We’re taking you to the brand new Intuit Dome in Billboard All Access. Bruno Mars kicked off the opening of the new Clippers arena at the Intuit Dome. We were at the ribbon cutting before the doors opened for the first time and everybody was excited for the king. What’s your favorite Bruno Mars song?

Meghan Trainor:

Actually my son Riley, who’s three right now

Daryl Sabara:

I was photobombing you guys the whole entire time. 

Tetris Kelly:

We love you, come in. 

Meghan Trainor:

We play “24K,” that’s his favorite. He needs to watch the music video, too. 

He opened the show with that hit. Fans filled the new spot as we watched him dance, watched his vocals soar, and when he sang “Marry You,” JLo couldn’t help but be on her feet. But the moment of the night came when Bruno had Lady Gaga join him to sing their new song. “Die With A Smile.” A legend. Thank you Bruno & Intuit Dome for an epic evening.

KATSEYE:

It’s actually crazy. This is such a full circle moment, like the last time we saw you, we were literally falling on stage. You made the group, you made the group, you made the group.

And here is the group. So you have your EP coming out. SIS and I love the title, I gotta say. So tell me what the title means, and how excited are you to put it out?

So ‘SIS’ is ‘Soft Is Strong,’ and I think the whole EP itself is, like, amazing. I’m so excited for everybody to hear it. Each song has a different story, and I hope that our fans and icons can find themselves in each song, the EP just shows a lot of our duality, like soft and strong.

And I mean, I gotta say naming the first song “Debut?” That was good.

You see what we did there. 

I see what you did there. Yeah, and how was that song? How was creating that and why was that the first one you wanted to introduce to the world? 

Oh my god, girl. I mean, that song was like, when we first heard it, we were literally all gagged because it was so fierce.

After rumors ran rampant and tons of teasing, the Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars collab is official. Gaga and Bruno posted the cover art for “Die With A Smile” announcing the song and video are dropping at midnight on the East Coast. It’s giving Country Variety Show a la Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner. Gaga captioned the cover “WHILE YOU WAIT TILL LG7.” The two have been teasing the duet the whole week. They’ve interacted in the comment section of his IG, she posted a video wearing a Bruno Mars shirt, while he posted a photo of himself wearing a Lady Gaga tee. But could we be getting a live performance of the new song tonight? Bruno is set to open LA’s new venue, the Intuit dome tonight with a second night tomorrow. It would be the perfect time for Gaga to make a surprise performance.

A new leader takes the top spot while a pair of hits make some major moves. “Kehlani” by Jordan Adetunji completes its climb to No. 1 thanks to a remix featuring its namesake on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 for the chart posting August 15th. It unseated Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar, Sevdaliza and Yseult’s “Alibi.” The rest of the chart hasn’t seen a ton of movement, but Alphaville’s 1988 hit “Forever Young” continues its climb. After a 40-spot hop, it rises again from 10 to 7. Also breaking into the top 10 is “Big Dawgs” by Hanumankind and Kalmi. It jumps from 33 to 10, the biggest gainer in the top 10. The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics have come to an end. The Olympics are a time when artists and athletes collide. We’re recapping the biggest moments between artists and athletes from the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The Olympics kicked off with two incredible performances from Lady Gaga and Celine Dion during the opening ceremony. And after the opening ceremony, Queen Bey herself introduced Team USA with her ‘Cowboy Carter’ track “YA YA.”

Get a look at America, y’all. These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us.

Tetris Kelly:

Speaking of Team USA, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles had plenty of music moments of her own. She did handstands with SZA, and her floor routine included the intro of Taylor Swift’s “…Ready for It.” We saw Flavor Flav become the biggest water polo fan, supporting and sponsoring the women’s team after their coach asked for some help.

Flavor Flav:

You know my girl on the water polo team. My name is Maggie Steffens, you know, she put out a story, you know what I’m saying, and my manager turned me on to the story. So when I read the story, I said to myself, “Let me try to help these girls out and get the glory.”

Tetris Kelly:

Even getting to hang out and support them with the first lady. Snoop Dogg has been everywhere during the Olympics, from cheering on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team, from traveling with the U.S. men’s basketball team to performing at the closing ceremony with Dr. Dre.

Get your popcorn ready ARMY because Jung Kook is hitting the big screen. His documentary, I AM STILL, hits theaters September 18th and will show his journey as a solo artist. The film follows Jung Kook from the release of “Seven” which topped the Hot 100 a year ago, through the release of his album Golden which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. A press release for the doc says, “The film presents exclusive, never-before-seen footage and interviews alongside electrifying concert performances.” Golden has notable features from Latto, Jack Harlow and Usher. We’ll have to wait and see if they sat down for interviews, but the project promises to delve into Jung Kook’s creative process, his unwavering work ethic and the unique challenges faced by the global superstar.

That’s just the vibe right now, I’ve said in a couple interviews already, it’s just a little bit of everything. If you think about the name ‘PERO NO TE ENAMORES,’ that’s what it is.

Yeah, that’s the vibe right now. I was also pretty, like, taken aback about, like, how you were able to fuse these two styles, you know, Jersey Club and corridos. You coined Jersey Corridos. How did that mix come together first of all?
