Selena Gomez can turn her love on, but trust that she can also turn it right off.
In a funny video shared to TikTok on Thursday (March 7), the 31-year-old singer/actress passed along some advice on how to get over a crush, featuring some moral support from her Only Murders in the Building co-star Steve Martin.
In the clip, Gomez mouths along to a hilarious audio on set while adjusting her hair in the view finder, while the Pink Panther actor watches her curiously from his seat in the background. “If you have a crush on a guy, don’t worry,” the Rare Beauty founder lip-syncs as Martin smiles behind her. “Just get to know him and it’ll go away.”
Gomez then turns around and walks out of the room while the 78-year-old grins at the camera.
“Feat. Steve Martin lol,” she wrote in her caption.

The fourth season of Only Murders — starring Gomez and Martin, along with Martin Short — is currently in production, with Hulu recently announcing that Kumail Nanjiani is joining the cast. The Wizards of Waverly Place alum’s new TikTok appears to have been filmed while the main trio was shooting season 3, based on the fact that the gold dress she wears in the clip was featured in the 10th episode of the show’s latest installment.
Gomez and Martin previously hung out together in January at the 2024 Emmys, where Only Murders was nominated for best comedy series (the award ended up going to FX’s The Bear). The “Single Soon” singer brought her boyfriend, producer Benny Blanco, as her date to the ceremony, marking one of the couple’s first major public outings.
On the music side of things, the multi-hyphenate is fresh off the release of her new single “Love On,” which debuted at No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 on the chart dated March 9.
“I try not to read too much into things, but I think the whole idea was to make a song that felt good,” she recently told Billboard of the track. “I feel like I’m in such a light and happy place, and that’s reflected in the song.”

This is what (comedy) friends are for. On Wednesday night’s (March 6) season 11 premier of The Masked Singer, host Nick Cannon got totally got by his comedy pal Kevin Hart, who made a surprise guest appearance in the clunky Book costume.
While actual cloaked performers Ugly Sweater, Starfish, Goldfish and Lovebird sang for a spot on the show, Hart stumbled his way through Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” drawing smiles and laughs from judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and newbie Rita Ora. The panel could not contain themselves as Hart — whose voice was unmistakable underneath the boxy costume — bumbled his way through the song by last season’s winner.
“They love the book because that was so amazing,” Cannon said after the performance, which Thicke also called “amazing.” “Like, I’ve done a lot, but what I’m doing right now? This might be my most novel experience yet,” Hart said through a voice changer afterwards as Thicke said his face hurt from smiling.

When the big reveal came later in the show, Thicke, who had guessed Hart, took a victory lap and hugged the funnyman while Cannon complained that the comedian was breaking the rules. “I got you! Oh, I got you Nick! This was a prank, you had no idea!… And guess what Nick? There’s nothing you can do about it!,” Hart shouted as the host lamented that his friend was out of order by bringing their longtime prank war to his stage.
“This is stupid,” Cannon complained. “That was the worst performance ever in the history of this show, how about that!”
“On purpose, Nick!” the stand-up shouted. “I performed bad on purpose!”
“You embarrassed yourself, that was stupid!” Cannon shot back.
“No, I don’t look stupid. I look put together Nick,” Hart said while wearing a flesh-colored sock on his head to go with a black long sleeved shirt, white pants and book-shaped shoes. “There’s nothing stupid about me. You know who looks stupid? You, in that stupid jacket!”
Cannon — wearing a sparkly dinner jacket — disagreed, saying, “you ruined the freakin’ show! We was gonna bring everybody out, vote, deliberate…” Hart checked his pockets and snapped, “I’m trying to see if I have a little bit of care, cuz I don’t care. That’s not my problem, that’s your problem. This is me, up on you now, Kevin Hart 1, you nothing!”
The two old friends co-hosted the 2023 E! series Celebrity Prank Wars and have played tricks on each other before, including Cannon getting Hart a llama for his 42nd birthday in 2021 and Kevin posting Nick’s personal phone number on a billboard in 2021.
Elsewhere, Lovebird sang Phillip Phillips’ “Home,” Ugly Sweater did Tina Turner’s “The Best,” Starfish took on Madonna’s “Material Girl” and Goldfish ran through Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire.” Next week’s show will feature a Wizard of Oz theme, with former competitor LeAnn Rimes (aka Sun) returning to perform “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” and the introduction of new singers Gumball, Afghan Hound, The Beets and Miss Cleocatra.

Kacey Musgraves is taking fans farther into her Deeper Well.
Musgraves’ has an upcoming interview on Sunday TODAY With Willie Geist, and Billboard has an exclusive clip of the conversation. The chat took place at New York City’s iconic Electric Lady Studios, where Musgraves recorded her upcoming album, Deeper Well, out March 15 via Interscope Records/MCA Nashville.
Electric Lady Studios, in Greenwich Village, was commissioned by Jimi Hendrix in 1968. Though Hendrix spent only 10 weeks recording in the studio prior to his death in 1970, the studio has gone on to become a beloved creative and recording oasis for artists including Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Billy Idol, Questlove, Adele, Keith Richards, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.

“This was the studio that we kind of inhabited for the few months that we spent working on this,” Musgraves tells Geist in the exclusive clip. “It was truly an amazing experience.”

Musgraves says of drawing inspiration from Electric Lady Studios, “Every studio has its own energy, but this one has such a storied past. This building — and it literally being Jimi Hendrix’s apartment — right here, that’s some seriously good mojo. I just know so many amazing creatives are drawn to creating here, and there’s a reason.
Geist comments that the colorful murals on the studio walls are from when Hendrix had the studio created, while Musgraves noted, “I don’t think it’s been touched. I think it’s pretty original … He commissioned these, which they still look amazing. They still look space-agey.”
She also discusses the studio’s location in the heart of Greenwich Village. “As you know there’s such a rich folk-music history, songwriter history, poets, activism — all of that happened here,” Musgraves said. “I was very drawn to getting out of Nashville and creating somewhere where there was a different energy, a different life kind of bubbling around you. I just think New York is one of the most unique cities in the world. It’s inspiring for sure.”
Musgraves recently released the album’s title track, and performed both “Deeper Well” and “Too Good to Be True” during an appearance on Saturday Night Live.

What Is Wizards of Waverly Place About?
In case you need a refresher on what Wizards of Waverly Place is about, it follows three teenagers: Alex, Justin and Max Russo (Jake T. Austin) who come from a long line of wizards. The teens are trained to control their powers by their dad Jerry Russo (David DeLuise) who gave up his magic in order to be with his human wife. As the teens help run their family’s sandwich shop in Manhattan, they also run into all sorts of problems both normal and magical.
Other cast members include Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera, Dan Benson, Gregg Sulkin, Bridgit Mendler and Jeff Garlin.
