Jelly Roll‘s single “Halfway to Hell” is a total knockout on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart, so who better to celebrate with than Rocky? The singer-songwriter recently hung out with Sylvester Stallone on the set of Tulsa King, where they commemorated the singer’s fourth No. 1 hit on the ranking in a video posted by the legendary actor Thursday (June 13).
In the clip, Jelly and Stallone chat with crew members milling about behind them. The musician proudly tells the Rambo star about his latest feat — “Woke up on a bus in your parking lot with my fourth No. 1” — while the Golden Globe winner nudges him encouragingly.
“Fourth No. 1, unbelievable!” Stallone says, smiling.

“Looks like the fantastic singer @jellyroll615 just rolled onto the Tulsa King set! #KeepPunching 🥊,” the actor captioned the video.
Resharing the post on Instagram Stories, Jelly marveled, “I can’t believe this happened.”
As noted by the Nashville native, “Halfway to Heaven” marks his fourth Country Airplay No. 1, with the track topping the chart dated June 15, 2024. It follows previous chart-toppers “Son of a Sinner,” “Need a Favor” and Lainey Wilson collab “Save Me.”
Stallone isn’t the only legend Jelly has rubbed elbows with in recent weeks. He also recently met Eminem ahead of their duet on NBC’s Live From Detroit concert special, for which the country star performed the “Dream On” sample used in the rapper’s “Sing for the Moment.”
“I was so nervous,” Jelly said about the performance in an interview with Howard Stern earlier this week. “It definitely wasn’t my best performance — you could see the nerves on my face. This song did a lot for me in dark moments of my life, too. I’m a lifelong fan. There’s not a white kid in the world who didn’t listen to Eminem rapping.”
“There’s not enough praises for him,” the ACM Award-winner added. “He’s inarguably the greatest rapper that ever lived, ever. You’re literally meeting the greatest at his craft.”

Camila Cabello came to The Tonight Show to play on Wednesday night (June 12), with robot dogs, ice cold stories and killer dance moves. In addition to performing her frenetic single “I Luv It” with help from blindfolded dancers, Cabello talked about her upcoming album, C, XOXO (June 28)) played a new game with host Jimmy Fallon and cleared up some rumors about her viral frozen Met Gala purse.
Cabello and Fallon reminisced about running into each other at the annual fashion fantasia earlier this year and the singer admitted that by the time she saw Jimmy she was “very drunk” because she was so stressed from what happened earlier. Fallon then pulled out a picture of Cabello’s purse from that night, which consisted of a rose frozen in a block of ice.
“I didn’t think about the fact that ice, very quickly, melts,” Cabello said. “And so I get there and it’s my worst, the nightmare situation where suddenly the clutch breaks. I think it was Ed Sheeran was there he was telling a joke or something and somebody accidentally moved it and before I get my picture taken the clutch completely breaks.”
Trending on Billboard
Cabello described being surrounded by shocked A-listers including poet Amanda Gorman, actress Rachel Sennott and model Kaia Gerber, who all gasped when the purse’s straps broke off. “This is the thing you least want to happen — a bunch of famous people looking at you having a breakdown during the line before you take your picture at the Met Gala!” So Camila said she turned to Gerber and a few others for advice, landing on the solution of converting it into a (very slippery) clutch instead.
Fallon then assured Cabello that she was “glamorously” holding the block of ice, putting up a picture of a stone-faced Camila cradling the drippy purse. Also, for the record, she threw cold water on the viral report that her purse cost $25,000. “Guys! It’s water frozen!” she yelled. “You can make it at home!”
Cabello also explained her fourth album’s title, saying the new collection is a chapter in her life that feels “personal to me and authentic to me and like signed by me. Like writing a letter to someone. This is me, like it or not.” When Jimmy asked Cabello about her writing process, after noting that she has no co-writers on this album, Cabello gave an example of her skills by busting out her phone to sing a tune she wrote for the show on her way to the studio.
The voice note featured Cabello humming lightly while she sang, “New suit, same chair, new dress, blonde hair/ We’ve seen each other through some phases/ Past lives, debuts, Met Ball, saw you/ Good to have a friend in scary places/ Jimmy-a, Jimmy-a, Jimmy alright/ They came for a show well Jimmy alright/ It’s another late night/ It’s another late night talkin’,” as an astonished Fallon looked on.
The singer came back for a round of the new game Dance Charades, in which one player wore headphones and danced to a song whose title the other player had to guess. Cabello proved to be quite adept at the game, acting out Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” while pretending to bite her arm as Fallon shimmied awkwardly to Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.”
Cabello came back one more time to sing “I Luv It,” the first single from her follow-up to her 2022 LP Familia, which features guest spots from Drake, Lil Nas X, Playboi Carti and City Girls. The set opened with Cabello in a silver dress, baggy leather gloves and a black blindfold with white x’s over her eyes — a spooky look her four dancers mirrored — in the high-energy performance that featured her back-up crew holding a pair of dancing Unitree robot dogs on leashes as giant fans sent their strappy costumes flying.

After an extensive search, Disney has found the next Moana. Newcomer Catherine Laga‘aia will star as the titular character in the remake of the 2016 hit animated film. The 17-year-old actor hails from Sydney, Australia, and joins Dwayne Johnson in the feature, reprising his role as demigod Maui.
“I’m really excited to embrace this character because Moana is one of my favorites,” said Laga‘aia in a statement. “My grandfather comes from Fa‘aala, Palauli, in Savai‘i. And my grandmother is from Leulumoega Tuai on the main island of ‘Upolu in Samoa. I’m honored to have an opportunity to celebrate Samoa and all Pacific Island peoples, and to represent young girls who look like me.”
Laga‘aia picks up the role from Auli‘i Cravalho, who voice starred in the 2016 original and will executive produce the remake. She is said to be mentoring the younger actor in the role.

She’s also joining the family business. Her father is actor and singer Jay Laga’aia, who played Captain Typho in the Star Wars prequel movies.
Other cast for the Moana remake include Auckland, New Zealand, actor John Tui as Moana’s father, Chief Tui; Samoan-New Zealand actor Frankie Adams as Moana’s mother, Sina; and Rena Owen, who hails from Bay of Islands, New Zealand, as Gramma Tala.
Thomas Kail, director of Broadway’s Hamilton, is at the helm of the feature, which bows July 10, 2026. He also recently directed episodes of the Hulu limited series We Were the Lucky Ones.
Said the filmmaker: “I am thrilled to have met Catherine, Rena, Frankie and John through this casting process. I am humbled by this opportunity, and I cannot wait to all be on set together. And there’s no better pair to be in a canoe with than Catherine and Dwayne—actually, trio: Heihei is ready, too.”
Moana is a cornerstone movie for Disney, as the 2016 feature has been among the most streamed films in the U.S. for several years. According to Nielsen, it was the most viewed streaming movie of 2023 in the U.S. (It was No. 4 in 2022, and No. 2 in 2021 and 2020). Disney also has a separate, animated sequel to Moana due out Nov. 27.
Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing via their Seven Bucks Productions. Beau Flynn is producing via FlynnPictureCo. Moana songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda is also producing after landing an Oscar nomination for the song “How Far I’ll Go.”

Ariana Grande has broken her silence on her time with Nickelodeon following the claims of sexual harassment and toxic workplace conditions made by former child actors in the documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which streams on Max.
While talking with her “The Boy Is Mine” costar Penn Badgley, Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari on the trio’s Podcrushed podcast, the pop star reflected on playing Cat Valentine on the network’s Victorious and Sam & Cat when she was just a teenager. “Obviously my relationship to it has been — and is currently — changing,” she said in the Wednesday (June 12) episode. “I’ve been reprocessing a lot of what the experience was like.”
“I think that the environment needs to be made safer if kids are going to be acting, and I think there should be therapists,” continued Grande, who was cast on Victorious when she was just 14 years old. “I think there should be parents allowed to be wherever they wanna be.”
The interview comes about three months after the arrival of the docuseries, which explored multiple claims from former Nickelodeon employees about the network’s sets allegedly being rife with sexism, racism and inappropriate/predatory behavior involving underage stars and crew. The documentary also suggested that head producer Dan Schneider’s shows tended to put young women such as Grande in comedic situations with overt sexual implications. (Schneider filed a defamation lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery and the other companies behind the docuseries in May, arguing that Quiet on the Set incorrectly implied that he sexually abused the child performers he worked with.)
“It’s really taken advantage of how much it means to the young performer to get a laugh,” the “Yes, And?” artist told Badgley and his co-hosts. “We were convinced [that] was the cool thing about [Victorious]: We pushed the envelope with our humor, the innuendos. It just all happened so quickly, and now looking back on some of the clips, I’m like, ‘D–n, really?’”
“You think about it, ‘If I had a daughter …,’” she added. “There’s a bottom line. The things that weren’t approved for the network were snuck onto our website. That is another discovery. Going into it, I guess I’m upset.”
Grande also revealed that the Victorious casts’ parents were, for most of her time on the show, only occasionally allowed to be on set with their children. She also pointed out that young people in all industries, not just Hollywood, deal with inappropriate bosses and sexual harassment, and she’s glad that society is starting to push for better conditions.
“The survivors who have come forward, there’s not a word for how devastating that is to hear about,” she concluded. “I think the environment just needs to be made a lot safer all around. Like I said, I’m still, in real-time, reprocessing my relationship to it.”

Steve Carell loves Taylor Swift, and he isn’t just a bandwagon fan, either. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Monday (June 10), the actor opened up about meeting the pop star for the first time many years ago, revealing the moment he knew he was going to be a lifelong Swiftie.
According to Carell, he and Swift first crossed paths when they both appeared on MTV’s TRL, hosted by Carson Daly. “[It was] early on in my career and hers, too,” the Despicable Me star said. “I met her sort of in passing, and I thought, ‘Boy, she seems special.’ Even back then. Very sweet, very nice, just had a really nice first impression.”
A few years later, Carell said he came across a sweet video of the “Anti-Hero” singer performing for a pediatric care patient in a hospital. “I remember seeing some video of her — and it wasn’t like a big, viral thing, it was just something I found in the recesses of the internet — it was her in a hospital, playing an acoustic guitar for a patient there,” he told Fallon.
Trending on Billboard
“It was no big crew, it was, like, a really low-key, handheld thing she did on the sly,” Carell added. “I thought, ‘That’s so cool.’ Not publicized, leading with her heart. I thought, ‘OK, I’m a fan. I am going to root for that person.’”
It’s not the first time the actor — who is currently starring in Uncle Vanya on Broadway — has expressed his admiration for Swift. In a viral moment from a 2014 interview, Carell burst into a spontaneous performance of “Shake It Off,” after which he gushed, “I love it. I actually love Taylor Swift. I think she’s great.”
A couple years prior, Swift seemingly paid tribute to Carell and his The Office castmates by parodying the show behind the scenes of her “Ours” music video shoot.
