Mariah Carey’s Mom & Sister Tragically Pass Away on the Same Day | Billboard News

Mariah Carey has suffered a major loss as both her mother and sister have died on the same day. We have the report. In an unimaginable tragedy Billboard has confirmed, Mariah’s mother, Patricia, and sister, Alison, have both died, passing away within hours of one another. In a statement shared with Billboard, Carey wrote, “My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister has lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed.”

Her mother, also a singer, joined her on her Christmas album in 2010. She spoke about her relationship with her family in her 2020 memoir, ‘The Meaning Of Mariah Carey.’ Details of Patricia and Alison’s causes of death have not been confirmed, our thoughts are with Mariah and her family.

BTS’ Suga Apologizes Again After Receiving DUI From Riding a Scooter Intoxicated | Billboard News

Suga released a second apology after he received a DUI from riding his scooter intoxicated throughout the streets of Seoul. Keep watching to see what his second apology says.

BTS’ Suga apologizes again for being intoxicated while riding his scooter, this time with a handwritten note. SUGA, aka Agust D, already spoke out a couple weeks ago. After being cited by police in Seoul and having his license suspended after falling off an electric scooter. Now he posted a note to Weverse saying: “I would like to apologize again to you with shame. I deeply apologize for the disappointment and hurt of my misbehavior to my fans and everyone who loves me. I’ve made a big mistake, forgetting the responsibility to repay you with actions worthy of the love I’ve received.”

In reference to his original post a day after the incident, he stated: “I should have thought more deeply and been careful, but I couldn’t.” Some fans have expressed concern online though most have been respectful. He added: “Due to this incident, I have greatly damaged the precious memories I made with the members and fans and put a lot of pressure on the name of the BTS. Once again, I sincerely apologize to the fans who were hurt by me. I sincerely apologize for causing a social stir and disappointing many people.”

Taylor Swift praises Charli XCX and puts fan rumors of a feud to bed with her comments. Keep watching to see what the artists had to say.

If you believed the rumors of beef between Charli XCX and Taylor Swift, they’re both speaking out without directly addressing said rumors. Some fans believed “Sympathy Is a Knife” off of Charli’s hit album Brat is about Taylor Swift. 

“It’s so difficult being an artist, especially a female artist, where you’re pitted against your peers, but also expected to be best friends with every single person.” Charli made it clear before the album dropped that there weren’t any diss tracks on Brat, aside from “Von Dutch.” “And if you’re not, you’re deemed a bad feminist.” But we did see a song about Lorde get an epic remix. 

While we don’t know if T-Swift will be on a remix of “Sympathy Is a Knife,” which Charli played for New York Magazine, Taylor told the mag, “I’ve been blown away by Charli’s melodic sensibilities since I first heard ‘Stay Away’ in 2011. Her writing is surreal and inventive, always. She just takes a song to places you wouldn’t expect it to go, and she’s been doing it consistently for over a decade. I love to see hard work like that pay off.”

Taylor’s seen Charli’s work firsthand, when Charli was an opener for the Reputation Tour. When asked if she regretted the lyric that made most fans think “Sympathy” was about Taylor, she simply said no, and she was OK playing the silent game and letting the interview get awkward.

Ahead of the curated list, in this “Man on the Street,” we tapped Chicago locals to help share some of their favorite hometown hits that have inspired and energized their city, including artists such as Ye, G Herbo and more! Hey, it’s Tetris Kelly with Billboard and Tres Generaciones  Tequila asking locals in the Windy City what song best represents it. We’re trying to find the biggest get up anthem in Chicago. Hanging out in the streets of Chicago, now, which neighborhood are you in?

I live in Hyde Park.

Tell me about the history of Chicago’s music. What is the anthem that gets this city going?

Guest 1:
For me personally, it’s “Faneto” by by Chief Keef. It’s the beat, it’s the lyrics. It’s very opposite of me. But for some reason, I just really **** with it.

“Kill S–t” by Herb. Anytime I hear it, everyone just turns their lasers to the front and they know the first minute and a half, crazy.

Yeah, so James passed in 2006 if I’m not mistaken, and you know, the people that worked underneath him, they just kind of honored his legacy by just leaving everything untouched. So this was really moving for me.

Fans were able to celebrate the pop star and her newest album in tour at an exclusive pop up in West Hollywood. There was a place you could leave your photos. Shout outs to LA, of course, and I really wish I got to put on one of those sashes. It got fans ready before they headed to the new Intuit Dome to buy even more merch and prepare to sing their hearts out. She sang her hits, floated above the crowd and displayed ultimate girl power.Thank you, Olivia.

SB19’s A’TIN has won Billboard’s 2024 Fan Army Face-Off for the second consecutive year. The fandom triumphed over strong contenders, proving once again that they are keeping their crown this year. Congratulations to A’TIN!

After millions of votes were tabulated, we have a winner of Billboard’s Fan Army Face Off 2024,
A’Tin put in the work to get SB19 crown for a second year in a row. Congratulations, A’Tin for becoming this year’s ultimate goal. They topped 63 other acts to claim the top spot, directly taking out SZA, Karol G Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and then Rihanna, via landslide. Josh, Pablo Kin, Justin and Steele made the Philippines proud tying Super Junior who has the second most Fan Army Face Off titles. Only one more win and they’ll match Tiara’s record for three titles. I called it ‘Short N’ Sweet’ for multiple reasons. Like, it was not because I’m vertically challenged. It was really like I thought about some of these relationships and how some of them were the shortest I’ve ever had, and they affected me the most.

Tate McRae Invites The Kid Laroi to Perform With Her At Madison Square Garden | Billboard News

Tate McRae invites her boyfriend, The Kid Laroi, to perform his hit “Without You” with her on stage during her concert at Madison Square Garden.

To play this venue is one of my biggest dreams in the entire world. Would you guys be OK if I brought something out to sing a song with you?

Tate McRae gave fans at Madison Square Garden a treat when she brought on her boo, The Kid Laroi, for a little duet.

They performed his Hot 100 top 10 hit “Without You, and then sealed the performance with a kiss, and it wasn’t the only surprise in store for fans. She performed a new song, complete with choreo.

She hopped on TikTok after the show to share some high quality audio of the new track. It’s OK. I’m OK. I don’t really gotta stay. It’s OK. You can have them anyway. That had her bestie, Olivia Rodrigo, saying, “So good.” And ended the night with a little outing with her man.
