Here we are again, backstage with the iconic, the legendary Ángela Aguilar. Honored to have you, queen. How are you feeling tonight? 

Ángela Aguilar  

I’m so happy. No more nerves. Tequila hit and the speech was good. I feel good. 

Drew Afaulo  

Period. I could hear the mariachis in the air.

Ángela Aguilar

I know!

Drew Afaulo  

Stunning and gorgeous. And when they walked out, I said, ‘Period, period, period,’ as they were walking past. ‘Yes, thank you. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Work, it, work, it.’ Love that. I think you’re stunning and amazing. So actually, first I want to ask you, how does it feel celebrating other women in music tonight? 

Ángela Aguilar  

It feels amazing. You know, I’m very happy to be here, because my mom has always been behind the scenes, and she was always my momager, she was like, helping me since I was very little with like my dress and stuff,

Drew Afaulo  

That’s cute.

And they’re honoring her tonight as well. 

Drew Afaulo 

Oh my gosh, how amazing.

The first awards ceremony that they honor me and my mom, and she deserves it more than I do.

Oh my gosh, that’s so sweet and amazing. What a milestone. Incredible. So for some fun things, I actually am going to give you some flowers tonight.

Cheers. So tell me what’s something that has happened in your year that you’re really proud of?

Maren Morris
I’m putting my album Dreamsicle out in May. So this all just feels like one giant pre-party for my fourth album to be out.

Tetris Kelly
We’re on the move to the show right now. What’s your vibe like on the way to a show?

Maren Morris
I mean, I certainly love to blast music before the show with my band, because it kind of works as a warmup for our vocals. My band certainly helps me relax, because they’re all just goofballs, and they make me laugh so hard. And then shows like this is like a party for them, because they get to drink White Claw and then go, hopefully sound good tonight.

Tetris Kelly
And I mean, White Claw Sessions are normally really intimate events. So what’s the difference between performing in something like this and like arenas?

Maren Morris
I feel like you get to see people and their reactions. You can see them singing along with you. It just feels more human. And I think over the years, with each album, I’ve been able to just really home in on a fanbase that is so supportive and loving, and it feels like a safe crowd when you’re at that show and just connecting with people through singing.

Tetris Kelly
You’re not gonna be late because of me.

I know. Let’s get pumped up.

Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Countdown for May 10, 2025 | Billboard News

Doechii hits a new peak in the top 10 with “Anxiety,” Alex Warren continues his rise on the Hot 100 with “Ordinary” and Kendrick and SZA continue their run on the Hot 100 with “Luther.”

This is the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 for the week dated May 10. Doechii’s “Anxiety” returns to the top 10. “Beautiful Things” hops to nine, while Morgan Wallen falls to eight. “Lose Control” is up again to seven. “Pink Pony Club” is locked at No. 6, as is “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at five, and “Nokia” at No. 4. “Die With a Smile” is down to three. We see “Ordinary” hit a new No. 2 peak. And with 11 weeks at No. 1 are Kendrick Lamar and SZA with “Luther.”

FIFTY FIFTY:

For ‘Day & Night,’ our album ‘Day & Night’ is something… It’s definitely something new that we wanted to show everybody. It has a bunch of different genres incorporated in it. There’s three songs, it’s a total of six songs, but three of those songs kind of go with the day concept and three of those songs go with the night concept, so it’s an album you can listen to all day round that goes with any time of day. There’s a song for any moment. When we recorded “POOKIE,” we really focused on bringing out the cute lyrics and the bouncy rhythm. I personally really liked the rap parts, and during recording, those parts really stood out to me. Well, since we’re one team, there’s a part in the song where we all go ‘da-da-da-da’ together. We really captured our chemistry in that moment, and expressions looked genuinely happy- so it became the most memorable music video shoot for me. The hardest part- well, not really hard, but since we had to bring “POOKIE” to life, we needed to make cute while we were monitoring each other and giving feedback like “this part looks good,” or”that one works better,” I think our team really stood out in that process. Honestly, instead of any real difficulties, what I remember more is the effort we put into everything. For me, if you listen to the song it’s very rhythmical, very exciting and just like a happy, vibey song.

Good morning and welcome! We’re here with the legendary Fito Paez to talk about his new album, Novela, and so many more things. What is your favorite Billboard moment? Past, present or future. This moment. It has to be this moment. 

Fito Paez: 
Obviously it’s this one. Clearly, being here with you. You guys have always treated me well. You guys have always loved me, you’ve listened to me, you’ve given me your attention, so that alone is huge. I really appreciate that. I always feel very grateful when people follow you, they join you, they respect you.

You’re a classic, Fito. 

We have a quality bond. 

It’s your longest album. Why did it take you so long to finish?   

I think there are some works, some pieces that are made over time and that are outside the system of anxiety, outside the system of immediate requirements, outside of the industry and outside of productivity. Because someone can make music, but to start out you need to go back to school first. Here, no. One makes music because you want to express yourself because he needs to share or have that want to get it out from inside, or give it life. Or, to start enjoying the language of music, the language of words. So, behind the scenes of that experience, in my case, my whole life, and that’s how it’s going to be until the day I die.

The menu today of fire and ice — for the fire, all things coming off the grill, grilled sea scallops with this aji Amarillo and clarified butter. These amazing, amazing head-on shrimp, marinated red chili. We’ve got some grilled New York strips, a la Fiorentina with special herbs, grilled lemon juice. And then for the ice — my favorite part, by the way, is shrimp cocktail, Porter and ceviche. It’s one tuna, one hamachi, one scallop, we call Michi Lada, and also escolar.

I love that. We spent the week in Las Vegas for all of the WWE activities before and after the main event. What’s going on y’all? I am deputy director of R&B/hip-hop, Carl Lamarre, and we are here live at WrestleMania in Las Vegas at WWE World. Billboard kicked off WrestleMania week on Thursday at WWE World. Think of it like Comic Con for wrestling fans. Wrestlers were signing top cards and belts. You could walk down the ramp to your favorite superstar’s entrance. Some pros were even giving wrestling demos in the ring. You could also catch a live podcast recording and thank John Cena for his 25 years in wrestling. Fanatics hosted a Make-a-Wish event with superstar wrestlers Tiffany Stratton and Braun Strowman in attendance. 

Tiffany Stratton:
I love the kids. That’s, like, my favorite part of being a superstar is getting to meet them and, like, do stuff like this, where they get to do their own entrances.

This ain’t Texas, it’s L.A., and we’re taking you to the opening night of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour at SoFi Stadium in Billboard All Access POV: Beyoncé. Of course, the Queen opened with “Ameriican Requiem” but had us shook when she went into the national anthem. She looked and sounded amazing all night. And it was a family affair: Blue is always a star, but Rumi was introduced to the stage and we are overwhelmed. We even got ‘Renaissance’ moments!! And I will never get over the transition from “Texas Hold ’Em” into “Crazy in Love.” Thank you, Beyoncé.

We’re out here sliving with one of our favorite pop queens, Paris Hilton. How are you? 

Paris Hilton:
I am amazing right now. That was so much fun. 

I mean, we gotta talk about how much fun it is. But let me tell you, you had one of the hottest sets at Stagecoach because Lance Bass from *NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys, Shaboozey, me, we were all outside. We couldn’t even get in Paris. 

I heard there was 1000s of people trying to get in. 

We were desperately trying to see your set, and you killed it. Brought Lizzo out. How was that? 

I love her so much. She is so kind, lovely, talented, beautiful, amazing. Her new single is so sick. And it was just so much fun, feeling the energy and how excited everyone was. And I’m just so proud. 

And I mean, you’ve been killing your festival season in general. You also popped up and surprised everybody at Coachella. So how do you prepare to, like, come to these festivals and put on a show like that?

I’ve actually been preparing this set for the past three months. So I’ve been researching, finding the best remixes of every song, remixing my songs, everything. So I want it to be very special and unique. And the outfit like this is from THEBLONDS, like it was a whole thing. And then my dancers, I’m just so grateful to my whole team for helping me put on an iconic show.
