligan:

He’s a legend. Some of his music I still love, but this KKK, first off where do you get this? Like what do you-

Stefanie Tanaka:

You don’t think he just made that? Like it’s a sheet.

Tetris Kelly:

You could Google black KKK.

Stefanie Tanaka:

No, you don’t just think he put a black sheet over his head and cut like two eye sockets out of it.

Jerah Milligan:

It’s pointed. It’s like he put a cone on top of his head.

Judy Sanchez:

This is Kanye being Kanye. He’s completely on brand.

Stefanie Tanaka:

He’s a fashion designer, right?

Judy Sanchez:

Exactly.

Stefanie Tanaka:

He has Yeezy, he could have made it.

Jerah Milligan:

If I ever went to someone’s house and they were at a sewing machine just making a KKK costume, an exclusive all black one-

Stefanie Tanaka:

You think Kanye West was sitting at a sewing machine making this?

Jim Jones “Shop,” Lougotcash, Bobby Shmurda & Jeremih “Superstar Status” & More | Daily Visuals 4.8.25

HipHopWired Featured Video
Jim Jones
Source: Bernard Beanz Smalls / Bernard Beanz Smalls,

Jim Jones has been on his grizzly something serious ever since the release of his latest album At The Church Steps and while 50 and Cam might’ve had jokes about his first week sale numbers, that negativity isn’t keeping Jomo from balling like it’s the late 2000’s.

Dropping off some new visuals to “Shop,” Jim Jones shows how he fly’s high in a private jet on his way to the Bahamas where he touches down to roll some trees and make his way to whatever establishment he will no doubt be dropping stacks in as he’s out there living his best life. You can’t tell that man anything that’ll keep him from enjoying his life.

Bobby Shmurda meanwhile seems to be enjoying his life something serious as well and in the clip for “Superstar Status,” Bobby, Lougotcash and Jeremih attend a private soiree where the women are plentiful, scantly dressed and show their adoration for all the artists on the track. For once, Bobby didn’t out twerk the women in the video. Progress LOL.

Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from Pocaan, Freddy Rugga, and more.
