Kanye West‘s unwanted visit to the Skechers headquarters got the Saturday Night Live treatment on Oct. 29.
In the hilarious three-minute spoof, titled “Skechers Commercial,” executives and store managers from the shoe company take a hard stance against the rapper and fashion mogul’s recent anti-Semitic comments, while also revealing a hint of flattery that West — who now goes by Ye — even approached the brand.

“Like the rest of the country, we were appalled by Kanye’s horrific comments, and we vowed to never work with him in any capacity,” says SNL‘s Cecily Strong, portraying a Skechers marketing director. “But can we also point out, of all the companies he could of approached and been rejected by, he chose Skechers.”

The sketch also took a jab at Adidas for the apparel company’s delayed reaction in officially cutting ties with Ye. “It took Adidas so many days to decide not to work with him, I mean he walked in and we were like ‘Bye. Buh-bye. Door!’” Strong’s character says.

SNL cast member Bowen Yang, who plays Skechers’ director of global business, reaffirms that the shoe company would never partner with Ye, but imagines what a potential collaboration could look like.

“Sure, Kanye and Skechers would have been a perfect partnership, he’s always been a disruptor in the fashion industry,” Yang says. “What would you even call a Kanye-Skechers shoe anyway, the Skeezy?”

Ye was unceremoniously escorted out of the Skechers office in Manhattan Beach, Calif., on Oct. 26 after showing up uninvited.

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said in a statement. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. The company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.”

Numerous other brands and companies have also distanced themselves from Ye following his anti-Semitic remarks, including Balenciaga, Gap, Foot Locker and TJ Maxx.

Jack Harlow performed songs from his latest album while pulling double duty as host and musical guest during Saturday Night Live on Oct. 29.

In between his comical sketches, the Louisville rapper delivered three tracks from his sophomore album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in May.

For his first song, with an introduction from Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks, Jack brought some major 1970s disco vibes for a split performance of “Lil Secret” and “First Class,” the latter of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. Dressed in a cream-colored jacket and matching turtleneck, the 24-year-old rapper slid smoothly across the multi-colored checkered dance floor with a shiny disco ball hanging above and surrounded by dancers.

Harlow returned later in the Halloween-themed episode, this time with an introduction by SNL cast member Cecily Strong, for a laid-back performance “State Fair,” appearing alone onstage amid a colorful array of neon lights and donning a simple light green hoodie with black vest.

Jack followed fellow hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion, who also recently pulled double duty as host and musical guest on SNL. While it marked his first hosting run, the artist performed on SNL last year and appeared in a bit about NFTs that parodied Eminem’s “Without Me.” Earlier this month, Harlow also got some late-night TV practice by co-hosting The Tonight Show alongside Jimmy Fallon.

On Friday (Oct. 28), it was announced that Zayn has been cast in the upcoming animated kids film 10 Lives.

According to Deadline, the CG-animated comedy will tell the story of “a pampered and selfish cat who takes for granted the lives he has been dealt. After carelessly losing his ninth life, he begs to be given a second chance, an opportunity to show he can learn from his mistakes. Eventually, his wish is granted but with hilarious stipulations.”

Zayn will actually voice not one, but two characters, as twins Kirk and Cameron — a pair of boys whose ultra-tough exteriors hide a deep desire to please their mom. The rest of the cast includes Mo Gilligan, Bridgerton breakout star Simone Ashley, Sophie Okonedo and Dylan Llewellyn of Derry Girls. GFM Animation is expected to present first-look footage of the film at the American Film Market.

This summer, the “Pillowtalk” singer shocked fans by revisiting his One Direction days with an unexpected solo rendition of the group’s Four-era single “Night Changes.” (The moment was actually the second time Zayn had posted a 1D song to Instagram in as many months, having also dusted off the high notes to “You & I” from 2013’s Midnight Memories in June.)

Zayn’s a capella number even prompted Louis Tomlinson to comment on their strained history in a recent interview, saying, “For me, in those videos, it showed he was reflecting. It showed that he was thinking about those times. Of course, at the same time showing off his incredible voice. But that’s why it made me feel good, ’cause it was like, ah, maybe you’re thinking about good times in the band.” However, Tomlinson kept it vague about whether he considered Zayn a friend, tossing the decision on his old bandmate.

Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners claims three positions, including the No. 1 spot, on Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind, for September 2022.

Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of September 2022.

“I Really Want to Stay At Your House” by Rosa Walton ranks at No. 1 after its inclusion in the debut series’ second episode, released alongside the rest of the premiere season on Sept. 13.

In September 2022, “House” earned 7.6 million on-demand official U.S. streams and 4,000 downloads, according to Luminate. The metrics helped the song, originally released as part of the Cyberpunk 2077: Radio, Vol. 2 soundtrack in 2020, to reach multiple Billboard charts, including a No. 16 peak so far on the multi-metric Hot Alternative Songs list dated Oct. 8 (it appears at No. 20 on the latest, Oct. 29-dated survey).

“House” is joined by fellow Cyberpunk songs “Who’s Ready for Tomorrow” by Rat Boy and IBDY at No. 6 (2.5 million streams, 1,000 downloads) and “Let You Down” by Dawid Podsiadlo at No. 9 (1.5 million streams, 1,000 downloads) on the 10-position chart.

An additional new series, Disney+’s She Hulk: Attorney at Law, also claims three positions on the list, paced by Megan Thee Stallion’s “Body,” from the third episode (Sept. 1), which appears at No. 2 (9.5 million streams, 2,000 downloads).

Keith Urban released his new song, “Street Called Main,” on Friday (Oct. 28), and the single artwork will look a tad familiar to fans of a certain 1980s movie.

On Instagram, Urban shared a photo of himself in a long trench coat and standing in the middle of a street, holding a boombox over his head. The image is strikingly similar to the iconic scene in the Cameron Crowe-directed 1989 romantic teen comedy movie Say Anything.

In the movie, the character Diane Court (played by Ione Skye) is awakened by the sound of music and looks out her bedroom window to see Lloyd Dobler (played by John Cusack) standing in front of his car outside of her house, holding a boombox over his head as it plays Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes.” The gesture is meant as a reconciling moment between the couple, who had previously broken up.

Urban said of “Street Called Main” via a press release, “Some memories are triggered by the simplest of things, like finding yourself anywhere in the world – even on a ‘street called main’ – and suddenly ‘she’ comes flooding back.”

The country star is currently in the studio working on a new album slated to release in 2023, and recorded “Main” in Nashville with his longtime producer Dann Huff. He has also been criss-crossing the country on his The Speed of Now World Tour 2022, which will conclude its U.S. run with shows in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, before heading to Australia.

Urban’s current radio single, “Brown Eyes Baby,” is at No. 34 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart.

It’s been six long years, but Rihanna is finally back with her new single “Lift Me Up.” And the singer has Tems to thank for co-writing the heavenly ballad for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

The Nigerian singer songwriter, whose full name is Temilade Openiyi, expressed her excitement on Instagram early Friday morning (Oct. 28) over the new song, sharing the stark portrait of RiRi that serves as its cover art, writing, “Blessed to have written this song in honour of Chadwick Boseman and even more blessed to hear the baddest @badgalriri voice it to perfection.”

Rihanna herself was quick to land in the comments section, sending the love right back to Tems by writing, “It’s the pen for me … love to you sistren” with a trio of prayer hands, heart and flexing emojis.

The post also attracted the attention of the likes of Chance the Rapper, Stefflon Don and SZA, with the latter praising the song by commenting, “INCREDIBLE! Such a beautiful record.”

Penning “Lift Me Up” with Ri, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson and director Ryan Coogler isn’t the only way Tems is contributing to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She also recorded a cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” for the Wakanda Forever Prologue EP that dropped last July and was featured in the powerful teaser for the forthcoming Marvel sequel.

In September, Tems came away as the top winner at the 15th annual Headies Awards along with her “Essence” collaborator Wizkid. The pair took home song of the year and best R&B single while Tems racked up other trophies for best female artiste and best R&B album (for 2021’s If Orange Was a Place). Less than a month later, she also received the BMI Impact Award at the 2022 BMI London Awards.

Check out Tems’ reflection on “Lift Me Up” and Rihanna’s sweet response below.

The drought is finally over for Navy. After years of waiting with bated breath for new music from Rihanna, fans finally got it Friday (Oct. 28) in the form of “Lift Me Up” from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

The song — which serves as a tribute to the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 at 43 after a battle with colon cancer — sees the pop star going the ballad route, accompanied by acoustic guitar as she sings “Lift me up/ Hold me down/ Keep me close/ Safe and sound” in a serene chorus, earning praise from her admirers.

“Rihanna’s voice has matured and turned so rich ?!!!!! Okay mama NOW I need solo new Rihanna no soundtrack attach to it. BAD GAL RIRI,” one fan wrote.

Another remarked how nice it felt to hear the pop star’s signature vocals on a track again, tweeting, “Didn’t realize how much i missed hearing Rihanna’s voice and new music from her until it all hit me when i pressed play on lift me up.”

Another Ri Navy member hilariously added that it will be hard for them to keep their composure when it’s time to watch Wakanda Forever in theaters. “Riri ate this up n left no crumbs, and I’m suppose to sit in the theater and hear this and act normal?!?” they wrote.

See how fans are reacting to “Lift Me Up” below:
