Louis Tomlinson announced Wednesday (Feb. 8) that he’s prepping the release of his new documentary All of Those Voices.
In partnership with 78 Productions, Trafalgar Releasing is set to premiere the music film in theaters nationwide on March 22 for a limited time. Tickets will go on sale exactly one month prior to the release date on Feb. 22, with specific theater listings also being unveiled that day.
A release for All of Those Voices promises that the film will allow fans an “intimate and unvarnished view” of the former One Directioner’s life and career through the process of creating and releasing his second solo album, Faith in the Future.
“From the highs of superstardom to the lows of personal tragedy, Louis’ story is one of resilience and determination,” the tease continues, adding that “the film shows a side of Louis that fans have never seen before, as he grapples with the pressures of fame and the weight of his own voice.”
“This has been something I’ve been working on for years,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “I’m really excited to finally put it out into the world. I’ve said it a million times but I’m lucky enough to have the greatest fans an artist could wish for, and as they always go above and beyond for me, I wanted to share my story ‘in my own words.’”
Released back in late November, Tomlinson’s latest studio effort became his first top five hit on the Billboard 200 when it bowed at No. 5. The LP also landed at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart after notching the singer a career-best sales week of 37,000 copies.
Last week, Tomlinson also announced the dates of his upcoming tour of Asia, which kicks off in Japan on April 17 in support of Faith in the Future.
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have spent more than two decades roasting everyone from politicians to pop culture figures. And with the long-running animated show kicking off its 26th — yes, 26th! — season Feb. 8 on Comedy Central, the two masterminds are unlikely to stop.
In the show’s quarter century, it’s delivered parodies of musicians, from the uncomfortable (Britney Spears quite literally losing her head) to the hilarious (Randy Marsh is Lorde?!?!), with some artists even lending their voices to join in the fun (Robert Smith of The Cure battled on Mecha-Streisand). To celebrate 25 years and counting of genius (and, well crudely genius) intersections with our world, Billboard picked out some of the show’s most memorable moments involving musicians, from gay fish denier Kanye West to Jennifer Lopez as a hand puppet to Justin Bieber as “the enemy.”
And though we’re sticking purely to the Comedy Central episodes in this list, we do want to acknowledge that the show has spawned a feature-length film and more made-for-TV movies in recent years for Paramount+. South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut arrived in June 1999, and gave fans an unforgettably dirty (and successful) soundtrack to pair with it. The set — featuring such earworms as “Kyle’s Mom’s a Bitch,” “Blame Canada,” “What Would Brian Boitano Do?” and “Uncle F—a” — debuted at No. 82 on the all-genre Billboard 200 on the chart dated July 10, 1999, and peaked at No. 28 weeks later; it remained on the tally for 11 weeks.

The Jonas Brothers look back on their 2013 breakup in a new interview with IMPACT x Nightline, and Billboard has an exclusive first look at the sit-down.
Admitting that the rift between himself and his brothers reached a point where they were communicating solely through their father, Joe Jonas now sees that their time apart was necessary in the long run. “We needed it creatively,” he told ABC News and Nightline‘s Juju Chang as Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas nodded along on either side of him. “We needed it emotionally … probably therapy.”
“We didn’t want the band to end when it did,” added Kevin, “but we all really needed that time. The Band-Aid had needed to be ripped off.”
However, Joe also pointed out that, at the end of the day, the primary concern of Paul Jonas Sr. was never the band or his sons’ status as hit-making superstars. “Just like any parent would want, you want your kids to just get along,” he said.
It’s a sentiment each member of the JoBros most likely understands now that they’ve all become fathers in recent years. While Kevin’s girls — Valentina and Alena — with wife Danielle Jonas are now 9 and 6, respectively, Nick’s daughter with wife Priyanka Chopra, baby Malti, just rang in her first birthday. Meanwhile, Joe has two girls of his own with wife Sophie Turner. Older daughter Willa was born in July 2020, but the couple has yet to publicly reveal their younger daughter’s name or face.
Since the band got back together in 2019, they’ve landed their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Sucker,” and just received their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During the Jan. 30 ceremony, the brothers announced their upcoming sixth studio set, The Album, which will be released May 5 via Republic Records. The Jonas Brothers’ interview with IMPACT x Nightline will also include scenes from the recording studio where they worked on The Album, discussion of their evolution from pop stars to family men, and more.

Missy Elliott and Jack Harlow had a blast filming their Doritos Super Bowl LVII commercial. But according to the “Work It” legend, the hilarious 90-second spot just scratches the surface of the belly laughs they shared on set during their first-ever in-person meeting.
OK, sorry, that’s not true.
Missy realized while speaking to Billboard this week that they actually (almost) met before, but she just forgot. “I never met Jack before. Wait … lies,” Elliott laughed while recalling that she thought they had never crossed paths, but that Harlow reminded her on set that they were in the same studio years ago when he was an up-and-comer. While they didn’t connect then, she was blown away by how “sweet and kind” Harlow was during the shoot.
In a teaser ad released last week, Elliott chilled at her studio as Harlow called up looking for a collab, though Missy shot down the idea of a “love triangle” with the incredulous, “I don’t know about that.” Though the love triangle bit isn’t in the in the final cut, Missy said they “laughed as if we had met years back, especially when we had to keep doing those lines. It would be fun to do those bloopers of us doing the skit.”
The final product, though, has plenty of twists and surprises. Harlow said it was an honor to finally meet Elliott in person, describing her as someone who is “very special to me … super special. And, not for nothing, “completely down to Earth and an open book … she left me inspired.” He said they joked and laughed their way through the script about Jack discovering that the magic element his music is missing is a tasty triangle.
Of course that triangle looks like a Doritos chip, but in Jack’s mind, it’s transformed into a musical triangle, and when he threatens to quit hip-hop to pursue triangle greatness, Missy warns him that it’s a fool’s errand. “I gotta do me, Missy,” Harlow tells her in the ad titled “Jack’s New Angle.” Cut to Jack rocking an arena while hitting the ‘angle, teaching a room full of prodigies how to correctly strike the three-sided instrument and budding triangalists mobbing a music store that is suddenly sold out of the least respected percussion piece of an orchestra.
Thanks to Harlow, triangles become a worldwide phenomenon, and though he’s the pioneer, in the end Harlow loses out to none other than Sir Elton John — in a surprise cameo — for Triangle Player of the Year.
Harlow said it’s a “big honor” to be part of the big game for the first time, especially partnering with the maker of his favorite childhood snack on the ad. When reminded that Elliott played halftime with Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz in 2015 and then went on to star in a 2020 Pepsi SB ad, Harlow said he would feel “blessed” if he could pull a reverse Missy and play the halftime show in the future. “I look up to her so much, so it was very special to me,” he said of their collab.
“We were laughing and joking and having a good time, but I also just wanted to hear stories about some of the things she did and where her head was at when she was making music early in her career,” he said of the between-shots chatter; Elliott said their downtime also included discussions of possibly getting together to work on another project in the future. As for the surprise John cameo, Harlow called it the “cherry on top … that’s an icon that reaches everyone and adds even more legitimacy to the ad. He’s so iconic and accomplished, a genius. I was thrilled that he a part of it.”
Though they did not meet in person, Harlow said being in an ad with John was “a nice start” and he’s confident they’ll meet in the future IRL. Harlow, who will make his big screen acting debut in the upcoming reboot of White Men Can’t Jump, said he was challenged at times to come up with some “different energy” on the shoot promoting the sweet and tangy BBQ Doritos line, but he appreciated the challenge.
Neither would reveal their pick to win the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, with Harlow saying he’s “messy” and just loves “drama,” so he would like to see a thrilling, overtime game. Elliott added that she doesn’t “want to get on nobody’s bad side,” so she’s keeping her pick mum and just gearing up to watch the game, and the commercial, of course.
“I will be up early to watch [the commercial],” Elliott said of her plans for Wednesday (Feb. 8), when the full spot drops. “I don’t think there’s a bigger platform of people that are watching you.”
Check out the full ad that will air on Sunday (Feb. 12) during the big game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., above.
Diddy doesn’t do jingles, but he sure knows how to make a hit song.
That’s why Uber One tapped the hip-hop/R&B chart-topper for its 2023 Super Bowl commercial, in which Diddy tries to help the food delivery membership service come up with a song sure to convert customers, with a little assistance from his musician friends.
A trio of executives with Uber One assures the producer that jingles are out of the question. “We’re talking about a hit song,” one of them says. “You want a hit?” Diddy replies, before “This Is How We Do It” singer Montell Jordan appears in the booth, singing a new Uber-fied version of his 1995 seven-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit.

“Uber One can save you/ On rides and eats/ Yeah it’s kinda sweet,” he sings, before the next artist, Donna Lewis, takes her turn in the studio. “Uber One saves you forever/ Rides and eats, save on whatever,” she peacefully sings into the mic to the tune of her 1996 Hot 100 No. 2 track, “I Love You Always Forever.” Diddy approves, happily exclaiming, “OK, Donna!”
Kelis is the next artist to step into the studio, though she seems unimpressed that Diddy is getting a shape-up to his beard as she provides new lyrics to her 2003 Hot 100 top five hit “Milkshake.” “Your milkshakes cost way less than before/ This membership is better than yours,” she sings, before Diddy asks his barber if he’s a fan of milkshakes.
It isn’t until “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)” singers Ylvis cause chaos in the booth that Diddy brings in the big guns to the studio: “What Is Love” singer Haddaway, who breathes new life into his signature song for Uber One. “Uber One/ Uber One saves me, saves me/ Way more,” he croons, much to Diddy’s delight — but sadly, not the Uber One executives.

Kelly Clarkson powered through a cover of Adele‘s “Set Fire to the Rain” on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (Feb. 7).
“Sometimes I wake up by the door/ That heart you caught must be waiting for you/ Even now, when we’re already over/ I can’t help myself from looking for you/ I set fire to the rain/ And I threw us into the flames/ When it fell, something died/ ‘Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time,” she belted out while wearing a black brocade dress, wide belt and matching tights.
The lush power pop ballad was Adele’s third straight No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 off her behemoth 2011 album, 21, which also included chart-toppers “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You.” Of course, since then, the superstar has added titanic singles “Hello” and the recently Grammy-winning “Easy on Me” to her list of No. 1s.
Later in her talk show, Clarkson interviewed both Alison Brie and Michael Bolton, and gave her audience a preview of her latest gig hosting the NFL Honors with help from football great Michael Irvin.
Other recent Kellyoke selections on the show have run the gamut from Mark Morrison’s ’90s R&B classic “Return of the Mack” and Camilla Yarbrough’s “Take Yo’ Praise” to the indie rock of Arctic Monkeys’ 2013 single “Do I Wanna Know?” and club-ready banger “Finally” by CeCe Peniston. She also recently welcomed P!nk to the studio for an hourlong rendition of her “Songs & Stories” segment.

Directed by Kasi Lemmons, I Wanna Dance With Somebody is a “powerful and triumphant celebration of the incomparable Whitney Houston,” per Sony Pictures. The film takes audiences through Houston’s emotional journey from New Jersey choir girl to one of the most prolific recording artists of all time.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody was written by Oscar-nominated Bohemian Rhapsody screenwriter, Anthony McCarte, and produced by Clive Davis. “It hit home,” Davis told Billboard late last year. “It’s realistic. Scenes between Whitney and me, obviously, were emotionally impactful, from the time we first met to going through the musical, personal relationship we had, the more difficult times in dealing with her problems. I think the film is very accurate in its portrayal of the dialogues we had.”

Sunday night’s Grammy Awards found their biggest audience in three years, early TV ratings indicate.
Fast national ratings from CBS and Paramount+ show that 12.4 million viewers tuned in to the 2023 Grammys on Sunday night, according to The Hollywood Reporter. (THR will have final ratings on Tuesday morning.) The 2022 show drew 9.59 million viewers, meaning this year’s telecast saw a 30 percent bump year over year.
The last biggest audience for the Grammys was at the pre-pandemic January 2020 awards show, which drew 18.69 million viewers.
Paramount+ says the 2023 Grammys drew the biggest livestreaming audience in the streamer’s history, though no exact numbers were provided to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 2023 Grammy Awards, emceed by third-time host Trevor Noah, awarded the night’s Big Four prizes to a quartet of artists: Harry Styles’ Harry’s House won album of the year, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” won record of the year, Bonnie Raitt’s “And Just Like That” won song of the year, and jazz singer Samara Joy won best new artist.
Standout performances included Bad Bunny’s euphoric opening number of “El Apagón” and “Después de la Playa”; the Questlove-led 50th-anniversary salute to hip-hop, which included artists from Queen Latifah to GloRilla; and Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ crimson-hued spectacle of eventual best pop duo/group recording winner “Unholy.”
Alright, alright, alright, Matthew McConaughey is going to be the next Elvis — thank you, thank you very much. As announced Monday (Feb. 6), the 53-year-old actor will voice the King in an upcoming adult cartoon by Netflix, executive produced and co-created by the late rock ‘n’ roll legend’s wife, Priscilla Presley.

The show will be a far cry from Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed 2022 Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler, though. While McConaughey’s Elvis will still be the world famous performer we all know and love, he’s also going to have a super secret side to him that his millions of fans don’t know about: he’s a spy. Titled Agent Elvis, the series will premiere this March and will follow Elvis as he balances his superstar duties with undercover vigilante activities.
“Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll,” reads a description of the cartoon, billed by Netflix as being “offbeat,” “violent” and “raunchy.”
The Interstellar star is listed alongside Priscilla Presley as an executive producer of the project, as is John Eddie, writer and co-creator. Sony Pictures is to credit for the animation, the likes of which was previously showcased in the studio’s award-winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Viewers can get a first look at Agent Elvis in a minute-long trailer posted to Netflix’s YouTube channel on the day of the show’s announcement. “Every once in a while, man accomplishes the impossible,” McConaughey’s distinct southern drawl narrates, followed by shots of Elvis’ animated likeness landing on the moon, fist-fighting bad guys and flying around in a jetpack. “All it takes is someone with a dream. ‘Cause when a man dreams, he can change the world.”
